Life Update/More Word Vomit

As everyone here knows, I have multiple disabilities which make it difficult and sometimes impossible for me to go to work and function as a normal human being. Well it finally happened. I have finally been fired as a result of my disabilities.
TL;DR: It wasn't my fault but HR told me to get fucked and I was fired on 06/03.
Long version:
I was on FMLA, which is job protection that allows me to miss up to 12 weeks of work in a given calendar year. Last year, I used all that time. My FMLA case ended in 02/2019, when I was supposed to have the case renewed for another year. I moved on 12/15/2018. There have only ever been 2 addresses on file for my FMLA benefits. The 2 addresses are my current address and my mom's address. I reported my new address when I moved, because I was afraid of documents not getting to me. (Foreshadowing)
I knew my renewal paperwork should be on the way, so I called MetLife about my FMLA (this was in 01/2019) and they told me the documents were sent and I should get them soon, and basically to not call them again because they can't help me further than telling me they've been sent. Boy that's reassuring.
Well in late 02/2019, I received some lovely paperwork telling me that my case had been closed due to failure to turn in the renewal paperwork which I never got.
I was annoyed, but I had ADAAA to cover 4 days worth of absences per month so I thought I should be okay.
Well I wasn't okay. I got hit with a bad episode which lasted 3 weeks.
So I called to get a new FMLA case (which I had been told I needed, since my old case closed "due to my own negligence" AAAHHAHAHA) and waited for the documentation in the mail.
My boss called me about a week later to tell me my FMLA case was denied.
Why?
Because I had missed too much work within the past 12 months.
That's right.
I used the FMLA I was granted, and that made it impossible for me to get a new case approved because I used the allowed time off.
So my FMLA job protection was gone.
I asked my boss what the fuck do I do now, she said to ask ADAAA to cover the other absences.
They refused. It was too many absences for them to cover.
So I just wasn't allowed to miss work anymore.
KEEP IN MIND when I passed out at work, I was FORCED to go home because I was a liability if I stayed at work while passing out. If I didn't go home, that would be insubordination and I could have been fired for that.
Yeah here's the thing, being told "oh you can't miss work" doesn't make your disabilities go away.
At my job you got 3 warnings whenever you had an issue that needed to be addressed.
1 verbal, 1 written, and 1 final warning.
Each day I missed got me a warning.
After I had my final warning, I got SENT HOME for passing out and my boss said a request for my termination had to be turned in, but that she would talk to our new bitch boss lady (who hated me already) and try to get her to let me stay.
Bitch boss lady said no get fucked, and HR approved the request for my termination.
I got the call 06/03/19 while I was home passing out, that I had been fired and that I needed to come collect my things from my desk and turn in my badge.
I have since then turned in my badge and collected my things, applied for Medicaid, applied for unemployment (which has been approved, thankfully), and applied to other jobs and work-at-home things.
Anyway.
Because of this, I am now trying to make voice acting a full-time job for myself.
I do SFW and NSFW VA work, my rate is $3.00 per minute of recorded audio (I do not charge per line like most VAs do)

Since I've lost my job, I've also lost my insurance which pays for my treatments and life-saving medications. So that's fun. I applied for Medicaid as I mentioned but I know not all of my needs will be met with Medicaid.

This is SUPER quick turnaround, like within 24 hours from contacting me initially
RULES:
1. Sonic-type characters are PREFERRED. I CAN do anthro style characters in my style, but it doesn't look as good as Sonic-style. I will NOT draw humans.
2. YES I will do commissions of my characters (Kay http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20001889/ , Robaccia http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18803247/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22927901/ , and Jazzmyne http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27579667/ ) involved with your characters, that is fine.
3. Commissions are traditional (hand-drawn on paper) ONLY.
4. Fetishes I am NOT okay with drawing: scat, watersports, rape, inflation, nipple-fucking, size play, and hyper-style. If you have another fetish you're concerned I might not draw, feel free to note me and ask if it's allowed. I'm open to pretty much everything else I can think of at the moment (yuri/yaoi, futanari, BDSM, pregnancy, etc) but there might be some I'm forgetting. If you have a question just ask, I won't judge.

