Ok my mind just imploded.
Posted 13 years agoWhere I work there is a patch of gravel between the guard shack and a speed limit sign that is about 40 or so feet long and wide enough for people to park their cars safely.
When I arrived there a lot of vehicles parked on the gravel(it's were we guards are suppose to park) so I took the only spot which was next to the sign, leaving a 5-6ft gap between me and it.
Later on in the night the rest of the vehicles left leaving only mine on the gravel, around 3am a car pulls up, thinking it's an employee I step out to sign her/him in. I see the car stop then try and back into the spot between my vehicle and the sign, mind you there was 30ft or so of space between my car and the guard shack.
The driver stops trying(can only assume she didn't want to hit anything), gets out and heads towards me.
this is how the conversation went
Her: Will you move your car, you've taken up all the room!
Me: *giving her the "Are you mentally retarded?" stare* Um no, there is plenty of space for you to park on the other side.
Her: No! Move your car so I can park!
Me: *still giving the stare* Ma'am, I am not going to move my vehicle a few feet when there is plenty of space for you.
Her: My husband is the Supervisor of Maintenance, I'll just call him and he'll have you move!
Me: you do that ma'am.
She steps outside and not 2 minutes later the phone in the shack rings.
Me: Guard Shack
Husband: Why won't you give my wife room to park!?
Me: *pretty sure I felt a blood vessel in my eye pop here* Sir your wife has more than enough room, she just wants to park where my car is parked.
Husband: JUST MOVE YOUR DAMN CAR!!!!
Me: *have had enough* NO! I'm not gonna move my car because your wife wants her way. *hang up*
Just to be safe I went outside and took a picture of the space making sure to get both my car and the guard shack in the shot. Guess what? It paid off because I got a call from my boss regarding a complaint that was just made.
Sent the pic to my boss and he said he'd take care of it.
Seriously wtf!? It's the middle of the night in a small town, traffic is never bad enough for someone to demand a good parking spot during those conditions.
I woke up with a bad headache this morning, the one I have right now caused by those two makes the first feel like A GOD DAMNED TICKLE!!!!!!

Yesterday was just not my day
Posted 13 years agoStarted Sunday when it stormed like hell and I had to go outside and bring in one of the cats, got soaked to the bone and then got the big "F U" from mother nature because as soon as I got the cat in the house the rain lightened up.
Arrived at work work at 7pm and did my whole 12hr shift, nothing happened until 7am when my boss never showed up to relieve me. Called him twice and never got a reply, 8am he finally calls and says his alarm never went off and he'd right, 9am he shows up and...forgot the paychecks at the house so he takes off to go get them, gets back at 10am. So my 12hr shift turned into a 15hr shift.
Began driving home, after 3min or so I hit the highway and...my van completely stalls out. so I had to get over on the shoulder and call a tow truck to take me to Mathews Ford, told me it was gonna be an Hr and a half wait for the truck so I sat in van that entire time with no AC and the occasional breeze to keep me cool.
Tow truck arrive a little later than was quoted, everything is hooked up and he head to Mathews, there I decide I've had enough with the van and talk to a sales man about doing a trade-in, as frustrated as I've been with the van I'd have gladly taken a car from 1994 just for the sake it worked.
Sales man is unable to take my info(other than my number) because there are 2 people ahead of me and asked that i call back around 3pm. So I sat in the waiting room where I didn't have to wait very long for their shuttle driver to show up and take me home.
Once home I decide that I might as well head to the bank, cash my check and do some needed shopping. Summer heat made me sweat a lot but I could keep it out of my eyes so i survived. The trip from my house to the grocery store and post office is about a 7-8 block trip(this info is important for later.), at the store I just got a few needed items for house.
At the post office I walked in only to find the area where the clerks usually are completely blocked, since I was able to walk I know they weren't closed plus the sign said 9am-5pm and it was only 12:30. Assuming they were on their lunch break I sat down and waited, lady walks and comments on the place looking closed and I make the mistake of talking to her about how I think their on lunch. Why was that a mistake? Because shortly after she goes into a screaming fit about how I was trying to steal her purse, she then begins screaming people who aren't even there which just freaks me out more than I originally was.
After 30min the clerks show up, I buy my stamps(the whole reason I was there) and head out for home. Outside the sky is looking gloomy but there's no thunder or lighting so I wasn't too worried. Walking passed the Save Alot(which is in the same area as the post office) the whole area is hit with an instant heavy down pour, I head into Save Alot hoping to buy some big bags to keeps my purchases dry.
With my stuff stuffed in 2 bags and tied tightly I headed out into the storm and trekked the 7-blocks back, rain never lightened up and I was completely soaked to the bone when i finally got inside.
I've heard/read it many times growing up but yesterday I finally understood what Garfield meant when he said "I hate Mondays."

