Live stream? and go watch my new account!
Posted 12 years agoI figured lots of people do this live streaming business! Would any of you be interested in watching? I would start around 9 pm Est and go until... I'm finished I suppose
I have two fursuit heads that need to be worked on and *crosses fingers toes eyes arms legs and every other thing you can imagine that can be crossed* will hopefully be finished by Furfright at the end of this month.
Yes no maybe so? I've never done anything like this.
Also please go watch me on my
Risen-costumes account! I've been posting items for fursuit building that you won't see on this regular account anymore!
Lots of love!

New Fursuit making account!
Posted 12 years agoHey everyone!
As most of you know I do my best in dabbles at making fursuits and what not. I've recently been showing lots of improvement and I think I'm starting to get more comfortable with my own work and experience. I'm at the point where I'm going to seriously start considering making fursuits for commission work.
So.. to kick it all off I've created a new account with the brand name I've already created for myself on Second life and elsewhere. Please everyone! go on over to:
Risen-Costumes
and give me a watch! Comment on my stff because that really helps fuel my passion and desires to keep on getting better! Who knows! Maybe one day you yourself will own a Risen costume! *giggles*
I'm going to be migrating all my photos of fursuit stuff over to that account and will be deleting them here.. Phoenixash will be used as my personal artist account and will serve as a dumping ground for my own art as well as commission work from others. Please please please spread word!
I love you all <3

Someone please kick me in the rear....
Posted 12 years agoSo.. I realized.. I never made the Anthrocon Journal part 2. By now I feel it's rather irrelevant. I hung out with friends, watched the dance competition and the 2 and Kage charity show. both of which were just amazing and loads of fun and entertainment!
Sorry about not posting a more detailed one. Work has just been hella crazy!
Ummm updates .. I suppose
My birthday is the 25th of this month! Huzzah! I'm looking forward to it!
It's Shark week! I've got my lusty shark icon up again this year! Sadly I won't be able to enjoy the programming for shark week because I don't have any cable. However.. I can still enjoy the fun and the idea of it all.
Furfright 2013
Yes i will be there. Yes I will likely be pulling my fur out and likely exhausted. I have two, possibly three fursuits to finish before the convention and I don't have much time of from work to do them in. I'm determined to get them done though! I need to really work on reaching towards my goal of opening for commissions and such. That would be the dream right there.
I will be uploading ref sheets shortly for the two suits that I will be making. I just need to get my ass into gear about finishing them and uploading them. So.. please kick me in the ass to do so. I could use some encouragement from everyone!