In the time that I've been gone I've moved into my own place and I got engaged <3
My hair is also purple now lol
My physical health has not been great, I had to put in a new disability claim at work (because the old one was put in wrong or something, idk really) and likely won't hear back about that for at least 4 months so that's fun
I'm pretty happy overall with my new life though
I love my family and still live pretty close to them but it was time for me to move on and be a real adult lol
Bills suck but everyone knows that, we're getting by though
But anyway as you can see from the 6+ month jump between this and my last post, I'm not really on here much anymore. This community is kind of toxic and honestly I'd rather just be on discord with my close friends
I don't even really see a point in uploading art on here because it'll get like 2 faves and maybe 3 comments if I'm lucky? And I'd rather spend that energy on discord, idk
Just letting y'all know how I'm doing

So let's talk
A week ago today I got cheated on and dumped
You guys know who my ex is
He's still on here
But PLEASE do not go after him (or his girlfriend) and cause trouble
That doesn't help anyone, and it certainly doesn't help me.
Is this related, or not? Who knows
If you guys know of anyone who is in an abusive relationship, please make sure you're there for them. You most likely won't be able to talk them out of the relationship, but you need to be there for them. People in abusive relationships don't think like normal people. Normal people can sit and rack their brains for days over something someone in an abusive relationship said or did, and it will never make sense. Especially when they KNOW they're being abused. I've been there, and it's awful. There's nothing any outside party can say or do to change your mind, you just have to snap out of it on your own and hopefully it won't be too late by the time you come to your senses.
I was there for you last time, I'll be here for you this time. You'll get through this again. I'll be there to pick up the pieces. You know I'll never leave.

If you force your significant other to cut their best friend(s) out of their life, you're fucking disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself. How insecure and immature can you be? You feel like you have to control who they talk to. That's so sad. If your love really can't compare to anyone else's, what are you afraid of?

Something horribly traumatic happened to me within the week.
I won't talk about it on here. If you're a close friend you already know what's happened,
I'm still recovering.
I will likely be recovering for a very long time.
The timing of it all is very unfortunate.
But, things happen for a reason.
I wish I would have known.
I wish I could have stopped it.
I still haven't been back to work.
This is the 6th week.
I have turned back to MFC/CB (camming) for the time being so that I can pay for my incoming medical bills, as well as regular bills.
I would gladly do commissions for money instead, but people are not interested in them.
I hope to not have to do MFC/CB for long, because I hate it.
I want to go back to my job.
I'm still horribly sick.
I was put on azathioprine, which is an immunosuppressant.
The medication I was on previously, mesalamine, did not work at all and I got 2x worse within a month.
If immunosuppressants don't work, I have to bump up to IV medications which cost $10k+/dose.
I hope that doesn't happen, but who knows.
The immunosuppressant makes it so that if I get a cold, I could die.
I'll likely just be very sick for a long time, but I could die.
And that scares me.
I'm terrified.
I try and act like I'm not, but I am.
I'm so scared.
And I'm alone now.
Because my boyfriend, who was also my best friend and my world, left me.
I still love him, of course.

I'm disappointed.
I'm hurt.
I'm scared.
I'm lonely.
I'm desperate.

Currently waiting on some blood work to come back so I can be put on a certain type of medication, or not
In the meantime I am on a 50 day prednisone regimen which fucking sucks lol

