Back from break
Posted 12 years agoI'm still recovery from surgery, but I decided to come back here now. I won't be able to open commissions just yet since I'm going through an artblock and need to focus on my health, but the new sheet will be posted soon.
I feel a bit more confident coming back here but there are still remaining anxiety issues, so I don't know how much I'll be posting.

Posted 12 years agoThe break from here has been really helpful for my health. I am not returning just yet, but I do want to update people on how I'm doing. It has been a very difficult but rewarding time, I've broken down a lot of negativity surrounding me, which has currently caused me to become very emotionally sensitive, I have been crying a lot.
I am currently seeing a neuropsychologist to help reroute my negative and irrational thinking, I am trying to explore different hobbies to keep me busy, such as photography and taxidermy. I am also looking for support groups that I can join, I'm hoping to start life over with a smile and let go of negative feelings and people. I hope to build my confidence with my art and not have fear over everything I post on this site.
I will be returning to FA in the late August after my surgery, I also plan to open commissions then as well (there will be a new sheet and prices. They will be more expensive, but I want to be fair to myself.)

Posted 12 years agoI've decided I'll be taking another break from here. I'm tired of feeling like my art is shit and want to get out of that thought process. I'm tired of trying to please others, I'm tired of having my self worth being decided by anyone but myself. I'm tired of being paranoid, I'm tired of feeling like the friends I used to have hate me. I'm tired of feeling alienated; I don't want to have these irrational thoughts control my life.
Not sure how long I'll be absent and I don't want to put a number of days to it. I want to get out and enjoy life instead of wallowing in self hatred. I want to feel that I'm free to draw whatever I want and be happy with it, not have my confidence hindered because it's not someone's cup of tea. I want to draw for myself again. I don't want to get anxiety attacks from posting art.

Posted 12 years agoI'm going through another of those "I think all my art is shitty" times. I'm getting incredibly frustrated at my drawings and have been battling a lot of self loathing when it comes to it. This tends to happen every few months or so, I get immense anxiety uploading here and other sites. It's coming at a bad time since I want to revamp my commissions and have been waffling around with the new prices. It's been frustrating because I'm on an antidepressant but I've been having to change brands several time because I've gotten bad side effects from them; it's an extremely aggravating process of trial and error.
I dunno if I should take another break or what, especially considering that I have surgery in a few months and I don't want all this stress to negatively effect it.
Future art delays
Posted 12 years agoI am going to be a little delayed with doing art in the future, I have been facing lot of complications with my back and leg; I have also been experiencing bad side effects to the medications intending to treat it. I will be visiting my doctor in a few days to see if there are other medications I can take and if I have to get a new MRI done. I will likely decrease in activity both on here and with art.
(I apologize if the wording sounds odd, I'm feeling extremely disoriented and loopy right now.)

MY DOG GOT HIT WITH A GOLF CLUB (DONATIONS OPEN!)

Yesterday afternoon my dog Lucy jumped in front of my dad while he was practicing his swings with the golf club and she got whacked in her head and began bleeding from the eye. We rushed her to the vet who managed to put her on an anti inflammatory for her brain, which thankfully didn't begin to swell from the time we got her there. She was then transferred to an emergency clinic where she has stayed the night. Fortunately she is being very responsive but is still having trouble moving her front legs and may require physical therapy down the road. She will not be able to come home today like we hoped, she will be spending another night at the clinic due to other concerns (I can't remember what exactly they were concerned about, something about her pupils shrinking to a pinpoint) We are looking at some steep vet bills totaling so far at nearly $2000 USD.
I am opening for donations to try and help my family, I appreciate any amount you can spare. Even spreading the word will help me greatly!

UPDATE 1: I just got off the phone with my mom and she's said that Lucy is continuing to get better. She's eating, drinking, using the bathroom, and has some coordination in her front feet (though she is leaning to the side somewhat and is rather wobbly) I can't wait to visit my little girl, she's been so strong to overcome these hurdles.
UPDATE 2: Visited her at the clinic. She is much better than she was yesterday, she was trying to get settled in our laps but she couldn't get very comfortable. She's on heavy duty pain pills so she was a little slow, but other than that she seemed to be acting relatively normal. We're going to get her a new bed and cage so she can sleep up in our room when she's discharged, we'll have to keep her away from her son Milo until she's strong enough.
UPDATE 3: Lucy should be coming home this afternoon! We're going to make sure she gets a lot of rest and TLC.

She's been doing well since she's been home. She's on four different medications plus drops for her right eye. The swelling on her nose has gone down and her eye is not as badly bloodshot. She is still a little uncoordinated and walks like a drunken sailor, though I think her locomotion will improve when she gets stronger and more exercise. She's eating and drinking well, and she's using the bathroom outside. Her pain pills make her very drowsy, so she'll be sleeping for the majority of the day. She's on a diet of ground beef and rice, which she really likes!
UPDATE 5: She's been getting a little better, we took her downstairs so she could walk around more. We let Milo see her with and he's been really calm around her, but we still feel he must be constantly supervised. Lucy even tried pulling on his ear, which is what she used to do to get him to play fight with her.
Hiatus
Posted 12 years agoI have recently fallen into an extremely depressive state. I feel that it is the best interest for my health for me to stop posting/going on all art sites for a few weeks to a month. I will still be actively drawing, but I will not post any work online.

you know what really irks me?
Posted 12 years agowhen people draw rabbits with paw pads.
I know it's because popular cartoon characters are drawn with them (Thumper, Bugs Bunny, Roger Rabbit, ect) but if you google pictures of rabbits it's easy to see that they aren't there http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1312.....be2389e42a.jpg
There are a lot of other errors with rabbits people draw (the broken ears, buck teeth, digitigrade, the large dogish noses) I guess my irritation comes from owning a rabbit I guess.
My dumb early morning rant is over.

basically just like any other raffle you put your name in and i draw it out randomly, if you are chosen you win a free cellshade porn picture featuring your character and one of mine listed below <: there will be two winners!
there's no admission fee or whatnot, but if you repost this your name will be put in the bag 3 times, meaning a more likely chance of being picked. I will also be allowing all genders to participate (the character's orientation will determine what can be allowed if you choose them)