Anthrocon Recap 2013 Thursday and Friday
Posted 12 years agoSo.. it's about time I posted one of these. It's only been a few weeks now since the con has been over.
Let's just say Anthrocon was a blast this year! I actually was functioning! I did not come home with con crud nor was I patient zero for con crud like I was last year. And just because of that fact I think at AC was at least 20% cooler this year.
Thursday:
hunterevergreen and I arrived at the con around 2 pm if I recall and met up with
nekokaori,
raishi and
psydraggy. They had all arrived a few days before us but HUnter and I were transporting fursuits and the cardboard cars that Kaori and I built for the parade and to drive around in. After all the theme of AC was "The Fast and The Furious"
After settling in and grabbing a quick snack I ran down to the registration line (because someone.. *cough* me *cough* had forgotten to preregister.... and that sucked Lusty balls.. and Lusty doesn't even have balls.. so... it really sucked) However while heading to line I met up with
Masterkeiichi whom I had known from Second Life. We chatted normally on skype but this was even better! Real Life Baby! Oooh yeah! Needless to say it was fantastic getting to know Keiichi and he was kind enough to stand in line with me. After Hunter picked up his fancy preregistered badge he joined us. i owe it to both of them for standing in line with me nearly two hours so I could punch my information into a computer that took all of 30 seconds. You have no idea how frustrating that was.
Anyway.. we had a bit of entertainment while standing in line for all three of us procured one of those fancy schmancy Anthrocon surveys we all know and love. And gawd damn it we all wanted that rainbow pawprint ribbon to put on our badges. And for that survey.. I have no words... If anyone has taken the time to fill them out, you know how painfully long it is and how ridiculous some of the questions are. It provided many a topic of conversation and an inside joke amongst the three of us which I'm sure will be long running. I hope Keiichi is ok with shifting after hearing the voice of the devil. ;)
The rest of the evening was pretty low key since the con was just getting started. Our little six-some of a group went to Tonic for dinner where the burgers are famous and the drinks even more so. After that it was just hanging out in the hotel room waiting for dusk. It was the 4th of july and there was talk of fireworks happening out on the river. At first we had gone up onto the roof of the DLCC and managed to snag a bench before there were to many people. but just before the show started the sky started to darken. Even more impressive then the fireworks were the large cracks of lightning that jolted across the sky. We were asked to go inside the building by con security like, 5 minutes before the show was supposed to start. Rather disappointed we trudged back into the DLCC and we could hear the fireworks beginning despite the rain. Working through the crowds we managed to find a small sheltered balcony we could walk out on and watched what remained of the fireworks show. They were a bit of a distant off so seeing the flashes of light and actually hearing and feeling the explosions were a bit delayed which takes away fro the actual thrill of seeing fireworks. It should be BOOM!!!! flash of light... not.. flash of light and a meager boom. Oh wells..
Friday:
Friday was a good day to start the con. It consisted mainly of going around the Dealer's Den when it opened and marveling at all the different artists and creators that were there. I had one goal in mind for the money in my pocket and that was to purchase myself a
Dreamvisioncreations mask. I've always marveled at them and this year I actually saved up the cash in order to get one. So.. after fighting my way through the crowd gathered around their table I managed to pick out the large canine head and one of the squishy black canine noses to go along with it. I had originally intended this blank to be a Lusty 2.0 head but over the past few days I've been debating on making another suit. All of the suiters in my group don't actually suit as themselves they have a different character that they play. And.. suiting as myself I find it very boring because I just play as... well.. myself. There isn' much difference in the personality. Anyway.. that internal debate is still going on but I hope to have a new head ready for Furfright come October.
Other then the dealer's den there wasn't to much to do during the rest of the day besides loking forward to Uncle Kage's story hour. Kaori and I did go to a fursuit body building (not the muscle kind.. the sewing kind) panel. We already knew most of the basic information so there wasn't a whole lot gained from the panel but it was still nice to go. She and I had both suited up in Lusty and Sherbert respectively and after the panel picked up our fursuiter tags. Dayglow orange .. I wish I got the pretty blue tags. Oh well. I was suiter 602 out of... 1300? I believe. Somewhere there abouts.
Fernando's for dinner I got the dog bowl special.. a sandwich chips and a soda. The sandwich was served in one of Fernando's souvenir dog bowls. Not really sure what to do with the bowl when I got home, it now sits on my shelf and is the spot where i put my wallet phone and keys at the end of the day so I don't lose them. It's pretty handy actually.
Uncle kage's story hour never ceases to amaze me. I don't know how this man manages to do it. He runs Anthrocon, he has a fantastic real world job, he has the cutest mother known to man, and he does it all and still manages to sit down with his con attendees and tell stories. His stories are always fantastic.. It could be something as simple as taking a hot shower.. and the way he spins these tales it's like going on an epic adventure laced with comedy and sarcasm. it's always a good show with Uncle kage and his bottle of wine.

That Anthrocon Thing
Posted 12 years agoSeems I only post journals now when I'm answering memes about conventions I'm going to. Guess I feel like a rightful turd when it comes to updating about my life. Trying to get back into all the suit making and stuff. Lusty will be getting a new tail before the con and I have a few feline heads that I'm going to be starting on as well. If it works I might start making suits for customers. Who knows! Anyways.. back to this meme

Posted 13 years agoThat's right folks... This fur gal has finally reached the ripe old age of.. 21! Dun dun dunnnn.. You all better prepare for this!
Actually.. I'm not really so sure I'm going to be as wild and crazy as society expects you to be on your 21st... Not that I'm a huge drinker anyways.
When I was growing up my dad would always come out with a video camera and start interviewing you. He would always ask the question "So do you feel any older?" and as a kid I always thought it was a stupid question.. But the past year has certainly made me change. Yes I do feel older. I moved away from home. I'm starting a new life somewhere awesome.. and I do feel like an adult. You take so many things for granted as a kid but suddenly when you have to do everything on your own (say like. getting your car reregistered and buying insurance.. ugh) you finally appreciate all that the adults in your life did for you.
Guess this si sort of turning into an appreciation for all those in my life that have helped me out.. made me who I am today and for those that have supported me in this life change.. I love you all! <3
PS... I'm debating opening for a fursuit head commission.. Keep an eye out on my journals for further updates on that.

