FA meme thing
Posted 12 years ago1. Why did you join FurAffinity?
I found out there were great artists here and sure enough!
2. What does your username have to do with you?
It's a long story, but fun.
3. What is your current avatar of?
Kesh the cheetah, also known as me!
4. How many watchers do you have, and how many do you watch?
182/130. I'm quite grateful to those that watch me, even if my offerings are just commissions and the very rare story and picture.
5. Do you have more than one account?
No need for one, nope.
6. Name 3 of your favorite artists on FA.
That's just cruel. There are the artists I love because their art is extremely high quality, and those that I love because they're constantly improving. I cannot possibly narrow it to three.
7. What artist do you admire because of their personality?
Again, there are a lot of talents out there and while there are some artists I don't particularily like the personality of, there are too many that I like for different reasons for me to point at one.
8. Do you comment, fave, or both?
More commenting than faving, but I don't do a lot of either and I should do more!
9. What do you typically post on FA?
Commissions, mostly, and the occational story I write or pictures from a wildlife refuge I visit.
10.What's your favorite submission in your gallery?
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10830403/
11. What are the things you wish you could draw better?
I wish I could draw!
12. How many hours a day do you spend on FA?
No more than an hour, usually, as I sift through my messages and comment here and there.
13. Are you a fast, slow, or medium typer?
If I'm inspired? Pretty damn fast. My grammar and spelling suffer, though.
14. What is the most annoying thing people ask you?
If I want to yiff. Yeah, no, I don't work that way.
15. What is the most annoying/offending comment you've received?
Thankfully I've managed to avoid sourness, for the most part. Getting prodded for sex RP does get annoying, though.
16. What/who inspires you?
Good question! I'm still trying to figure that out so I can better exploit it. I will say that I've been highly inspired by artwork a few times in the past.
17. Everyone has considered leaving FA once or twice. Have you? Why?
I flirted with it during the big Weasyl exodus as the drama that caused it was pretty damning, but then I realized that drama was going to be there, and anywhere else I go, regardless, and just shrugged and stuck around.

Posted 12 years agoFursona meme thing that's been going around.
Posted 12 years ago1.) What's your name?
Kesh! Just Kesh, nothing fancy
2.) Do you know why you were named that?
I suppose I ought to know that.... but I do not!
3. What is your status?
Status? Alive, I suppose. Non... dead?
4.) Have any abilities or powers?
I can chirp and run real fast!
5.) Stop being a hornswoggle!
Uuuuh. Okay, I will!
6.) Uh... if you were to get in a fight with a strong wrestler, do you think you'd win?
Sorry, what, I was being a horswoggle.
7.) Riiiight... Have any family members?
Just my mother, whom I've not seen in a long while. I probably had a father, but he was a cheetah.
8.) Oh? How about pets?
I have tried having pets and it just does not work out.
9.) Cool, I guess. Tell me something that you don't like?
Hmmm. I dislike assumptions being made because I am a cat.
10.) Something that you do like?
I like wild things! So much altered and skewed stuff in the world. Anything that came about on its own is good!
11.) Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do?
I have this garden I take care of, but... probably best to not get into that.
12.) Have you ever gone through pain yourself?
Has anyone not? I've had my fair share of pain, oh yes.
13.) Ever had a strange dream before?
In the garden, the dreams are most bizarre.
14.) What kind of animal are you?
African Cheetah
15.) Your worst habits?
Forgetting about the social graces and acting naturally in public. Apparently that's a bad thing to some.
16.) Do you have a favorite artist you look up to anyone at all?
Artists are awesome! I admire their skill and can hardly pick a favorite!
17.) Gay, straight, or bi?
Meh! Everyone has their appealing factors and their non-appealing factors. I do not prescribe to any one preference, only that I like fuzzy animals that aren't urgent to jam something into me.
18.) Do you currently attend college?
College? Goodness, that is a marvelous concept. I cannot fathom why I would want to do that.
19.) Ever wanna get married one day?
I have had a mate a few times in the past and it has yet to go well for me, so I do not aim to find a permanent partner but instead seek to find those I simply wish to share company with as often as I can.
20.) Do you have any fangirls/fanboys?
I suppose that is possible, there are those that go bonkers when I am around, but none seem to follow me around, so probably just nice animals that like me.
21.) What are you most afraid of?
Really dark places kinda creep me out. Never know what might be there!
22.)What colour is your hair?
Hair? My fur is golden, black, and white in places!
23.) Eyes?
A question I can quickly answer! Golden!
24.) What do you usually wear?
I dislike clothing. It gets in the way, and hides my fur from view, which is my finest asset! My fur hides all the stuff most wear it to cover anyway, so why bother? If it is needed for some reason then I will don a labcoat or robe, or even put on costumes sometimes, but otherwise... meh!
25.)What's your religion?
What, really? I'm a feline! I do not worry about such things.
26.)Do you wish this quiz is over?
It is not already over? Aaawe.
27.) Well, it's still not over.
Hey, come back! I did not get to show you my spots yet!
28.) Anyways, where do you live?
See this spot? It is my favorite

