I know I've been pretty inactive here for a few months and that has been because I didn't have a laptop. My previous one got fried or something of that sort, it just stopped starting up. We attempted to save all my files and I'm hoping it worked(haven't fully checked yet) cos I have art and characters I never posted anywhere D: If not I'll redraw!

I got a new laptop and it's taking some getting used to but I'm getting back into digital arts slowly. Working on about 30 stickers of my sona, Razor for telegram cos I've wanted to work on personal stickers forever and finally can XD So although I am arting there won't be anything finished posted for awhile since these stickers will take me some time!

I am still working on suits, I got a total of three projects on my queue that I'm hoping to get through and finish up early this year. A couple friends and I have been trying to find places to live but in our town we are not having the best luck(places are either too pricey or not pet friendly enough, etc..). It's been slowing me down a bit cos of the stress but I'm not gonna focus on it too much unless it's necessary. I've been sick the past several days but I'm just about done with this cold so I am gonna get back to work on suits tomorrow!

2016 is dead(yay) and like everyone else I'm hoping 2017 is a year where things will turn around for me. Aside from moving out officially from my dad's I'm hoping to get myself a dog for the sake of companionship. I've been so depressed and hopeless feeling for years and it's very hard to find outlets that work for me. My friend has told me he thinks I may be bi-polar cos I go in and out of depression phases so much and I can be okay one minute then feeling real miserable the next for no reason. I'm hoping getting a pupper for myself will help occupy my time enough and help me get up off my feet and be more active(I miss walking our family dog who had to be put down years ago). A dog would be like an unofficial therapy pet in a way XD

I have a goal to improve myself this year, in all ways that I can. Whether it be health, art, fighting off my anxieties. Rather than making a list of all the things I want to do as a new years resolution I just decided on one simple but effective one: Just do something about everything. If there is a problem, deal with it, if there's something to say, say if, if there's something that needs to get done, do it. Etc... I tend to bottle things up, dwell on things too much, overthink and stress out about simple things that can be resolved by just speaking up or trying something XD So this year I'm trying my best to keep up with this resolution and it's sorta helped me out so far.

As far as 2017 goals go I do hope to finish my current fursuit queue, move out, get a dog(in the end if I can't, I may adopt an african gray when one is available), make a personal suit for once. I plan on visiting my best online friend, Pachi, this year(he is Don-Pachi on DeviantART and DonPachi1138 on Twitter, go follow)! I want to get more active and lose some weight, I want to pay off my car, get a new phone, start going to doctors and stuff. I put that off cos depression made me stop caring about my mental and physical health. But I know if I'm to get better I gotta do it.

Sorry for the long journal, I meant to post this sorta thing at the very start of 2017 but it's just 100x easier to type it up on my laptop cos otherwise I've just been using an ipod for internet XD

Good news! I will be getting a new laptop later this week and so I'll be arting again soon^^ I don't think I'll open commissions cos I might be getting photoshop again and if so I wanna recreate my old palettes and brushes and get used to it again so if anything I might offer cheap experimental commissions c:

I haven't updated in a while cos I am mostly just active on Twitter since I only use my iPod XD no laptop still. Figured I should post an update journal! Right now I'm still working on suitwork but since there's only three projects left and no deadlines for them I'm gonna start working full time at Walmart. It'll be nice to start making more again!

My suit making plans for 2017 are mostly just finish queue and some personal/friend projects! I will likely mak custom fit costumes for others off my waiting list only x3 so no openings for awhile.

I think that's all really. I'm gonna keep an eye out for new laptops. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to toss them out there! X3 I just need something simple. 15+ in screen. Something that can handle photoshop and overall internet usage and all that. I want to game but I will worry about that MUCH later.

A suitmaker has 25 or so suits on their queue right now.
You commissioned them about 3 years ago.
There are some people on their queue who have been waiting longer than you, some 4 years or more!!
In the past few years since you got your slot, this maker has made a total of 9 pre-mades that they sold.
The pre-mades get done lightning fast from the rates you see the WIP pics posted
Commissions are worked on WAY out of order and randomly instead of making the next project in line start to finish like all other makers do. So you have NO idea who will get their suit next and when anyone will get their suit.
This maker you commissioned even makes random parts or pushes ahead projects that are in much later batches, people who paid their suits off AFTER you.
When a customer of this maker starts communicating to them publically about their suit it's as though this maker 'feels caught' or 'busted' for slacking on commissions and pushes them ahead and gets them done much faster. It's almost as if you, a customer who paid a ton of money and entrusted this costume maker to provide the service you paid for, it's almost as if you HAVE to bug this maker to work on your nearly 3k costume or else you will be waiting and waiting and waiting. Cos it seems your money just gets you the slot, but the service is not guarunteed. The maker works extremely slow on commissions unless they are bugged and you've seen at some point the maker flat out ignores communication with a concerned customer cos they don't wanna hear it from the customer(who is only asking about a progress update, not harassing the maker or anything) when really it's the maker's fault cos they're not that great at keeping up with their queue and communicating what's going on with their customers.

