Well, great
Posted 11 years agoFor anybody who missed seeing me around all the time, prepare to see me all the time again. Stupid fucking job fired me for something I did a week ago, that I already got scolded for, and suggested I can take it to the union to get my job back. But fuck that. That job sucked. Only benefit was the pay and some of my co-workers. Rest of it sucked ass. So fuck them, I'm going to find a different job, where I can get a position I actually want and do something closer to home. I'm in such a bad mood after this shit.
Not to mention this comes a day AFTER I picked out a car I wanted to buy. No job means no income, and that means no car, because I can't make payments, likely can't get a loan either. Nothing apparently is allowed to go right in my life. :c

Reflections of Dark Thoughts
Posted 11 years agoSo I was on Facebook the other night after work, and it reminded me how it was a friend's birthday. Common for what you'd expect. It was for Breskus Shepherd, who would've been turning 21... except that he's been gone about a year and a half now. Unless you knew him, you may be asking yourself "Where did he go to?" Simple answer is, he killed himself around mid-July 2013. I only knew him less than a year, since he was dating a friend of mine. I didn't get to talk to him very much either, or for long, but I learned some of his favourite bands and a couple songs he liked, and learned we both loved sports.
Why am I bringing this all up then? Because seeing that about his birthday reminded me of him again, and I hadn't really thought of him in a while. Usually I get rather upset when I think back to him, and two others, because it's not easy dealing with suicide. I would've loved to talked to him longer, get to know him more, maybe hang out eventually since he lived in Michigan (even if he was 6+ hours north of here). Instead, I'm just left with the hollow feeling of not knowing why he did it, wishing I could talk to him again and learn more about him, ask some questions I never got the chance to find out about, and maybe even help him to feel better.
This leads to another of those aforementioned suicide victims, Cameron. Some of you may know about him already from past experience. I never had much relationship with him; didn't know if I liked him or not, heard a lot of bad things about how he acted, didn't talk to me much, and a lot of my friends didn't like him after they'd gotten done with him. He also died in May 2013 from heart failure, possibly suicide via drug overdose causing that problem, who knows. The last time I heard from him was 2 months prior to that, when he talked to me about RPing and trying out kemoryona some time. Month later MSN was gone, and I lost contact. Another month passed and I heard the news from a couple friends that Cam had died. Over the next few days heard it was true from a obituary page his family had submitted, and I couldn't believe it. Like Breskus, he was only 19 years old, far too young for death in my opinion. But what's so important about him?
Simply put, if not for him, I wouldn't have half the friends I do today. He's the reason I met
,
,
,
before he became the big famous artist we know today (he didn't even draw when I met him),
, even Daniel through extension of Cam introducing me to Brodie (I forget his FA name). I can't thank him enough for showing me to all these people, even if he didn't know it. I never got to tell him this when he was alive, and it was eating at me during work tonight thinking of putting these words out there. I'm sure hardly anybody actually will bother reading along or saying anything about it, but I wanted to get this out of my head. Sometimes I guess it's just important to remember to appreciate the people in your life and show them you care, and try to break out of the shell to talk with them more, even if it seems impossible like in my case. Because you never know what could happen to them or yourself, and if you'll ever get that chance to tell them.
So for all my friends out there, past and present, I really appreciate having you in my life. I know I never say anything like it, so this is a good chance to correct that. Hopefully I'll still be talking to some of you guys going forward this year, and maybe even some new people I haven't spoken to before or met yet. No matter what, I'm glad to have met you, most everyone has played some role in my life after all. And as for Cam and Breskus, I hope they're resting easy wherever they may be today. Even if I wasn't close with them, I'll still never forget about them.

Happy 25th Birthday
Posted 11 years agoSo in case people didn't figure it out yet somehow, today is now my birthday. Officially will be 25 around after 10 am, but the day has arrived anyway. So far only gift I've receive was Alpha Sapphire from my mom, as I continue waiting for my Omega Ruby pre-order to arrive from Amazon. Not sure when I'll get other presents, due to working on Thanksgiving I'm going to have no birthday party this year, so no idea when or if my family is giving me anything (besides the household family). We'll just see what happens.
Birthday is coming soon
Posted 11 years agoJust in case anybody didn't know and would actually like to do something nice for me as a birthday present (rarely anybody does), my birthday is in a few days. Monday to be exact, and I'm lucky enough to even have three days off in a row with the big day sandwiched in the middle. So I'll be around most of the day until I go to play indoor soccer Monday night. But yeah, if you have interest in doing anything, feel free to go ahead and do it, you got time.
Mostly just wanted to point this out so people were aware of it, even though I know everybody ignores my journals. And I haven't posted anything new in forever so I felt I should post something. But I'm doing some stories on occasion, I've just been really busy half the time thanks to work, so usually when I get home I just get caught up in games or videos. But I'll keep writing still, don't worry.