Posted 13 years agoAnthrocon Recap 2012
Posted 13 years agoAllrighty everyone the moment you've all been waiting for!
...
Yeah right... like many of you really care... Anyways these are just my ramblings about AC 2012 and the few days before it.
I was really looking forward to my first Anthrocon ever! Yet it seemed fate wanted to hate me and I was insanely sick the few days prior with some sort of wicked flu virus. By the time the con rolled around most of the sickness had gone away except for an extremely annoying cough. Needless to say I tried to make the most out of it.
Thursday:
After a bit of a road trip with friends I arrived at the convention with:
Raishi ,
Nekokaori ,
hunterevergreen ,
kusahara ,
Ionyxhalostar
Somehow we all managed to jam into one room and it was pretty epic.
The first day was really chill and relax and we mostly just sat around the hotel room and picked up our Prereg badges...
I was really excited though because I was able to meet up with an old friend from California and the Prancing Skiltaire parties.
Atomisk
It was awesome getting to see a familiar face and knowing that I had friends around.
Friday:
The first day of the actual convention was CRAZY. Of course like everyone else the first thing we had to do was go down to the Dealer's Den and get art. I needed a badge for my suit since she didn't have one yet and so I managed to snag a spot from the super talented.
likeshine
I will post the badge up later when I get a chance to scan it in to the computer.
Friday I was able to do a little bit of suiting but my cough just wasn't wanting to go away so trying to breath with the head on was a bit rediculous and I had to stop.
raishi and
Nekokaori and I made it to the Advanced Fursuit performance panel though which was pretty neat. Got to hang out with a bunch of other suiters and learn... things?
Later that evening we did make it to 2's Rant though and my goodness it was HILARIOUS. If you haven't youtubed that yet I highly recommend it. We also caught the first performance for
mighty-creation The fact that anyone can balance on a tower of chairs while in fursuit is simply mind boggling. It brought the audience to its feet.
Saturday:
Lots of just bopping around the con trying to see all that I could see without dying again from being sick.... Sadly i think I became patient 0 for the con plague this year.
I did however get a chance to suit up with both Raishi and Kaori for the fursuit parade. I was stunned that I managed to make it through the whole parade without a single cough. Perhaps the thrill of the moment made me power through it all. The three of us had fun though and as much as I've heard how terrible the parade was, I didn't think it was to bad or to long. Friggen 1,044 fursuits this year! THATS INSANE! Holy crap so many suiters that was like 1/5th of the total con were suiting up.
Saturday evening,
Hunterevergreen and I met up with a friend from Second life. Hunter and I both work at the AX club on SL and we met up with a fellow staff member
keesar
Keesar was friggen awesome. He actually picked us up and took us to his house to cook us dinner. Not to mention the fact that he had two insanely adorable dogs that we got to play around with.
After the meetup we made it back in time for Uncle Kage's story hour. Again if you haven't youtubed it I suggest that you do! Amazing....
Sunday:
Sunday sunday sunday! sadly it was the last day of the convention. We spent most of the day attending various different shows. We spent the morning watching the Fursuit Dance Competition and then the Charity show. I must say a big congrats to 2 the ranting gryphon for proposing to his sweety. It was so adorable and I wish them both the best of luck..
Sunday evening the con was sadly over but there were tons of people still around so i was able to suit up a final time and went to hang around the zoo...It was awesome took a few pictures met some new people and just was an over all good time..
All in all the convention was awesome. Despite being sick as a dog I made the most of it and had fun! Thanks to all the people I was with for making my first Anthrocon simply amazing.
Raishi ,
Nekokaori ,
hunterevergreen ,
kusahara ,
Ionyxhalostar Somehow we all managed to jam into one room and it was pretty epic.
The first day was really chill and relax and we mostly just sat around the hotel room and picked up our Prereg badges...
I was really excited though because I was able to meet up with an old friend from California and the Prancing Skiltaire parties.
Atomisk It was awesome getting to see a familiar face and knowing that I had friends around.
Friday:
The first day of the actual convention was CRAZY. Of course like everyone else the first thing we had to do was go down to the Dealer's Den and get art. I needed a badge for my suit since she didn't have one yet and so I managed to snag a spot from the super talented.
likeshineI will post the badge up later when I get a chance to scan it in to the computer.
Hunter and I both work at the AX club on SL and we met up with a fellow staff member
keesar Keesar was friggen awesome.

