Posted 6 years agoHave another story in the works but it's been a bit delayed as I was laid off about 6 weeks ago and job hunting. I start at my new position this Wednesday so hopefully as I get acclimated there I'll find more time to write.
Additionally, I've been working on a crafting-type side project for the past 4 months or so (hint, look up Scabrous). Spent a lot of cash and literally poured my blood, sweat and tears into the thing. Setback after setback, but it's coming along nicely and I'll throw a pic or two up here once it's complete (along with a tutorial and a link to Scab's original how-to). Super-excited yet frustrated at how many setbacks I keep running in to.

rp or story
Posted 15 years agoHavent posted anything in a year or two and my creative juices are clogging. Thinkig about dming a rp on a forum somewhere or doing a choose your own adventure with porn in it. Prob the story. Problem is getting people interested. No clue how to do that.
>_>
Posted 17 years agoI'm still around. In more of a lurking role though. Haven't been drawing or writing much lately, just checking FA to see if any of the artists/writers I'm watching have posted anything new. Didn't go to FC this year because of money problems. I was sad. First time I haven't gone since I started going 3 years ago. Ah well.
FC Report
Posted 18 years ago... coming soon. Sorry, I need to catch up on a few things first, then commissions that I got (which look AWESOME by the way) will be up. And I may or may not post a report of my experience at FC '08. It was generally very nice though. ^..^ Have fun everyone.

FC '08 in two days!!!!
Posted 18 years agoIn two days, I'm heading back up with my LA furre friends to do some mad con'ing! Should be great fun.
Also, got some great grades last quarter, so I'm out of the hole, somewhat. This is mostly to get that other journal off my front page LOL.

Whoo HOO!!!!
Posted 18 years agoYeah so um... a few new things to say. My job closed down a few weeks ago, about three weeks before I go back to college. Woulda been nice to close 3 weeks later, when I'm gone, but y'know, -fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinee-... So I didn't work for the last 3 weeks. Also I have a new love interest in my life, a wonderful woman I met on WoW, and I'm really enjoying my time with her. In fact, I may get to see her much sooner than I thought. :3
But the main reason I wanted to finally post something again is that... a few weeks ago, I checked my BMI after having worked out for a few months, and I was officially -barely- 'overweight'. Well, I checked it this morning, and...
*drumroll*
I'm offically HEALTHY!
BOOYAH!
*excited* So yeah, I still have a little more work to do, I need to ditch the last of my mantitties, as well as the bulge I have at my waist still, but God Almighty I've reached a landmark. :D!

Today
Posted 18 years agoToday was fun, it was a short day since we got back really late from Moulin Rouge, and we got up at like noon. The main highlight of the day was that during dinner I had two glasses of wine, so I'm almost/barely drunk at the moment. I think Imma go ahead and drink some of the premixed screwdriver I was able to get too. Might as well get drunk at least once while I'm here. :3
Moulin Rouge
Posted 18 years agoOnly two more days in freaking Europe @_@ Thank you GOD. Moulin Rouge was interesting though. Rather have a nice, warm body to cuddle with, but hey. :P At least I got to see a helluva lot of titty. And some really wierd contortionists. And a LOT of feathers. And real live pythons too. >_> And got some champagne. It was at like freaking midnight though and I sat behind a bunch of people that blocked the hell out of my vision, so I didn't get to truly appreciate it. And I missed the freaking Can-can. Ah well.
Did a little more soul-searching this morning as I was waking up. I feel better-er. :3

Paris
Posted 18 years agoThe Paris apartment sucks so bad in comparison to the London one. Train ride was aight. The dragon gods weren't in my favor though, my sister beat me twice in a row at Three-Dragon Ante.

Update
Posted 18 years ago(A month after summer started...)
Well, almost one month later and I'm updating. My exercise and diet started a week or so after my summer vacation started, and I've been keeping pretty consistent to it. My friends and I have been hanging out assloads, to the point that I'm happy to say that I officially have a social life again. I am, of course, still quite lonely. I haven't had much chance to meet new people, so not much chance to meet anyone I'd be interested in. Even if I did, I don't quite have the cash to go out much. What little money I have is being used for Comic-Con in San Diego in about two weeks, and I barely have enough money for that. My current job doesn't pay much, and I'm just not getting any calls back from places, nor do I think they would hire me if I'm leaving in two weeks for three weeks.
Yup, I said three weeks. See, right after Comic-Con, I'm actually going to Europe for two weeks. London for three days, then Paris for 10 days. ^..^ I'm thinking alcohol, and maybe hitting on some hot European chicks. ;) Anywho... back to um... yeah :P
Oh, on a side note, on the way out from dinner with my family, I happened to notice that Jace, Skant and two of their friends were eating at the same restaurant. ^..^