What kind do you like and what kind do you hate?
I like LPs where the player sounds enthusiastic and not boring when playing. Also I like it when they give a bit of Trivia on the game, get to learn something relevant to my interests while I watch.
There are many things that can make an LP unwatchable for me but there the 1 thing that'll make me stop the vid within seconds of starting...is the camera in front of the TV. I hate when people do that, the picture is always horrible and for some reason the camera is usually at some weird angle.

Inquiring help for setting up for a Let"s Play
Posted 13 years agoBeen trying to do a Let's Play for a while now but can never seem to get things hooked up right or something.
Read I dunno how many tutorials on how everything is to hook up but still never get it right.
So help will be appreciated especially if it's a link to a video with step by step instructions.
Below I'll list everything I have and how I've been hooking it all up, if you can spot the mistake please tell me.
Mixer: Stanton M.203
Y Cables: x3
AV Cables: x3
Switcher
EZGrabber2
Mic: Can go in mixer or comp.
I plug the console into Slot 1 of the Switcher, then i plug the Y Cables into the Output.
I then take AVCable 1 and plug one end into the corresponding plugs of the Y Cables, I plug the other end into the TV
With AVCable 2 I plug one end into the remaining spots of the Y Cables, I plug the Red and White on the other end into the Master plugs of the Mixer and the Yellow in the EZGrabber2.
With AVCable 3 I put the Red and White of the frist end into the EZGrabber and the other RED & White into the REC of the Mixer.
When I try recording I get picture but I either hear the game or myself on the mic, never both.
Getting really frustrated by this.

Posted 13 years agoAnd holy crap was that server full of pandas, I expected it to be like that but still...damn. The sheer about of players caused such bad lag that it took almost 2hrs just to get to lvl5, half the time it was because I'd try to attack an enemy and find out another player was already fighting, in fact the player had already killed it and I'd be punching a corpse for 15-30sec.
I have to say that the animations for the Pandarians are just amazing, typed in "/silly" then zoomed in on my toon and was surprised to see his mouth forming the words instead of the jaw just bobbing up and down.
After hitting lvl5 i couldn't stand the lag any longer so I ended up making a Blood Elf Monk so I could find out what other abilities the Monks could get and see what they look like in action.
Looking forward to what other changes/additions I'll come across.

Heck I was all but shivering when I was in the room with the first boss and I hadn't even encountered it yet. All I could hear when I entered the room was an eerie raspy whisper of someone going "Maaaaaaayyyyyyyddddaaaaaaayyyyyyy" while banging on the other side of a chained up door, the further I got from the door to explore the more terrified I became thinking the door was gonna suddenly burst open.
Thank you Capcom for bring back the horror.

Too many dead people are back in this movie.
Michelle Rodriguez is back as Rain Ocampo, problem is Rain died at the end of the 1st movie...with a gunshot to the head...as a zombie.
Oded Fehr is back as Carlos Oliveira who died near the end of the 3rd movie being in the center of a massive explosion.
Shawn Roberts is back as Albert Wesker who died at the end of the 4th movie. Ok i might be willing to let this one slide considering Wesker did have a habit of showing up after people thought him dead in the games.
Colin Salmon is back as James One Shade who died back in the first movie near the beginning by getting lasered into many many cubes.
...I AM SO CONFUSED RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unless they're only in for flashbacks I can under stand but that's gonna be a hell of a stretch.
Also Ada Wong, Barry Burton and Leon Kennedy finally get a spot in the live action movies.
I plan on seeing this movie in theaters to find out why my brain had to be raped so viciously.