Work update / Going to AC Update.
Posted 13 years agoI never write journals... you folks need to smack me or something to remind me to write these things.
Anyways.....
As you can tell from recent uploads I've been working on a new canine mask. And honestly I'm so happy with my improvement in my work. I've only made three suit heads and by far this third one is way better then the first two. Each time I make a mask it's a learning experience and I pick up new techniques.
This new mask will be of my "lusty" character (see ref in gallery for examples). And just working on the head so far and I plan to have her done for AC which I will be attending! (for the first time.. I'm kind of nervous and scared but i hope to meet lots of new people) If you are going to be there let me know and we can arrange a hang out session or something!
New Mask included:
- Balaclava
- Resin base
- Taxidermy Jawset
- Handcast Resin eyes
- Apoxie Gums / Eye lids
- Hinged jaw
Anyways! Thank you so much everyone for all the new watches and the favorites. Each time I get one it just makes me a little more happy and a little more inspired to keep working!
<3 Ash
Ps... there is this bumblebee hanging out outside my window.. he's big yellow and fluffy looking... I am amused >.>

Internet woes.
Posted 14 years agoIf any of you have been paying attention to the news lately... if the story was even news worth at all for some of you... You might have noticed that last thursday Southern California was hit by a huge wind storm with Hurricane Force winds.
Some of you may think nothing of it as you probably experience it all the time.. but.. not where I am.. California doesn't get freak storms like this. We get earthquakes and heat waves but never enough force of winds to rip trees out of the ground all over the city.
Where I live just outside pasadena was one of the worst hit areas. The city had to declare a state of emergency and is trying to get the state to recognize our area as a Disaster zone because of all the extensive damage to public property including, thousands of trees toppled over, downed power lines, black outs, damaged roofs and so much more.
Anyway.. I wont be on much for the next few weeks as the city undergoes repairs.
The whole city had a blackout for a while and my house was one of 5 city blocks within a five mile radius that didn't lose power.. Originally I counted this as a blessing, we had warm showers and light at night. However a secondary wind storm took out our cable and internet.. no big deal we though it would be fixed...
So it's ironic that while i mocked those that lost their power and I still had it.. for now those homes that lost power have now had their electricity restored along with their cable and internet. Our house on the other hand. the blocks of people that managed to keep power.. will now be out of cable and internet for the next two weeks. It's annoying, and frustrating not being able to know what's going on in the rest of the world. can't watch the news, can't work online. Our lives have kinda been put on a standstill.. Whatever internet I do have I've been mooching off the neighbors free connection.
So... if in the next few weeks you encounter me wether online or irl and I have a cranky face like this: >:( then yeah.. still no internet :/

