I finally found a little time to myself and I'm gonna start tidying up around here and moving some new art into this gallery.

Somethings may move, some may disappear (hopefully not).

It can be surprisingly difficult to grow up, especially if you're a crazy person.

Ever since I've moved to California I've been in this constant state of uncertain identity. I had personal desires to 'start fresh' and live a whole new life apart from my last one, I had spiritual moments that exposed me to entirely new internal facets that I sought to embrace, and I've had mistakes and tragedies twist me in ways that left my face twisted and torn down to the bone.

A simple gesture from my very first furry friend ever really helped pull everything into focus. Its been years of struggling and worrying about who I am for myself, for my family, and of course for all of you. I also know that I've surely confused, inconvenienced, annoyed, or even betrayed some of you with my 'twinsanity' even when it just boils down to who signs the piece.

With the intent of not tiring anyone with my furry origins, Ill simply say that BFF delivered into my paws a hearkening back to the early 90s - a flashback to that moment in NYC when I looked into the eyes of the mongoose and she looked right back.

This is the start of a golden age, some say, and 2012 is an exciting time for me. This is a point of Epiphany, I feel, and I look forward to a new year of creativity, friendship, and hopefully a little success.

Things may be slow to spool up and be ready while I clean up the mess that surrounds me and I make my new debut, so please mind the dust and the noise.

Here is the situation: Fryll and I moved to Cali, got screwed out of a perfectly affordable apartment and then settled for a nice, but expensive one near the ocean. Of was very affordable until we lost our roommate and had to then cover his part of the rent. As a result things are tight. Super tight. This means Im going to start taking emergency assist art commissions. I will be offering color conbadges in normal and jumbo for 15 and 25 dollars repectively. Regular 8x11 commissions will be available only as pencil or ink monochrome for 30 or 40 dollars for one character. Rates may change with complexity. I apologize for the lack of full color full page but my colorblindness makes it too hard for me with the resources I have right now. I will be limiting the number of spots open at a given time to 10, which may also fluctuate with complexity.

So... Absent much? Yeah.

I am a scatterbrained mongoose and it can take a startlingly long amount of time for me to adjust to new surroundings. California has me scattered...

But now, as I wait for my Papa John's order to come through a raging storm I have a moment to post.

So one thing that has kept me from arting is a lack of scanner. I forgot to pack it when I moved and I'm waiting for the eastern folk to mail it to me. Once it's here though, I am prepared to maybe be drawing again... It's been a few months >.>

Also, Plushielove has undergone a major lifestyle change. It may not be permanent but the sex symbol with the red and black ringed tail has decided to go exclusively male for a while. Why lose the bewbs and vajayjay you ask? Honestly, I feel far less female these days...

But if you are a special Plushie Lover who asks nicely, I may pull out the ebony fun pillows for you from time to time.

Fear not, mortals. I still plan on drawing herms... And smut... And herm smut... But expect to see a more male (and thusly far gayer) Plushielove in future arts.

I am a filthy, filthy mongoose... >.>

It has been something that has plagued me for a long time... Being deuteranomalous, that is having blindness to certain wavelengths of red/green/yellow , has made being an artist difficult... And it's made life difficult sometimes too.

Lately I've been having a hell of a time getting the art-mobile moving. It's partly to my own decreasing stamina and partly due to frustrations around my inabilities. The color thing has been getting harder and harder, as perfectly nice line art disintegrates before me as soon as my Prismas hit the paper. Photoshop is also completely out because my colorblindness is worse on monitors. I mean... I can try. And I have... But I mostly get lucky if it comes out well.

So I'm trying something new and it's thanks to a customer I had at my current vocation. I commented on his art and then he asked if I was an artist. A few turns later I admitted I had deuteranomic colorblindness and he told me that I should try my hand at greyscale. I always feel like grayscale is the poor man's style... Particularly in the vibrant, digital world of furry... But it lifted my spirits.

So alot of my work from now may look different... Less colorful and perhaps even a bit more stylish... We shall see.

This is mostly talking off the hip, but I wanted to tell this little story to you: my friends, fans, and family.

For lack of any real new art, I've decided to roll back the clock and start scanning a bunch of my old sketches and such. Revel in the ancient scrawlings of a deranged and yiff-hungry mongoose. I'll be posting a few each day and hopefully by the time I finish, there will be a new drawing on the table...

Just a quick update for everyone... I finally got a job and things are getting a bit better. I'm still in a little bit of an artistic slump but both my handsom mate *and* the shiny, delectable, and very likely lickable Doral have inspired me to draw new, dripping smut. Keep your eyes open for teh new pronz!

Ive been having trouble lately. I've been without a job for over a month now and it's really starting to hurt financially and emotionally. I've gotten to a point where I've lost my creative spark and I think that hurts most of all. I really want to be able to create art and stories again not just for my sake, but for all of you... And I've just been failing horribly.

I'm sorry again for the lack of updates, it's just not happening for me right now. I'm feeling pretty low and things just aren't going well.