Happiness
Posted 18 years agoI suppose I should post this before things turn sour again:
I'm happy. For the first time in a long time, I can honestly say that I'm happy. :) I went out with some friends to a sushi place. Mind you, I only really tried sushi about a month ago, and that was only two pieces. This time, I decided I'd go all out. I ordered two dishes of sushi, put the entire bundle of Wasabi they tossed to me and went all out. Every bite I felt like I was burning my sinuses, tongue and stomach.
And it was great.
My friends kept watching my expression, waiting for me to start squirming with how hot it was. :) I wish I could do that more often. Anyways, I had a great time, I felt happy, and I don't want it to go away, though I know it eventually will.
Additionally, I know I haven't posted anything new recently, and I'm actually sitting on a draft of the sequel to "The Travel Pod", so we'll see what I can get done. :)

Update!
Posted 18 years agoTons of stuff better :) Back on my diet and exercise regimen, and I freaking ACED my Linear Algebra midterm this morning. :) Sickness is almost gone and the quarter is nearly over.

Socialness=Bad. :( Lonely Pyros.
WoW=Gear! I have replaced all my Tier 1 Finally! LOL. And my homework and social life suffers. -.- Bad WoW. Bad.

(Extremely Long) Day to Day Grind, My own FC report, And a l
Posted 19 years agoI've been noticing more and more that it's hard for me to stay on task and just concentrate. I've always got to be multitasking at least two things, even if it's just enjoyable stuff, like writing and drawing. The most productive I've been was last night, when I was roleplaying, and doing Linear Algebra at the same time and nothing else. Most of the time, when I try to concentrate, I immediately get distracted into playing some video game or some other crap. Then later, when I get barely any sleep because I stayed up late half doing homework, half playing games, I get pissed at myself for how much time I wasted. I'm trying to get better, force myself to do homework, but most of the time, I just can't seem to concentrate. I'm not quite sure what to do, but until I get it sorted out, I won't be able to truly excel in anything, merely get by. Because of this, I'm able to get my homework done, not get everything right, but get it done. Sadly, I don't actually -learn- the material, so I'm going to get shafted on the midterms starting next week.
Day to day life has been a little substandard. There are small sporadic occasions in which I have interactions with people, and they make me feel a little better. They remind me of times when I had a bunch of friends, and just went out a lot and hung out with them. It reminds me of times when I was social. Nowadays, I go to class, I come back, I play games, I get food with the one good friend I have here, then I come back and play games again, occasionally getting some work done. It's a substandard way to live, and I'm getting tired of it. Sadly, I don't really know how best to get out of it, or even if I could if I knew how.
Oddly enough, it seems that it's not as hard as it at first seems to meet new people. Just this past week, I've had nice experiences on two seperate occasions with girls I didn't really know.
1) The first is this cutey in my English class, we traded compliments about each other's last papers last week during an online email workshop, and this time around, we're in the same group for reviewing each other's first drafts. This time we got to say it face to face, and we just kept complimenting each other's work while downplaying our own. (Hers was -so- much better than mine.) In the meanwhile, she reached out and stroked along my arm a couple of times. It felt nice just to be noticed, or even touched by someone for once. :) I've actually been considering ways to try and ask her if she'd like to grab some lunch or something at some point.
(After writing the second one, I figured I should say here that the girl's name is Brianna, or Bri for short).
2) The second was when I was getting dinner with that one good friend. We were walking down to the on-campus take out burger place (Decent food, though we've both had burgers where the meat was almost completely pink), and we were talking our normal bull. Random laughing talks, something about how the majority of America is lacking in education, etc. But in a more insulting way of course. Then these two girls in line in front of us turn and start chatting with us; or more appropriately, me. My friend kinda just shut up once they started talking to us, but I didn't notice until they'd left. And when they decided to introduce themselves, they introduced themselves to me, not him. And after we ordered, they still were talking with 'us' until they got their food and left. Interesting. I still remember their names too, Rachel and Wendy.
After FC, I've been trying to catch up on some of the work I had left. Thankfully, one of my neighbors is in my Comp Sci class, and he almost did the entire homework for me. I was so tired I was making stupid, horrendous mistakes that I wouldn't have noticed until it was too late. With his help, it was a piece of cake. Sadly, I turned in my Linear Algebra this morning incomplete. Of the three sections, I did the first two quite completely, but the last one was only half complete. I got stuck on the last half of it (the hard questions) late at night, and I just couldn't do it. I got most of my Physics done (due next Monday), the English shouldn't take too long (also due Monday), but the problem is that I have to get started on my Comp Sci for next week too (due Tuesday, but large). Unfortunately for me, there's an on-campus convention all tomorrow: Enigma-Con. Gaming of all kinds, some panels of various things, etc. It'd be fun to go and do something different for a change, as usual, but I do have homework to do. Again, that's if I can concentrate. I haven't yet decided what I'm going to do so far.
I suppose I should actually note what I did at FC. I can't post all too much, since I wasn't a busy bee, and I still don't know too many people in the fandom.
Friday:
Showed up a little later than I could've, but I messed up my flight plans after misremembering what time my last class was on Friday. It turned out it didn't matter all that much, since no panels I wanted to attend were until 11:30 PM (I showed up around 6 PM). But at 11:30 PM, I attended a Dragon Smut panel, led by Kiteless Dragon, formerly Sexydragon. It was GREAT. It was filled to the brim with people, probably a couple dozen, and everyone was being nice and raunchy while artists came up to show off their naughty art on the big screen. The coolest thing was that I got to stand right in the middle of a ton of amazing people and artists, including Skant/Ral (Morrin's good friend who put him up for the weekend), Necrodrone13, Skadjer, Sohjin, and my personal idol (at least art-wise) Syrinoth. It was loads of fun, though there was a creepy fat white guy that was near me that kept making comments to me. >_>
