A small update and story planning

We are now into September, and Fall is just around the corner. I, for one, am looking forward to the cooler weather. Work continues to be very busy. We have a lot going on and even more to keep up with. It doesn't seem like we will ever catch up at this rate, but we just have to take things on a case-by-case basis. As such, my free time remains limited, and I am trying to enjoy what little I do have. I am hoping things will slow down as the year comes towards its end, but only time will tell if that is the case.
I was able to write a bit more this week, which was nice because I've been wanting to get back into the flow of things. A side project was finished and posted. The shrinking story with Pent and Xavier is still slowly ongoing, and I expect to get the next chapter out next week. As that story comes to its close, I've been considering what I want to do next. I don't really know what I want to work on, and I like to plan ahead. I've created a new poll to see what people are interested in.

A silly question

I don't have a lot to update on this week. I am still recovering from my illness and will be seeing a doctor about it this week. It isn't bad because it hasn't stopped me from doing much. It's more annoying than anything else, but I am a little concerned about why it continues to linger. Other than that, everything is the same. Work continues to grind along, and life churns on in monotony.
I was only able to write a little bit this week due to my lack of free time. The shrinking story may end up being shorter than the growth one, but I am still not sure. I was able to edit and publish the two pending pieces, so all completed works have been published. I am back to square one for what I will write after the shrinking story is complete. I may post a poll next week to see what people are interested in. Right now, I have created a poll to see what people associate my writing most with.

Last update for a while

The beginning of August started with a bang. Work was nonstop this week, and I ended up overdoing it. I think I caught something from someone, as I am not feeling the greatest. I am not feeling so terrible that it's debilitating, but I hope my health improves soon. Because of the illness, I may be taking some personal days for work. I haven't decided yet. On a different note, I noticed my bathroom sink sprang a leak. I am having someone look at it to make sure it isn't serious. Other than that, life continues on as normal, and there isn't anything much going on right now.
Despite how busy I was this week, I was able to write a lot. The first chapter of the shrinking story is up. Due to the lack of interest in the raffle, it will no longer be interactive. It will likely end up being three chapters like the other one, but it's hard to gauge right now since I just finished the first part. I have two other stories I also completed as side projects, which are pending approval to be posted. I will focus on the shrinking story for the time being, but it will likely be slow going as I plan to take my time on it. End of raffle and vacation

It's hard to believe that it's basically the end of July. The psychological phenomenon that the perception of time goes by quicker as you age is definitely true for me. Work continues to chug along and I still have very little free time because of it. My vacation has been cancelled and I am no longer traveling, at least until later in the year. I got some concessions out of the agreement, but it still stinks that I won't be doing what I had planned. Still, it will be nice to get a longer snowboard trip this year in addition to other small benefits.
Writing was slow this week. I made some changes to the last story I posted. I also started something new, but I am having second thoughts about the shrinking story. Part of me wants to do it, but the other part of me wants to do the time period piece with Pent and Xavier. I have ended the raffle early due to a lack of interest. I am surprised that no one took advantage of it. I would like to change it going forward to increase engagement. What would people like to see from my raffles in the future? I need to decide this week what I am doing. Fortunately, everything I booked can be rescheduled. If I move it to winter, things will be different, but the purpose would be the same. Other than that, work remains the same with very little free time and a lingering desire to switch jobs again. Regardless of that, the job market is still weak here, so that is an unlikely prospect.
In terms of writing, things remained slow. I was able to finish another side project, which is now posted in my gallery. So now the only thing on my plate is the shrinking story. I have not started it yet, but I have some plans in mind for it. The raffle and drive are still ongoing and as it stands right now no one has participated. Shrinking story drive and raffle announcement

Another week has come and gone, and things remain pretty busy for me. Work continues to be demanding with my time and patience. My boss is now asking me to change my vacation, which was mere weeks away. Promising that I would have more time off in winter. Honestly, I am not sure if I want to believe this or not. I was promised the same thing earlier this year, and here we are again. I won't lie, it's tempting, and I need to decide quickly what I want to do. Other than that, things are normal and at the very least going well for me.
Writing was a little more productive this week than last. I was able to make progress on a side project that will not be able to be posted for a little while. I also came up with some ideas for the upcoming shrinking story. I want to thank everyone for participating in the poll. People voted for Xavier to shrink, so he will be the one getting smaller in this series. I am going to try to make this story more interactive than others. At the end of each story, there will be a choice to vote on. I hope everyone enjoys this change, as it isn't something I have tried yet.

