Oh, and my arm and computer is back to 100% working condition.

Not computer this time.

I fell down a short flight of stairs and through a glass door tonight. Got abrasions on my legs, a slice through my right middle fingertip, lots of scratches, and 14 stitches on my right bicep. I think my glasses saved my eyes because there are some bad scratches on the lenses. The bicep cut was 5cm long and thankfully just cut the epidermis.

It'll be a week or so before the stitches can come out. I'm not even sure when I can strain that arm for lifting.

After a week of trying anything to get my system restored, I managed to get it back!

Now to continue to work on that drawing I was doing before it went down.

For some reason, doing a hot restart when your computer is trying to figure out the proper way to render blobmesh particles for over 20 minutes causes it to enter a startup recovery loop that cannot be fixed.

Long story short, I'm typing this on a fresh install after trying everything I can to fix it.

The good news is I did not lose any data.

Which is good because I HATE losing stuff I've worked years to get.

I should mention that the new install is on a different drive and I will try one more thing to set things right which involves doing an upgrade install with the old drive, but there's a chance I'd lose data. CAN'T HAVE THAT

So I'm going to do a partition copy to get a 1:1 copy of everything onto this new drive so that in case the fix doesn't work, I can still grab everything and work from there.

Wish me luck! I have some images I've been wanting to finish and it's driving me nuts!

And you might have noticed that I made the watermark more visible on all the images. This is because I'm planning on setting up a Patreon for both my artwork and my screen shots. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to go about it. It doesn't really help that no one is willing to pay for a commission so I'm not sure if it would even work out if at all.

I'm now 33. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel. It's been pretty lack-luster of a day.

This is a fantastic show. It was a delight to go through this. It's a great mix of humor with a brand of 4th wall humor that you just don't see anywhere else. Plus it has Muppets! You can't go wrong with Muppets!

I'm finally in a place of my own!

I just got my computer up and running which officially makes the move complete. Or at least makes living here bearable. I still have to put clothes away and organize everything.

Bitches didn't liked getting schooled by a pro.

I feel somewhat honored.

I just spent another bout installing Windows after I stupidly opened a suspicious EXE just so I can get a password to an RAR image collection and got a virus that changed all of my security settings and caused my anti-virus stuff to become "unfindable". It was all there, but wouldn't open. Must've been a registry edit somehow...

ANYWAY

After trying to finally get the full 3Tb usage for this installation (the last one had me frustrated enough to accept the partial size), I FINALLY realized that I have to force my BIOS to boot the disk drive that had UEFI in front of it! (ASUS with native UEFI BIOS). Previously, I tried an assortment of programs and extra install steps via Command Prompt with no luck.

I'm just glad Microsoft isn't having a hissy fit over how many times I'm using my license key in such a short span.

Oh, and I'm still open for commissions. Hit me up! I have lots of free time!

I heard that a lot of iPhone users are proving Darwin correct with this latest fail trend of instant-water-proofed phones. I came up with a little metaphorical tale explaining what should have been glaringly obvious to every user above age 10

Do you really think that by upgrading your phone's Operating System that the hardware is also upgraded? That is physically impossible.

Think of it like this:

Let's imagine you bought a really nice, luxury sedan. Voice Navigation GPS, Satellite Radio, Heated Seats... the works.

Say that a few weeks to a month after you drove the car off the lot and have been using it on a daily basis, the car maker/dealership (hypothetically) offers to upgrade the interior for free!

So you send it in and wait (like every other iDevice user). When you finally get it back... Wow! Instead of fabric cushion seats, you have (faux) suede leather. The dashboard is now leather instead of vinyl with imitation wood trimming all around the interior. Even the floor looks like it was made using the fanciest material available.

Later that week, you read a post online claiming that the upgrades that everyone got makes your car float like a boat! Just by having the inside of the cabin upgraded, the rest of the vehicle is magically able to drive in and out of water and not have catastrophic damage done to the engine and the electronics inside!

Even though there is clearly no signs of new or additional seals around the doors, hood, or even the trunk (and the complete lack of a seamless, sealed undercarriage), you take your freshly upgraded car to the cabin and deftly drive it into the lake to go fishing.

But alas!

The only fishing to be done will be by the Tow Truck as he pulls your sunken car from the bottom of the lake.


It takes but a moment of logical thinking to prevent a financial loss due to a lack of common sense.