My mate didn't end up showing up until about 12:30 AM. (My parents, who live 15 minutes away, hence saving me hotel fees, set me a curfew for 1 AM). Obviously I wasn't all that happy. I almost considered not coming again the next day, but I decided I didn't want that one night to ruin the experience for me.
Saturday:
I was lucky I decided that actually. I showed up at about 10 AM, ended up calling my mate again, then hung up because I actually didn't feel too much like talking to him. I went around the Dealer's room just a little bit, scoping out the feel for the place. A little bit after, the Second Life panel ended and my mate actually called, asking where I was. I told him, and he showed up, introduced me to Skant/Ral and Zuki. I finally recognized Ral (didn't know he was also known by Skant) from the panel the night before. (He was standing right in front of me but I didn't know who the hell he was). After we chatted with them for a good while, my mate and I went around the room for a while, dropped off our sketchbooks with Lady Foxyglove, then went to get lunch near where I lived.
We ate at Wendy's, then I drove him over to show him the coffee shop that I worked at for 18 months, then the Target I worked at. I finally saw my ex-girlfriend (that I dated for something like a month before I moved to college), hugged her tight (tighter than I ever got from my mate) and chatted with her for a very little bit. At that point, it was around 3:30 PM. My parents were leaving for a baby shower at 4 PM, so I was hoping to show him my home, and my room... and my bed, if you catch my meaning, but he was anxious to get back to the con, so we drove by, I pointed to it from the outside since the 'rents were still home (they didn't want to meet him, so I didn't push it), then drove us back to the con.
We picked up our books from Lady Foxyglove. His art was great, mine was the roughest sketch I've ever seen. However, I thought of a decent rational: The only not-PG thing on his was the penis jutting out, mine had boobies and tailsex. *shrugs* I might end up just drawing it for myself. I then commissioned Miss Susan Van Camp for a Graytone commission that she said to check with her tomorrow morning if she got it done, or she'd ship it to me for free. (She actually still hasn't gotten back to me after I emailed her my shipping address). We then got commissions from Wicked Creatures for custom badges. They're plastic-y sculptures, turn around rate of 4 weeks, supposed to get emailed on Tuesday for details and reference pics. It's now Saturday with no word from them. They also were having a drawing for a free custom bust, and they'd email the winner. Again, no email from them even for my badge so... *shrugs*. We also cruised around looking for prints, got 3 for the price of two from Lady Foxyglove, and the Cliff comics (By David Hopkins (Jack) and Roz Gibson). We then went to the art auction and stayed there till they closed. My mate ended up overspending way too much, and ended up winning something like 4 pieces for $125-ish. After that, we went to the fireplace to meet some others to go to dinner, and found out they left without us.
Mate called them, found out where it was. I drove. I took a wrong turn, then got the right instructions, found them a little late. It was a massive dinner of something like 30 furs, again a bunch of the artists I saw before were there. I also got to meet Orange the Bunny, traded phone numbers with him. The bastards ended up charging us something like $30 tip (for the whole group). I ended up paying $20 for both mine and my mate's meals, including tip. Fucking expensive.
We drove back, went to the Artist's Lounge, where I argued the finer points of Halo lore with a few artists, then left the lovely conversation to keep up with mate so he could find Syrinoth to try and badger him into giving him a free sketch again. While we looked, we ran into his friends that drove him down again, and I had a nice conversation with Eldar the Ferret. I tossed him my AIM and we've chatted a little here and there. Cool guy that one. Mate saw Syrinoth, we ran downstairs, or more appropriately, he ran, we followed. We kinda stood around as he tried to get Syri's attention, then sat down, etc.
The fireplace is a bit of a blur, since that's where I stayed the rest of the night. The other two went off to the dance, mate went to some private artist's thing where they all drew porn, and I hung there, talking with a really nice lady artist named Nova (who happened to Syrinoth's roommate. Being my personal idol's roommate is always a plus :P). I chatted with her for a lot of the night, she told me quite a bit about herself actually, and she gave me a good bit of advice on how to improve my own art. I bought a book she suggested, looked through it... it's long, but it looks credible and usable. (Now to find time to actually start reading it >_<). I did a quick sketch in the back of mate's book (he left it with Ral for another free sketch), then left it with Ral, and left to meet my curfew.
Side note: Before mate left to go to the porn room, he saw that I was kinda just crashed on the ground and made sure I wasn't upset that he was leaving me alone. I wasn't, since he'd spent the whole day with me, it was more upset that I didn't get any affection of any sort from him until just then, when he gave me a lovely snug and a few scritches before he left. That's basically all the love I got that weekend.
Sunday:
My dad stalled me a bit by having me take the car to get an oil change, but I got to the con around 10 AM, waited with mate for Auction place to open so he could buy his art. He bought the stuff, I chatted with Zuki again for a bit, went into the dealer's room to buy two more comics, came out, hung with mate for just a bit more before his ride called. We went out there, loaded his stuff, and just before he left, I made one last attempt. I went for a kiss, and I got a tight-lipped, flinched one before he climbed into the car and drove away. I left soon after.
I went back one last time that evening to try and find Ral so I could get mate's sketchbook and mail it to him. I drove for about half an hour, each way to get to the con (traffic), then wasted about 20 minutes waiting around Jace's table to see if he had it, then left to try and find Ral, found him on the way out, turned out he hadn't finished the sketch and would send it himself, called mate, told him, got no thanks, drove home. Had dinner with the family that I enjoyed a decent amount, packed all my stuff, flew back to my college.
All in all, the two main things I took home with me from FC were the new people I'd met that I'll be trying to keep in contact with, and things I didn't want to see from my mate. I've spoken with him about it.
I suppose I'll toss some final notes here. After FC, I've been doing more art, the first art I've done since starting college, and I'll be posting some up when I get around to it. I've also revamped a few ideas for the massive story that I was thinking up, so I might start on that soon. At this point, I'm getting a bit tired, so I think I'll go ahead and tie things up here. This is, without a doubt, the longest journal post I've ever written in anywhere, so if you made it through all my soul-searching and soul-bearing, I applaud you.
Later all,
Pyros