I hope everyone had a nice week and that Americans out there are enjoying their holiday weekend. Work continues to be busy, and I still have very little free time. With the free time I do have, I have been trying to make some money to pay off a debt I am trying to resolve. I also have been trying to find some new hobbies, but it is hard for me to break out of habits that have been established for years. I have realized that while some change is good, sometimes it is harder to accomplish than one might think. Still..I am trying to make small changes one day at a time.
Writing continued to be slow this week, with very little progress made. I was able to make a little bit of progress on a side project, which will be finished soon. Thanks to everyone who participated in the last poll. I have decided that the next story series that I will work on will be a shrinking-themed one. The reality of the moment

It has been a while since I've posted. Both work and life have been very busy. I have been receiving some hateful comments, which have taken a bit of a toll on me as well. It should go without saying that I do not appreciate hateful comments on my work or my profile. I will be blocking and removing these as I see them. As a side note, thank you to those who continue to show appreciation for what I do. It means a lot.
I got back to writing this week and managed to finish the teenage Pent and Xavier saga. I know I have said this before, but I truly believe this will be the end of the canon story. I have some non-canonical ideas, but right now I don't know what I want to write. I thought about going back to do the Pokémon canon, but it feels too similar to the cubby version of Pent and Xavier. I also like the idea of doing a shrinking story for them and maybe running a drive for it. I have created a new poll to see what people are interested in seeing next. If you have any suggestions, feel free to leave them in the comments below.

Looking back and planning ahead

I hope everyone is having a good weekend and that those of you who have a long weekend will enjoy it. This week was a continuation of last week and remained just as busy. Work continues to grind away like normal, and I am doing what I can to get by. Outside of work, things have settled down as I have finished both of my minor household improvements that I wanted to do. I don't have any other ideas to make my house feel more like home, but for the most part, I am happy with it. The date of my biggest vacation is fast approaching, and I am looking forward to it. There is still some minor planning to finalize, but for the most part, I know what I am going to be doing.
Writing this week was a little less productive than the last. I was able to finish one more chapter of the teen Pent and Xavier arc and only have one more planned. I think that once this is done that things will likely slow down. I don't want to get burned out, and I also need a bit of a break. I have a few ideas on what I'd like to write next. The dawn of a dilemma

Another weekend has arrived, and I hope everyone is enjoying it so far. My week was sort of crazy. A lot of things happened at work all at once. As such, my usual workload was a bit larger than it usually is. I was able to manage it but I am hoping things go back to normal soon. My sense of intuition tells me that it probably won't so I will continue to grind away if that's the case. I won't complain though...I know some have it far worse off than I do. I never take what I have for granted and am always grateful for what I have.
As for the stories, I went on a bit of a writing spree this week. I was able to finish one side project as well as two chapters of my own story. The teenage arc for Pent and Xavier is coming towards it's end. Currently, I have no idea of how to end it, but I don't think the internship chapter is the best way to do it. I intend to at least do one more chapter, but if I can come up with something more than it may end up being two. So if you guys would like to request or suggest something, then please let me know in the comments below.

Someone asked me last week if my stories are AI-generated...which they are not. I didn't let it bother me much but it still stung a bit. Regardless, I remain open for commissions and trades.

Time continues to fly by, and we are now into May. It sure seems to get faster as you get older.Still, everything continues to grind along like normal. Work has been fine, although they are thinking about asking me to move...again. This complicates things since I just bought a place last year. I am hoping it doesn't pan out this way, but only time will tell if it does. For now, I am not going to worry about it as I have more than enough on my plate to focus on and deal with. Other than that, my life has been pretty sedentary with not much changing, which is nice.
I have been making a lot of progress when it comes to writing. I was able to finish another chapter and started the next one. Currently, I have two more ideas to flesh out. I think I have a plan now to see how the current arc ends. As it stands, you can expect 3 more chapters before I move on to something else. I am unsure if I will revisit the Pent & Xavier story in a different way, but it's evident that I've been enjoying writing it. For those curious, I am still planning on going back to the Pokémon canon when I am done.

