Where's the Rada?
Posted 10 years agoHere's the short of it:
I got a job. I now work at a casino as an attendant, and I'm not around as much as I'd like.
Here's the long version:
For a long time I've been looking for work. Where I live there's little opportunity. Most the places around here only hire people that have connections, as small towns tend to have tight knit groups of people who know each other. As I've only been living here in upstate NY for a handful of years and spend most of it at home out in farmlands surfing the internet, I didn't have a chance to meet many people around here. As such, I've had to extend my search for work. I now work at a Casino owned by an American Indian Reservation that gives me full time hours and benefits, so yay *fweet*. Unfortunately, the commute for me is an hour long, and that's just to the parking lot. From there I have to ride one of the employee buses that cycle through the lot every five to ten minutes to get to the building. Because of that I have to make some extra time as that last bit can be unpredictable, and I don't want to show up late. Giving myself a half hour due to bus transit, my workday of 8 hours, and the commute, I spend 11 hours a day away from home.In other words, I don't have a lot of time here when you factor in sleep and such. I don't spend that time drawing unfortunately... My art lately has been in the form of pencil sketches I keep in a tiny notebook that I can keep in my pocket at work.
I'll be honest. I don't particularly like the job, but it pays. Now that I'm working though, I really want to just quit my job and work on commissions instead. I honestly feel that if I could focus on it, I could get lots of decent quality work done. I just don't know if I'd have the support for it to be a sustainable source of revenue. To be even more honest, I feel the general lack of comments I get on my works are very disheartening. I know it's just because I don't have the history many artists do, and I want to overcome that over time.
I guess to summarize, I'm sorry I'm not around to draw lately. I hope to come back soon, and I hope when I do I come back strongly.

Found the pen, will be resuming on my commissions tonight
Posted 10 years agoI've had a very rough week. Some bad things have happened, I've gotten sick, and I lost my pen to my tablet. At least my pen has been found, so I'll be resuming commissions and trades and whatnot. That said, I'm still open for commissions if anyone's interested.
Lost my pen
Posted 10 years agoI lost my pen for my Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch tablet. Obviously no pen means no art. No art means I can't do commissions for the time being... I've combed the entire house looking for it, though I fear I may have lost it elsewhere. If that's the case, then I'm kind of screwed, as the only replacements I can find are like $40, and I don't really have any money I can spend... Any suggestions as to what I can do?
Apologies to my commissioners
Posted 10 years agoSomething really bad happened today. I don't know when I'll be able to bring myself to draw again, but I may need some time to myself.
Bondage commission sale!
Posted 10 years agoI'm reducing my prices to an easy price of $20 US. This price will get you a single character full painted picture with a simple background. Extra characters will be $5 a piece. The one limitation is that there must be bondage involved, be it in the form of attire, situation, breathplay, etc.
Examples of quality:

You may drop a comment here for a slot or anything regarding inquiry. Otherwise just drop me a note!
Also, I noticed some people were skeptical if I could even draw average sized furries, as lately I've been working with shorty, chibi-like characters. I assure you it's strictly due to the people I've been drawing for, myself included. I can and will draw different builds.

weird ethical question
Posted 10 years agoSo... In the past I've made people artwork for free just because I wanted friends. Some of these people stuck around, some of them have gone. Some, however, have turned around and hurt me one way or another. I've been debating whether or not to take this work down. On one hand, people have favorited them, and sometimes still do. On the other hand, I feel like there's some bad memories there. So I guess my question is, is it okay for me to be butthurt and take them down, or should I suck it up and leave it there for people to enjoy, including those I may be upset with?
Commissions are OPEN
Posted 11 years agoI will be taking commissions! I'll draw anything from clean to kink, and my information can be found HERE. Drop me a note or comment below, I'll accept either. I'll keep you updated on the progress, and won't ask for payment until you're satisfied with the result.
Commission idea!
Posted 11 years agoYou may have noticed my newest post, but since it's rated as adult I'm guessing there's a few out there who haven't if for no other reason than that.
In any case, basically what I'm presenting is an opportunity to have an Open Canvas session from myself and
Mettle dedicated entirely to you! We would likely livestream it, or perhaps host a skype session. In any case, we'd invite the commissioner into the session to watch and chat whiles we drew, therefore said commissioner's desires of the moment will be met. The quality can be sketchy or refined, the content SFW or adult. The idea here is to basically amass a large selection of images all compiled in one space for the commissioner to do whatever they want with, be it for referential purposes, tell a story, or even just for fun!
So I ask you, my watchers, is there any interest? How much would you be willing to pay for how long?

My comic
Posted 11 years agoI'm sorry to announce that my comic "Along came a Yordle" will not be continuing. People have asked me about it a bit more regularly than I'm comfortable with, so I guess I owe an explanation at least for myself so that I no longer have to answer for it. The comic was something I was doing of my own volition, no payment, no trade or anything, but it was using someone else's character. However, over the past few months I've not really had much contact with said person, and we grew apart. I no longer feel comfortable posting pages of a comic of this person's character, especially when depicting what was supposed to be a somewhat intimate scene.
The comic, and the inspiration for it really meant a lot to me. I'm sad I can't complete it, but that's the way it's going to be. Sorry to those watchers I have that have been so patiently waiting the next page.