Job Update Part 2
Posted 11 years agoSo I realized I never mentioned that I began my job back on September 12th, a day after they called me in for paperwork and shit. As of right now, officially I'm working 4 days a week on a full time basis. I get Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays as my day off. Wednesday and Thursday I work from 4 pm to closing (which can vary between 10 and midnight, depending on how long I take to finish all tasks involved with closing), and Saturday and Sunday I work from 7:30 am to 4 pm.
What does this mean for you people out there? Well, the big thing is Fridays and Saturdays I need my sleep earlier in the night, like some point after midnight, and during the days I work, obviously I won't be online at all. Plus I'm being paid some nice money per week, $9.15 an hour to basically be a glorified janitor, which for now I plan on saving up towards a car but will also toss occasionally toward maybe some commissions when I got time. This doesn't mean I'm done writing either, I still love to write stories and I'd be glad to keep doing that while I got time. So if you were waiting to see something like Tainted Glory or many of the short side stories I'm wanting to do, you should still see them eventually.
But for the few interested, it does mean I can't work football anymore. I know I mentioned previously I hoped I could do both still, but thanks to this schedule, it won't be possible. My manager even felt bad when I told him because he already was aware of how I worked football and baseball. I'll be able to continue doing baseball in the spring those three days off, but no more football until further notice sadly. At least I love baseball more anyway, but sucks giving up that nice side cash. Anyway, that's everything as it relates to my new job. I can safely say I am proud of it and looking forward to keeping it until either I move somewhere or unless they fire me, for whatever odd reason.

Job Update
Posted 11 years agoFinally got my badge for the airport yesterday, now the next step is waiting until I get a uniform and my training then I'll start making money for real. Once I start getting some money I'll likely look to commission people on occasion when I can, too. Not like super frequent obviously, but more often than I do now.
Also with it, I still have football to work which I hope to continue doing on the side. I got a string of junior football games Saturday as well to begin their season, if I can still keep Saturdays off for the season to do their games, that'll be a big bonus for my paycheck there. I'll be disappointed if the airport decides I can't do football at all due to shifts and the days I'm given, since I only have 3 days of the week I do games. I'll see if I can't arrange something with them anyway.

Major Update
Posted 11 years agoSo remember the job interview I mentioned that was on Wednesday? Yeah, it went as planned and all that, so don't go thinking it got re-scheduled. However, what did transpire is that the guy doing the interview seemed to like me enough that he offered me the job. :D As it turns out, I'll be working at the Metro Detroit Airport again out in Romulus. No idea yet what terminal or which restaurants, or even what my schedule will look like, but right now I don't care about any of that because I'm finally hired somewhere. It feels amazing to be rejoining the workforce after years of waiting for this sort of break.
I may be on a bit less as a result of this, depending on what I work and all that. But I'll still keep in check on here and try to keep writing (those stories can't write themselves after all), so you won't have to worry about that. My hope is that this won't interfere too much with my baseball and football work during the spring, summer, and fall. I'll just have to arrange my schedule for those around this. I won't be starting too soon either, since it's the airport and they require all kinds of shit first.

Uh Oh, Good News
Posted 11 years agoSo I went to see the Detroit Tigers earlier with my dad, and we lost 7-2 which was a bummer. About a half hour after we get home and while I'm waiting for some dinner to cook, I get a phone call. Since my roommate
told his boss about how I need a job, since she's looking to hire some more people, they seem to apparently want me... well, sort of. They called asking if I'd like to come for a job interview, even though I haven't applied for the place, so I get to come in and meet the boss lady herself Wednesday morning to woo her into hiring me. No idea what the job is I'd be doing or where at, but if it's the same as what Rem does, it'll be at the airport in utility for food services. Which would mean waiting a month to even begin work.
Needless to say I am excited, hopefully this is the break I've been waiting for. I need a job so badly still and everyone else is getting hired around me lately. Just going to hope for the best.

I'm Off To West Virginia
Posted 11 years agoFor the next week or so roughly, I'll be visiting my wonderful boyfriend Daniel down in West Virginia, along with a couple other friends of ours in the area, including
I hope. He has no internet so I'll be on sporadically if I find wifi for my 3DS to use. But yeah, I'll see everybody when I get home for sure. I've been super excited for this moment and I can't wait to get there.