Canon vs non-canon stories

I hope everyone had a nice week and is enjoying their weekend so far. My week was pretty busy and went by very quickly. Work has stacked me with a few extra responsibilities that I wasn't expecting. Of course, I didn't get a raise for it, which is a little disappointing. I am hoping for one in June by time will tell if that happens. I will be traveling out of town this week on business, so things will shift a bit for a few days. Other than that, everything is mostly the same.
I was able to finish my side project this week, but I will be unable to post it for a while since it is a gift. I also continued work on the young teen Pent and Xavier saga. I have at least 3 more chapters planned but don't have any ideas beyond that presently. I will likely return to the Pokémon canon when that is done. I am curious, would people like to see me write more non-canonical stuff? I haven't written a lot of it lately and the most recent is the growth bit. Let me know in the poll below.

I hope everyone had a nice week and is enjoying their weekend so far. My week was pretty busy and went by very quickly. Work has stacked me with a few extra responsibilities that I wasn't expecting. Of course, I didn't get a raise for it, which is a little disappointing. I am hoping for one in June by time will tell if that happens. I will be traveling out of town this week on business, so things will shift a bit for a few days. Other than that, everything is mostly the same.
I was able to finish my side project this week, but I will be unable to post it for a while since it is a gift. I also continued work on the young teen Pent and Xavier saga. I have at least 3 more chapters planned but don't have any ideas beyond that presently. I will likely return to the Pokémon canon when that is done. I am curious, would people like to see me write more non-canonical stuff? I haven't written a lot of it lately and the most recent is the growth bit. Let me know in the poll below.

Another Year Older

It is almost the middle of the month and I recently had my birthday. It's kind of crazy to think about aging but it's something no one can avoid. I won't share publicly how old I am but I am very much middle-aged now. If you're wondering what I did for it...I didn't do anything special. I stopped treating my birthday differently a long time ago. I am not crazy about getting attention and I like to keep it that way. As for work, things remain more or less the same despite the change in political climate. Politically things are heating up here as another election cycle is under way. I know who I am voting for but I will not share my opinion here as I prefer to remain neutral publicly.
Writing has been more productive as of late. I was able to finish another chapter of the young teen Pent and Xavier arc. I have also started the next chapter and have a couple of ideas that I'd like to flesh out. I'd like to mention again that I am unsure how long this arc will be and I'm just going with the flow. I forsee at least a few more chapters but it's hard to say. I also have one side project I will be starting and it will be a secret until it's shared in due time.

Road to recovery

It has been a little bit over 2 weeks since my incident. Fortunately, my hand is slowly returning to normal. Only minor swelling still resides and at some point, I will need to take out the remaining stitches since they are not dissolving. The good thing about it is it hasn't affected my lifestyle so I've been able to maintain my usual routine. Work has been slower, mostly because they reduced my usual responsibilities because of my injury. I assume things will go back to normal this coming week. I am hoping that the contractor I hired to do work on my condo will finish the work this week but time will tell if he does or not.
Writing was very productive this week. I was able to finish a longer story for the teenage Pent and Xavier arc. I have a few more ideas to flesh out for them but I am still unsure how long it will be. I've gotten some good feedback for it but is there anything people would like to see for this story arc? For those people who liked the Pokemon-themed stories, I have decided that once I am done with the current storyline that I will return to it to finish it off.

