I wonder if there's like a Pantheon of Alicorns representing things

Celestia is the Princess of the Sun and day
Luna is the Princess of the Moon, Night, and Dreams
Cadance is the Crystal Princess and Princess of Love (apparently[?])
Now let's add another layer. We know an Alicorn can be corrupted into evil because we saw Nightmare Moon. Now look at Chrysalis. Her form is something that closely resembles an alicorn. It's quite possible she was once the original Princess of Love, who got corrupted. Basing on a fanon that she was the Pony who accidentally took the love poison, it's probable that it in turn corrupted her and after a long time it changed her permanently to something she isn't.

Now let's recall how young Cadance looked. She looked like a regular unicorn when twi was young. Could it be possible that she was a normal Pony, unicorn or otherwise, who became worthy to become a Princess herself?

Lastly, King Sombra... Could it be that he was under training to become a Prince as well? And in the process, became corrupted before it came to pass. Could it be that Chrysalis was ALSO the original Crystal Princess? Her name matches pretty closely to crystal eventhough a chrysalis is a cocoon of sorts. After her student, Sombra, fell deeply in love with her, he gave her the love poison and took it himself, which in turn messed with her love related magic, making her crave the love and desire of everypony to just survive. Sombra however felt lost, he loved his princess but his princess wanted everyone else's love and couldn't be satisfied with his. He then became corrupted himself in wishing to rule the Crystal Kingdom as a king, in hopes of attracting the attention of his Queen, Chrysalis.

I'm mostly overthinking a kid's show here, but I love the mythology behind it enough to contemplate these things.

On the trip home I was thinking to myself that I need to get new earphones for when these break. For those who don't remember or don't know, the current ones are being held together by a nylon cord holder thingy and would occasionally get loose so that the left ear loses sound. Well... I was thinking that I should get one BEFORE they break so I have these as back-up or for things that don't need that high sound quality....

As soon as I was in front of our house... they give in.... like literally as I face the gate. I tried fiddling with it, thinking it's only loose to no avail. It was dark out so I just went inside. I checked the cord,holder thing, and it's the one that ended it.... My precaution so it wouldn't break further, which for all intents and purposes worked for a few months, was actually so tight that it ripped the cord's insulating thingy and cut the wire... just for the left ear tho... but wow... I mean I haven't really been thinking of replacing them before today, but that's pretty funny... I think... or not.

So I guess I'll be needing to save up for new ones... Hopefully I can finish my commissions next week (after this FUCKING TEST) and start them again so I can buy new ones.

Sometimes the world's small coincidences sneak up on me. Take today for instance.

I head out to class, but on the way I get informed that the schedules have changed and the class today would be something I'd otherwise skip to study on my own. However, I only read the message AFTER I got there due to fear of bringing out my Phone in public (muggings and all that).

So I get there and almost get forced to enter the class I'd just be mindlessly not listening to. Somehow I get away without really getting noticed.

I decided to head over to Burger King, because it's near, and peaceful enough to study in for a while without getting distracted by the internet (I'm home now and finished one topic there).

Lo and Behold as I was in line to buy some Onion Rings (love the stuff and didn't want to be a douche an lounge about without buying anything) my older Half-Sister, the one I never talk about with anyone, and positively despise for personal reasons concerning her causing so much grief to our family, was there. Lined up behind me and called out my name in surprise.

Now what's more, I was JUST discussing something about her yesterday. So this was mindblowingly strange. AND what's MORE, I believe she doesn't even LIVE near there, and according to her was just in the area to pick up a broken camera after she had it repaired.

I have no idea how likely it was we'd meet at all ever after not speaking with her for a year or 2 or more... but there it was.

Now I'd like to tell you that we finally patched things up and everything's okay now, but that would be a huge lie. In an ideal world I would be more forgiving, but then again our world was anything but.

I turned when she called, exclaimed my surprise, asked why she was around the area, she asked why I was in the area, if I was still studying, and some pleasantries. She then offered to treat me some food. Now being prideful as I am I declined. Also being antisocial, I knew buying me food would then lead to us sharing a table and talking. Which was (1) something I can't afford to do because I came there to study (the exam's in 5 freaking days OMG HELP), (2) something I didn't WANT to do because I wear my emotions on my sleeves, and might have done something I'd regret, and (3) something that could lead into her asking for me to stop being a dick (let's be honest I am) and finally forgive her which I'm not ready to do yet.
So... reading that I bet you came to the conclusion that I incessantly denied her proposal. In which you'd be correct.

Now lecture me all you want about missed chances. Of forgiving someone. But let me tell you: You have no idea what she put my family through... the broken trust... I'll admit now that I treated her as a sister before, someone to follow, but as the years went on it became apparent to me that she wasn't someone I should look up to, that for the sake of my younger brother, I should take up the mantel as the Role Model instead. And so I did.

Maybe One day we could make peace... Maybe.... but not today... not this near to one of the most important exams I'll need to take. I made the choice to do what I did... May it be wrong or shallow, I'll be the one living with it anyway.