Posted 11 years agoSo first, I got some random virus out of complete fucking nowhere that decided to send itself to EVERY person possible on Skype on my list. Nobody accepted it to my knowledge, but I had no control over stopping it. I did try cancelling the send on every contact and explaining it to those who asked, but it was a huge pain in the ass.
As if that weren't enough of a problem, I ordered something off eBay for
remnic888 and moments after I paid for it, suddenly PayPal told me I was sending some dude $452.25. I never agreed to such a thing, so I immediately went and cancelled that payment. Shortly after after that I had to leave to get him from his job, and when I got home, I had 3 more messages from the SAME FUCKER on PayPal asking for MORE money from me but in British pounds, thus making it cost even more. In total it was over $1,000 at least for these "transactions" and I was too late to cancel them so it was labeled as confirmed. I tried to report these fraudulent claims and my computer shut itself off on me.
The situation now stands (about a day or so after this all started) that I am getting a new debit card issued to me by my credit union, my old one is being de-activated, I'm going to close my current account with them and open a new one, and they'll help me sort this out with PayPal to get my money refunded to me because it should've never happened. Plus I changed my password on PayPal as a result of this, too. As for the virus threat? It kept me off my computer for most of the night after this happened, and then I was gone for baseball half of today but eventually got my computer to let me back on with a system restore (again) and validated Windows, so hopefully it's fine. I haven't seen any more viruses when I scan for them, so just hoping this is over.
What a great time this has been, especially when I've been TRYING to feel happy again. Great things are going on, and I have to deal with this negative shit instead. Why does life always do this?

YouTube Update
Posted 11 years agohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzRgLjmiS8Y For all that haven't seen this yet, I posted it a few days ago. I finally reached 100 YouTube subscribers and I'm not satisfied with that. As cool as it is to have that many, I'd still like more. That's where you people come in.
If you haven't previously watched or subscribed to my channel, this is almost like a way of asking you to go give it a look, see if you like what I post there. If you do, then feel free to subscribe. Also don't forget to check out some of the other underrated people I follow on there like JustBored and SkyHurricane. They both also do some good videos.
Also on the story front, it's going slow. I've had a lot of ideas lately but I just can't get the motivation or time to write. So for anybody who cares about that news, I have a lot of short stories I want to do while I think of motivation for Tainted Glory and Connected Rivers. I thought I'd let everybody know because I haven't posted a journal in months. Hope this helps.

Story Update
Posted 12 years agoGuess what I finally did? I finished a chapter for Tainted Glory at long last. :D I'm going to get it reviewed by a friend first to check for any mistakes, see if anything should be added or taken out for last second editing purposes, then I'll have it posted for you all to see on any site you wish to check (between this, SoFurry, or FanFiction.net) and hopefully enjoy. I know it took me forever getting it done and that's partially from lack of motivation to write, or just getting barely anything written before I get bored, or just things like that stopping me. But rest assured I will keep working on the story until it's completed, I like it too much and have gained a number of fans for it so there's no way I'll let it die.
Plus I hardly ever post updates so this helps let everybody know I am alive still, don't worry about that. I'll hopefully work faster on chapter 7 once I solidify my ideas for how it will go. But that's all I needed to say right now, hope you guys enjoy the new chapter when I get it up.

24th Birthday on November 24th
Posted 12 years agoYeah, original title for once. Today I'm 24 years old, and so far there's been like 20+ people to tell me happy birthday over Skype, so shout out to those folks for getting a head start on the fun in the first hour. If anybody wants to get me gift art or whatever else they can find, feel free to, but I won't beg or make you do it. I'll just hope this is a good day.

An Age Meme (Because I can)
Posted 12 years agoHow old were you when you:
Lost your virginity?
Hasn't happened yet
Lost someone close to you?
11, grandfather died.
Consumed alcohol?
21
Received a kiss?
15
Went to the hospital?
For a problem with me? Never. Visiting relatives, I can't remember.
Had a broken heart?
Never (love is hard for me to feel or explain)
Lost a pet?
Too young to remember, but I guess 2 or 3. One of our dogs died when I was really young.
Went to a concert?
7 (Went to see Weird Al Yankovic with my dad and brother)
Met someone famous?
Can't remember, got autographs from a couple past Red Wings players as a kid though.
Got in a car wreck?
Never
Dyed your hair?
21
Flew on an airplane?
22
Went to another state?
11 (Don't recall going down to Ohio before that)
Got a tattoo?
None yet
Had a piercing?
Nope
Smoked pot?
Never going to happen
Smoked a cigarette?
Not happening
Went to Disney Land or World?
13 (Family vacation to Florida)
Broke a bone?
Never
Had A Long term relationship?
15 (Dated 2 years)
Passed out from drinking?
Won't happen
Were dumped?