Yes it's still a run and gun type but the elements of horror are back so people should stop their bitching...they won't but I am an optimist.
Getting to play as Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield and...some guy who looks an awful lot like Nathon Hale from Resistance Fall of Man.
I do hope the character playthroughs are like RE2, where you played through each characters story one at a time.
Let's not forget the game has CITIES FULL OF ZOMBIES!!!!!!!!!!!! ZOMBIES, not plaga or the like, FUCKING ZOMBIES!!!*Squees like a girl*

Silent Hill: Book of Memories
Posted 14 years agoIt's a dungeon crawler with Silent Hill monsters in it...also multiplayer...also not a psycological horror.
Why even bother with the SH title? From what I can tell you create your own character, find a book that has his/her entire life written in it and changes made to the book cause changes in your life. How the fuck is that a Silent Hill? Every SH game has always been some form of Phsycological Horror that made the characters a lot deeper than you think at first glance. Why change what works so well dammit?
Oh and Pyramidhead is in it too...I really wish they would just stop with Pyramidhead, he belongs in Silent Hill 2 and only Silent Hill 2, stop with the damn fanservice.

Posted 14 years agoIgnoring the furry aspect of the game I'm curious as to why so many people on FA are making such a big deal about getting a copy of it.
I bought a copy last night, it is fun but nothing to go ballistic over. Was it originally not gonna be released outside of Japan? Were only a limited number of copies released? Is it an ultra rare title?
I would seriously like to know because I am quite confused by the way people are acting towards it.

Scratch buying DC Universe
Posted 14 years agoSince it's gonna be free to play soon the hard copies have had a recall. Oh guess I'll just wait for it to be available for download.
So instead of DC Universe I ended up buying Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, it's really a pretty good game; gets challenging rather quickly and every level has multiple goals to achieve.
It's also fun switching out characters at anytime without having to pause or locate a device that will allow it, sadly I got the 3DS version so I can only swap 2 characters but I've heard the PS3/360/Wii versions aren't limited in the number of swaps.
The gameplay is easy to get into and is pretty fluid with the movements, levels have multiple routes to get to the end which is always fun and my favorite is that some areas in levels literally become a cluster fuck of attacks/dodges/jumps/tons of enemies/deadly environments/time limits all at the same time...which is so freaking awesome.
Since you can play your game on multiple platforms I'm most likely going to pick up a PS3 copy of the game, mainly just for the bigger screen play.
1 thing I really love about the 3DS copy is that it comes with the Dark Spyro figure X3
So instead of DC Universe I ended up buying Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, it's really a pretty good game; gets challenging rather quickly and every level has multiple goals to achieve.
It's also fun switching out characters at anytime without having to pause or locate a device that will allow it, sadly I got the 3DS version so I can only swap 2 characters but I've heard the PS3/360/Wii versions aren't limited in the number of swaps.
The gameplay is easy to get into and is pretty fluid with the movements, levels have multiple routes to get to the end which is always fun and my favorite is that some areas in levels literally become a cluster fuck of attacks/dodges/jumps/tons of enemies/deadly environments/time limits all at the same time...which is so freaking awesome.
Since you can play your game on multiple platforms I'm most likely going to pick up a PS3 copy of the game, mainly just for the bigger screen play.

Haven't decided if I'm gonna hero or villain yet.
Also just for the sake of current events, who sqeeed when Blizzard announced the Pandarian race finally becoming available in WoW?
What surprised me most was that both factions get to have the pandas, which makes me wonder; Will you choose to be a Pandarian from the Horde and Alliance character creation or will they have their own little box where create your character and while running around lvling in the beginning spots you eventually get to choose which side you wanna join?
Also adding this just to prevent "that" conversation from starting. The Pandarian race are not a blatant ripoff of Kung Fu Panda, they have been around since Warcraft 3 so if anything Kung Fu Panda is a ripoff of them.
