Posted 15 years agoIs in two days... though in a sense it feels that with every passing birthday, it gets less and less exciting to see the day come around. Is it just me or am I really starting to get old?
Before anyone older comes in and tries to put me in my place, don't. <3 I've been through a lot to consider myself older than my actual age. We all may suffer differently, but we still suffer. But such is life! We suffer, fight and come out victorious.
Victorious? Well yes. With every lost battle, we come out victorious. The experience is more than worth it's weight and you can't really loose when you've gained knowledge. For the longest time, I've gone through my fair share of lost battles, experiences I'll take to heart and use for future reference. There's nothing more satisfying than saying "Oh! I'm familiar with this because I've done this in the past!"
For the past few days I've had a few interesting dreams... kinda like one of those slideshows people play at weddings that nobody pays attention to showing old photos and videos of past experiences, except in my dreams I see strange mirrored images of Grey and other character's I've made over my own image. Throughout my years, the characters I've created often mimic my own personality in some way, shape or form. Very few have been made purely out of another purpose, which of course makes me very attached to them, but also makes them a bit more meaningful than a character simply made to model an outfit, weapon or armor I've created.
I ramble...
Anyway, I've seen my characters in my dreams. Call me crazy, I know, but it was rather nostalgic. I've also had strange nightmares where I've seen each one succumb to some sort of crippling injury that has to do with hindering their ability to fight. If you're not familiar with me by now, all of the characters I've created, in a certain way, shape or form, can fight and use some sort of weaponry, because it feels natural to me. To have characters that can defend themselves, to fight and protect the ones they love and cherish. In the nightmares, if they wielded blades or weapons, their arms were removed...
If they were martial artists, their memories were erased...
If they had any sort of mechanical weapon, they all rusted away and became deplorable...
If they used firearms, the weapons wouldn't work and constantly jammed...
If they wielded magic, their knowledge of it was stripped...
They were left incapable of protecting the ones they loved, and most of them had succumbed to their debilitating fate... Except for Grey. In a sense he was able to tap into the very source of his power, his ability to draw energy from his body and release it in any manner he saw fit to the situation helped him and everyone around him. He was able to draw his energy and infused it into everyone around him.
Weapons regained their luster and functionality...
Memories were returned...
Knowledge long collected had reformed...
Everything was back to normal... but Grey had almost given up his life. Everyone had used their abilities to protect him. Suddenly monsters showed up and began to attack them, black, formless, devilish creatures that slashed at their bodies with their umbral claws; screeches and shrills of the dammed that ripped through their ears and rendered them dizzy with anxiety and paranoia; eyes able to burrow through their souls meant to shatter their sanity and resolve; they were creatures meant for the soul purpose of overloading the senses and violently destroying their physical being to consume their very soul and trap them for an eternity in a hell designed to house tortured and tormented spirits for the rest of eternity and beyond.
They all fought with their lives. Everyone used the power bestowed by Grey to protect him. His friends, even his family had showed up and all had contributed their power, their ability, their compassion for their friends to help defeat this seemingly endless army. For every monster cut down and destroyed, two more replaced them. It continued and continued, one by one, everyone started to fall. Though the monsters entrapped their bodies in a veil of decay. Wrapped in their bodies, they started to decay. Their senses failed, their memories fragmented and destroyed, their bodies swiftly decomposing, all while they were kept alive by the malicious energy, meant to suffer through a thousand deaths.
They screamed, though their cries of pain were muffled by the shroud that had overtaken them. Nobody could hear each other, but one monster had formed over Grey and acted like a dome, closing his senses to the outside world. He was left in a sphere of perpetual darkness, floating in what felt like negative space. Suddenly and slowly, one by one, the echoing cries of his friends who were sworn to protect him started to flood into the empty space. They grew louder and started to overlap. Their cries of pain, hatred, fear, anxiety, insanity, those heartsinking feelings, those gutwrenching sensations began jabbing at him, drilling into his skull. Images flashed before his eyes of his friends, suffering, dying. He closed his eyes, they remained. They would not go away and instead grew in intensity. He saw them all, dying, and could only scream for them, reach for them and grasp at nothing.
They were the only things he was allowed to hear and he was meant to suffer through them...
It wouldn't stop. It kept getting louder, and louder. He clawed at his ears, leaving bloody trails through his fur and flesh. His claws dug right down to his skull, and still the sounds persisted. Gotten louder, more intense, like someone was turning up the sound of an amplifier to 9... 10... 11... 12... and continued....
... suddenly, a piercing ray of light burst through the monsters shrouding everyone. One by one, suddenly, all of you guys showed up. Everyone clad in their finest armor and strongest weapons, falling from the sky, hellbent on revenge. One by one, you all displayed your courage and power, destroying monsters left and right, mowing them down with little effort. Your resolve was absolute, your mind was focused and directed with righteous wrath. Everything was destroyed in your wake. Monsters tried to attack you, but before they could move, they were cut down by your blade...
...by your magic...
...by your hand.
One by one, you all freed my characters, storming through the legions of formless entities, demolishing their ranks and dwindling them down to almost nothing.
The effects were nulled. They were merely illusionary, meant to destroy the senses and leave them mindless husks to be consumed. They soon regained consciousness, everything returning to normal. You all gathered up the remaining characters, getting them back on their feet.
Though you all noticed that the dome surrounding Grey was still up. You all poured in your energy, your effort, your ability to destroy it and succeeded.
...
... but Grey was lost.
Nothing was left of him. He was empty. Eyes were soul-less and white. His body was withered. His energy faded... gone.
He was dead.
There was nothing anybody could do.
Then, one by one, the characters you all saved stepped forward. They started to shine like a brilliant light, fading into whisps to flow and spiral around Grey and sank into his body. With each spirit that fell into him, his body was replenished. His energy returned, his body formed again and he was returned to normal. His eyes grew color, but his lids faded shut. Silence. Moments passed and nothing happened. Grey appeared normal but he was still unresponsive.
You walked in and placed your hand up, closing your eyes, offering just a small portion of your energy and with a pulse, extracted it and watched it float over and meld into Grey.
Everyone did, and donated what they could of their spirit, their energy, to him. Essence poured into his body from all of you...
With a sigh of relief, his eyes slowly opened.
... and then I woke up.