Posted 12 years agoI feel like shit for this, as if I'm a total failure at life, but I already quit the airport job. The long hours, long drive, small pay, small interest in the job itself, and other factors pushed me to just give up instead. Ultimately it was due to the badge not being certified by US Customs and I didn't feel like going to do that. Berate me if you must for it, but I already feel bad enough about this whole thing. I'm just hoping I get a new job soon, already applied one place and got plans to try another as well.
Shameless Self-Promotion
Posted 12 years agoI'm pretty desperate to have more watchers over on YouTube. So I'm going to advertise myself here. Basically for the past while I've been doing a couple Let's Plays when I have time or feel like it, and lately started doing what's called "kemoryona" videos, too.
If you don't know what kemoryona is (and I'm sure many of you don't), it's basically the furry equivalent to ryona or gyaku ryona. The premise is pretty much fictional furry character being beaten up, tortured, killed, whatever else. Can be through art, games, stories, whatever, but it cannot be real or happening to a real person/thing. I'll explain this further by pointing out I take requests for this type of thing. If the game lets you play as a furry character (by choice or otherwise), then I'm open to letting that character get beaten up or killed for the sake of entertainment. As long as the character isn't a human, I'm good with it. Feel free to look at one of my three TMNT kemoryona videos if curious.
So anyway, if you have interest in watching me play and commentate on games or watch fictional furry video game characters being beaten up, come give my channel a look. I hate promoting myself this way, but I just want to bring attention over to the fact I post videos more often than I post things on here, such as stories.

Oh hey, finally got a 3DS
Posted 13 years agoI just bought it yesterday morning while it was on sale at Best Buy, because I've been meaning to get one for a while. It's pretty cool having one, likely won't have any new games until Christmas though. So until then I'll mostly use it for DS games and messing around.
But for those who wish to add me, my code is 4312-9807-0551. Leave me your code and I'll add you at some point.

200 Watchers? Is Not Possible!
Posted 13 years agoAnd yet somehow, it is. I'm honestly not sure what happened but suddenly I've had an influx of watchers the past month, at least 10-20 of them maybe. I don't know what it is that convinced many of you to watch me, but thanks for it, it's quite nice getting more people like that. The 200th watcher for the record was a guy named
, don't know if I can give him anything special for it but here's a shout out at the least. I don't update often with anything, so I hope you guys are alright with the long waits.
Anyway, this is a pretty big milestone I think, thanks to all 200 watchers (well, 202 technically). Glad you enjoyed my writing or the pictures I've had drawn for me, since I sure as hell didn't draw any of it myself. I'll continue trying to give you guys things to enjoy as I can.

General Update
Posted 13 years agoI haven't made a new journal in ages, so here's one for you peoples. Basically going to give a short update (or as short as I can make it) that summarizes all that's gone down.
Well, we got the van working back in July after my baseball season basically finished, so I had to ride the bike still to all the games. Thankfully it was working in time for my first football rules meeting, saved the trouble of riding the bike to that. I also bought
remnic888 Pokemon White for his birthday after that. Going past that, football season has been alright. Coaches keep getting angry at me for a lot of shit, but all my partners and the head official like the job I've done. Feel a little conflicted going forward about doing football, though. Some days on the field I reconsider if I want to keep doing it, other days I enjoy it, so it's confusing.
Other big news, I got my driver's license finally back in September. It is like the most liberating feeling to be able to get in a car and drive yourself anywhere you want to go by yourself. I've really loved it, and it's made football season a lot easier getting to my own games and coming home right when they end. Next step is getting my own car or at least getting the other one fixed so I can use it. Which leads into the next thing that's going on currently.
I applied earlier this week for a job in Romulus at a place called Prospect. Basically they hire workers who go do jobs for the airport. There was an ad in the paper last week about them hiring airplane cleaners, so I headed out there to apply for it. To my surprise they called Thursday while I was busy doing a game, so I missed the call and couldn't get in touch. I'm going to call back this morning when they open to see when they'd like to set up my job interview, so I'll hopefully have news of if I got my first real job at some point soon. I REALLY hope I get hired, in fact I'd be shocked if I don't. But we'll see.
Anyway in short, things haven't been too bad. Aside from the occasional drama online, I've had a good year to this point. Youmacon comes later this month, working to get a costume ready for that again, hopefully will have some friends to join me, and plenty of money coming in from football after that. Also noticed I'm up to 189 watchers, I'm honestly shocked by this and confused. I have a feeling I may reach 200 by the end of the year, let's make that happen huh?

