I hope everyone is well and is enjoying the weekend. Things have been getting pretty crazy for me. I am under contract for a condo and it is a lot more involved than I expected. At this point, I can still get out of the contract but there is still a lot that needs to be done and that I need to figure out. The only negative is that I would have to replace the heating and air out of pocket because as it stands right now, it doesn't work and likely needs to be replaced. Though I haven't seen anything better pop up so I will likely go through with it unless something else pops up.
In terms of writing, I haven't gotten a lot done. I still have plans to write the one-off of Pent and Samaliel but that is slow going. It didn't seem like anyone was interested in my promotion for March so I'm not sure I'll do it again for May. Is there some other way people would like to see me doing promotional events in the future? I've run out of ideas and I feel like what I'm doing isn't working. Anyways thanks everyone for your support and have a nice day.

I hope everyone is well and that things are going good for people. Things have sort of hit a wall for me and I am trying to figure out how to navigate it. It's nothing serious but a minor hitch to my original plan. That plus dealing with a small medical issue that I am getting treated for next week. Though, it could always be worse and so for that I am grateful.
In terms of writing, I started a one-off for something involving Pent and Samaliel. It may go into more detail then one chapter but I haven't decided yet. Other than that I finished one story, which I posted today.

Completion of another story line

I hope everyone is doing well and that the year is going just as one would hope. For myself, I have focused on the possibility of buying a condo. Interest rates my prevent me from doing it, but I have about 2.5 months before I need to figure out what I am doing in that regard. Workwise I am still working the same schedule with very little downtime. Still, I plan on taking a vacation eventually. I just don't know when or where yet.
In terms of writing, I think I have completed the storyline for Miraj. I was going to him traveling to the Far East, but I don't think it fit what I wanted from it. So for now, it has ended at least until I figure out if I want to continue it. Though....going forward, I don't know what I want to work on. I have a few ideas in my head none of which are fleshed out. So I have put the pairings in a poll below to see what people would be interested in. The poll will remain open til next Saturday at 11:59 PM MST.

An inquiry

I hope everyone is well and that everyone's week was uneventful. For myself, the prospect of moving became much more real. It hasn't been set in stone yet but it does look like that's the case. I just don't know when and the issue of my lease and extending it by short terms would pose to be an issue if it went beyond June. Needless to say, the monotony of life continues to chug along with me as time goes on and I get older. One thing I'd like to plan this year is a vacation...it's been a while since I've had one and I could use some time away. I just don't know what I want to do but maybe this summer I will try to do something.
In regards to writing, I made a bit of progress on the Miraj cannon. Nothing to post yet but if things go well I will probably post it next week or shortly thereafter. However, I'm trying to figure out what I need to do differently. In a nutshell, commissions have dried up for me. Unsure of what to write next

I hope everyone is well and that the beginning of the year is going as well as one hoped it would. We are already halfway through the month. Time flies when you get older and you only realize that as it goes on. I think have a plan of what I want and need to do professionally. I will likely be moving again in June but it's all in hopes of finding a job that better suits me. Here's hoping this will be the next to last time...though I'm still not sure if I will ever truly settle down. Still...things could be worse so I'm happy I can still support myself, even if I still have to work two jobs and every day of the week.
In terms of writing, things have been a bit slower. I did finish a story but it was nothing long. I want to work on finishing Hailun but I'm thinking I need to take him out of the whole "Arabian" setting so I can get some variety. I have some ideas for some east Asian stories but is there anything people would like to see in my low fantasy cannon? I also decided I am not going to do the drive or the macro/micro bit between Pent and Xavier since people didn't seem interested in it.

Upcoming Drive Question & Commissions

I hope everyone had a good New Year. The grind has begun anew and I'm sure some of you had made resolutions. My own is job-related...I really just need to decide what I'm doing with this job and if I'm going to wait it out until my lease expires. However, it no longer looks like me buying a condo is as realistic simply because of this. Instead, I will likely be moving again. Time will tell if that's the case but that's where I believe I am right now.
In regards to writing....I have decided to try and see the Miraj story to a conclusion. I have no clear-cut direction on it but I do have some ideas. All I know is I need to write something so I don't fall into a funk or get out of it. I don't know how fast it will be but at least I have some sort of plan now. It will the first story I've written that I'm not really sure what I want from.