This spot here is my second favorite, but it-.. what? Class? I told you, I do not go to college!
30.) How many friends do you have?
Uuuhm. Some, lots, and none at all! There is no one I go to constantly, but many I converse with now and then, and a lot that I will butt heads with once in awhile.
31.) If you could change anything about you, what would you change?
Hummm.. I suppose my tail could stand to be a little bit longer, slinkier, and fluffier.
32.) What are your thoughts on pie?
Pie is lovely. I like pie.
33.) Alright. What's your favourite food?
I had caviar once. That was fun to eat!
34.) Favorite drink?
Meh! Water suits me fine when I am thirsty. Fizzy, sweep, bitter, and hot drinks all just make my tongue feel huge and that is never a good thing with cat tongues!
35.) What is your favorite place?
The place I am currently at, at all times! I do like the garden, but not all the time.
36.) Least favorite?
Any place where I have to wear clothing for some silly reason. Feh!
37.) Are you still wanting the quiz to end?
Did I ever want it to end?
38.) Well, it's over you bonkerballs!
I take exception to that! Bonkerballs are what makes being a cheetah fun! Pbbbbt. Go away you silly thing.
Kesh! Just Kesh, nothing fancy
2.) Do you know why you were named that?

Haven't figured out the exact case and cooler yet, but those parts are on order and should be here by next weekend. Yay.
Reason being that I started a new job and I've been in sad need of an upgrade as most new stuff I have to run at all low settings and a couple games simply don't run playably.
So. Yay. I love building computers.

Posted 13 years agoJust realizes that last journal has been sitting there awhile and things really have improved since I wrote it.
I'm back in Oregon, most of my frustrations have subsides, and while I'm still job hunting, I've been having a lot of inspiration for my writing, and will be writing another book soon.
Thank you to those that have been kind to me.

Things I am grateful for
Posted 13 years agoFirst, a rant.
I moved to Texas one year ago tomorrow. I came here because I was sick of feeling stuck, broke, unwanted, and lonely.
Now, I'm stuck, broke, unwanted, and lonely in Texas. I moved here to be with a man that had professed his love to me and wanted me to move in with him, something I struggled terribly to accept. Ultimately, I took too long to accept it, and our relationship flat-lined after I'd signed a one-year lease with him and the woman that adores him. Yes, looking back, I realize just how fucked up a decision it was to share a house with those two. It was a decision I made out of nievity and the poorly thought-out notion that I could befriend someone that saw me only as competition and totally missed the signs that the relationship I thought existed was actually already gone.
Secondly, I've spent the last 15 years trying to find a niche for myself as a computer technician/builder, but every time I find myself in a spot where I'm actually doing things I love doing (Building, repairing, and setting up PCs), the time in it is brief and no further opportunities arise there. Now, my job is to wander around hospitals and find employees that haven't setup their passwords for a new interface, read them a script for 5 minutes, then go on to the next. It's boring, tedious, and totally humiliating to my skills and talents. I'm having to borrow, beg, and pawn things off to survive until my first paycheck, which I'm not at all excited about receiving.
The one thing I can get passionate about: Creative writing, is a dead-end. One does not become an author and expect to live off it. I am stuck in a career that I no longer have any passion for, which saps my energy to do what I actually do love to do.
And so, I write the things I actually am grateful for, in hopes I don't lose my mind.
My online friends:
Swiftpaw,
ruaidri,
Shiro-Kitsune
The girl that I may well fall for, yet still need to meet and touch in-person to know for sure: Mandy
My relatively good health. Not perfect, but I've lacked insurance for over a year and have not needed it any.
My being in a country that's mostly safe from random violence.
My connection to the Internet, which lets me see and experience so much
My car, though it may also be a point of frustration since the Check Engine light continues to come on and I'm past due for state inspection, it's proven well worth it's $2000 price tag
The art I've collected over the years
My family, whom I know will catch me should I fall as hard as it feels I may in the next few days
My computer, which continues to function like a champ and handle 99% of what I throw at it(Damn you Just Cause 2), despite being over two years old and a laptop.
My bed, which I do not at all regret spending $900 on as a good night's sleep (even if it must be 75+ degrees to save energy bill $) is priceless
There, I think that's enough. I should be a happy and content person now.

