Open for a pony request or two.
General | Posted 13 years agoI'm all caught up on my duties, and without a next project in line. So, I'm willing to take on a MLP themed request or two. I reserve the right to decline anything I'm not comfortable with though.
So. Feel free to ask. First come first serve.

Welp.
General | Posted 13 years agoMy last journal was posted over four years ago, and I'm getting tired of looking at the list of, "things I won't draw." So I figure I'm a bit overdue for an update.
I'm starting to get into art again. Slowly. I'm pacing myself this time, dipping just my toes at first, so as not to become overwhelmed or frightened. It's fun and challenging, but I'm revisiting all the old frustrations and obstacles from before. I still can't draw to save my life, and it pains me to try. But I'm working at it. And maybe it will come to me one day.
I probably won't be doing any furry art though. I've been bit pretty hard by the pony bug, and I haven't bothered to look back yet. I'm not sure how much clop I'll be doing either (apologies to those that watched me for yiff.) But there should be some animations or relatively clean (albeit likely bloody) pony art within my near future.

Requests
General | Posted 17 years agoI have no idea if anyone reads my journals, but I'm opening up for another round of requests, and decided to post here instead of the forums. I'll take the first two to respond. It might end up being a rough sketch, or it might end up as a full color/shaded image with background. These can be clean or yiffy, but I have some slight restrictions on content:
Stuff I won't draw:
Scat (all), diapers (all), taurs (all), herms (yiff), feral (yiff).
Anything else is fair game. If nobody responds, I'll just quietly delete this journal and post my offer on the forums again.

Character Guidelines
General | Posted 17 years agoI'm particularly interested in art trades at the moment (*hint hint, nudge nudge, ohgawdpleasedoanarttradewithme*), and figured I'd centralize some guidelines for my characters in this journal. These are not steadfast rules, and it is alright to break them. I'd just consider deviations of the guidelines to be out of character.
All:
- Clean/clothed images of all characters is acceptable and encouraged.
- Take place in an urban/domestic setting, if there is any background art.
- No: vore, scat, diapers, inflation, or uber-fat.
Clarice:
- Refference -- http://www.furaffinity.net/view/494193/
- Only has sexual relations with Melvin.
- Should never be seen naked by another character. (Clothed, or character is blind folded.)
Melvin:
- Refference -- http://www.furaffinity.net/view/465995/
- Preferred to have sex with Clarice, but willing with other females as well.
- If with another male, should not be enjoying it. Should only be a depiction of rape.
- May be depicted in humiliation, rape, torture, or even snuff.
- He is technophobic, seen with a type-writer or ham radio instead of a computer or video game.
Ruth:
- Refference -- http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1775245/
- Preferred to be in clean images, though solo nude is acceptable.
- May never be seen with Clarice.
- May only be seen with a young Melvin (Age 10 and under.)
Peppermint Roo:
- Refference -- http://www.furaffinity.net/view/473290/
- Just about anything goes, though I'd prefer images to not be disrespectful.

GNU is Not Unix
General | Posted 18 years agoThe inevitable happened... I finally installed linux on my desktop (Ubuntu to be precise.) It's been my main operating system for a couple months now, but I always had XP on my (lesser-used) gaming/art box. Well, I'm completely Windows-free now. I've got an emergency partition of xp, but it's for just that -- emergencies.
There's just one problem... for the past four years, all of my art has been inside of Macromedia (now Adobe) Flash. And Flash is not natively supported on any linux platform. I could bite the bullet, and probably get it working through WINE (shows up in wine-doors at least,) but I'm trying to limit my dependency on emulation. So... this will probably result in a significant change in my art style. I'm going to look into Incscape, and see what sort of havoc I can wreak with it.
P.S.
In before: "Wine Is Not Emulation."

Upcoming Events
General | Posted 19 years agoA lot of things are going on right now; it's really one of those times when everything seems to be blazing past me, and I have to struggle so vigorously just to hold place. But it's... exciting, and often times quite fun. In the concluding moments of my undergraduate education, I feel as though my limits are being tested, and I'm getting a better idea of the boundaries between what I can and can't do.
Why do I bring this up? (As an excuse for when I have bouts of inactivity of course! ...No, I kid... mostly.) As a part of this active trend, I'm trying to put a greater emphasis on my artistic involvement in the furry community. I've been working on http://www.euphoricbunny.com/test/ , building it out of XHTML, AJAX, CSS, and PHP, and getting it as close to W3C standards compliance as I can. (Please pardon how terribly sketchy it is at the moment; it's still heavily in a testing stage/environment. Most of the work on it is also stored on my laptop at the moment, so this is an outdated view.) But once I have it up and running, I plan on opening up for commissions for the first time. I'm not sure exactly on all the details, but I'll be very reasonable/moderate in what I charge. I want to do this for the experience, rather than for profit. Commissions would include digital inks, full color pieces, and/or flash paper dolls.
If anyone's interested in advance (and actually took the time to read this,) drop me a line at dekart_roo[at]yahoo[dot]com.
