Just to clear some things up.

Despite the change in my username, my fursona is still Pyro and and i will continue to go by that.
However, If you decide to call me by my current username (i've gotten everything from stupidshepherd to stupid, to shep so far in the brief time i've had it on other accounts) I'm fine with that too. The name change was merely for account consistency and not much else aside from that. (also i hate having numbers at the end of my name)

Sup people that read journals! Just wanted to apologize for my lack of activity these past few months (days? weeks? i have no sense of time XD) school is getting crazy with finals and especially now that I have to completely redo one since my files went ahead and decided to corrupt themselves. 'cause of this, I'm probably not gonna post much aside from a silly doodle or two till like may or something if at all. which brings us to another topic!

I may or may not (currently uncecided) be moving accounts. like to keep a consistency with my username and my FA account is not letting me do that (plus the numbers bug me to death!) if this is the case, I will slowly be moving a few things over through out the month and will announce it via journal or submission . Most likely i won't be moving everything and I'll be keeping up all the pictures I've drawn for people so they won't have to go back and re-fave if they want to keep it. I completely lost my train of thought so I'll just end it with something completely unrelated.

I don't know why I started thinking about it but I've been trying to figure out the name of this kid's book for the past several weeks but I haven't gotten anywhere on it. It was one of my favorites when I was little and I'd really like to see it again so if anyone could even so much as point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it.

I don't remember too much of the specifics but I know it was about some guy who decided what the designs in the clouds would be each and every day and that they could pretty much do any design they wanted but they weren't allowed to write names in the clouds. I remember there was something to do with a stamp too but i can't remember the significance of them. anyways long story short, he ends up falling in love with some woman on earth and after making her a really beautiful sunset display in the clouds he ends up writing her name in the sky which leads to him having to give up his position.

That's about all i can remember from the book so I'm sorry if it's not too helpful but I just figured I'd give it a shot and ask you all here since I'm having absolutely no luck anywhere else. I don't know why I feel the need to find this book so badly all of a sudden but i just really really want to. XD

As the title above states, I've got a few questions for my small group of watchers.

First of all, Awhile back I got this here livestream account and though personally I really don't think my stuff is worth watching, I still think it'd be a fun thing to try sometime so if i were to work on something this weekend, would any of you people be interested in tuning in for a bit?

So out of persuasion and sheer boredom I made a formspring account yesterday. Originally it started because several people from the OCT tournament I was in made accounts for their characters and I thought it'd be fun to join in the festivities so I made one for my character that I had entered with, Daiquiri (super flamboyant saluki guy). Then later for funzies I decided to make one for Harlie since he's my current favorite and I thought it'd be rather amusing. So i know this is a little early seeing as i've got two more days to go. but i'm bored and tired of the other journal so imma just move this one here instead.

While i can't say I'm thrilled to be back, things are going pretty decently. I have two 4 hour classes on Monday which kind of sucks but I'll get used to it. Tuesdays are a bit easier seeing as I have morning classes but they aren't too long and after that i have the day to myself and same with Wednesday (only with one four hour class) thursdays are going to be hell though. two morning classes and then a studio class (4 hours) afterwards. my thursdays were pretty much the same before only instead of two morning classes i had one long class. i guess either way it's the same amount of time at school XD however i much rather preferred having two studio classes to three classes. much easier to keep track of for me.

other than that though i have fridays off again so that's nice aaaand my schedule dosen't look too bad! I enjoy the days where i can get everything done in the morning because it leaves me much more time to do fun things in the afternoon.

why just today I rearranged my room and now i have much more space for things :D probably do that room meme thing later when i get everything set up again 'cause i'm realy diggin how it looks XD

anyways i'm rambling because i'm super tired so imma head off to sleep now!

First of all I want to start out and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Whether you're spending it with friends, family, or whoever else, I truly hope it will be a wonderful day for you. That being said, I felt a bit compelled to write a somewhat TL;DR journal this time instead of a generic Christmas wishes Facebook-esque type sentence or my usual strategy of avoiding all forms of writing whatsoever. I won't blame you for not reading so if you want to stop here right now, it's all good! Otherwise I hope you enjoy this as i awkwardly stumble through trying to make sense of my thoughts and feelings. So bear with me if you can whilst i spam your inbox with some most likely pointless stuff you probably already know.