That's Fucking Fantastic
Posted 13 years agoSo I had a baseball game Wednesday to do, first time working an 18U game and all, mom dropped me off in the wrong parking lot but still within walking distance. She offers to drive me over closer to the right field, but car won't start suddenly. I go off to do my game like I had to, mom stuck around instead because of my cousin being there, and eventually we got my sister's boyfriend to take a look at the van and let us borrow his car, since they were going down to Cleveland to see the zoo on Thursday. I stayed over there at their house to watch the dogs while they were gone, and mom waited until Thursday to call for the tow truck to bring our van home from the parking lot in Riverview. Got home and had my uncle look over the van, and apparently he has no idea what the hell's wrong, outside of something with the fuse. The van won't start, lights don't come on, and can't use the locks without the key. He says it'll take a while to figure out what is the problem since anything could cause it. Not to mention the passenger side window doesn't work and the air is broke.
This is where the fun part begins. He suggests we fix a different car instead because it'd be easier. Because guess what, we only have one car now that runs, and it's my dad's. He needs it for work every day besides Sunday. What this means is we have no car to use when he's at work, meaning I have to ride a bike to my baseball games when I work along with other problems. It was suggested I help pay for the repairs, but I have no job outside of baseball, so no steady income. First thing is I have to help buy the part my Cutlass needs (i.e. the car I was going to get once it was fixed, which is sooner than later now) and then help buy the new tires for it. After that we have to try and get it taken up to the auto mechanic to see if he can put the part in for us, which I likely have to pay for, too. Plus it needs a new windshield still, huge crack in the present one. I don't know how much this is all going to cost and I really hope I got enough to cover this. *sighs*
I know I'm stretching it if I ask for any help on this problem, but it's a real pain in the ass for my whole family having to deal with this shit so much. Always something breaking down or not working and it's annoying. If anybody wants to contribute anything to help us fix my car so we can use one (and subsequently get me my license already), please feel free to. But I won't count on it since I know nobody cares half the time. If you want to though, I'll give you the Paypal info to do so. Just sick of shit like this always happening.