Commission information
Posted 11 years agoFirstly, I want to make clear that all prices are negotiable, so if it seems a little out of your range, go ahead and ask me if we can barter a bit.
SKETCH WORK:
These sorts of pictures will be grainy by nature, but I will refine them until they are nearly of linework quality.
Sketch work: $10
Flat color Sketch work: $15
Add a character: +$5
Add a simple background: +$5
Add a complex background: +$10
REFINED ART:
This is my trademark style, a lineless art that uses shading and texture to help distinguish foreground and background elements. These sorts of images take time to do. All of these images will include one character and a simple wash for a background if none is chosen
Base price: $35
Add a character: +$10
Add a simple background: +$5
Add a complex background: +$15
Last option would be an art session for $20 on Open Canvas.
stripedcrocodile and I will open up a session and invite you to watch and chat with us for a couple hours. We'll draw whatever you ask for, though it won't exactly be refined art. This will be more for getting multiple ideas out at once, or help establish a character you want to explore. The $20 will be split evenly between us.
Often times I'll be more likely to accept a commission if it's something I enjoy. As such, here's a list of things likely to get my attention:
Latex
Cuteness
Soft/plushness
Bondage
Cyberpunk
Steampunk
Fantasy
Creative scenery
Art content can be clean or adult. As for adult, I'm not interested in drawing the following:
Hyper
Scat
Watersports
Cub
Transformation
Diaper
Musk
Also, if you want me to use a character or concept from someone else, I'll need to ask permission from their owner.
Lastly, I can also do 3D work using Sculptris. I don't have set prices for it due to the varying degrees of complexity a model can be, but if you're interested, note me and we can discuss it out.
Examples of art and their respective prices:
$10- http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18226235/

New Beginnings
Posted 12 years agoThe start of a new year! With new days there are new beginnings, and sometimes new endings as well. I am going to return to school full time after spending over a year of my life working for Walmart. I'll be glad for that transition at least. I've made and lost some friends, regained some I've been at odds with and dropped some who've hurt me often. I've learned some things about people I cared about, sometimes details I would rather not have known and still some yet that were painful but necessary. I've had some fun moments, and though it's sometimes hard to admit I certainly found reasons to enjoy my time here and there. My collection of possessions has grown marginally, and though I don't exactly desire much in the line of material possession I do find comfort in them. My understanding of Human nature and the way the world turns about its axis as we glide through the infinite universe, finding ourselves while drifting in eternity. Questions answered, leading to more questions and discoveries to be made, innovations to be produced, ideas to be had... All changes as time passes by. Sometimes we forget time's strict agenda of moving forward, age sometimes beating goal, the constraints of time changing our destinations. Another year followed by another year, soon a decade to a millennium. Yet with each passing second, the world is never the same. It's a beautiful, terrible thing to behold.
I've never been one to make new years resolutions. I find comfort in the 'now,' limiting my scope to a minimal scale so that things don't feel so overwhelming. But I've discovered that be living in the 'now' it's easy to forget the 'thens' and 'befores.' It's interesting really... The past and the future do not exist. They are not material things. What's come is gone, what is to come has yet to come. All we know is now, and yet all of now is governed by what is and what will be. everything we know and do is because of the imaginary. So this year, I have a resolution: To press on, to achieve, and to create.
I'm going to draw more. I have been these past weeks. I've been pressing myself to create the art I used to feel so passionately about. No longer will I feel inadequate, I know my art isn't as good as some others, but in order to create the quality that I desire, I must learn through practice and perseverance. So get your inbox ready, Radasus Nailo is ready to art!

Posted 13 years agoI recorded a little video for my town on Furrycraft. We need donations to keep the server running, but unfortunately most of us are low on cash. So, if the server goes down, at least there's this little video:

Question for my watchers
Posted 14 years agoNot that I have many watchers, but I would like to know what people think of my art. Are what few pornographic images I've draw what have drawn some of you in? Are my pencil drawing interesting even without coloration? Do you often ignore my art when it shows up in your new submissions page? What's your favorite piece?
Basically, I'm getting back into the art mood, and though I haven't posted much I AM working on a few things. I'd like to know what direction I should take for future art works. What do you all want to see?

Coming out of the box
Posted 14 years agoAlright, I feel I have some explaining to do. I am into kinky stuff, mostly bondage. Until recently I've been ashamed of it, and hid my artworks behind the name of Rascon. Now, I could really care less of what people think of my sexual deviations, especially knowing just how common it really is. So from now on, I want to actually start using this profile. I have a bunch of artworks that I need to post, a couple request arts I desperately need to complete, a comic to work on. I will do better about leaving comments and clicking that little +add to favorites button, rather than letting things stew because I am dividing my attention. it feels great unshackling myself from pointless worries!
A little poetry type thing.
Posted 15 years agoI don't mind the darkness.
I don't mind the chill night air.
I'm not afraid of what I can't see.
I'm not scared of what I can't hear.
No, I do not fear.
I find solace in solitude.
I spend my nights awake.
I ponder while I'm alone.
There is time for me to take.
There is no one here.
But in my restless nights, I think
of how I spend my days.
I see myself running, and yet
I'm standing still, no paths or ways.
I am missing something.
And though I may shun loneliness,
and scorn the nights alone,
and though I may be climbing,
there's no light in this hole.
I am left with nothing.
I know now what I want.
I know not where to find it.
I am always searching for her,
but love is well disguised.
I don't mind the chill night air.

Experiment series
Posted 15 years agoI finally decided to upload my monstrous creations to FA. I made most of these in under 10 minutes. The reason I drew these was because I wanted to have an experimental release of my artistic side; I seldom knew what it was I was drawing, adding details at random as I went. Another motivation was as a fidgeting device during the more boring classes. I do not want to write details about the monsters themselves; I want that job to be for the viewers. I used my imagination, now use yours.
#7 was admittedly the first, but only in concept design. The version I posted did not come till later. #23 and #13 are my favorites.
