Sorry I haven't been posting much in the last week or so. I've been havin some tablet troubles. I think I know how to fix them, it just takes a while. v.v
Oh well. I'll be spending it at my moms, not doing much. It's raining, so I think we're just gonna stay in all day and have a nice dinner tonight. <3

Posted 12 years agoYou know what I really don't like.. Why is it that whenever I search on the Google for any pictures of Squirrels, like for reference or whatever, it'll always turn up with quite a few pictures of dead squirrels? .-.
Even if I have safe search on, it still doesn't bother to filter those ones out..
Oh wells. Sorry about that.. It was just on my mind. I don't really want to see my favorite animal skinned or hacked up or run over or anything. .__.

Posted 12 years agoDoes anyone have any suggestions, or know anything about, how to make the the colors on my monitors correct?
I've tried so hard, since I got this thing, to try to fix them, and I've never been able to get it right. .-.
It bugs the heck outa me, (And is pretty much the reason why I don't color things that often,) because I know that the colors are just slightly off to make a difference.
I have to upload the thing I'm working on somewhere so I can check it with my laptop in real time, just so I can make the tiny time-consuming adjustments the color levels that it needs, just so I can be happy with possibly sharing it with you guys. .-.
So, yeah. .-.

First off, Hi!
I hope everyone had a good holiday season and an awesome new year.
I'm also sorry I haven't been around much in the past month. I've been thinking about things quite a bit lately. A lot about what I want
to do with myself as I get older. That one question. That, what am I going to do with my life? Dreadful question that everyone fears at some point.
I still don't have an answer for it. (Which is a bit depressing to be honest. :c ) I do have a decent job. It pays well.
The benefits are nice, however, each and every day I have to go to it, I slowly like it even less and less. It's gotten to the point here I
don't even like it anymore. Well.. To be honest, I don't think I ever really did like it.
Anyway.. I think I want my artwork to have to do with something I do in the future. In face, I think something like a conceptual
designer is something, or at least pretty close to what I'd like to do with myself. I know it's a long hard road, being an artist, of
any type, for a living, but it just seems like a better way to go than where I'm going now. I dunno.
I really dunno. I'm just working things through my head, trying to brain. So far the only thing I've done, stepping closer to that
goal, is getting my Cintiq. Which, to be honest, I think that's a pretty big step, considering all the capabilities..
I guess I gotta start taking things a little more seriously if I'd ever like to accomplish my goal. So, as of now, I'm gonna
temporarily close free commissions down and start practicing drawing more and more. Trying new thing and techniques. Gonna try
to start the daily sketches back up again. Maybe trying to animate or just trying to learn new programs or something. I might even
open up for not-free commissions at some point, but I still dunno. Either way, I'm gonna try to be more active around here.
Either way, enough rabbling. I hope everyone had an enjoyable time over the holidays. <3

First of all, sorry I haven't been posting things. I've gotten lazy about it, but I still am drawing mostly every day.
So, I do have daily sketches and things to post, but I'm just so lazy~
Second of all. The main reason I'm making this is cause I just noticed I'm dangerously close to that 3,000 pageview mark, on my profile, and I'd like to do something like a Kiraban for whoever can catch it~
What's so special about this free art, Ami? You always give out free arts to whoever wants them.
You might ask that and well, while some of you may know my birthday is coming up, *cough*on the 24th*cough*I expect you all to get me something*cough*cough* x3, and even less of you know (Like, two or three of you) That just by coincidence this year, I've finally saved up enough extra monies to give myself a little tablet upgrade. I've bought the new Cintiq 22HD (Which I have been more or less saving for the past, like, four years to get) and purely out of coincidence I made my goal at around my birthday this year. So, as a well deserved present to myself this year, I've gotten myself that.
Now~ Where the Kiraban comes in to play. I am out of town, visiting my dad for like the next week, till my birthday, then I go home. I just got word that my Cintiq has arrived at my house yesterday, and unfortunately for me it's 250 miles awayand I have to wait till I get back home to us it. :C So, until then, I can pass the time with this.
So, whoever can be the first catch the '3,000 pageviews' mark on my profile when it happens, and post me the screencap back in this journal, then they can be the first person I draw on my new tablet once everything is all set up to how I like it. <3

I don't think I've ever owned, or even listened to, seven speaker headphones,
let alone had headphones that have a built in amplifier and/or sub-woofer in them...

So, how it's gonna work is that if you would like your character(s) featured in any of them, feel free to send me a note or reply to this journal with any type of ref.
If you just want me to draw your character, like doing character studies, I can do that.. If you want something specific, I can do that as well, maybe.
If you don't have a character or don't want your character to be in it, or whatever, and you still have an idea, then feel free to share as well.
Please keep in mind I don't draw x-rated stuff. I might do a tasteful nude, but that's as far as I'll go, concerning that. .-.
Also, these could be anywhere from just simple two-minute sketch, or they can be a fully colored work of art. It's whatever I feel like doing.
With that said, just because you ask to be in it, doesn't guarantee that it's gonna happen.. Sorry, but I still want the freedom of drawing what I want. .-.