2023 in review

I hope everyone had a nice holiday season, regardless of if they celebrated something or not. With 2024 merely days away now I thought it would be keen to do something I did last year and that is look back at 2023 for myself. For those curious, I will be messaging the raffle winner here shortly but yes it is pulled and the winner will have 48 hours to claim or pass it on to someone else.
For writing, this year was probably one of the most productive in recent memory. It was probably the first time I wrote more for myself than other people. I finished two story sagas which was something I haven't done in a while. Arthur was replaced by Xavier as Pent's love interest and I didn't write nearly as much NSFW as I used to, which was nice. However, trades and commissions remain slow as ever but I guess that shouldn't matter as much as I think it does.
Personally, I have been working a lot more than I would like. My hopes for next year is to buy a condo but whether that works out or not, time will tell. Work continues to grind a long but I've been thinking about changing jobs again. I am not sure what to do simply because it pays the bills but sometimes that's not enough. I need to keep on working to improve myself professionally as well as personally so I hope to continue to grow in that regard.
As always, I thank my audience for their continued support. I appreciate every commission and trade I get. I know stories arent' everyone's cup of tea but I do my best to do the best I can. I had to get some minor surgery this week for an issue I don't want to discuss publicly. Likely last story for a while

I hope everyone is well and staying warm for the late fall season. Things have been going for me as normal as of late. The usual ups and downs of life that come with getting older. I am still trying to decide if I want to commit to a condo next year or not. Interest rates and housing here are kind of nuts right now. I may have to talk to someone about my financial situation and decide what I'm doing about the job. But for now, everything is more or less status quo for me.

So...I recently made a subscribestar in hopes people would like the benefits of what it was offering. Truthfully it was probably a bad idea. No one took advantage of it except a friend. As such....despite the work I put into it and the discord, I am thinking about deleting it. I am unsure what I could have done to make it more attractive. But I don't think I have the audience or the appeal to make it worth it. As always I remain open to commissions so hit me up if you are interested.

Short term planning

It's been a few weeks. I haven't posted much in terms of journals because I haven't felt the need to. Work has been a bit overwhelming but I've still managed to maintain my personal life. As such...recently I submitted another thesis in an attempt to get another PhD. My hopes are that it will lead to a better job than I have right now. I've already been offered something but I'm not sure when I should take the job as I am planning on moving again next year in an attempt to get settled. So for right now...I am waiting to see what happens, though I may accept the job on a short term basis.
For stories...I've been making a fair amount of progress. I now have a definitive ending in mind for Hailun and Kennen. I have one story to post for them but after that, there will be only one more submission for that story arc. That being said...I'm not sure what I want to write after that. Sometimes I feel like I write for nothing. It has been very underwhelming for me this year. Even still...I have no plans to stop. So...what would people like to see? Let me know in the comments below.

My field is always in demand but it doesn't change the fact I like stability and to know what to expect. So I am looking into alternate jobs in case they do lay me off. I doubt it considering how many clients I have but time will tell if that is the case or not.

I hope everyone is well. The last two weeks have been a bit of up and down. However, such is the way of life and I've learned that one must move on no matter the circumstance. That being said, I continue the grind of having 2 jobs on top of trying to maintain some sort of presence in the furry community. I am hoping that in the end all of this effort pays off in the end and that I can finally settle down somewhere.
In terms of writing, I made a fair bit of progress recently. I finished a commission and officially wrapped up the Pent and Xavier story. In a nutshell, what this means is that there will no further cannon development of their tale. I will likely do spinoffs but I think I need to work on something else. I hope everyone's week was well. Mine was alright besides being the usual amount of busy. Even still, I managed to have some free time which was nice. Work is chugging along and I'm still managing the 7 day grind. Time will tell if I can keep it up or if I'll cave to my own fatigue at some point. Still...I will be working on a long-term plan in due time. For now...it just remains to work until I save enough to put a down payment on a condo or something similar.

