I woke up not too long ago, had myself a shower and my first cup of coffee. A friend of ours wants to play Magic today and I wanna be ready to go for when she gets here. But man, I am so outta practice with Commander. Heh. Guess I'll just have to smile and take the beatings, cause I have a feeling I'm gonna be way outta my element. I've not updated my decks really since Bloomburrow. Ugh.

Either way, it should be a fun time, I've not seen our friend Kat in awhile and it'll be good to hang-out with her again. <3

So yeah, had to reschedule the doctor appointment to next Monday. Miscommunication is the TL;DR.

Anyway, not much going on here. We had a lot of storms go through last night. Big storms came through, the hardest going through the Austin area. They were having wind gusts of up to 80-90 mph. Some folks even lost power. Fortunately, we were on the outer band of the storms. Most we got were heavy rains and a heck of a light show with the lightning. Was cool, but poor Chip, he was freaked out. Little fella was by my side most of the night.

Rains stopped around 3am. And I was finally able to sleep with the pup buried beneath the comforter. Heh.

Nothing else going on here. I plan on streaming soon, since I'm well past due. I'm glad y'all have been patient with me considering this month has just sucked.

But hey, I'm surviving and living day to day.

Hey Fam,

Good timezone to y'all. I woke up late today, just didn't wanna roll outta bed. Anyways, here's the deal.. leg is doing much better today, swelling is down but I continue to wear the compression socks, since I still get some flare ups. I'll keep doing what I'm doing and hopefully soon, my leg will look normal again.

I think I mentioned before, but I did get the paperwork needed for the Doctors. I have called the clinic, left a voicemail, but haven't heard back yet. Keep fingers crossed for me that I can get all this taken care of soon. heh.

Slowly, I'm getting back into a routine and writing again. Dropped a new Four Kings episode and I'm really proud of this one. <3

Also, there may be Four Kings art in the not too distant future. :)

Okay.. so you may have noticed that I've not been around.

I had to go to the hospital to have blood clots removed from my left leg and was in the hospital for almost 5 days. They have me on blood thinners now. Best case it's only for 3 months, worse case...well, it's the rest of my life.

Upside when they did my labs, they found my Blood Pressure was good and have no diabeetus... so there's that.

I am at home, on the mend, loving on my puppy.

I've been looking at my HW collection. And while most are of the cheaper .99 cent variety. I do have a few that are kinda worth something. And I would hate to part with em. But there's also a part of my brain that says... 'Ed, you need the money.'

I've collected so much, and have gifted quite a bit too. And...sadly I haven't kept track of that.

Hey kids,

The day was stressful as hell. Strong winds and brush fires here. All of us stressed..me worrying about possibly losing everything.. it just got to me. Made a bug-out bag, packed up all my laptop gear and just waited for the signal to evacuate. Fortunately that never happened..but waiting and seeing smoke just a few miles away, truly scared me.

Last time we went through this was back in 2011 when we were still living in Bastrop. Smoke all around and ...well not knowing.

Just glad that the winds finally calmed down and the hard working emergency workers got the fires contained.

But.. like I said, I was just a bundle of nerves. So Joe took me to his room and he snuggled with me to calm me down. Something we haven't really done in awhile...and I will say, I truly needed it. He helped so much and I cannot thank him enough for what he did. Love you Joe.

Anyway, we're safe and sound. I'm gonna go to bed now...

Actually it started last night. I stood up to let the pup out and my head started spinning and I was cold sweating and tingly. Nearly fell on my butt. It hit outta nowhere and I have no clue as to why. Anyway, after the dog came back in, after gathering myself I went to bed.

I woke up the next day feeling, okay-ish. But when I walked back to the main house, it hit again. I had to sit in a chair in the kitchen to try and get my bearings. Fortunately Joe came in and saw me there. He's pretty sure that I had a hypoglycemic episode..big blood sugar drop. He gave me a small sandwich to eat and a Boost drink to help. It did for the most part.

I managed to get the dishes done, then shower, but was still feeling like pure ass. So Joe said to take his bed and get some rest. Turning on the heater and covering me up. So I slept for another 2 hours.. I think. At that point, it was all pretty foggy.

Woke up, feeling a bit better. So I managed to get up and check-in with Joe. He said I did look better, but I should take it easy for the rest of the day. Spent some time just hanging out with him before I finally managed to get back to my camper. Though it was still a bit of a chore, it wasn't as bad as when I walked up to the house in the first place.

First time this has really happened to me, I'm just super glad that Joe was there to help me out.

Anyway, I am doing somewhat better, but I can still kinda feel it. After this episode, I'm taking a good long, hard look at my diet..obviously. Cause this wasn't right at all.

Yeah.. been kinda slow with responses lately. Wanna thank everyone who popped in and commented on the last journal. My body still feels achy, but I think most of the yuck is gone. Should be better by the weekend. Temps are gonna be from the 50s to 70s. I'll be much happier. Heh.

Apologies for not being around much lately. Last couple days I've been dealing with aches, pains and general yuck. Doing better, I blame a lot of it on the sudden winter shift this week. Hey all,

Hope everyone is doing well. Yesterday Joe and I hung out and went to lunch, then I grabbed some Mini Brand things from Walmart...as well as some snack necessities. hehe.
I came home and just spent the rest of the evening watching youtube. But I crashed kinda early. Must be the cold weather.

Anyway, I've got no real plans for today.. maybe stream later depending on how I'm feeling. We'll just wait and see.

Woke up and as soon as I stepped outside to let the dog out I immediately wanted to dive back under the comforter. So yeah.. Texas is getting it's winter. No snow yet, but they say we have a chance come Thursday that we may see some of the white stuff. Joy.. ugh.

Anyway, doing my best to stay warm. Chip is being smart and staying buried under the covers. Much smarter than his Dad that's for sure.

Last couple days of decent weather before that cold front moves in. Gonna hitting some freezing temps. Glad I have that heater and new new comforter for me and Chip. According to the weather, they're predicting that we won't have ANYTHING like we did back in 2021 when we got shut down. Freezing rain and snow, loosing power for a week... ugh. Me no want repeat of that. hehe.

Anyway.. I do hope y'all are keeping warm. I offer digital hugs to help with that. Hehe.
