Posted 15 years agoI actually got some writing done last night, so I should have something to post by mid-week or abouts. Seriously, I've almost got a commonplace book going with the ideas knocking about in the old noggin.
Anyways, I heard about this number meme going around everywhere, so send me a note with a number between 1 and 9999, and I'll post something I know about you.
420.247 is an awesome writer of pulpy goodness. Surprisingly, he seems to prefer public transit to driving.
5678 does not mess around with the non-sexy. He's a writer of the highest caliber and a great guy to chat with.
47 is a delightful weaver of words (man, lots of writers!) with a great feel for the fantastic. He's always got interesting and insightful comments up his sleeves!

And I don't mean generic "thanks for the watch" shout (hint: nobody really likes those), but an honest "Hey, thanks for taking the time!" kind of comment.
Commenters never get the thanks they deserve. So this Saturday, take some time. Thank one or two people who've commented on your work who make you feel good or just give you motivation. Characters and Self-Loathing
Posted 15 years agoI've been seeing a lot of journals relating to stories and contests and the like, which is awesome. If you'd like a character in one of my stories, just give me a nudge. I don't think I'll be doing any requests/commissions for some time, because I'm an unreliable jerk who can't keep a schedule to save his life, but I will try to put in anyone who's looking for a smut-lit presence.
Got Them Brain Dawgs!
Posted 15 years agoOk, my other idea sort of fell through after a few attempts, but I came up with a new one yesterday! And, as per usual, I'd like a bit of input.
Still going for the fantasy thing, but instead of regular sword-and-sorcery, I'm aiming for the focus to be on interaction between the mortal characters and gods or spirits, a shamanistic thing. My one big tie-up is whether to just go full anthro with the cast, or have the spirits be anthro and everyone else be human. Thoughts, suggestions, cries of derision?