A mess of a week

I hope everyone had a better week than I did. It has been quite the crazy week for me and one that caused a lot of stress and anxiety. Chiefly, this was because I have been preparing to do a small renovation project of my foyer. I spent a bit of money getting ready for it and I believe for the most part I got a good deal. I had even reached out to people to hire someone to do it but I still had to do the legwork for the materials. Yesterday, I was taking down the door and ended up cutting myself pretty badly in the process. As such I ended up in the ER. In retrospect I should have waited but what's done is done. It could have been far worse and the injury appears to be minor. Time will tell how I heal up but for now my work flow will be more limited because of the fact it was on my dominant hand.
Writing was a bit slower than usual this week. I did not have as much free time as the week before but I did manage to finish one piece. I don't have any other projects on my plate right now, so I will likely go back to writing the early teen arc for Pent and Xavier. I am working on fleshing out the idea in my head more, but for now, I have enough to go with. Some people have given me some interesting things to consider so thanks for everyone's interest in the project.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Time continues to fly by and my plans for a longer vacation continue to be hammered out. Work is more or less the same with only a few hiccups here and there. My responsibilities have shifted a bit so I have a bit more on my plate than usual. I am also trying to do some minor condo repairs so that my living situation is a bit better. It is nothing I can't handle and am trying to figure out how to be as DIY as possible. Time will tell if I stay here or not but if nothing else, the work should make it more valuable to sell in the end if that is what ends up happening.
Writing was a bit slower this week due to the changes at work. I was able to manage to finish the first chapter of the "mid-teen saga" for Pent and Xavier. This will be the first time I've written something extensively from the perspective of that age group, so please tell me what you think of it. I have a basic idea of some things they can do, but it will take some getting used to as I normally write cubby stuff. Still, I am looking forward to branching out.

A question about YCH

Another month has come and gone. Work has been more or less the same though things seem to be changing a bit because of the political climate. Please do not ask me my opinion on the situation. I do not wish to get into political discussions or debates. I have recovered from my illness. It seemed to be mostly minor and I feel better now. I have also learned that I will be traveling for work at the end of next month. I am not looking forward to it but there isn't much I can do about it.
I continue to be on a bit of a writing streak. I think shifting away from the Pokemon cannon has helped me a bit. I posted the most recent finished work and once again I don't have any other owed work on my plate. I began working on the mid-teen story arc for Pent and Xavier. I have a few ideas for it and will continue to flesh it out as time goes on. As of right now, I don't have a plan on how long or involved it will be. Though, I do not think it will end up as being as long as the pre-teen story arc.

End of the Drive and a new poll

I hope everyone is doing well and having a new week. I think I caught something from someone at work and ended up taking today off. Here's to hoping I recover sooner rather than later but it seems to be pretty mild. Work continues as normal with them returning me to my routine tasks. I invested in a new device so I can continue writing on my terms when I have free time. Other than that life has been normal and things continue to run along with only minor hiccups.
Writing has been very productive for me for the last few weeks. The final chapter of the Pent and Xavier macro/micro saga has been posted. I was originally going to make it longer but I didn't want it to drone on too long since it's more theme-focused than some of my other stuff. That being said, I am not sure what I will focus on writing next. I don't know that I want to continue my Pokemon cannon anymore as I wasn't really into it. We are now about halfway through February and time continues to fly by. Work wasn't quite as hectic this week. I was mostly tasked with administrative things which didn't take me long to complete. The less nuanced things at work are nowhere near as stressful as my main responsibilities. I have also scheduled my vacation for early fall and am looking forward to that. Other than that...things continue as normal and I am contemplating possibly going to a local fur con for the first time in a long time.

I hope everyone had a nice and productive week. My work week was very busy and I had way too many tasks to complete for one person. Fortunately, many of them did not have a deadline and the ones that did I was able to finish. On a bad note, my drier died this week and so I’ve had a bit of an unexpected expense to replace it. It’s nothing I can’t handle but it just stinks that it was right after I made my tax payment to the government.
Writing was also relatively productive this week. I was able to finish the first chapter in the Pent and Xavier macro/micro saga. I hope everyone is having a nice weekend and that the first month of the year treated you well. It's crazy how fast time flies as you get older. My tax situation has been resolved and it wasn't quite as bad as I expected. It's nice to put that behind me at least for now. As for work, things remain the same and the status quo will continue for the foreseeable future. On a personal note...I am looking forward to potentially planning my big trip this year very soon.
Writing continues at a slow pace. I was able to finish a single piece and have posted it in the gallery. I still do not have a distinct plan for the Pokemon cannon, but I will continue writing it and see where it goes. First journal of 2025

I hope that everyone had a nice new years and an enjoyable set of holidays. There is no doubt that things are likely kicking into gear again for people and I am no different. Work continues to grind away and things haven't changed much. I am hoping that next month that I will get a raise or things will be more financially complicated for me this year. There is a big question mark on how taxes will look for me going forward but I will be finding out in a somewhat short period.
For writing, things were much slower this week. I was able to finish the one project that is posted. I am working on the next chapter of the Pokemon cannon. But I am afraid that I will lose interest in it eventually as I still don't know what I want to do with it. What I do know is that I don't want it to just become a Pokemon version of my other story. This is why Rogziel will continue to be the "main character" so that I don't fall into that possibility.

