Hey soooo… my dad passed away in a motorcycle accident on September 12th.

I apologize to commissioners for the delay in art and radio silence, I’m drowning in this process and honestly I haven’t even had a second to grieve between phone calls, emails, and driving two hours to where he lived. Everything’s been left to me to deal with and let me tell you he was not prepared to die, so it’s a big mess and I’m too broke for a lawyer to help.

I promise to chip away at as much as I can in the in between, but I know arts been delayed longer than usual and that’s not fun for anyone who’s been waiting patiently.

Howdy folks, Its rolling into autumn here in Canada and that means its usually Autumn / Halloween adopts time which rolls into christmas BUT Im not sure if i should do adopt this year, do another kinktober, or do YCH's??

In last years batch of autumn / Halloween adopts 1/12 sold :') WHICH IS PERFECTLY OKAY but i wont lie in all honestly its discouraging to say the least.

That also being said adopts arent selling like they used to but i do them because i genuinely enjoy it and i look forward every year to my fall / Halloween / Christmas adopts i put out, so ill probably continue for the love of it because i really do love them BUT this is a business so i would like to see them go to great homes too.



KINKTOBER 2024 was a hit i think?? even if only 7/30 kinks were claimed xD

and i havent done YCH's in a while?? They'd be flat rate and probably first come first serve like most of my YCH's but thats never an issue cause they dont always get claimed to begin with so im not worried about demand lol



SOMETHING TO CONSIDER: i was also thinking of maybe some themed things around the October - December holidays/seasons that arent as on the nose maybe? like back to school, football or hockey themed, apple picking shenanigans, snowman building, etc.

Im also announcing my little pet project 'REMAKE: Adopts from days past.'
(spoiler there's already one remade 'good boy' waiting to go home with someone in the adopt shop!!)

Essentially im going to cherry pick adopts for commission warmups that are at least 5+ years old and do a redraw ref/sale page for them. This wont be all of them, just the ones i feel like and the redraw wont effect the prices of the adopts. No matter how old, they'll still be the price they were when i posted them.

Thank y'all for the well wishes as i recover. Im here to update that aside from a slight hiccup im doing really well post surgery!!

Delays in commissions are due to said hiccup... and then i got the most aggressive flu. And that flu? well it gave me fxcking pink eye. and that Pink eye? well it just couldnt help but share so i had it in both eyes.

and trying to live with post surgery healing, the flu, and pink eye in both eyes all while living alone? it has not been a very nice time.

BUT id say im 85% on the mend now and my eyes are mostly feeling better SO WERE BACK IN BUSISNESS.

Im sincerely sorry for those waiting, i promise you im not ghosting and a value y'alls patience to a gigantic degree.

Gonna do my best to eas my way back into things but please know my ass is back at my desk and im doing my very best!!

Anyone who's bought an adopt from me knows that they get customized private parts if the posted ref is sfw or doesnt have them already; but that means i have tons of customized examples of said diddly bits that no ones sees because they go directly to the buyers.

Now i dont wanna repost the adopts when theyre sold because that just feels congestive??? but they're also examples of all the possibilities of things you can have created... and honestly some of my best work lmfao. I could repost the adopts i suppose, but my gallery is already so full of adopts and references?? and sometimes people get 3 or 4 versions of their adopt refs.

I thought maybe toyhouse would be a good option but i cant for the life of me get an invite code, plus idk the nsfw access to people who *dont* have their own toyhouse account. (i loathe invite only sites and if anyone has an invite i will literally draw you a free headshot i swear to god).

I used to use imgur but thats a bust now, and you cant organize your scraps or id make a scraps folder to keep the scraps organized but also keep them out of my main gallery. I dont do dropbox and i dont fxck with deviant art since the ai thing so those are a no go.

i reaaally dont wanna make another account because i struggle to manage the 7000 sites already but maybe thats a better option? and then link to the adopts account?

This 100% pure bred good boy is officially been neutered. (being spayed doesn’t sound as fun). Nothing but the fun parts left 😎

Surgery went well, post op went well aside from a few hiccups but I was still able to get home the same day (surgery was in the morning and got home by 11pm, would have been home at like 5pm but this dog couldn’t keep food down and I sure as hell made a mess the one time I tried to eat LMFAOOO.)

BUT I’m home and recovering really well. Hopefully I’ll be able to sit in my computer chair comfortably soon so I can get back to commissions.

‼️QUESTION FOR artists who make adopts (or ppl who buy adopts):

EDIT/NOTE: I will always make my adopts with both options, sfw and nsfw for their references. Adopts have a sfw and customizable nsfw and i promise they always will. This question is more for any art made outside the references.

I have so many adopts i wanna draw outside of their references but im a nsfw artist with mostly nsfw ideas and idk if buyers are nsfw until purchase since adopts come with both sfw/nsfw.

Would it deter ppl from buying because its extra art that’s nsfw and simply exists?

