First, a question:

How would you "label" a relationship between a cisgender man and a biologically female genderqueer person?

I'm thinking about, like, Keer and Twapa or  Klashy and myself... I'm not looking for a label to USE - I'm just curious as to how people would perceive that kind of relationship. Is it het? Is it queer? Is it both? Does it depend on the sexual orientations of the people involved? If the genderqueer person identifies as male some of the time does that make them a gay couple?

It's funny because I'm realizing that relationships really depend on the people in them. Klashy and I are husband and wife. Sometimes I refer to him as my "partner" or "spouse" if I'm trying to obfuscate my sex, but when we're alone together we think of each other as husband and wife and I'm okay with that, because that's just... That's the kind of relationship we have. We're not JUST that. We're soulmates, partners, a best team. Our relationship is not distilled into these loaded, heteronormative terms. They mean what we choose them to mean for ourselves.

But I mean, I dunno. If I was with somebody else, maybe I would be a boyfriend or whatever.

Anyway. Now, an anecdote:

I went to the grocery store with my female friend the other day. I was wearing my binder and casual clothes. There was a Filipina lady running the checkout line we were in - doing the ubiquitous "thank you sir", "thank you ma'am" thing (I think it's a cultural thing that people from the PI are always polite like that). When it was my turn, she didn't say anything. She even saw my driver's license and didn't address me with a "ma'am", she just said "thank you". She may have been a little uncomfortable, but I was kind of pleased.

Because, well... Since English doesn't have a gender-neutral honorific a lack of recognition feels like a win. Because it means I'm passing as androgynous, at least in SOME capacity. I admit The rebellious, anarchist streak in me kind of enjoys it when people are confused about what to call me. Genderfuck FTW. XD


Anyway. So yeah. It's good to be back to feeling like myself again after 2 months of feeling crappiness!

Uhhhh Well, my birthday was okay. I've been in a moodslump this past week or so but maybe I'm coming out of it. It's tough to make art when I've lost my energy. I'm okay, it's just there's so much MORE I want to be doing and it sucks to not be able to make it happen. I will try to be more disciplined with my time and make sure to talk to people so that I don't get anxietized.


The comic is progressing at 1 page a week right now (all I can manage) so at least that hasn't been disrupted.

Since FA's a relatively friendly venue (and I seriously doubt that my mother would be trolling FA looking for me, haha), I'd sort of like to talk about myself a bit.

Since breaking free of the ideology I was brought up with, I've recently found myself free to explore who I am and learning to accept my own feelings about myself and who I WANT to be. Over the last couple of years I've discovered that I have a gender-neutral identity. Call it whatever, non-binary, neutral, genderqueer, "Just Me"... Either way the binary genders just don't fit me properly.

I don't feel like I can fully come out with this - not with my family, and not in any online places where they are likely to discover it easily. I have a pretty good (although geographically distant) relationship with them and I want to keep it that way if possible. It weighs on me a bit, which I guess is why I want to talk about it where I can.

Anyway, yeah. That's me. I don't have a preferred pronoun at the moment, because I'm new to this and it's not that important to me right now. I'm still in the figuring-things-out stages. I do want to connect and find support where possible, which is why I'm posting here. If anybody else out there wants to talk about this stuff I'd appreciate it!

In other OTHER news, I was just accepted to University of Guam and I plan to take some art classes this fall. : )

Has anybody ever tried this?

For instance, if I charged $5 to draw a pokemon I'd end up spending far less time and effort if I had to draw Pikachu than if it was something complicated like Arceus. Add in other factors like backgrounds (drawing, say, some rocks or trees is WAY less work than drawing a city scene in perspective or an interior with furniture) it can really add up.


So it seems like an hourly rate would be more fair in general since I would only spend a set amount of time on a given project.

The downside is, of course, if something goes wrong and I'm unable to finish a piece in the allotted time then that causes a problem... Hm.

Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Hi! I'm G! You may remember me from such internet rants as "I hate porn" and "sexuality is just so, so gross!" Well I'm happy to announce that I've grown up a bit in the last couple of years and as part of my quest for self betterment I've been trying to shrug off a lot of my anxieties - particularly my aversion to sexuality. I'm doing really well at it, I think, and recently I've tried to progress into drawing erotic art as a way of exploring this newly open part of myself. It's still a bit awkward and I still struggle a bit with being comfortable with it, but progress is being made.

I know I tried this once before but then freaked out and left, but this time it seems to be going much more smoothly. If anyone is interested in seeing my adult work, the account is here:  fluffykeerballs

My only request is please don't link to it with my real name as I'm still rather paranoid about the wrong people finding out what I've been up to - not because I'm ashamed but just because I don't wish to upset people who might not understand it - like how I myself didn't "get it" when I was younger. Maybe in the future I can be more open about this, but I'm still new and tentative and have a bit of anxiety about it yet.

So anyway, yes. Pr0ns. I haz them. : p

P.S., If you're not a fan of adult stuff, please don't think that I'm "selling out" or anything - I'm not doing this for money or fans- I'm just exploring a side of myself that has been neglected all these years and I want to share it because a) I like to share things with people who enjoy my work, and b) it's part of the process of becoming comfortable with myself.