PS: One more mindfuckng coincidink.... The second most crucial day of the exams... is set on her birthday... Ican'teven...

I'm the type of guy who gets "favorite songs" every few weeks/months and listen to that/those song/s at least once or more a day.As a result they get ingrained with my memory as something signifying that time of my life. That means whenever I hear them I remember what I felt like in those points in my life, including other memories like important events of that time, important places I went to, the smells in the places I had to go to all the time, and the atmosphere there.

It's extremely powerful considering last year I had my internship and had to move on to different clinics/centers/hospitals every 1 or 2 months. I had a at least 1 "favorite song" per rotation, and I'm the type of guy who listens to music if there's a chance. So now when I hear the songs I get some intense nostalgia of each place, may it be good, bad, or satisfying.

I can't always remember the which songs were the "favorites" of that time, but I get an intense reaction whenever I hear them again. My ritualistic nature may be the reason I have a pretty good memory of events in my life, at least at the later points of my life. It may also be why I'm extremely sentimental with my things. They're almost always associated with a memory. Maybe somewhere deep my subconscious is afraid I'd lose those memories if I lose that object.

... Why did I write this? Fuck if I know... A little bit of procrastination I guess...

I just came home from watching Wreck-It Ralph! And I LOVED it! However, don’t take that to mean it’s a great movie, because I’m not really an aficionado of such, but I know what I like, and I like this.

Fair warning, tho. If you’re thinking of watching this to see Ralph and friends hop through your favorite classic games, then you’re in for a let down. Not to say that they don’t do this, but the amount of games they jump through are very limited. The fact that they’re in video games is just a story telling tool, not the actual point of the movie itself. The cameos are fun, though! People who actually know their classics might love this more than I do because I know very little, but it looks like a lot of them made it to the movie.

Think of it this way. The Fight Fighters ep of Gravity falls had a LOT of Game references, but video games were never the true focus of that ep. It’s like that, but instead of referencing them in terms of parody (i.e. Tron was called Nort in that ep) they could actually call those games out. It has it’s own story, and the video game references are just that. References

I love the story and it gave me a lot of feels, but it’s not the best written thing ever. I mean, I saw one of the big reveals coming from a mile away, but it isn’t bad.

There are 2 things I’m really gushing about, though. One of which is how they pull off the animation. Some of the characters act all skippy and stuff at certain points like they do in old games, like sprites. (think of Rumble McSkirmish not having a looking up animation in GF’s Fight Fighters and him being limited by it but it’s not as limiting in this movie) It’s really handled well and used creatively (imo)

The second thing I’ll be gushing about is the voice acting. It. Is. Amazing. (again IMO). All of them nailed their parts and were very believable. I really loved how Felix spoke, as it said a lot about his character in the movie, and it’s also funny.

Person of interest for me here is Sarah Silverman. Ya’ll know I really like the Vanellope Character and Sarah Silverman fucking owns it in the movie. Remember I said it gave me feels… well… the title may be Wreck-it Ralph but 80% of the feels I got were from Vanellope. She’s done really well and it really made me feel for the character. Not to mention she’s adorable as fuck.

In my opinion, it’s a great movie, and worth at least a look. I love it, but I know others won’t, so… if you think you’ll like what I do, then go see it!

I just realized how much time was wasted when I was younger. My elementary and High school's art classes never really taught me anything other than SOME perspective, SOME techniques, SOME still life, SOME crosshatching and how to do SOME construction lines on the face. And when they did teach it was in a way that, even now that I'm more experienced at art, is overly complex and doesn't REALLY tell you how it works (e.g. step 1: draw a circle, step 2: Draw the rest of the fucking thing). I never learned much and it just felt taxing whenever they taught me. And I did it all for the grade and not because I enjoyed art. Even the art club (which I only joined for one year) didn't teach us anything. They just tell us to bring tools and materials, and when we do, they just say go art something... Sure this is a good creative exercise, but only if you knew the basics which we didn't. We, or at least I, had and still have no idea how to paint on canvas, which paints to use for what I want to achieve, how to properly use a paint brush, what other tools can be used to paint with to achieve textures, different mixtures of paint to use, and many more. And at the time I had NOOOO knowledge of proper anatomy and proportions... I learned SOME years later from a how to draw manga book ... let me let that sink in... I learned more about anatomy and proportions form a HOW. TO. DRAW. MANGA. BOOK. So needless to say my results were worse than what I could've done, given proper instruction. I now remember the reason why I didn't draw as much back then. No one was there to teach me properly, hence no one sparked my interest in art at all until (brony alert) mlp. Sure a little anime fanart here and there, and some OC anime character things, but I would've never gone beyond that if I haven't met any of the artbutts on the MLP fandom. I've learned more shit about art in a year than I did my whole life prior to it.

Where am I going with this? Nowhere at all. I was just thinking about the time wasted not learning something I love.

Got home, decided to take a short nap (was out for about 2 hours) and now I want to vomit on all the things... ugh my head