MY TAKE IS that as the all father of these babies it *could* be okay? BUT i worry it could be seen as projecting my ideas (personality, sexuality, preference, etc) onto buyers fantasies?

This also feels more applicable to male then female adopts since female bodies (ex. Breasts) are up front in the sfw anyways.

Would it matter since as of right now it would all be free art I make for the hell of it and doesn’t effect the sale price?

I also think it maaaaaybe it could be a good way to showcase adopts/get attention outside of just their references? 👀

ALSO do outfits on the references do the same thing? are they better with out the fit or does it matter?

I’m looking to get ahead of my annual seasonal adopts I do for the seasons.

So that means our Autumn/Fall/Halloween and my Winter/Christmas sets of adopts!!

Now it’s too soon for Christmas BUT I’ve been eyeballing my Autumn/ Halloween adopts.

Do we like more cute adopts or ones that lean a bit more into the horror or a nice balance?

And I’ve been doing some full adopt sheets, these are more expensive of course, but would you prefer those over the simple back/front ones I usually do??

I really want to do things that people are gonna want to adopt and take home and enjoy!!

I want to do something different and unique like I try my best to ever year and this year here are a few of my ideas most are simply classics:

- Cute scarecrow? Or creepy scarecrow?
- Something witchy?
- Creature from the black lagoooooon
- A skeleton of sorts
- a cute county fair vibe?
- Cracked/Creepy doll vibe? Or cute doll?
- Demon? We love a good demon
- Cerberus or two headed?
- CUTE SPIDER????
- clown? Jester? Carnival?
(I could expand into popcorn, candy apples, cotton candy themes??)
- maybe a vampire or some herbivore turned carnivore?
- a simple bat or werewolf thrown in the mix?

Im always trying to do new things and create variety, especially in adopts. There's a kaleidoscope of opportunities for species along side the tried and true.
NOW that's not to say you wont see your fav's, your canines, felines, equines, dragons, etc. because that's what i'm best at but I just like to throw in some unique species too so...

Drop a SPECIES you'd like to see more in adopts!

Some of the one's im dancing around are:
- Dinosaurs and not just your carnivores we need some plan eater love too.
- Anteaters, Armadillos, Sloths, Aardvark, etc.
- Alpacas, Llamas, Camels, etc.
- Big Babes like Hippos and Elephants
- PIGGIES
- Birds like pigeons, parrots, along side Raptors and Corvids like falcons, crows, eagles, ravens, owls.
- Maybe aquatics?? i dont do enough aquatics i really dont

THIS BEING SAID if y'all are like we really want a batch of wolves, we really want some tried and true LET ME KNOW THAT TOO!!

Another question:
Do y'all like simple adopts with no bells and whistles?
or do you enjoy little things that enhance personality or tell a bit of story?

I know my designs can get a bit more on the 'complicated' side and although i think theyre really beautiful y'all may want something simple and to the point.

THE BAD NEWS I’m sick again. I wish I was joking, I’m just as frustrated as y’all are. I began to panic Sunday when I felt the same sore throat I had before and by yesterday I was a snot ball. Got a nasty flu last month was just starting to feel like I had kicked it. I EVEN BOOKED MY FLU SHOT and here I am like two weeks later with ANOTHER and had to cancel it. Yes I’ve had a cry about it.

THE GOOD NEWS is it’s not COVID, 🥳 and I have tests I stashed away from the doctor this time to make sure. Other good news is I’m not taking expired cold meds this time and so far it hasn’t felt as nasty as the last one even tho it’s day two? Though I’m only in the 1-3 day phase.

SO I’m going to do my best in my medicated hours to keep chugging along because I know I’m so so so behind. I’ve been dancing on the boundary of a low grade fever but so long as I am physically able I’m gonna try to catch up from the back log from the first time. I started a fry cough and it’s a hard one but so long as it’s just an inconvenient cough I’m gonna work.

I apologize sincerely to those who have waited so patiently. The second I’m not couch bound I’m getting that dang flu shot.

I have caught something nasty. I dunno if its covid (ive managed to escape it thus far), or just a cold/flu but its knocked me completely on my ass. Todays day three or four? and I'm starting to feel a bit better today which is the upside!!

I went from ear/nose/throat soreness with jacked up sinus's that make everything sound like im in a movie sound effect of an alien spaceship, to a borderline fever coming and going and muscle/bone aches, to yesterday where i developed a dry cough in my throat / heart area and couldn't get a word out without coughing and today its a wet cough but its breaking up which is good!! except i have to hold my head every time i cough or i swear my brains gonna confetti out my cranium cause my sinuses are so stopped up.

I can see the progression which seems to be getting better not worse and i think if we all cross our fingers can be good enough to sit at my desk to start chipping away again with a rhythm by early next week. I cant buy medicine until Monday and unfortunately the meds ive got are expired so were just raw dogging this.

Im so so so sorry for this delay, i know no one plans to get sick but trust me when i say this is SUPER frustrating. As soon as my body allows me i will be right back to work getting y'all your artwork!!