In less great news...
I think it was August of 2017 I started showing symptoms of ulcerative colitis.
It's a pretty gross condition, you can look it up because I don't want to make anyone sick talking about it lol
It has pretty much wrecked my life and it sucks really bad. I saw a doctor in early November of 2017 but my insurance wasn't accepted pretty much anywhere, so I had to wait until 2018 started to get anything actually done. Unfortunately though, my doctor has been out of the country since the middle of December of 2017 and will not be back until the end of February 2018, so I STILL can't get anything done.
The ulcerative colitis itself is annoying enough, but it brought on an absolutely debilitating disease...
called erythema nodosum.
Erythema nodosum is this condition where your body literally wants to kill itself, so your immune system wreaks havoc on your body. The way that this havoc is best seen is via huge, red, hot, incredibly painful patches all over your legs from the knees-down and around other joints.
It makes it very painful to walk, impossible to shave, annoying to put clothes on, etc. I honestly can't even explain how bad it hurts. I've had to move down from my room upstairs to the living room downstairs because it is flat out unbearable to go up stairs.
The pain has literally brought me to tears many, many times.
No Aleve, Tylenol, Advil, etc helps at all. I have to take 3 different pills just to help me get to sleep because the pain is so intense it would keep me up all night otherwise.
To counteract the symptoms of the erythema nodosum and improve my quality of life while my doctor is gone, I have been taking prednisone which is a steroid.
This is good, because it stops the erythema nodosum from ruining my life and it helps me feel normal again.
This is bad, because it is a steroid and long-term use of it can seriously damage my internal organs and even lead to kidney failure. Super.
The combination of erythema nodosum and ulcerative colitis has also jump-started my depression because again, my body literally wants to kill itself. Kind of bums you out, you know?
BUT! Aside from that, I'm honestly pretty happy lol
I honestly don't have that much art to dump on you guys since I've been gone, which is kind of weird but I guess I didn't draw nearly as much as I thought I did
But, I am going to be active again and I will do an art dump in just a minute

Posted 8 years agoSo I got to spend a whole week with my boyfriend, from 02/12-02/19. He left yesterday.
I was fine until it was time to go to bed the night before. I cried into his chest, and didn't say anything. We didn't need to say what we knew already.
I was fine until we got to the airport. I was actually fine inside the airport, until the security line was in my eyesight. Then I lost it. No. I can't lose him again. I need more time. It's not fair. I love him. He's mine.
I realized about 3 seconds after he passed the threshold that in my state of panic and grief I forgot to say "I love you too"
I frantically texted it to him. I felt so awful.
I didn't stop crying the whole way home. The hour and a half it took to drive home, I cried. I kept the radio off. I played with the idea of running off the road. What if I never get to see him again? What if I lose him? What if that was it?
But then I remembered I have nothing to worry about.
It's like he said, it's not goodbye. It's see you later.
I will see him later. In 95 days, if anyone is counting...
Next time might be the last time we have to separate. I don't know. I hope so.
I'm so ready to be with him forever, I'm so, so ready to say "goodnight" instead of "goodbye"
Sleeping alone, without my personal "white noise machine," (he snores) feels so different. Driving to and from work alone, in the quiet, feels so different. Showering alone, without his arms around my shoulders and without his warmth, feels so different.
Not constantly laughing feels so different.
My everyday life is so quiet without him, and I hate it.
He constantly pushed my buttons, and sometimes I'd yell at him. But I miss having him here.

So I used to be an avid World of Warcraft player when I was with Brandon since he's the one that got me into it, and made me his healer (bastard)
But once we broke up I lost interest in it since I didn't have anyone to play with anymore, and everyone in our guild hated me (he had seniority over me so they took his side)
So I stopped playing and after like 2 years of inactivity I have created a new account and I'm downloading it right now
I'm not going to buy the most recent expac because fuck that lmao
But yeah anyways my battle.net name is Tempty96, North America, can't remember which realm I used to be on but when I see the name I'll remember it and I'll update this journal
I'll definitely be going with a Draenei since they're my favorite race, can't decide which class I want to be though