Belated Furry Fiesta Update
Posted 13 years agoSo yeah, I did go to Furry Fiesta last month and spent a whole week in Texas to visit people and hang out with friends. I've been really lazy and unmotivated so haven't posted this sooner. May not be fully stocked now because it's been a couple weeks, but we'll see.
Thursday I left for the airport here in Detroit early in the day, got there on time and everything, go to get my boarding pass and get informed the plane can't take more people on it now, leaving me and two others grounded while our bags are already boarded and flying to Chicago and then Dallas (or Seattle for the one guy). Took an hour but they finally sorted things out for us, each of us receiving a compensation check from the airline for the inconvenience and re-arranged with a new flight. Mine was for 5:30 and it was already like 2:30 or something. So I came back home to eat again, relax, things like that. Headed back to the airport, was stuck in a huge security line, arrived as the plane pulled away so missed my flight. Worked it out that I could fly around 7:30 or something if they had room on another plane, which they did in the end, so I made it to Dallas around 11:00 pm Central. Got picked up by
lazyamp and
rejonicle from Dallas Love Field Airport and went back to Lazy's dorm for the night.
Friday morning came, Lazy went off to pick up
boxercoffee from the bus station while Reji showered, and in the meantime arrived
telem and
redheadpika who I let in without knowing them yet. Eventually our group all went out to get some food at McDonald's first before stopping at Office Max for some lanyards and things, then went to the convention together. Not long after I finished registering and everything, while walking around towards the Dealer's Den, I happened to run into
slashthehedgie and
jonathan0322 in front of the entrance area, recognized by the ears, tail, and "badge" Kaji had on. So I went over to visit with them and ended up hanging out with Kaji for much of the day because I found myself getting along great with him. We headed to the gaming room and played Brawl together until I got hooked on playing Rock Band 3 with all sorts of furries for a lot of the night. A lot of that time I played bass while singing because we only had 3 people playing and they had a mic stand. I had a ton of fun playing in there for a while, even think I played with
vene without realizing. With Reji and them going out for dinner and not returning later, I had to ask
foxyareku via text if I could come move my stuff from Lazy's car to his so it'd be ready to go when we went back to his apartment later that night. Hung around for a few more hours, met with Mavsfox (or Jake the Otter as he was known) while talking to a staff member about Pokemon, watched people playing Werewolves of the Dark Arts, then went back to the apartment with Areku, Vene, and
sidec to stay for the night. Watched Areku play Bayonnetta and an old N64 game on his Wii before putting on an episode of Mystery Science Theater that we fell asleep watching.
Saturday morning we had doughnuts for breakfast, headed back to the convention, I met up with Kaji again and we hung out together some more. Then Reji and them guys invited me out for lunch with them and asked Kaji to join us, so we had a group of like 12-13 people including a few other friends of theirs I didn't really get to know. Kaji and I decided to hitch a ride with Telem and Red-Headed Pika to the restaurant, which was some Japanese restaurant I had no real interest in. We arrived at the one Telem's GPS said, saw NASCAR on the TV (because when you think Japan, you think NASCAR), and realized they weren't there. We drove around town, plagued by being in an alternate dimension or something as Telem has theorized, trying to figure out where they meant for us to go, until we finally found the place. Everybody ordered without us and left the four of us to sit alone at the end of the table, barely really acknowledging us much. I ordered a bowl of chicken broth with nothing in it and a Coke because that's all I could find I liked, so Kaji offered to buy me some real food elsewhere after they finished eating, which Telem and RHP supported. We drove around some more again, found this little shake shop of some kind, ordered milkshakes for everybody and I had a chicken sandwich, and by the time we headed back to the con realized we'd all been together for like 3 hours. I went back to play more stuff in the game room, namely Rock Band again, and later in the evening Reji invited me to dinner with them again. We convinced Kaji to come with us again, so we rejoined Telem and Pika to form our Pokemon Rescue Team again to find the place. But the restaurant was full, so we got told to find this Joe's Pasta place instead, along the way seeing a kid nearly get run over by the car he just got out of because of his stupidity, and decided "Screw being a rescue team, we're an exploration team now." We made it to the restaurant, realized Lazy and them guys weren't there again, they told us "We didn't like how it looked, eat where you want" and so we got pissed off and stood around outside by the Telem-mobile planning our next move. Finally we settled on eating at Joe's, I had myself a calzone and a Coke and it was really delicious. They had all kinds of great food on the menu, too bad we had limited time to be there. We finished eating and headed back to the convention again, I continued hanging out with Kaji, went to watch more Werewolves and even tried playing during the No Reveal game and was the first person killed, so I didn't get to enjoy it much (I was only a villager, too D:). Areku was killed 2nd, so we both texted back and forth some about our thoughts on the game until eventually we gathered our group and went back to the apartment.
Last day in Dallas, Sunday was quite condensed. My bus to San Antonio was leaving around 4:30 or so, meaning I had to leave close to 3 or 3:30. Too bad we all took a while to wake up and get ready to head back to the convention, as I didn't get back till close 2 pm and had to get my bags from Areku's car to limit my mobility. But I still managed to find Kaji again and managed to reassemble our Exploration Team for a quick team photo with my camera, which Reji helped out with. After some hanging out together in the con suite, I managed to ask Telem and Pika if they could drive me to the bus station in Dallas and had a fun ride with them one last time, giving hugs all around (and same for Kaji), then waited for my bus. Spent the rest of Sunday on buses or in bus stations until I made it to Boerne and got picked up by Victor to head back to his house for the week. That however is a separate thing entirely from the convention, so I won't mention that here.
In all, I loved my time in Dallas at Furry Fiesta. I had a really great time hanging out with Kaji-chuu, Telem, and Red-Headed Pika, they made it a lot more fun than I expected to have, and I'm glad I met them all. I did not get to meet Santo, but he's the only person I didn't see. I liked meeting Sparks as well, he was a cool guy. I did enjoy finally meeting Reji and the others in person, but they kind of ignored me more than I expected, so I can't say that went as planned. But they were still nice and it was cool to see how Boxer looked, especially with his amazing hair he has now. Thanks again to everybody in Dallas who helped make the convention possible for me to attend, like Lazy and Reji for getting me at the airport through the issues, Areku for letting me stay at his apartment (he was a cool guy to meet, too), and of course our exploration team for giving me a lot of entertainment Saturday in particular. I've missed a lot of these guys and can't wait to come back next year.

