Waking early here in Texlandia. Joe and I are going to a Doctor's appointment in a few hours of me writing this. Dunwanna get out today, but it's gotta be done and we're grabbing lunch while out, so there's the upside.

Downside is, I slept like crap last night and my brain isn't firing on all cylinders right now. Ugh, just gotta push through.

Well hey there,

And we have reached August. Somewhat scorched and overheated, but hey we're here. Can ya believe that it's this late in the year already? So much has gone down..but we won't rehash old things. It's in the past. :)

No plans today as far as I can tell. I may fire up stream later depending on how this old bear is feeling. Really dunwanna take too much time away from Twitch and want to get back to visiting my friends.

Hey all,

I know, I'm making this journal at midnight. But, hey it's officially the next day for me.

Had a wonderful time one stream tonight, it's been a great past 3 days. But, gonna be taking a day or two to recover. Body and mind need a little break. I'll be back with more this coming weekend, which may include more coasters, parks and maybe a story time. We'll have to see.

If the past couple streams have been any indication. I've been having a lot of of fun with it. And folks seemed to enjoy it as well. But man, these marathon streams really take it outta ya. I'm wiped today. I am gonna try later to set up and get on again. But we'll see.

Had a couple moments where I had to take an emotional break, cause talk of my Dad came up and I kinda went weepy. I wanna thank and especially for being there to talk to me. Love you guys, more than ya know. <3

Been a couple days since I checked in with y'all. Things have been fairly calm here. I recently did a stream where we did nothing but look at rollercoasters and surf youtube. haha. Was a lot of fun and will be doing more of it cuz, well, I like coasters. ;)

Not much to report today. Joe and I are going out to Pleasanton today. He has an eye appointment and we're gonna grab food and maybe do a bit of shopping.

Weather is still warm here, but thankfully it's not been as humid as it was last week. But that doesn't stop me from having two fans and an AC on me at all times. hehe

Sunday morning and I'm trying to wake up. We had a great time last night, met a couple of new folks and I even managed to win a game. Yay me! hehe.

Hoping that there'll be more games in the future where we can get together. I don't do much socializing outside of the net and home, so it was a nice change of pace. If we can do it a couple times a month, that would be just perfect enough for my introverted self.

Not much going on here, Joe and I are gonna be hanging out later, grabbing some Mexican food right up the road from us. I can't wait, it's tasty stuff. <3

Tomorrow evening, he and I are gonna be going into San Antonio to play Magic and meet some new folks. So that should be a lot of fun as well. It's a trip to get there, since it's like on the other side of the city, but hopefully it will be worth it.

Updates on family things. Yesterday, my half-sister Rebecca reached out to me. As soon as they're able, they'll be sending me a few of Dad's things. And honestly, they really don't need to do that since I was never in their lives. They only knew me as the kid from the first marriage. But it goes to show that family is family no matter what. And I'm gonna treasure each and every last memory that they are willing to share with me.

Now, it's gonna be waterworks for me as soon as I get that package.. no denying that. So... I may be more of a mess than usual..just a warning.

Taking it one day at a time right now. I think I'm doing all right, but every once in awhile my eyes start to get wet again. Thanks to everyone who's been keeping tabs on me and making sure that I'm okay.
Joe's been super through all this, when I found out about Dad, he was there to hold me and let me cry my eyes out on his shoulder.

There's too many of y'all out there that I just wanna hug and hold and let you know that I love and adore each and every one of you.

My father passed away yesterday afternoon at the Salem VA.

I never knew much about him, since he and Mom divorced when I was just a baby. But just a couple years ago, he reached out to me on Facebook and I learned so much. I learned that he remarried, had more kids and I have sisters and brothers.

I honestly don't know what else to say right now... I'm gonna miss him.

I do hope that everyone is well today. It's Saturday and I'm here with no chores to do for once. I took care of all that yesterday. So today, I've no freakin' clue as to what I'm doing. Perhaps game or stream or both. hehe.

I could work on some writing projects that have kinda been put on the back burner since events with my family and home life have somewhat gotten in the way of doing anything creative. It's hard to focus when ya got a million things coming in at you at once. But..as they say, one day at a time.

So y'all got anything planned today? I do hope that involves taking care of yourself, maybe a nice shower, movie, gaming? Get that head in a positive space today..since ya know, the world is kinda burning right now. So my advice, turn off the doomscrolling and focus on you. Okay?

Good morning, kids

It's morning here as I write this..so..yeah.

Anyway, since I'm up at the buttcrack of dawn, I figured I'd put a dent in my laundry and get that done. Wanna finish it before the height of the heat hits us. I'm just thankful that the humidity has gone down as the rain has moved out of our area and things are drying out.

Not much else planned for the day. May get online and do some gaming, may even stream later once my chores are handled. Matt (One of my roommates), fixed the wifi and things are looking buttery smooth. So that's a good thing and I can stream more regularly... as long as I don't let my brain get the better of me. You know how I can be.

Alright, I'm gonna have my coffee, do my laundry and take a shower. But remember, you guys take care of yourselves too. Keep hydrated, eat somethin'. Proud of ya, kiddos.

I personally want to thank everyone for all the kind words and support. Mentally I've been up and down. I've not got word from my Sister yet about Dad..they have him on fluids and carefully monitoring him.

I've been focusing on things to keep my mind off the whole situation. I think I've been preparing for this now for awhile. It's just a matter of when.

For all those that stuck by me in all this, I wanna tell you all that I love you.

My sister Rae just messaged me and Dad is not doing well. He's back at the hospital, he can't get his pills down without choking. They say there may be a cyst and he may have an infection. He's not been eating either..no appetite. Also..and this is the biggie, he's not been able to stay awake. Dad signed a DNR.. so.. yeah, that's a thing I'm prepping for.

It's your Twitch Dad! ;)

I just wanted to thank everyone for supporting me and my weirdness over the years. I know we have had a lot of ups and downs and I know that I've been kinda off again/on again with stuff that I post. And I also thank y'all for your patience as I navigate some things I'm working on. Mostly life and health stuff...

I can be a bit of an odd one, and sometimes I do have a hard time conveying things I wanna say outright. But there's also a part of me that worries I may say the wrong thing. I'm weird like that.

After going into the hospital last month, it just kind put some things into perspective y'know? I will try and do better, and I'm probably just overthinking...I tend to do that.

I wanna say, thanks again for hanging in there with this old, mentally unstable bear. When I call you family, I truly mean it. Aside from my Mom, Joe and Dan...y'all are the ones that help me along, keep me in check, let me vent, let me cry, let me scream. Then also have the muster to tell me when I'm being a dick.

So yeah, my family. My big, weird, glorious, out of this world family...I want to say, I love y'all.
