Long story short I found out I don't really like the corporate world so much, sold out my soul for a few years, and now I'm crawling back to art. Hands, knees and all.

I miss you all!!! Corporate america has sucked me in though im still every now and then getting time to art. Im *still* finishing one commission and probably will not be taking them for some time. school and work leaves little room for much else.
I do miss the fandom and hopefully i can get some monies put away and meet back up again with some buddies this year.

My job is hectic. Ive moved into marketing & advertising which is fab but has consumed my life.
after the actual transition from one position to the other takes place (im kinda doing my old job and new job at same time all the time) i should have some actually down time to get back to art. i have one commission im still working on and one personal digital piece (fetish husky!) im working on.
lol.. slowly working on.

Ive spent a chunk of my evening planning my life in a spreadsheet. Feels good. I almost have a real 5, 10 year plan. I have the end goals set. how much money i need to make, what cars, spending cash, vacation, homes i want. How much i should save for retirement. So that helps narrow things down. makes things a little clearer.
Next up is how to get there. what degree to finish. what industry i want to specialize in.
I have some idea though.
In art news, i have been working on one commission. Its all i have time for. hopefully, while i love my art and will keep at it as long as i can, i hope to be able to attend more cons on the visitor end rather than the artist end. When i get a little more liquid. right now me and the mate are paying down debt, trying to save money, and investing in my education. Thinkin bout the future. man thats kinda new... but good. grounding.

I dont really do resolutions.. so i have none to share!
I do have however a three day weekend which i will be trying to get my last commission done in, and after that im probably not taking any unless i find myself in an abundance of time. I hopefully will continue to make the arts though, just not on a commission basis for a bit. Which reminds me i do have art to post! ill hopefully get on that later today

A really awesome DS game which im obsessed with, 999: 9hours 9persons 9doors which is an M rated game (crazy huh) that well... is so far just awesome, im about to finish my 3rd playthrough if that tells you anything.

and what amounts to my first semester of tuition. Im going back to school.
Hopefully in the summer. get the ball rolling, going into an associates degree program for marketing. So im really excited about that and relieved to not have to worry so much about how to pay for it for at least a few classes.

I got to see family of course which was fantastic one of my step brothers got engaged, which is very exciting and seeing everyone was really fun this year.

Last two weeks of work were uhh.. busy so im just now like getting back to my life. I have some catching up to do. Tonight its back to commissions (commission) and then some more sims.

Work is gonna be non stop coming up next two weeks. and since im now acting manager of the friggin store =P its a lot of stress.

Got most my xmas shopping done already, and im attempting to make delicious delicious fudge for everyone i dont have money to throw at. ^_^ Its been uhh an experience. First batch, disgusting.. though i somehow made caramel in the process... second batch cooling, and hopefully not crap. Then like 7 more pounds of confectionery goodness to go.

I was hoping to make a humorous happy holidays picture for FA. this may not happen due to well.. no time. but i assure you, it would of been humorous..

Oh furfright. how i wanted to attend. But life, its well, busy.
Im playing management at work without the salary, =P
which means work is longer and more stressful. Im still working a part-part time job as well and trying to actually spend time with my family and all. Its hectic but i get by.
Halloween is well, tomorrow and while i wont be dressing up for lack of planning i will be drinking. ^_^ and off dancing til the almost wee hours of the morn.
Also,
since im not setting up shop at furfright and despite my almost awesome position at work i can always use monies AND to get back to drawing. I havent worked on much lately and i really want that push to get back in the swing.

has just been posted on furbuy. Faithful friends is a no-kill animal shelter in my area. We met some of their lovely cats at a petco outting today and just fell in love. A milky eyed cat, a six toed cat.. right up my alley! Unfortunately im in no position to adopt an animal myself and have very little time or money to contribute, so i figured, lets put up a charity auction!

The auction is for any rating, up to two characters digital commission.

I have a big heart for shelter animals, all of our (meaning my moms) cats were from shelters or taken in from the streets, and since our home is full and our pockets not overflowing i want to help how i can. If my schedule allows it, some proceeds may go towards the volunteer fee for myself so i can sign up to help with clean up and cat cuddling. (how fun!)

Its summer cleaning in la casa de chew. SO you see, I have fallen back in love with two of my major hobbies. My little ponies and Ball jointed dolls. This means im whittling out other junk to support such hobbies.

Digital takes me longer. I love it, but its honest to god more work and more in depth. Expect to pay $45-65 for digital pieces.

I am still alive. less frequent but still alive.

I am unlike i was in TN, working a real have-to-go-to-a-building job. Ick. and also my remote work.. and also commissions, however i think ill have some pretty strong work to post soon. I have fewer hours to art, but im trying to make them count, and really pushing my style and capabilities.

We are haulin ass uhh.. somewhere tween tuesday the 23rd and thursday the 25th so i may not be checking emails, able to be in contact or work on commissions at that time.

we got half an inch of snow.. a server or two at our ISP went down... and my phone lost signal for two days..

i thought it was the damn zombie apocalypse.

without the net i played like 48 straight hours of the sims 3.
which means i spent a whole night thinking of my husband in terms of action bubbles...

i have uhh 1 piece of art to put up which i will shortly.. and i got like a bagillion art on the watch list to catch up on. its good to be back.

My laptop which is my main computer may be fucked.
Got a blue then black screen o death and we're working on figuring out what happened. i may be back on it by tonight, i may not.

i have limited computer access besides my laptop so if im slow on communication for a while thats why.
with some luck she should be back up, and if not i gotta send her out for repairs.

This was my first since our move, and i havent spent a holiday away from my family in, well, ever before now. But i made it through, didnt really feel like Christmas but not too bad either.