Italian Vacation Recap
Posted 14 years agoHey folks I've been out of town for a while as some may have noticed that i haven't posted much lately.
I just got back from an 11 day vacation in the wonderful country of Italy! I was so excited to go. I've taken several art history classes during my studies in college. So this was a real treat to get to see some of the art and structures that I would often spend weeks studying in class.
Day 1: Our flight was at 7 a.m. From the infamous LAX airport. Because security there is so tight and it would take at least a 40 minute drive to get there, my family decided to leave the house at 3 am. Oh joy. I did my best to stay up the whole night before hand so that when I finally got in the plane I would be able to sleep. So we finally get on the first plane which was headed to Charlotte North Carolina before connecting to the flight to Rome, and I realized I wasn't going to be getting any sleep at all. There was a little girl in the seat in front of me probably no older then 6 years old.. I made the fatal mistake of smiling at her once which earned me a 4 hour plane ride of her constantly bothering me. She would pop her head around the seat and would poke my leg and eventually started getting really touchy which was... awkward.... I kept saying to myself that her parents would tell her to stop but they were blissfully unaware and actually.. probably happy that their kid was bothering me not them... So we finally leave and there is a two hour layover before our plane to rome.. on this plane.. I slept and boy did I sleep good I slept almost the entire 8 hours of the trip which was... AMAZING! Anyways we land in rome at like.. 7 am their time and I have now been traveling for more then 24 hours and was so wiped out that when we got to the hotel i crashed. I was thankful that first day wasn't going to be to crazy. That late afternoon about 5pm roman time we met our tour guide named Jeff.. Now.. this man.. did more then was ever expected of him and if you ever take a tour of italy I highly recommend doing one with this man. He was epic... and he was from New Zealand which was even more epic (I get a hard on for kiwis in like less then a second). And so after meeting up with him and the rest of the group we went out to dinner in Rome.
The group consisted of the stereotypical type of people... there were the loud obnoxious americans.. (go team... no.. you guys sucked.. hard.. i was ashamed to be from the states). There were the australian partiers, another couple from new zealand. A few Europeans and canadians as well.
Day 2: This was our biggest day of sight seeing. We woke up early like the butt crack of dawn so we could go to the Vatican City. It's crazy it's a whole country in of itself! We got to tour the grounds, St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel. The architecture there was just breath taking. And our local tour guide for the day was rather knowledgeable. His name was Carlo and he reminded me of a rather short tubby version of Dumbledore with an italian accent. From the vatican we then went over to the forum and toured the colosseum. It was huge I can only imagine how amazing it was during it's heyday. After the colosseum we went to go and see the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps. Both of them rather interesting as well. And after what seemed like miles of walking we finally wound up at the Pantheon. It was such a tiring day and we walked something like 8 miles to tour all around the city. Most of the loud obnoxious Americans were complaining at this point.
Day 3: We had another early morning because we had to drive a few hours down the coast to catch a boat over to the beautiful Island of Capri. We got to take a small cruise around the shores of the island and saw some of the most beautiful blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. We spent about hallf the day touring the island with our local guide Dario... he was awkward and seemed to be such the Italian playboy. After Capri we took another small boat across the sea back to the mainland to the city of Sorento. It was such a lovely city perched on the cliffs overlooking the water. We went to an inlay wood demonstration which was rather interesting and then visited the lemoncello factory... probably one of the few alcohols I discovered I actually liked on this trip! Anyways... the hotel was nice but was the only hotel with a pool and we weren't allowed to use it because there was a wedding reception being held out by it. I wanted to just jump in the pool anyways but im not sure the bride and groom would appreciate that.
Day 4: Back in the bus to head to the lost city of Pompeii. It was so sad.. there are tons of wild dogs that live in the area around the ruins and all of them are available for adoption. The people that run the entrance area for the city make sure that the dogs all are well taken care of and some of them were so adorable I wanted to take them home. Though not sure how our tour director would feel about a dog on the bus. As we toured around the ruins though these dogs would follow us seeking the companionship of the people around them. After pompeii it was back in the bus to head to Assissi. Where the Patron saint of animals St. Francis got his name. This was a really cute city perched on the hill but other then the church of St Francis there wasn't much going on as the city was rather quiet.
Day 5. Back on the bus this time to head over to the lovely floating city of Venice. Upon arrival we took a Gondola around the city serenaded by a musician and sipped prosecco (a very sweet sparkling white wine) It was beautiful just casually floating by all the buildings in the area and you get to see the true venice on the water. From there we took a small water taxi up the grand canal and headed back to the hotel.
Day 6: Back to Venice again This time we did quite a few things. In the early morning we went to the island of Murano to see some artisan glass blowers. I was transfixed by the man who made a vase and the figure of a horse in less then three minutes each. the way he worked the molten glass was just mind boggling. After that we were back to the main area of Venice and St Mark's Square. I was excited cause I got to buy a traditional venetian mask and a blank cat mask... I'll have to figure out what to do with the blank one and I'm sure you will see pics at the end of the project. Anyways we toured the Duke's palace and crossed over the bridge of sighs as well. And after that we took another boat cruise over to the island of Burano for a HUGE and by huge I mean.. 12 course lunch. It was lovely though and all the houses were like.. technicolor. Id love to live there for a while.
Day 7: From Venice we traveled North to visit Lake Como. This lake is where all the celebrities and rich people of Italy own a home to vacation. We took a boat cruise around the lake and got to see all the palaces that lined the shores including once owned by the old royal family of italy and George Clooney! to name a few. This was our most relaxing day though and comma had the most luxurious hotel with.. *le-gasp!* free wifi! most places charged at least 8 euro for half an hour of internet which comes out to like 15 US dollars.. such a terrible deal.
Day 8: From Como we traveled down the coast headed towards Florence. However along the way we found time to sneak in a tour of pisa. We got to see the tower and take corny photos of us trying to hold it up while it leaned. We ate lunch at McDonalds which.. in italy.. is better then in the states. Or perhaps it was the fact we were sick and tired of having pasta or pizza for just about every meal. Anyways.. we made it down to Florence for the afternoon and took a tour of the Academy of arts which featured none other then the most perfect man in the world. Why? because he is... quiet... yes.. that's it... he's quiet! David stood there at 17 feet tall in all his naked glory.. mmm i like the quiet >.> haha. Anyways after a bit more of touring the city we made it back to our hotel.
Day 9: We found ourselves back in Florence for another half day. In the morning we went to a gold artisan demonstration and saw beautiful jewelry, and then also went to a leather artisan demonstration where they taught us about their fine leather. Florence is known both for it's jewelry and clothing made from cow hides. ;) Then a bit of shopping and we were back not he bus to head back down to Rome
Day 10: Rome and the airport. Our flight was at 11 in the morning which meant we have to leave the hotel at 7 am. I was appalled at the security in the roman airport. In LAX you have to go through like five security checks, including the dreaded TSA full body scan and have your passport completely checked out and yadda yadda. But in rome there was one guy at a single booth you just flashed your passport and walked on through.. he didn't even bother to check it. It was such a cultural difference and I guess shows off our fear int he states. Anyways the flight back took ten hours which were just miserable because we were flying against the wind. Then another layover in Charlotte NC where our plane was delayed two hours.. that sucked.. and we got back to los angeles eventually after 9pm. However our shuttle driver on the way home was an absolute idiot or something.. he somehow managed to take the wrong route and took us like.. 30 minutes in the wrong direction from our house. he hardly spoke english and it took us that long for us to convey to him he did something wrong.. so instead of being home at 9:40.. we didn't get home till almost close to midnight..
Anyways... that's the end of that... I know it was a lot to read but I know some of you out there wanted full details on the trip :D kudos if you read the whole thing