This also means that, as of now, I won't be going to Anthrocon. I just can't afford it anymore. I'm sorry to all those who were hoping to see me there.

I was going to reinstall my scanner and try to get some art done. I have my shiny new 24" iMac and I really wanted to get rockin on it...

But... My scanner isn't compatible with OS X... At all. It's an ancient Visioneer that doesn't even have *windows* support anymore. Oh well... I was thinking of getting a new scanner soon anyway... Had a combo system at Sears that I was eyeing... And it was only around a hundred...

But anyway... Yeah... Gonna be slow for a while.

Im breaking the game in a similar fashion to Lizardbeth's mention... But I haven't even been tagged, so HA! I do my 6 things without a tag AND I don't pick 6 targets. So there.

6 Habits/Fears/Hates

1) I hate my inability to consistently produce art. I am not only incredibly self-conscious about my work, I also peak and wane quite frequently with how much I can produce. Some months I have a picture a week... Some months I have nothing. *pout*

2) I am colorblind. I have "red/green" colorblindess that does not prevent me from seeing all colors, it just makes it more difficult for me to recognize alot of them. This makes coloring art between frustrating and impossible and as much as I want to do it, I just often don't.

3) I, like some others doing this meme, am afraid of bees. They are just buzzy and scary and move like magic. *snarl*

4) I do not know how to keep a schedule. I also stretch myself incredibly thin. I WANT to do more things than seems mongoosely possible in the span of a day. If I had it my way I would have enough time every day to draw, work, eat, play WoW, play EQ2, play Wii, paw, and have flex time for whatever. Damn the 24 hour clock!

5) I am very much a fursexual. Aside from my own love for my boyfriend, I really do not find other people sexually attractive. Fursuits and furry art are what erect my peg and often very much so. I can go for quite awhile without having a bout of arousal, but the right notification in my FA control panel can really get me revved up, much to the delight of some of the individuals on my messenger lists >.>

6) I have an oral fixation. I neeeeed things in my mouth. I need to chew, suck, nibble, and gnaw almost 24/7. It pleases me. I usually have a pack of gummi bears, beef jerky, Juicy Fruit gum, and/or random chewy plastics on hand to work my teeth on. And yes, those who have known me in the past know that I have quite a collection of pacifiers. But only one NUK 4

The three artists that inspired me the most through my early artistic development and the characters that I drew...

When I was very, very little I really loved Disney. I still do, as a matter of fact (politics aside). When I was old enough to put pen to paper I would do very crude sketches and such of Disney cartoon characters. Both Disney and Warner Brothers drew their cartoon duck bill a way that really caught my eye and I do remember drawing that signature beak over and over and over again in my early work. To this day I still love that shoehorn duck bill.

As I grew older I grew into video games. When I got my very own Sega Genesis way back in yonder days, I was starting to develop inclinations towards what I would later discover to be the furry lifestyle. One of the steps on that journey became the cast of Sonic the Hedgehog... More specifically, Miles "Tails" Prower.
I really loved Tails for some reason. I drew quite alot of him for quite some time, collecting books and magazines that his image graced and copying him into drawings here and there. His character even inspired my own (at the time only semi-original) character named Firefox who appeared in many drawings, comics, and short stories written by yours truly.
Firefox still exists in my vault to this day, but in a much altered form. His world has matured along with me, and he is part of a now decade-long project that may never end... But time will tell...

Finally, the last key step before I really started doing what I would now consider to be 'art' was my teenage period where I discovered two things that were strongly interconnected: Manga and 'sexy art'. I admired and adored the beauty of these manga artists and so badly wanted to draw characters that both caught the eye and aroused the viewer. In this desire to assimilate cuteness, sexiness, and passion into my art I was drawn to the comedic/dramatic/romantic stylings of the very honorable Rumiko Takahashi. Takahashi-san's series Ranma Nibunnoichi was funny, cute, sexy, and touching all at once. It was one of the greatest things I discovered in my early teenage years.
Takahashi-san is definitely the artist who influenced me most. Her art taught me the beauty of a wide, expressive eye and the subtle , yet powerful differences in facial expressions. It is because of her that the eyes are, to me, the cornerstone of any character piece.

I'm slowly awaking from my hibernation... Been doing light sketches and such again and getting my soul and sense of humour back. I'm still entertaining myself at great length with my Wii and my 1st year anniversary in WoW.

I have recently pondered... Pondered trying EQ2 again... But since I started playing WoW nothing else seems to dethrone it... Which I feel bad saying. I hate being part of the 'pop culture' as it were, but WoW has been my MMO of choice for a good solid year. I keep trying to go back to other stuff but... It just ends in tears. I'd probably like EQ2 more if it didn't run like a cow on marijuana. Oh well... I do so love the Ratonga though.

Anyway... Been reading more Lovecraft. I do so love his stuff... More so now that I'm old enough to understand most of the words... >.>

Perhaps 2007 will be the year of Plushielove(craft)...