I charge a flat rate for 1-2 characters.
Extra characters are charged depending on level of complexity. If it's a nude or with minimal clothing? Usually it's a small fee depending on how much content is asked of me to draw.
If there's a high amount of detail asked of me, the price will rise to account for the extra time I need to put into the picture.
Basically rates are flat and leave extra prices to be dealt with if a commissioner asks for anything extravagant enough to warrant an increase in price.

These are set prices. Some prices are subject to change after info is given and ideas are discussed based on content requested.
You discuss what you would like in the picture after we've reached an agreement about what you would like drawn. I sketch out your idea based on your criteria and show you the progress upon request.
Payment is to be made before a piece is started. After the sketch is shown and has commissioner's approval, I will continue with the inking and further edits during this time may require additional payments depending on progress already made.
Once inked, I will show progress and post if commissioner is willing. Coloring phase can be shown in different steps if requested. Background, flat colors, then shading. Afterwards, the finished piece will be posted and linked to you in a note.

Things to consider...
Posted 15 years ago As I touch up and continue with the last remaining leg of my current commissions, I often stop to wonder what I should do with the free time I get after I finish.
Apart from working on some personal projects and taking a few more commissions, I might want to start taking a list of requests, trades and possible collabs to get some of that creative process flowin.
Ideas will come to me and might be posted. I might start pumping out some low priced sketch works, thinking about trade ideas and might form up a list of ideas on my mind which is full up on... ideas... and such. :D