To all you folks in Texas
Posted 14 years agoThere's going to be an invasion on your land from a skinny Raichu that nobody should be afraid of for any reason. Yes, that's right, I'm going to be heading down to Dallas and San Antonio (hopefully) next month for Furry Fiesta and then to visit a couple non-furry friends afterward. I officially pre-registered for the convention earlier tonight and donated $10 towards their charity of helping an animal charity. I still need my plane tickets booked to and from Texas, but I'm going. So now we get to the next part of this.
Thanks go out to
,
, and Blade for helping make this possible. Areku for giving me a place to crash during the convention, Reji for giving me a place to stay and hang out before the con Thursday night, and Blade for asking Areku for me about staying with him. Also going to look forward to meeting those two,
,
,
,
,
, one other friend of Reji's I don't know, and my other friend Mavsfox (who doesn't have an FA account) at the convention. Also a chance to see
there but he isn't fully sure if he'll make it, too.
If anyone else is going and wants to meet up or hang out or something, feel free to let me know, though honestly I'm not that interesting in person. :x But hey, I won't stop anybody from talking to me. I'll even give certain folks my cell number if you want to contact me at the convention to meet up easier. I'm really excited for this trip, I've wanted to go to Texas for over 2-3 years to meet friends, and now I'm going to get that chance. I just need a ride down to San Antonio after the con, too.

Who Wants to See Me Embarrass Myself?
Posted 14 years agoThis is something I've meant to post for a few days but wanted to get that review out of the way first, and it helps shrink my page back down with a smaller journal. Not that most people care, it's rare I get comments or anything.
But anyway, Blade wanted to see an old shit story of mine again that was my first online story I released that got me started. It was originally only on a forum, which died many years ago and thus disappeared. Sadly with some digging on an old computer found the original documents of the story and its two sequels, which also cannot be found anywhere else. For anybody who's checked my FanFiction.net profile, the last 2 stories in the series are there. For your own sake, they're not worth reading either.
Now for the point of this whole thing. As I explained, I've never released Pichu's Quest to the public since the forum it was on died in maybe 2007. It's a horrible story, absolutely horrible in every way imaginable. x.x I'm embarrassed to know I wrote it, but even without looking at it at all for years, I still remember most of it. But the few people who have read it think it's hilariously bad, like The Room. Now I don't find it funny, and I hate the idea of showing it to the world, but... let's just take a vote of public opinion here.
Do you want to see the first three Pichu's Quest stories? I may consider putting them on here but in scraps, to save myself the shame of seeing them show up easily, if there's enough interest (despite my intentions of hiding the series away forever). On top of that, there must be enough votes for this to really count. So if you want to see some horrible shit I wrote when I was 13 and 14, go ahead and let me know here. I'll be greatly disappointed if enough of you say yes to this, but I'll do it anyway. Don't know how long I'll keep this vote going for, so might as well vote right away before I change my mind on this.