Posted 9 years agoYeah yeah I'm late to the party. I needed time to process this before I could give my thoughts. As a bisexual, atheist, rape victim, woman who works in the public assistance office, you can guess my stance.
I think we all lost. I think even people who voted for Trump have lost, and here's why.
People who voted for Trump, or are even just happy Hillary lost without being actual Trump "supporters" are now faced with the emotions of the other side(s).
I damn near dumped my boyfriend because of some of the things he said when Trump won.
I am livid.
The hypocrisy is what kills me the most. Why are we not allowed to chant "not my president" when we have listened to 8 years of it towards Obama? Why are WE the "whiny crybabies" when white, republican, Christian, straight people are the ones who cry the LOUDEST when their "rights" (such as the apparent right to Christianity being the only religion that matters, and the apparent right to not being challenged on their beliefs) when we are ACTUALLY going to lose our rights?
Yes we are angry. Damn straight we are. 8 transgender people (and honestly that number has probably changed) committed suicide out of fear and desperation. There are women having their hijabs RIPPED off of them. People are spray-painting "die nigger" and "white pride" on vehicles belonging to people of color. People are having racial slurs CARVED into their lockers.
Even IF Trump doesn't stand for racist, misogynistic, homophobic, xenophobic, or ableist ideals, you need to realize that there must be a HUGE miscommunication for such a large number of his supporters to think he does.
No, burning the American flag is not right. But you're not going to tell me, a born and raised American citizen, to "just leave" due to me being outraged.
I don't hate Trump supporters. My own mother is one of them. What I hate is when they turn a blind eye to everything that goes on, muttering "just a couple of bad apples..." because it isn't just a couple. It is a frightening amount.
People are going to flee the country because they are SCARED.
If you don't understand why they are scared, please count your blessings.
If Hillary had won, people would be upset and there would still be riots, I'm sure. But people wouldn't be committing suicide. People wouldn't be terrified to leave their houses.
I fear for my own life partially because of my job. Trump is not a fan of public assistance (the old "moochers off the system" talk) and that affects my job. People are angry enough with how little public assistance they can receive and how hard they have to work to get it. I cannot imagine what will happen when the program cuts come. I and many of my colleagues across the country will probably die.
Say what you want about Hillary, but she didn't want to take anything from you (except MAYBE your guns, which is what Obama said and.. oh, wait you all still have guns. Whoops.)

My Grandfather
Posted 9 years agoYesterday at about 7 PM my mother informed me that my grandfather, her father, had passed away.
He was found by my mom's brother who visited him every few days. He was in bed, he had died in his sleep.
We were going to go visit him today.
He was only 71 years old. I say only, though I know tons of people don't live to be that old.
He hadn't been doing very well for several years. He drank beer all day every day, and smoked like a chimney. He didn't trust doctors, and had had a heart attack and didn't go to the hospital a few years ago. My mom brought him medication, because that was the only way he would get it for himself.
He and my grandma divorced about 10 years ago.
When I was about 3 years old, my parents got divorced. My mom had to work to provide for us, so I spent a lot of time at their house. They raised me for a few years.
There were always stray cats coming by and becoming their pets, and I think I got my love for cats from them.
My grandpa was crass and had a very crude sense of humor, which I loved.
He called me Sugar Bean, which I still don't understand but never questioned.
We lived 20 minutes away and hardly ever visited. That is the hardest thing for me to deal with. The guilt is the worst part.
He hardly ever left the house, and that's just how he liked it. He had friends, of course.
His neighbor, Doug, was his best friend. Doug had a beautiful wolf dog named Gypsy, and I loved that dog. Gypsy died a few years ago. She was a beautiful dog.
My grandpa did a lot of handiwork and was in his shed most of the time I was there. He liked to listen to police scanners. He was in the Navy. He loved gardening, and would always have buckets and buckets of cherry tomatoes, which are still my favorite snack.
He had a Maine Coon named MawMaw, who he loved dearly. She died a few years ago when he accidentally backed over her. She was asleep behind his back tire, and he didn't see her. Everyone was devastated.
A few years later another Maine Coon, although she was a mix, came to the house. Her name was Molly. I don't know if he still had Molly.
He will never meet my boyfriend who I hope I will marry someday. He didn't even get to hear about me getting a job. Never again will we come visit him and listen to his stories.
There's a lot of family drama. My mom's brother's wife caused a huge shitstorm back in '99, and it broke the family apart. I don't have any memory at all of my Uncle John or Aunt Marybeth. None whatsoever. My mom hasn't seen them (willingly) since then. She has seen him at the grocery store occasionally, but they never spoke. And now their father is dead.
I don't even know if he had a will. I'm guessing he didn't, because he doesn't seem like he would. My mom's brother is technically the next of kin, I believe. I don't want him to be in charge.
I'm sorry for rambling, I just... I have so many thoughts.
