I feel like a lot has happened this year. Time feels like it's both agonizingly creeping by each day, yet the weeks blink by like nothing.

Still trying to remain physically active, I'm getting better at pickleball.

Over the course of this month, I've had a lot going on with my job and personal life that has caused me to have to shift around my priorities, resulting in writing getting put on the backburner.

My partner and I eloped, I've been promoted, and the rapid changes have caused me to have a little come a part. I'm working on putting myself back together, booked a therapist and trying to prepare myself to unpack somethings from my past and reevaluate some of my current relationships.

I want to get back to writing, but I have to get back to feeling myself first.

What a year...

So much has happened.

I've journeyed to the other side of the country. Fell in love with the Southwest of the United States.

I've become an uncle, lost my last living grandparent.

My parents have retired and inadvertently got me into pickleball (great cardio)

My company has changed ownership and I'm still working on a few visual novels.

If you're a fan of Tavern of Spear, Flaming Flagon, or Where the Demon Lurks: Kibbilton University, you're keeping up with all my writing as of late.

But wait, there's more!

I'm going to have to give up on the idea that I will over open writing commissions as routine thing. I'm am deeply honored by the offers and will continue to entertain the odd request if it deeply peaks my interests.

I continue to carry a deep passion for writing, but the grind is real. I find it so difficult to be in the mood or be focused to accomplish anything meaningful. So going into next year, I'm going to try a combination of scheduled writing time and adopting the mantra of "A crappy something is better than the perfect nothing"

I have a backlog of stories to complete and I want to again say thanks to everyone tuning in.

Hey everyone, it's been almost a year since I made a journal update post.

Just to sum up my year so far, it's sucked. A lot.

I had to put down my first dog back in May. His health declined rapidly and he could no longer stand on his hind legs. I stayed with him all the way till the end. It tore me up inside to witness that, but he lived a good life. I find peace that he no longer has to suffer.

Shortly afterward, my partner departed on a month long trip across the country that he had planned for over a year. Initially the time alone was nice to grieve in my own way. We've been together over a decade and this was the first time that we've spend extended time away from each other.

Just two weeks ago, a close family member unexpectedly passed away from cancer complications. This is the first time in my adult life having to attend a funeral of a family member. I found this experience to be just as difficult to process.

Anyways, as far as content. I have a couple of other commissions that I've yet to post that I need to finish descriptions and short stories for. The Deers and Deckards VN is coming to an end this year. Kul and I will then focus our attention on the Flaming Flagon game.

I'm still writing for Tavern of Spear, but not as much.

Commissions: I know I've thrown this out a few times but honestly because of how hectic my life can get, writing is still very much a hobby and minor part time job for me. My IRL full time job takes up the majority of all my energy. I'm afraid the outlook for taking commissions this year is not good, but I really appreciate everyone that's reached out to me about it.

For anyone that bothers keeping up with my happenings, I appreciate you taking the time to catch up.

It's been over one year since my last journal entry. I hope everyone that reads this is doing well.

I've not posted much in terms of personal writing and sequels on my current work.

Progress has been slow but not stopped!

Kulplant decided to turn my fan story of one of his Notes of Hearts character into a VN!

Lunch with Ronan
Another VN set in the Notes of Hearts world. This VN, you play as a wolf who goes on a date with his burly rhino coworker.

Heroe of the Minotaurs
This is a teaser of a larger project that is in works with Kulplant. You play as a lost bear warrior who is rescued from death by some very friendly minotaurs.

Deers and Deckards
This is my current large project focus. This multi chapter VN features a Deer protagonist, his best friend, and his best friend's dad. This started as a slice of life dating story but ran wildly off into the horizon to turn into something so much more.

Not quite the end of the year, but I've quietly slipped up to having a thousand watchers on FA.

I cannot say thank you and show my appreciation enough to all of y'all that follow me here.

Current state of affairs:

I know I haven't really posted much lately and I have a small back log of commissioned art to put up.

I have several stories that I've started but yet to finish.

I've received a couple of notes asking if I'm open for commissions and at the moment I am not.
I hope to make some time and open myself for a few short story commissions in November.

I've been working as a part time writer for on their game Tavern of Spear and also for for Notes of Heart.

I worked on the story for a good friend
on their new PG game "Big Cat From Hell" coming soon to Steam.

Between this and my full time job, I'm kept pretty busy, but I want everyone to know I really appreciate every watch and favorite.

This calendar year is finally coming to an end and that usually leads to some reflection of what's happened. Let's just skip that part for now...

I want to say thank you to everyone for their watches and favs. I haven't been able to finish any of the next chapters of my current series, but they will be coming soon! As I've mentioned in a few of my previous posts, I've been exploring different themes and story telling approaches as I try to get myself more creatively motivated and put out more writings.

A note for next year, I may try my hand at writing commissions. Be on the look out if I decide to open up a possible slot for story commissions based between 2-5k words count.

I saw I broke over 500 watchers on FA yesterday, but it comes as a bit of a bitter sweet moment in my life.

My employer has decided my department was no longer sustainable. I was fortunate to have easily move to another position within the company. Still, losing the other coworkers in my department feel like losing an arm and leg...

Enough of my personal woes. I want to thank everyone who took the time to click a button and have my junk(heh) show up on their submissions lists.

Just looked down and saw that I have 400 watchers on FA now (thanks to  nephiclav for number 400).

And on the fourth month and almost fourth day....

I want to say thank you to everyone that takes the time to check out my stuff. I hope to continue to add to my gallery.

I'd like to open this post up for some suggestions of what you would like to see more of in my writings. Please feel free to leave a comment here about themes you'd think I'd be interested in and could take a crack at working into my repertoire.
