BLARGH! This sucks!
Posted 15 years agoMan, I've been getting disheartened lately as far as my music goes. I enjoy making it, but it seems like no one listens to it. It really think I'm losing more listeners with each upload than I am gaining them, and I never get any comments. With that, I never get any constructive criticism or praise. I find it difficult to figure out what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong. I also see that there's people favoriting my songs, and you have no idea how much I appreciate that... That means you listened to it, and you probably liked it to some degree. That, or you favorite music that you don't like and are therefore a weirdo. Still, comments are where it's at for me. Even a "Very nice!" or a "This is shit and I hope you die for making it, you goddamn fucking commie bastard bitch fuck-nugget piss-monkey! D:<" would be nice. Okay, maybe I got carried away with that last one... a "This isn't very good, work on it." would suffice.
I realize that I'm something of a hypocrite. I don't comment on everything I listen to or look at, but I've been trying to change that. And, uhh... I guess I'm out of things to say right now. Umm... sorry for bitching. Just needed to vent a bit, I suppose. Thank you for reading and have a good one!

Quick Question: Who do I sound like?
Posted 15 years agoI'm not so sure anybody is going to read this, but I'm just curious... What music artist(s) do you think I sound at least somewhat similar to? I really have no idea!
Also, I'm really sorry for so rarely uploading music... Man, I suck! I guess I'll throw another question in here... Do you think I should upload some WIPs/unfinished songs? I have way more of those than I do finished songs. XD

Oh noes! My PC!
Posted 16 years agoIt is borked!! This is going to set me back quite a bit, I think... Boo! D:
At least I have my Wii and DS so I can still sort of keep up with internet going-ons.

^^^^
Read this!
They might lose their house if they can't come up with $200 by the 5th! They've got most of what they need so far, but they still need about $35! If you donate anything, you can get some cheap art from one of several different artists! If you can't donate anything, at least try to spread the word and know that you've helped someone in need!
This isn't much, but if you donate anything to them between now and the 5th, I'll send you a link to a RAR file with some unfinished music by me; if you even want it, that is. You can still get the art from one of the artist, just consider this a bonus from me! :3 Just send me a note if you donate anything!

Korg DS-10 AAAAAA
Posted 16 years agoKorg DS-10 looks (and sounds) so freakin' hot... Seriously, I'm having an EARGASM AAAAAAAA... Err... I'm sorry you all had to see that.

I asked for it for Christmas, so hopefully I'll be getting it. It definitely doesn't have as many applications as FL Studio, but it's portable, and that's NICE. Not to mention it has that awesome retro sound that I love.
What do you guys think about the Korg DS-10?

Going to Seattle!
Posted 17 years agoThis Friday, I'm going to Seattle for 10 days to see my sister. I probably won't be coming on FA during that time, which means I'm certainly not going to be uploading any music or anything. :P Have some good ones, eh?
Also, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia is the bees knees!
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/38637.html
Just try to tell me that isn't awesome! Maybe I'm too much of a fanboy...

Sorry!
Posted 17 years agoYou haven't been seeing much music from me lately because I've been having a bit of a creative block. I feel that I can't make anything that's worth listening to, yet I'm still inching my way through a few new songs, which will hopefully show up here before too long.
I was sort of hoping I could make something sort of creepy for Halloween, but I just can't do it. Maybe I'll get lucky and something awesome will happen, but don't count on it. D:

Back from hospital
Posted 17 years agoI'm home from my the hospital now. The surgery went fine. I REALLY hurt. Don't expect music for a while. That is all.
That Journal Where I Whine About Serious Shit
Posted 17 years agoSo, yeah, I have scoliosis. If you don't know, that's a disorder where you spine curves in unnatural ways. That means that my spine look-a kinda like this, http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/29.....kipreopid1.jpg. I've known about this for a while, but I haven't really told too many people on the internet since it really isn't your problem. I just thought I'd bitch for once.
Anyway, I have a pretty bad case of scoliosis. There are two curves in my spine, like in the picture above. The top curve is about 60 degrees, while the lower is about 55 degrees. That's definitely not good, and causes me some pain in my back, my hip, as well as causing some breathing trouble. This means that I need surgery, surgery where they fuse parts of my spine together, which may confine my movement a little bit. If I don't have it treated, then it would get progressively worse, 1 degree a year according to doctors. What bugs me even more about all this is that scoliosis (or at least serious cases of it) is far more common in females than it is in males. I shouldn't even have this! To be fair, my mom has it, my aunt has it, and one of my sisters have it. However, they don't have it as bad as I do and have never needed surgery for it.
In order to prepare for this surgery, I have to do a bunch of stuff that I really don't want to do. I have to give 3 units of blood, and since I have somewhat of a fear of needles, that's not going to be very fun for me. I can only donate one unit of blood per visit, so I have to do it three times, 7 days in between. During the time I'm giving blood, the doctors recommend that I take iron pills 3 times a day, which may have side effects like constipation! Yaaaaay! I also have to get into some physical therapy, which I'm told I should go two times a week for $30 a pop! I also need to see my primary doctor again before the surgery, and I don't like her very much.
When the day for surgery finally comes, which I should mention is January 31, the day after my birthday, it's approximately going to be an eight hour operation! That just scares me. Having some people I don't know working inside of me and readjusting my spine for 8 hours is pretty serious business, so I think I have the right to be a little bit scared. I've never had any surgery before, so that doesn't really help either. What if one of them is having a really off day and they fuck up and kill me? Woops! What if the anesthetic doesn't keep me under? Ouch! Yeah, neither of those are very likely to happen...
After the operation, I'm told I'm going to be in intensive care for a few days. That's also a bit scary. My mom and my sister say they're going to be there for me, though, which is kind of heart warming, but I don't really want them to because I'm not sure where they'll be staying. After I get out of the hospital, I'll probably still have to stay in bed for a few weeks. I really hope I'll have enough energy to play Super Smash Brothers Brawl when it comes out!
... Yeah, even when there's bigger things at hand, I can't stop thinking about Brawl. I'm pretty pathetic.

Thank you for your support!
Posted 18 years agoWoo! My first journal!
I know this is stupid, and probably not what journals are supposed to be used for, but I'd just like to say thank you to all of you who've listened to my music! There aren't many of you, but that's okay.
Listening to a song you've made and saying, "Hey, this isn't so bad...", is one thing, but when other people say it, it's a whole nother story! As far as I can tell, you guys (and girls) are all pretty talented at what you do, so I'm pretty sure you understand this feeling. No, I'm not just saying that so you'll like me more, I've kept my eyes on most of you (not in a creepy way). You guys comment on my stuff frequently, so it's only fair that I, at very least, see what you guys are up to every now and then, right?
Without you, I'm not sure if my music would have improved as much as it has. Once again, thanks a bunch!
Also, I hate to sound greedy or anything like that, but if one of you art-type people could make me a small image (a thumbnail for my music submissions), I'd greatly appreciate it. I have the drawing ability of a blind monkey on crack, so I couldn't make anything appealing if I tried. I really feel like I'm being an asshole for asking this... I understand that even a little image = work, so if you don't want to do it, that's completely understandable. If you do want to do it, thanks in advance. :O
Bye!