Later all,
Pyros

Sketch Ideas!
Posted 19 years agoWOONISAH! I just got back from that LOVELY trip to visit my mate, and I have TONS of delicious, (and naughty) sketch ideas that involve him and myself. MRhhhhh... I can't wait to get started. Only thing in my way is the recently released Gears of War *^_^* And Thanksgiving Break, which may either give me a chance to actually -sketch- my ideas, or if my mate visits -me- as I'm hoping will happen, I'll be too busy to do otherwise!
My Mate
Posted 19 years agoI flew down this week to visit my mate of two years for the first time, and he ended up being as wonderful as I thought he would be. The problem is I'm leaving tomorrow night, and I'm extremely worried about missing him. He's gone for most of today starting at his new job, and I started feeling depressed a few minutes after he lfet the house. I don't know how I'm going to handle it tomorrow night.
Coloring -Taking Requests!
Posted 19 years agoI need practice! I'm really proud of the job I did coloring Morrin's badge, so if anyone has any B/W sketches or drawings that they'd like me to try and color, please to send me them and tell me the coloring scheme. ^_^ I won't take credit for anything except the coloring, I hearby swear it. Then again, you can't blame me if the coloring comes out a way you don't like. But please give me something to do! I've been artistically blocked for a while with getting used to college life and all the free time I have!