I know this year for a lot of people (myself included), the Christmas season itself has been less than stellar and magical. Whether that's because of the stress from school/college or other reasons, I'm not too sure. Either way though, the feeling is still the same and it's just been making December feel like another month and Christmas feeling like another day. Nevertheless, I feel God sometimes makes stuff happen for a reason and for me, sometimes he has to smack me over the head with a shovel pretty hard to get the point across. This time I think taking away the Christmas hype was just the shovel to the head that i needed.


Sometimes I do believe (at least in my case) we let the commercial excitement of Christmas get to us a bit too much. It's not necessarily a terrible thing and i mean come on, who could blame us? With all that nifty stuff we've always wanted on sale and getting ads shoved in our faces everywhere we look, not to mention the idea of getting free things from people, you've gotta be pretty gosh dern unworldly to resist. And again, that's not a bad thing. Everyone's got that desire for stuff and to say otherwise would probably be really hypocritical. However, perhaps sometimes we let that wanting get the better of us. Instead of being disappointed we didn't get that flashy new gadget we wanted or that new game that everyone has, we should take a moment and be thankful that someone loved and accepted us enough to even buy or make us something in the first place. I think not being able to get into the spirit of things this year helped me see this a bit more clearly. It helped me focus on what was important and helped with being able to tune out the childish expectations. Do I still wish for stuff? Heck yeah I do! I doubt anyone could tune that out completely. The point still remains though.

So before you go to town opening your gifts this year, stop and be thankful for the gifts you already have. Be grateful for the wonderful people in your life. Be grateful for your home. Heck! Be grateful you've lived to see another day. Life's never easy and it can bring you down fast. But as one of my favorite songs says, "You don't have to be happy at all to be happy you're alive." Even if things aren't going the way you want them to in life at the moment, know somewhere out there, there are people who love you and appreciate you and that you are a gift and a blessing to them.

I think my friend got me a little sick. my throat started feeling kinda funny last night and now it's starting to get worse. I wouldn't really classify it as "sore" per-se but it's sure scratchy and it feels like there's some mucus buildup starting. other than that though it's not too bad save for the occasional hot flash or two. I expect it to be gone in a few days though but we'll see.
I suppose i can't complain too much seeing as the person in the elevator i was talking to had mono.

guess that's just college for you though. cramp a bunch of pretty irresponsible people in one building and there's bound to be a lot of sickness spread in the colder months.

First of all, thanks to everyone who put up with my rant yesterday. I really appreciate the comments and suggestions :)

Going to new york tomorrow to wander around a big ass museum and take notes on 50+ different objects then fill out a packet and sketch, take notes on, and write a report on something. This should be interesting, though i'm not looking forward to getting up there. I don't much trust busses anymore.

Is decent enough.

College is going rather smoothly it's actually rather fun in a way. I feel extremely behind everyone else given I never took things too seriously (or as serious as i probably should have) aaaand my Drawing1 class consists of wickedly amazing illustration people. Teacher says my compositions are boring, and i completely agree with him. It was a bit of a downer the first two weeks to hear things like that but I'm glad now that they did. I need a kick in the butt every once and awhile and their criticisms make me wanna try harder. I still can't write worth beans, so i have a good feeling i'm going to get some pretty nasty remarks on my paper when i get my art history exam back but, ah well i'll get used to it eventually.


Other than that, I can't remember what I wanted to say so i'm just gonna leave it at that haha! I think i may switch accounts in the near future though i'm not too certain. (i really dislike having a number behind my name!) what do you think?


NOW HAVE THIS

College is going well at the moment. The dorm however is freezing and when it's windy my window sounds sounds like a large bird is continually crashing into it. At the moment there are drunk people screaming about something outside and every few days i'm woken up between the 4a.m street sweeper. Sounds terrible right? I actually don't think it's too bad. I'd rather be freezing cold than too hot. the window, and the locals are going to take some getting used to but i don't mind the street sweeper.