Posted 14 years agoIt's late by a few days, but been meaning to post this like I did last year. A look back at 2011 and review everything that went on each month. See how good or bad this year was. To me felt like it was great, but we'll see.
January: Alright, hard to recall this month well because I have a shitty memory, but what I do know is I went to visit Blade while we dated still, spent a week or so out there in Jackson with him. Not sure much else of note happened now.
Overall: Decent
February: I remember even less about this month now, seems rather uneventful besides our usual Super Bowl party at my cousin's house. Probably just involved a lot of Rock Band then.
Overall: Decent
March: I do recall a couple things about this month, some point during it I had my classes and stuff for doing my first year of high school baseball. I do believe I posted about it, too. I was recommended to give it a shot by my boss Vic Lambert from Riverview after seeing me in action for a year in 2010. Basically told that the veterans begin right away, but us rookies had to wait about 2 weeks for the season to get in full swing, which was in April. Also believe that
, Blade, and I broke up in March. Could be wrong about it, though. The three of us briefly had a triangle relationship for a couple weeks.
Overall: Good
April: High school baseball kicks in, with some 8th and freshman level games mostly. But also had a couple JV games now and then. Only bad thing is much of April was rain, rain, and more rain so a lot of games got washed out, meaning we'd have a ton of work later with double headers and make up games. Also got to attend FCN with Blade and his roommates, which wasn't too bad. Met Uncle Kage there and lost in a Rock Band tournament. Few days later we broke up, and I've been single ever since. But I've had my eyes on
and
anyway so haven't felt depressed.
Overall: Good
May: Baseball season gets into full swing, doing more softball and baseball games in the high school ranks, and then went to my class for Riverview and little league baseball, which started as well in this month. Thus beginning a summer of awesome with tons of money flowing in. :D Made a lot of money from high school games, which pays at the end of the season mostly.
Overall: Great
June: This is when it gets a bit tricky. Baseball continued on, with little league mostly, meaning getting paid right away for each game which adds up pretty quick. Had a great time doing the games as usual, was one of the most experienced umpires we had. But our router crapped out on us, so we needed to wait for weeks on Kevin to get a new one. Eventually got a wired one so I had to use mom's computer for a while, but ended up just bringing up Kevin's old one so I could finally migrate to it. Once he got the new wireless router, swapped the wireless receiver to this one, and used it up here again. Best part by far in this month, Sheena returned. Missed her so badly for a year and a half, it was awesome seeing her back.
Overall: Decent
July: Biggest highlight of this month was I got to work the annual Riverview baseball tournament, did all U11 games basically with another couple younger umpires. It felt so weird being the "adult" of the crew with both guys. Not only did I make a lot of money on this weekend as usual, got my 1st career ejection of a coach. :D! It felt amazing to do, coach kept on giving me and my partner a hard time all game so I finally had enough and threw him out. Reported it to my bosses and they were all proud of me, first time in my 5 years of umping I did that. I believe baseball ending was the last notable thing of this month.
Overall: Awesome
August: Good month for a couple reasons. One being it's when
's birthday is. Another is Neil Cicierega's and Blade's, but that's another story. Anyway, not sure much happened here, except that I got invited to work football games for the Michigan Officials Association, the same folks I worked with in high school baseball. So I went ahead and attended their meetings and classes.
Overall: Decent
September: This is when football season got started, meaning more money again. :D Found out we do junior football games as well, 3 games every Saturday in consecutive order, for about $116. Then other times get sent to do 8th grade games. I didn't get any JV or Varsity games this year, since I was a rookie, but I did a couple freshman games, too. I mostly stuck to being a line judge and head linesman (the guys on the sidelines), but tried umpire a couple times and liked it. Pretty fun after you get the hang of it.
Overall: Good
October: Football season continued, getting more money earned and having a good time doing the job and learning more about the game. Plus I got called up to start doing fall baseball games like I was asked about over the summer. Basically every Sunday, starting at 11:30 am for 5 weeks straight, I'd have to go out and do 3 games in a row for U10 by myself with the same 3 teams. Bright side, each game was timed for 1 hour and 45 minutes, and they gave us a half hour or so between games, so could go relax and get some food and drinks from the concession stand. Made a nice $60 each week for that, adding up quickly. Plus Halloween was pretty fun, dressed as James from Team Rocket to pass out candy, with my Meowth plushie on my lap and a Poke Ball with Ekans in it.
Overall: Awesome
November: Here we had Youmacon, starting the weekend of November 4th I believe in downtown Detroit. I had spent the past month inviting friends offering to pay for food and hotel if they came, but in the end nobody but Blade could make it. We drove out there to pick him up a couple days before the con so he could stay here with me and hang out together. Went to the convention as Zeke from Zombies Ate My Neighbors, my Red Mage from last year (which got converted to Raichu Red Mage by Blade's suggestion), and then Jeff from Earthbound. Got to stay with my brother's friends in a hotel room, since they were generous enough to allow the two of us to stay with them. Met Lemon Demon again (or at least Neil), saw the Little Kuriboh Roast, met Team Four Star, and got to ride on the elevator with LK. :D Pretty good time overall, too bad they had no Rock Band tournament this year. But they did have a Turtles in Time arcade machine, which was kick ass. Also in this month was my 22nd birthday, which was regrettably forgettable. Not much happened, the party was boring and uneventful, and barely got any presents. However did get a nice picture from Blade and Victor, both of which here on FA.
Overall: Good
December: Lastly we have, well, last month. Really great month, I must admit. Signed up to play indoor soccer at Taylor Sportsplex, had our practice which felt great, and then Christmas got a bunch of games I really wanted. Ended up with Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Black Ops, Halo CE Anniversary, MVC3, Street Fighter IV, Pokemon Ranger Guardian Signs, Lego and Green Day Rock Band, gift cards for Game Stop, really cool Mario jacket, Detroit Lions hoodie, some new boxer-briefs, and a Ghostbusters shirt. Also the incident from the last journal, which was resolved after a few days when my parents got me a new 22-inch TV from the Salvation Army for $26 to replace it.
Overall: Great
Alright, so that's the whole year in review basically. Forgot to mention in there my brother moved out and is now living up north in Standish, near Saginaw. We helped him by driving up there with him to move in all his stuff and everything. It's a cool looking apartment, made me feel anxious about how I should really go to Saginaw Valley State University and apply. I believe that was in November as well. Plus my cousin Zack returned from the Army over the summer and got to hang out again, was great seeing him again. So all in all, I'd say 2011 was a good year. First time in forever I can say that. I can't even remember the last time I had good year. If you managed to read all of this, I applaud you, took me over an hour to type this all. Here's to hoping 2012 is just as good.