1 – Do you and your "fursona" look alike?
~ Nope. He was once everything I wanted to be, and now is somewhat everything I am on the inside after I've grown and matured and became more familiar with myself.
2 – Do you and your "fursona" share attires?
~ If I had the body, yes I would be wearing those kinds of clothes. :p
3 – Do you share the same sexuality as your fursona?
~ Mmhmm. Bisexual with no preference.
4 – If you hadn’t already made your fursona look like you, if you were to change how he/she looked like to make him/her look more like you, how would you think he/she would look like?
~ Same height, a little heavier, brown fur with black hair. Chocolate Grey instead of Vanilla. :p
5 – Did you work hard to develop your fursona? What is the (brief) history of your fursona?
~ Moooore than anyone knows. Brief history? (lolbrief)
Born and raised near Hokaido with his brother and sister, Rei and May. Tripplets. Grey trained under his father, Archimedes, supervision in the martial arts and taught the ways of Aikido and Kenjutsu along with his brother. Sister was trained secretly by his mother, Lillith. Raiders attacked the village they lived in, killed and pillaged everything in sight. His mother and father were killed defending them, allowing the siblings to escape, but they were separated at the tender ages of 11 respectively between the three. Grey became a wanderer, Rei was picked up by a mercenary and May was discovered by a troupe of ninja. Each were trained further, Grey trained alone, Rei was taught by the merc and May was taught by the shinobi. Around the age of 17 they had all but almost found each other, but were systematically flung into the future (or present day) by an unknown diety.
(If you've watched Samurai Jack, then you pretty much get the jist of this story)
Long story short (too late) they grew up and found each other though almost 16 years later. Grey eventually learns how to time travel utilizing the powerful energy his father left in the No-Dachi that Grey holds on his back and has since became a guardian of time, traveling to different parts of the past to change the course of our dimension, and others, martyring himself to better the flow of time and eliminating/subduing spirits, monsters or people with evil intent to destroy the fabric of reality.
This however has a demanding toll on his mental and physical being. Every jump to and fro in time super accelerates his age indefinitely. It's unknown as to his true age, though he has utilized his reiatsu, or spiritual pressure, to maintain his age at a specific level, appearing around his late twenties/early thirties. Considering, he can manipulate his physical appearance in any way he chooses, preferring to take the appearance of a trimmed and slimmed physique not very complimentary to his life as a fighter to deceive those he fights.
Yes. That was the -brief- explanation.
6 – Do you and your fursona share relationship status?
~In a sense yes, though because he's a fictional character, it's always subject to change based on my preference.
7 – Do you find yourself jealous or upset if you get paired with someone you don’t like or your partner does?
~I'm unsure of this question, but if you mean in a relationship, personally, maybe a little but not in any kind of debilitating manner. Human nature is hard to overcome, anyway. My persona? No. Though he is jealous of those who don't have to carry such a heavy burden of mending and protecting the fabric of reality.
8 – How would you like your character not to be used?
~ It's a very picky subject, but paired with others is only to consent and deliberation. Nothing too "hardcore" and a preference to softcore, casual and/or teasing. He's a very shy individual alike myself anyway!
9 – What’s your fursona’s specialty?
~ The ability to bring a stable peace of mind to those he's around.
10 – At a score of 1-10 how much are you and your fursona alike?
~ Roughly 8. He's the spiritual and physical representation of who I am on the inside even though he doesn't look a thing like me.

Hey there folks. Sorry for the sudden disappearance,
but some important stuff went down recently.
Family issues are balancing very strangely. They won't seem to end but hopefully they will soon.
Computer's power supply is making so many more noises that it's considered
a hazard to keep it running for even a few minutes at a time to make important updates.
I'm making this update on my sister's laptop for the time being, and afterwards I'll
hopefully have access to other means.
I'll hopefully have a -very- promising job opportunity to become an IT. It's sudden, I'll
receive training and be paid double minimum wage. I'll finally be able to pay
off my debts, get a new car, fix all of the issues that can be fixed with money and
get some more time for drawing and art.
Speaking of...
Commissions will kick back up shortly. I haven't forgotten about you guys! I just need to transfer my work to a friend's laptop so i can finish that all up. I deeply apologize for the
unexpected downtime.

Before I pass out for a second time, I'm going to put up a little update for you guys.
I apologize for my absence and lack of posting artwork. I've unfortunately had little time to
do so lately. Lots of things are picking up with the family. I can't go into details but let's just
say a lawyer is needed. Other than that, spending much needed time with the 'good' family
I have left, sorting out issues with school and work and how much I desperately need both.
I have been working on the commissions in line, and haven't forgotten about all of you guys
and your wonderful patronage. I would love to personally thank each and every one of you for
your watches, favs and comments, though after a while it becomes a little tedious and robotic
when I can't think of much to say other than "thanks for the watch". You can only say it so many
times before it becomes a cookie cutter process.
Anyway, I ramble. As far as trying to catch me online, it's sporadic unfortunately, though I will try
my hardest to get back to your messages in a timely manner. If I don't, then please don't let
that discourage you. I'm not ignoring you! I just have a lot on my plate right now and it's
a teeeensy bit stressful.
I'm not asking for forgiveness, though your continued patience and patronage is greatly
appreciated and acknowledged! Please take care and I hope to share more of my artwork
very soon!

FCN was pretty b1tchn. Saw a lot of people, met a bunch of em, most I haven't gotten their
information or names, but that's just normal for someone so forgetful like me.
OH WELL. Another day, or perhaps someone will remember my backasswords name and go

AH WELL. Great times had by all, and I've learned a valuable lesson. When a lion is face down on
the ground, screaming and whining for 47 crab rangoons because he's dying of hunger, it's always
appropriate to laugh at his misfortune for drinking way too much before ordering his food for him.

that I'll have attended in a long while, and as I'm unsure as to who might be there, I'll be attending
and arriving sometime Friday.
If anyone else is going and knows who I am, maybe you'll see me around. Being an elusive fuck
means ya might catch a glimpse of me before it's too late.

Posted 16 years ago4.3 Earthquake in Virgil, IL. Felt the aftershock for 5 seconds. Happened roughly 30 minutes ago. I thought it was a low flying helicopter... until my phone almost vibrated off the counter. Turned on the news, sure enough, earthquate in Virgil and I felt the aftershock...