It's dumb but in a hazy half asleep state, imagination tends to go overboard and make it seem way more crazy and exciting than it actually is. There's also a bus that stops round here every so often. the automated voice is kinda cool and somewhat reminds me of the Combine overwatch lady's voice from HL2. so that's a silly little adventure in itself.

I miss my family and pets very much, but I'm trying to make the most of it and I am having a bit of fun in the process.


aaaaaaaaaaaanyways..... while going through the fridge today i found some cabbage. This somehow led to me and my roommate talking about food and how we should cook more often. (I don't know what they usually eat but my daily meal consists of a granola bar for breakfast and a cup of instant rice for dinner) I personally enjoy cooking (though i don't know if i can do it well) but alas, i don't know a whole lot of recipies! so i wanted to ask you guys.

do any of you have any interesting recipies you're willing to share? preferably that will last a decent amount of time and that DO NOT involve ham/pork/pigs in general (i despise them). but yeah just throw anything out there if you feel like it, it'll be fun!

Today of all days was our senior graduation. I had to take a friend so i left a bit early (i hate waiting for a specific time to leave anyway) showed up to their house and, turns out they were still asleep so after about 5 minutes of relentless knocking on the door they finally answered and i had to wait another half hour or so for them to get ready. normally i wouldn't mind this except i was afraid i'd get yelled at if i was late. so off we go to the school to get ready when it turns out no one else is there yet sooooooooo.......... call the administrator "oh hey btw we didn't tell you but you should show up at 9":30 instead ok bye :>" so breakfast happened and wouldn't you know it everyone having yard sales. i happen to glance over at one and right there hanging on the fence was a way cool fox pelt!
I adore animal skins (love taxidermy and skulls and all that jazz XD) so i turn the car around and drive over there.

"hey how much for that fox?"
"pssssssh...uh i dunno 3 bucks?"

at that point was trying not to spazz at that ridiculously cheap price but to be a bit more fair (but still cheap) i offered them 10. i suppose i could write it off as a graduation/late birthday gift but shoot how could i pass that deal up? XD

anyways back on topic...


showed up, practiced, put on robes (it was pretty funny to me, the girls wore white so it looked like cult robes or something to me. and on today of all days made it all the more humorous) My dad and mom and grandparents all came down so that really made my day :) i can really say that after today i feel a whole bunch more appreciated and i appreciate the people in my lives way more now. I've been truly blessed by each and every one of them and each and every moment leading up to now, good and bad, the Lord has truly blessed me and i'm thankful for all of it.


How's everyone else day been?

-Honestly i never thought this would ever gonna happen but unfortunately i was talked (forced to put it bluntly) to go to prom by a handfull of teachers and friends. so today after school i went out dress shopping with one of my teachers (at my school they're pretty much an adopted family so it really isnt all that out of the ordinary) five minutes in and i actually found one i really liked. it fit quite nicely but i like things a bit spacier than they should be so we shot for a size bigger. none in that style but there was actually a similar one that looked a bit better. needless to say we got that one and it's gotta be the first dress i've ever bought. i really like it. bottom reminds me of a 1920's esque look which i really appreciate :)


this week has really been one of the best weeks i've ever had.
plus, my birthday was yesterday! i got a nifty laptop for college from my parents, [ mapper, thanks a whole bunch :) ] aside from that i got that nifty decal from a friend at school along with another skull for my collection, n new pair of shoes and a really cool keychain! so yes, pretty cool week XD

getting to work with what i owe, it may be a few more days since prom is this weekend and whatever time i have will be dedicated to building a final physics project. last day is tuesday and graduation is next saturday so imma try to have that done between those times :>

Sorry i haven't been extremely active lately. Things have been hard to keep up with with school winding down. People on the road can be really hilarious sometimes, i swear. (no seriously, it's not a rant journal. just a silly driving story)