AMAZING! Growing up in the early 90s I was like obsessed with thunder cats as a kid and it probably partially led to my furriness. I am soooo excited for this new show to come out with a revamp in the animation

Life Update of Sorts
Posted 14 years agoSchool: School is all right. It isn't great it isn't terrible.. it's just average. Classes are fine.. nothing really special to report here except for the fact that I'm still going
Friends: Why is it that it seams most of my best friends live across the country? i've had it with he west coast and can't wait to get out of here... There are so many people I want to meet, to hang out with. I can say I hardly have any friends here where I am not... In one of my classes (Interpersonal Communication) we evaluated our lives and what we consider friendships. How many people do you really call your "friend"? In the end there are only about two or three people that are truly your friend.. those people that you can't get through a day without... Everyone else should fall under the acquaintance category. And.. so it's hard to say but I don't think i have to many "friends" out here.. so.. be my friend! say hi! let's go to the movies!
New suit: She's almost done and will be done tonight in time for the PS tomorrow. My white wolfy has come along greatly and I think there is a HUGE increase of skill from the first suit head I made to the second. Hopefully I can get good enough to start taking commissions for suits. I'd really love to get in to making them not just for myself but for others to enjoy as well. So i was thinking of opening for commissions for small pieces like.. tails and hand paws and what not. That was I can start getting in the habit of making them commercially. So.. if you are in need of anything small.. let me know and we can plan!
PS: yeah I'm going this month... I missed last month due to work on a movie where I got to create a were wolf.. I was so happy to get to do that! Now my makeup will be in a short feature film and the world will get to see how much fun it is to squirt fake blood on people.
Califur: I don't think I'm going to be able to make it this year.. money is really tight and I'm trying to save up all that I can for a trip early in the summer. I may be able to make it down for like one day or something as its only about a 45 minute drive for me.

Wow finally.. a journal...
Posted 14 years agoI suppose I should write one of these.. as I haven't written one in like.. two months! that's sad I think... anyways...
Not much has changed in my social life. I have school, more school and a bit of school. To top it off i think I have school. I hope you get what I'm saying here.
In between classes though i have been working on the new spiffy suit head some of you have probably been looking at.. Already from suit head one to suit head two vie shown a great improvement. I think I owe that improvement to the superior head making style. for the first one I used plastic mesh canvas and I just was not a fan of that floppy stuff. So for the second one I actually sculpted a head in clay and then made a latex mold to ultimately cast it in resin. it worked a lot better this way then the other way as the resin was a good solid base for the mask to be worked on. And I think my eye painting technique has improved as well! So overall... I like the second mask much better then the first.
I hope to be able to get good enough at this stuff to ultimately be able to sell it all. That would be pretty awesome I think. don't you?
Also there has been a big turn around with my parents. From the first suit head they thought it was dumb and wound up throwing away a large amount of my supplies. So for this second head, for some resin they think it is amazing. A couple of times I've walked around the house with the wolf head on and my dad just cracks up laughing because he thinks it is so amazing.. So .. I don't get it...
Anyways.. hope you have a good life! I miss my fur friends.. I want to hang out soon with all of your ok? ps party is coming up and you need to be there! or else! *gives an evil stare*
<3 Ash
ps.. for al the mlp fans.. I have a crush on rainbowdash.