Retrospective on 2024

I hope that everyone is enjoying the holidays and weekend. I just got back from my short snowboarding trip and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was nice to get off work for a few days but the grind will resume on Monday. As for my plans on 2025, the biggest thing I have planned is a trip that I am still working out the details of. I'd also like to focus more on spending a little more time doing things for myself rather than worrying about work. Time will tell if I can pull that off or not with my job situation.
In 2024, I feel like I was a little less productive than the year before when it came to writing. I was able to finish the canon story involving Pent and Xavier. It was nice to see something to completion that was a passion project for me for a while. I also picked back up the Pokemon stories but am still struggling with the question of where I want to go with them. Commissions and trades continue to be slow but I am still trying to figure out a way to reach more people and widen my audience.
Personally, this year was a bit of a mixed bag. I committed to a condo and it remains to be seen if it will be worth it or not. It has a lot of small problems that will likely become bigger as time progresses. I was also involved in a wreck that totaled my previous car. While I am fine, this is setting me back financially as the old car was completely paid off. Professionally my job hit a rough patch this year but things seem to have smoothed out for the time being and I am hoping for a raise soon.
As always, I thank my audience for their continued support. I appreciate every commission and trade I get. I know stories aren't everyone's cup of tea but I do my best to do the best I can. I hope that everyone is enjoying the holidays and weekend. I just got back from my short snowboarding trip and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was nice to get off work for a few days but the grind will resume on Monday. As for my plans on 2025, the biggest thing I have planned is a trip that I am still working out the details of. I'd also like to focus more on spending a little more time doing things for myself rather than worrying about work. Time will tell if I can pull that off or not with my job situation.
In 2024, I feel like I was a little less productive than the year before when it came to writing. I was able to finish the canon story involving Pent and Xavier. It was nice to see something to completion that was a passion project for me for a while. I also picked back up the Pokemon stories but am still struggling with the question of where I want to go with them. I hope everyone is looking forward to the upcoming holidays. I, for one, will be taking advantage and heading to the ski resort for a bit of fun. For those who don't know, I am an avid snowboarder so I like to take advantage when I can. I will likely be unable to respond during the week of Christmas due to this. It is difficult to say since the resort's wifi has been spotty in the past. I will likely make one final journal update before the end of the year with my annual retrospective so I hope you look forward to it.
In terms of writing, I made very little progress this week. It has been harder to motivate myself to do the Pokemon cannon. I'm not sure if it's because I'm burnt out, disinterested, or just unmotivated in general. So it will likely be slow going until I get back more into it. I am also curious, would people be interested in seeing a Chespin form of Xavier in that story? A poll has been posted below. All of my pending stories have now been posted and there is nothing on my queue other than personal projects.

I hope everyone is getting ready for the holidays. My job continues to grind along and I've been given some different responsibilities now. I haven't gotten a raise recently but I am expecting one in a month or two. I will definitely need it considering they are raising my fees where I live for the coming year. I am still unsure if I will remain at the condo as it's going to need a lot of work. I need to figure out one big project for next year: replacing the appliances or renovating the bathroom. It probably won't be all at once but I'll figure it out when I have money to do one or the other.
In terms of writing, things were much slower this week. I finished my last project. I have two gifts to give out before they can be posted. I have nothing on my plate right now other than the personal Pokemon cannon project. That will likely be a lot slower since I don't have a definitive plan of what I want to do with it. There is also the question of if I want to include Xavier in it. I had thoughts of making his Pokemon form a Chespin but...I don't have any ideas for a unique take on it. I also don't want to invest in more alternative art for him when he doesn't have that much to start with.