Anyone want short story commissions?
Posted 13 years agoEconomic hardship, ahoy!
I should be able to get by okay in my current situation, but I find that I may need to supplement my income to cover any unexpected expenses.
So, I thought, perhaps, I could try offering myself out for short story commissions!
I'm not sure what to charge or what I ought to offer in terms of length and content, so, this is more of an inquiry to see if anyone would be interested in borrowing my writing skills.
I've got a few stories uploaded that should, I hope, display my ability, and I've even written a 250 page novel that I'd be willing to share, as well.

2011 meme
Posted 14 years ago2011 Meme
1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Moved to a different state than my immediate family
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I did not mae any resolutions for this year as I've learned I cannot make any that I can keep.
3. How will you be spending New Year's Eve?
Partying with my immediate family and some extended family with fireworks.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, but have lost touch with a couple.
5. What countries did you visit?
None this year, though it felt it, moving from wet, cool Oregon to dry, hot Texas.
6. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
Motivation and positives results from my decisions.
7. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Septermber 14th, the day I started writing my book
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Finishing my first full length novel. It still has editing to do before I can get it published, but it's almost there.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Altering my life in the most dramatic way I ever have done and then ending up, more or less, in the exact same state I started in.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I seriously contemplated suicide, which did serious damage to my self esteem. Thankfully, I never carried it out. Unfortunately I avoided it by making the aforementioned major change which didn't pan out.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My bed, which was a splurge to make my uncomfortable living situation more bearable. It certainly helped.
12. Where did most of your money go?
Rent, mostly.
13. What song will always remind you of 2011?
Love Me Dead - Ludo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0XH3.....pI&ob=av3e
Equal parts insanity, passion, heartbreak, being exploited, and determination
14. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Critical thinking and listening to what I really wanted
15. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Doing things for the good of others that harmed me
16. What was your favorite TV program?
Chopped, for lack of anything else that caught my attention
17. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I refuse to hate any person. I loathe their actions sometimes, but those can be forgiven. There are those that I once trusted, which I no longer trust, but that's not hate.
18. What was the best book you read?
I'd say 'my book', but that's too selfish. I greatly enjoyed Pillars of the Earth, and since it, and its sequel, are the only new books I've read this year, I'll go with that.
19. What was your greatest musical discovery?
"The Humbling River" - Puscifer
20. What was your favorite film of this year?
Puss in Boots as great, as was Rise of the Planet of the Apes. However, Lion King was released in 3D (Which I felt was done quite well as it was quite subtle), so that wins by default
21. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Turned 31, had dinner with my parents, who were visiting Texas at the time.
22. What kept you sane?
Writing my book
23. Who did you miss?
I miss Carl Sagan, Mark Twain, Martin Luther King and other people who spoke their mind publicly on subjects that most people disagreed with for flawed reasons.
24. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011:
That faith in myself is more important than anything.
Seeking inspiration
Posted 14 years agoI've concluded I need to write more.
Anyone out there have a general story-line idea that they'd like to see a story written on?
I'm not at all opposed to kinky subject matter, but definitely want to focus more on my character development and environmental detail skills.

Posted 14 years agoWell, been getting a lot of attention lately thanks to Ruaidri's totally unexpected request art. I'm quite honored to be the choice out of such a large crowd!
To all that have added me to their follow list I say "hello and thank you!"
As I'm employed again as of next Monday I'll be able to get back into my hobby of commission collecting, so, if anyone is, or knows an artist willing to draw a cheetah and her various exploits, let me know!
I'll also be sitting down and gathering up the various story ideas I've had over the years and start posting them here as they flow from my paws.
Chirp chirp!