I hope everyone is well. This week has been rather busy. My job had me move locations so things were a bit frantic with that all going on. Now that it is done and over with things have settled down a bit. I also returned to my old therapist so things are going better regarding that. Lastly, I had a bit of a scare with my computer but that seems to be resolved...at least for now.
Regarding my stories, things have been getting back on track regarding my own stuff and other works. I finished the only work I've gotten in a while and that's what I posted today. That being said...the Pent and Xavier saga will be winding down soon. I've already begun work on what will be the final chapter. As I said last time I have begun the transition to Mastodon. Regarding Twitter and a new promotion

I hope everyone is well. This week was something of a mixed bag for me. Some up's...some downs. So more or less life as usual, I suppose. You can't always expect one or the other. That's what makes it exciting sometimes...You never know what it will throw at you. Still, work has been churning on and I may be changing up my secondary job soon. Time will tell if that's the case but I am still looking for a replacement for my secondary source of income. Also...I will no longer be taking a trip or going on a vacation anytime soon. Things have changed in that regard so I'd like to do that...eventually.
Writing has been going a bit slower than usual. I've been involved in some personal stuff but none of it is bad. In fact, it's quite the contrary for the most part. Still, I've made some progress and continue to come up with more ideas for my cannon. That being said I will be running a new promotion for the remainder of the month. A bit of anxiety about Denfur

I hope everyone had a good week. This week....has been a good one for me. Work was plenty productive with more to do than I could keep up with. It will likely roll into next week and I'm expecting to be just as busy. Though that's fine as it's work and that's how things go, unfortunately. At the very least it makes the week go faster.
This last week has been the best week in recent memory though. I made a new friend and we hit things off so that's been nice. I haven't written as much this week but progress is still being made. I also have put the macro/micro bit on hold until I can find a better setting for it. I will likely just make the side story as I don't want it to be cannon. Still...Pent and Xavier will continue on as normal.
In regard to my upcoming travel, I've been debating if I should go to Denfur or not. It's been giving me a lot of anxiety. I don't know anyone going....and I'm not very good socially. So I'm a bit worried that I'll just shut down entirely like I usually do. So unless I can find someone to hang out with, I probably won't go.

10 Years of Fluff & Denfur

I hope everyone had a good week. Mine was busy again but I expected as much going into it. As such I was more or less prepared for it. That being said, I will likely be taking the first "vacation" I've had in what seems like years. My work is sending me to Colorado the same week that Denfur is occurring. So I will be going to that this year assuming everything goes as planned. So let me know if your going as well.
As far as writing goes, my 10th-year anniversary of writing furry fiction was this past week. It's kind of hard to believe that I've been doing it for so long. Heck, if Pent actually aged he'd be in his early 20s now, but that won't happen as I rather enjoy being a kidfur. For progress this week, I mostly wrote trades though I still have a few chapters of Pent & Xavier to post. Though I've sort of been on the fence of wether I want to go through with the Micro/Macro bit for them.

For now, I am enjoying it so I will continue it until I run out of ideas or get bored with it.

Working two jobs has been tiresome with my usual chores but I have made do so far. Needless to say, even despite all of the stuff I have going on I continue to make progress on the Pent and Xavier saga. Additionally, I saved enough to buy Xavier a reference so now everyone will know what he looks like. I hope everyone is well. I had a pretty rough week, the details of which I don't really want to share. I have been working two jobs for a while so I might be able to afford a condo. It's rather exhausting to work 7 days a week but I will push through as it could always be worse. The prospect of a vacation doesn't seem very likely this year though but I am planning on going to a convention in a few months. Those are pretty hit-and-miss for me but it will be nice to get out of the house even if they make me somewhat uncomfortable.

First I would like to wish all of my fellow Canadians, a Happy Canada Day. I hope it is fun and filled with joy for those of you who celebrate. I do not have anything planned so I don't think I will do anything special. Another week has passed and with it, I have put more pen to paper and continued to write a few different things...so time for a bit of an update.
For Pent and Xavier, there are about two chapters that need to be edited. I am also throwing the idea around of doing a Samaliel-focused story. I have also published the result of the drive and have the reward story to publish tomorrow. For next week I will continue to push out one other story, assuming the person I asked actually wants to trade. That being said, I am looking forward to continuing the Pent and Xavier bit and am also working on a micro/macro idea for them in the future.

First I would like to wish all of my fellow Canadians, a Happy Canada Day. I hope it is fun and filled with joy for those of you who celebrate. I do not have anything planned so I don't think I will do anything special. Another week has passed and with it, I have put more pen to paper and continued to write a few different things...so time for a bit of an update.
For Pent and Xavier, there are about two chapters that need to be edited. I am also throwing the idea around of doing a Samaliel-focused story. I have also published the result of the drive and have the reward story to publish tomorrow. For next week I will continue to push out one other story, assuming the person I asked actually wants to trade. That being said, I am looking forward to continuing the Pent and Xavier bit and am also working on a micro/macro idea for them in the future.
