Hello errebody!

Anthrocon is comin' up fast, and I have a couple of shows that I'll be a part of there.

The BIG one is the #Hashtag album premier show.
We're playing through the entire album, which means about an hour of never-before-performed-or-probably-even-HEARD music from me and Fox Amoore. If you don't know him, google a bit and be impressed.

SHOW is FRIDAY at 3pm in the main ballroom and it is a FULL BAND show. Runtt (drums with Matthew Ebel) will be there, Rhubarb and Cosmik (2 amazing musicians from Orlando) and of course me and Fox Amoore to fill the thing out.

I know I say stuff like "This show is really important" a lot, but this is a rediculous opportunity to earn some respect from the biggest furcon in the world. If you don't like what kind of programming gets the most people in the door, GO to the programming you like. Maybe our concert. I dunno, I'm just a guy. If we can FILL this friggin room, we can make it a lot easier for other furry musicians to get booked at cons.

In late May I'm going to be in Australia (probably)

My contact in AU is currently getting a green card in the US and due to legal things he MIGHT not be able to leave the US at that time.

I don't know why but I have a really hard time getting booked and after months of no response from venues, I've pretty much given up.

So the show had over 200 people.
The 11AM on a frickin Sunday show had the biggest turnout I've ever had.
That is unbelievable. I am so grateful to this fandom and every single person who has supported me.

The reason I'm making this journal is because I want that attendance figure to mean something.
AC staff will not know that we succeeded unless we tell them.

So holy eff. I started out this year PRAYING for a timeslot at AC. Since then I've become involved in 5 different shows.

Friday:

2pm in the Ballroom - Schrodinger's Cat - In this show I'm playing backup guitar for Amadhia aka  Dreamsong It's a furry rock show with a full band. There will be original music, covers, old favorites, and hopefully something for everyone.



4pm in the ballroom - Fox Amoore LIVE! - I'll be playing backup guitar adn singing in this one as well. Fox, me, and a few other musicians will be playing songs we've written. I hardly deserve to be on stage with some of these people. Come out and see what I'm talking about.



8:30pm in the ballroom - Banthro - This concept is kinda cool.  foxamoore had an idea. There are a bunch of musicians in the fandom, but we all live really far apart. He's started gathering people together at conventions for these friggin, WEIRD yet epic performances. We rehearse for like... half a minute then just run on stage and see what happens. It's really REALLY cool and you should totally be there. It'll be original music from Fox, Alexander James Adams (who'll be there), myself, Rhubarb the bear, this guy  ianmj91 will be drumming (FRIGGIN REDICULOUS). Does it seem like I'm gushing? I totally am.

2pm in the Westin Pennsylvania room - I'll be a guest on Radio Unifurse. I'm not really doing any MUSIC there, but if you like to hear me talk, I'll be doing that!




Saturday:
4pm in the ballroom - Matthew Ebel - This one I'm not ... officially involved in <_< but like... I'll be on stage for a song. Don't tell anyone I told you! If you haven't seen MATT before, get to this show. It's really good. All original stuff in a cohesive... CONCERT type show. It's not just a bunch of idiots dickin around like MY show's gonna be. It has a story, graphics, interactive elements, phew. It's a good show.



11pm DLCC 319 - Jazz set brought to you by Fox Amoore and Amadhia - This one Im... I THINK I'm in this? I'll probably do a song or two. If you're a fan of jazz, these guys are pretty good. It'll be a legit set. Heck, if you show up with a horn, you could probably join.



SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY - You pay for the whole seat but you'll need... the whole thing cause you'll be tired.
11AM in the ballroom - Peppercoyote destroys the Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom. This is the show I want, no, NEED you to come to. I know it's early but hey, my parents wil be there and I want to show them why I'm a part of this fandom. The support and love I get from my fellow furs is downright inspiring and I want them to see that live and up close. If you haven't heard my music before, this would be a great place to do it. There will be special guests, a surprise or two, and maybe even some tears. If you're in the room on Sunday, thank you.



OTHER shows you should see (stuff I'm NOT in)
Friday 3pm DLCC Room 319 - Bucktown tiger - If you have never seen this guy perform, you gotta. He plays piano in a tiger suit. He raps, he tells stories, and overall is just extremely entertaining. I love this guy and I hope you'll go see his set.

Friday 5pm DLCC Room 407 - Niic the singing dog - Niic is kind of unique in the fandom right now. He does high energy electronic music, and sings with it, in fursuit. I still haven't gotten to see him live due to scheduling, but I hope you guys support him. He's relatively new and I want to see him get off the ground.

Sunday at 3:30 in DLCC 407 - Rhubarb and Cosmik: The songs you hate. - THIS show... this friggin show. This is the show I wish I had the ability to do. They literally MAKE IT UP as they go along. Rhubarb does the whole thing in a bear suit. He sings, plays guitar, and makes jokes while Cosmik backs him up on keyboard. It's really a sight to behold from a very underrated duo.


Obviously the one I'm promoting the hardest is MY show (Sunday 11am ballroom) but ALL of these are going to be not only fun, but like... there are good musicians in the fandom. Come out and let Anthrocon know that you not only support live music, but want it at your con.
Asses in seats make changes happen. I could sing my head off. Be the best singer in the whole friggin world, but if nobody comes to the show, nobody cares. Come make this con special for these talented performers.

I have a MAIN STAGE show at Anthrocon again this year.
I'll be in the "Spirit of Pittsburgh" ballroom on Sunday at 11am sharp, playing a really kick-ass show.
It'll have special guests, jokes, tears, and everything else you might expect from me.
The problem here is obviously, the time slot. It's really early for some of you, but here's the trick:
If I get say... 200 people in that room to see my show, it will be VERY hard for the con to give me that time slot again.
Bring a friend, help fill the room as much as you can, and next year I'll get a slot closer to prime-time.

It seems like I'm nearing a tipping point with my music; like I'm really close to finding something good.
I'm getting a few people out to the shows now, and like... we could make this into something really special.