Posted 14 years agoAre you going? I'm going! Woohoo!
Don't know if I'm going to take my suit though... if it is as hot as it has been lately here in socal I value my health and not getting heat stroke over wearing it. Perhaps I'll just have my tail *nods sagely*

Excitement...
Posted 14 years agoSo.. I'm kind of excited but.. i may also be getting ahead of myself on this one but hey... can't learn without trying right?
So far the suit making thing has been really fun and I've been yearning to expand my knowledge base even further. so... that being said I'm going to be making a new suit with a new method to my madness.
I'm going to be making a latex cast resin mask. Sure the matrices thing with the plastic mesh was fun and cute but i couldn't really achieve the facial structure I would like. so... I'm doing the resin casting. I went out and got the smooth on casting starting kit today with my super awesome college student discount at our local art store. And i nearly squeed with happiness when I brought it home.
Next to come is getting a huge amount of sculpey and then start working. this will be a first try so it might not be awesome but.. I'm going to enjoy it.. if all else fails then I can go back to making foam heads again but... gotta try it for the first time.
Also.. I decided I will be selling my resin eyes so keep on the lookout for those. I already have a few people interested in buying them from me so i've been expanding my colors of metallic paints for them. I now offer gold silver blue and green and will hopefully have a rainbow of colors by the end of the week. So keep a watch out! This snow leopard is moving fast! Someone grab her by the end of her ail and yank her back to reality? Perhaps I'm biting off more then i can chew... but.. ADVENTURE IS OUT THERE

Fursuit Update and check out a friends page!
Posted 14 years agoSo some of you may have been wondering how the fursuit is coming along and I am here to fill you in.
For the most part my suit is done with the exception of a few alterations that need to be done here and there.
Last friday I wound up going out to Hollywood to go and join all the entertainers on the street in suit. I went with my friends
Litpup,
Shadowpelt and
PsychoFoxx. It was such a thrill to go and test my suit out for the first time! I loved it. And while my feet paws need a bit of work none the less it all went over really well. At one point there were a few creepers who were obsessed with my suit and told me to pee on them.. but as a first outing.. it was great! I loved it. I will be posting pictures soon of the completed components for the suit.
Also both PsychoFoxx and Shadowpelt are making a comic.
carnivorouscaninecomics Its amazing and their art is just super awesome. You should check out their comic page here: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/car.....plz=1297129852
Love you loads! have a good day

Fursuit Update #1
Posted 15 years agoSo I figured I should give a little update on how my fursuit is coming along.
For those of you that don't know I'm making a fursuit for my fursona. A snow leopard with inverted colors, so that just simply means a black cat with white spots and markings. Simple.. but hey it's me. Anyways... this is the first fursuit I have ever made and I can gladly say that I am proud of the work I have done. I am glad that she has come out fairly ... awesome... looking in my opinion at least.
As of right now though she is just a head, but that is the hardest part anyways. Her head was crafted from mesh and foam and then the fur has been applied. I finished basically furring the head today all that is left is creating the neck line as the suit is only going to be a partial (full suit is a bit out of my budget atm). Oh and I also have to airbrush the spots onto the fur.
Moving on. I got a new airbrush today! It is so awesome and shiny and new and I can't wait to get my head all done! You have no idea. the only disappointment was as follows: On the box for the airbrush (it's a special textile one so the inks wont run off in water or fade) it had pictures of ink bottles and the colors that come in the kit. I got excited that it came already with paint and that I didn't have to buy anything. However... I was most excited that it had white because white is exactly the color I'm going to need. But lo and behold I opened it up and they had ran out of white and substituted it with this ucky poo brown color... what am I supposed to do with that? So...... disappointment in that sense. Otherwise I'm still excited I just have to go and get white paint.
I'm like what... a 5th of the way done? whoooo! *does a happy dance*
Anyways... take care.. love yah all
For those of you that don't know I'm making a fursuit for my fursona.