So, to get straight to the point, what do you do to help inspire and/or motivate yourself?
I haven't been very active around here lately. And it's not because I haven't drawn anything.
But, like, I've been going though these on and off moods where all I do is just sit here almost doing nothing.
Just wasting the day away while I really want to draw or do something productive, but for some reason I can't
sum up enough motivation to even pick up the tablet pen or a pencil. :c
I mean, I really don't wanna be lazy, but the only thing that seems to get me in the mood to do stuff these days
is if I watch other people draw, (Which sometimes that doesn't even work,) or I listen to new music. Some times
I'm not even motivated to look for the new music, and I try to push myself to do stuff, but it's like 'gah! Why bother?' D:
That's not even the worst of it.. Some times I'm motivated, but not inspired, so I can't think of anything. And some times
I'm inspired, but can't make myself do the the things I want to do, no matter how hard I try. >.<
Some times I feel like I just want to cancel everything I said I'd do, art wise, for anyone in the past, and just start fresh.
It's not like anyone's hounding me over requests or anything, but some times I just want to make it so I don't feel like I
owe anyone anything, even when I know I don't (well... except for that one half of that trade.. o: )
But, anyway, Sorry for the rant.. I really didn't expect to say all of that when I first started typing this thing. .-.
So, what do you guys do to get motivated/inspired?
Because maybe I can do some of the same to help me with this issue.

uuuuuuhh~ How many artists do I have watching me?
Like, specifically, how many of you draw art?
I've had a little something on my minds for the past couple days(/weeks,) after seeing some people make the "Draw the person above you game" journals..
Basically, what I wanna do is pretty much the same thing, but I want to get every possible person involved.
I've been thinking, making the rules something like, 'post your refs' 'Then when more people have entered you choose who you want to draw' 'Though, If you're going to participate, then you have to be willing to draw something for whichever person that you choose...'
I want everyone who enters to at least get something out of it, but I don't want to make it a 'I claim this person' kinda thing where only one person gets to draw that character, cause, I mean, that kinda interrupts the creative flow of things.
But, I dunno.. It's still all in my mind right now.
Right now I need your input..
I wanna know how many artists I have and who will be willing to participate in something like this.
And, what you think of the idea. Cause, it's all up in the air, and I'm trying to get back into drawing 'n stuff again.

Some of you may know, and I'm sure not many of you really care, but I'm driving up to Texas with my family. It's not gonna be much fun, and I'm probably gonna try to draw for the most time I'm in the car, and not driving...
So anyway~ I'm gonna open up for some sketch requests so I have something to do while I'm bored, and not sleeping, in the back of the car.
One thing though.. I can't promise that anything will get done.. These are pretty much just to keep me occupied.. So, if anyone would like some free arts, just ask here~ I'd be more than willing to draw something you you^^
It can be just about anything. I just need ideas.. Also, if you'd like anything specific, please posts as much refs as possible so I can get them saved to my phone since I dun have internets on it...
Who knows.. If it like it enough, I'll scan it and ink/color it when I get back home~ <3

Some of you may know, and I'm sure not many of you really care, but I'm driving up to Texas with my family. It's not gonna be much fun, and I'm probably gonna try to draw for the most time I'm in the car, and not driving...
So anyway~ I'm gonna open up for some sketch requests so I have something to do while I'm bored, and not sleeping, in the back of the car.

Posted 13 years agoI can't believe it's already been a week since I posted my last journal.
I feel like I've just wasted that time just sitting here and not doing anything of any importance. (Unlike of what I should've been.. )
Still can't believe I lack inspiration and that my motivation is pretty much dead, no matter what I try. ;~;
Thought musics would help.. It has, but only a tiny bit.
Anyway~ I don't even know why I'm writing all this out. Guess I'm just trying to pass the time and get on with the next day already, or something..
I hope you're all doing well, and feeling much better than I currently am. '^'

I don't even know where to start..
...So, I've been trying to doodle in my sketchbook everyday. I take it everywhere I go. It isn't exactly small, but I try to use it regardless.
Anyway, Ive been doing little doodles in it. some are good, quite a bit are not.. I've noticed that when I draw, I still lack motivation to continue with things and/or make them look good.
...I don't even know where I'm going with this either..
I guess, I've been trying to draw, but not much is working or helping. I keep wanting to, but once I start or shortly after I start, I get fed up with it.
I've been thinking lately that it might be my music. It all sounds the same to me, and not that that is a bad thing, but I guess I've just gotten used to it all.
So if anyone has any suggestions, favorites, whatever, please feel free to link/post them here. I know they would be very much appreciated. <3

I haven't been too great, myself, but I'm getting by just fine.
Also, I'm truly, truly sorry I still haven't gotten you guys arts done yet. Having no motivation to do that sort of stuff really stinks. It's no fun, and it makes me upset that I have to keep all of you kind, patient, fuzzballs waiting because of it. ;~;