Today i had one of those "i love everything" moods so on the way back from school today i decided to pick up some coffee for my mom (cause we got this really sweet coffee place near our house). So i get the coffee and get back onto the road. now theres this one light where you can make a right turn on red but you gotta wait for the green arrow people to do their left turn thing into the road first. common sense right? not for some people apparently. chugging along right behind me comes this rather hefty woman sipping on some kind of what appeared to be a mcdonalds shake (not that that's important or anything, just an observation) so the people that have the right of way get their green arrow and start turning onto the road. theres a long line that i really can't squeeze through so i'm sitting there waiting for all of them to go. Apparently Mrs.McDonalds Lady diddnt understand the traffic laws or something however because she's sitting behind me screaming and swearing her head off for me to go whilst there is a wall of cars blocking my path. i have somewhat of a short temper and usually i probably would have gone off on them but watching a lady scream and yell and have a general tantrum because i'm obeying basic traffic and safety laws while sucking down giant heaps of milkshake in between provocatives is just too dern hilarious to get mad at.


Well the cars cleared and i went on with driving without a problem. This lady stayed behind me up till i turned into my neighborhood (most likely going the same way rather than stalking my car, mind you) Judging by the tantrum she threw earlier, i figured she'd probably do the cliche "flip me off while beeping" thing most angry people so often do. Well she did, so i made sure to flash her the biggest dern smile i can sincerely give while waving to her as she drove past. It absolutely cracks me up how politeness pisses people off more than anything else XD

This month has always been pretty decent for me and this year it's starting out pretty good again too. First of which bieng because a friend of mine who was supposedly moving away, has decided to stay here instead and i've had quite a decent amount of time to talk to them lately which really does brighten my day sometimes.
Second reason being that HOLY CRAP I GOT INTO THE COLLEGE I WANTED TO GET IN TO! i got a merit award of $1000 (which i really don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing at all at the moment) but it kinda sucks cause i may have been able to get more since i had finished and was going to try and re submit my portfolio either today or tomorrow. still, any money off is nice.


thats about it for now.

been in the 50's all week i think. I really miss the cold weather i was kinda hoping for at least one nice snowstorm this winter but looks like it all passed over us. such a shame

Happy Valentines Day/Singles Awareness Day/ Whatever you wanna call it.


Honestly i can say that this probably has to be one of my least favorite holidays of the year. Not because of being single, but because from what I've observed from friends/family/whoever it's just a day of hyped up hopes and [for the most part] empty words. It hasta be one of the most ingenious marketing scams ever pushed upon society because it toys so much with people's emotions which really irks me a bit.

However, this year why not try and make it a bit better. Don't have a date? Go hang out with friends or something. Brighten up someone's day. Valentines day is supposedly a day of love. What people seem to overlook is there is more than the lovey-dovey smooshy couple type love. Way back when in grade school i'm sure most of us handed out little paper valentines to our classmates as a silly friendly little gesture so hey, why not do it now too? It may sound a bit ignorant but it's better than moping about ya know?

So this Valentines day, whether you're single, taken, or whatever the heck else is out there, spread some love this valentines day!

i've been pretty inactive both here and DA (mostly DA i guess because i dont bother uploading journals much) aside from the occasional checking what's in my inbox and replying to whatnot.
reason being is i guess school's really been tiring me out lately (it dosen't consume a large portion of my time like it used to at least) i mean i'll get a reasonable amount of sleep going to bed around 11-11:30 (any time earlier and i'd wake up way too early cause i'm wierd like that) but i dont know something about it this year hea really got me wanting nothing more than i nice little nap after school.

no complaints though on that end. school isnt too bad i got to see someone that i havent seen in awhile sometime back early october and that really really made my month XD

other than that in the fee time i have i've just kinda lost the motivation to draw as much as i usually do. i gotta do still lifes for a college portfolio and i gotta get em done soon. i guess this has been a real clog to everything because i really dread starting on these. honestly i dunno what to do and i'm afraid i'm going to fail. i guess this is leading to my lack of wanting to draw anything and has reduced me to silly little Left 4 Dead dooldes at school and androgynous salukis that have offended one or two students at school (though he actually has one or two fans now too. go figure)

i think i'm all caught up on recent requests save for and a long delayed project thingy fer . i also have to upload a sammich for . if i'm missing anyone don't be shy to drop me a note :)