Here is a rough estimate of the maker's productivity the past three years since you got this slot(best I could count up):
As far as I can tell no suits were officially completed in the remainder of 2013.
2014: 11 commissions(1 head, 1 partial, 9 fulls) and 2 pre-made partials
2015: 8 commissions(2 heads, 3 partials, 3 fulls) and 4 pre-made partials
2016 so far: 5 commissions all fulls and 3 pe-made partials

At least 2 of the fulls recently completed were done quicker cos the customers had to pester the maker about them. 2 others were worked on mostly/partially in the previous year so only 3 fulls were made start to finish in this year so far. Not a lot of work has been done this year compared the past years and there's 25 more suits to make. Their productivity slowly drops as pre-mades become a more common thing. It's obvious after the past few years this maker started to favor and prioritize pre-mades and continues to push back people who have been waiting years, some even 4 or more years! Other people on this maker's queue have been contacted and they're just as frustrated or upset about how things are going.

I posted a journal about this maker before but seriously this maker keeps going at it. They posted a journal a bit ago saying they will work better basically but I've seen no improvement. The only GOOD thing this maker can do at this point is give their waiting, frustrated, or hopeless feeling customers some releif and offer those who have waiting a long time the opportunity to get full refunds cos this maker is at fault for this being such a long painful transaction for these poor people!! It's fun dishing out nearly 3k on a high quality animal costume, obviously their customers do not feel bad about that!! But what does leave a bad feeling is being pushed aside like the amount you paid means nothing cos your character isn't exciting or something. Or that your payment is so old it doesn't feel like providing better service for that payment is essential or necessary. That's just what I think might be what the maker feels or thinks after all I have observed.

I dunno this maker has been slowly more and more disappointing over the years. Which is upsetting cos I really wanted to get something from them. I just feel extra bad for their customers, cos everyone is a bit too afraid to say something cos if this maker decided to cancel them they'd lose a lot of money from the deposit and that's not right to leave people waiting then screw them over when they start saying something about it.

Any suggestions on what might be done to convince this maker to either 1. work better on commissions or 2. offer long waiting customers FULL refunds?? I'm not on their queue but I know of people who are and I've watched this maker and if I can I want to be of help to the people who are just waiting and waiting :C

I won't name the maker of course but if anyone wants to know who it is so you know not to commission them in the future feel free to note me! It just feels lame when you think about it, spending nearly 3k on something and watch as you get pushed back all the time when you could've had something from almost any other maker way faster. At the rate this maker has been going, if it's steady to how they've been working now, I estimate you won't get this suit you commissioned(3 years ago right now) for another 1.5-2 years. 1.5 if they actually work on commissions in order. 2 or more if they make a lot more pre-mades and push later batches ahead of you still.

I don't think this maker is a bad person and their skill and quality is outstanding. But the way they operate their queue and what gets worked on when and how fast, that's where the problem is at! :C

So I'm kinda stuck with fursuit work til the end of this year but once my fursuit queue is all completed I will be trying to do more art!! Sunday at work I was super tired and my friend linked me an informational website page on this but what I experienced was called "micro-sleeping". Basically I lost conciousness for literally a few seconds(and I was at work) and along with it I hillucinated.

So before I tell the funny(and embarassing) part of the story a little background:
I work starting at 4am at wlamart. I cannot sleep properly at home cos my dad is up sometimes til I have to go to work blasting games, tv, whatever. I've struggles A LOT with sleeping in this house and I hate it. It's torture trying to sleep here. At night, during the day, whenever. And I have an issue with sleeping where I naturally just sleep about 12 hrs. In order to sleep a decent amount before I have t oget up and get ready for work I'd need to be ASLEEP by 5-7ish. My dad works out in the basement(where my room is at) and in the past I was told my room doens't count as a room cos it's in the basement, etc..

long story short there is ZERO respect for me as a human being here especially when it comes to getting sleep. SO everynight before work I stay up. By the time I go to bed the night after work I've been up at least 36hrs. Like last night I was up 38 before I went to bed. Just how it is ;w; SIGH

Anyway so at work I was in an area where the bread vendors keep their stuff. I was picking items from the steele in that area to stock it on the floor. I don't remember anything from this to the hillucinating part, like I blacked out or something. But when I sorta 'woke up' again I was a few feet away from where I was working and I was like.. seeing that I was in my old workplace, petland. And I saw two little mice in a tank or box or something and I went to pet them and the one I pet felt real stiff and I realized it was dead. Then suddenly my hillucinating kinda faded and this dead mouse and the other one turned into english muffins. I legit was standing there, stroking my finger across an english muffin cos I hillucinated.. think it was a mouse... SO monday, thursday, and sunday nights.. if anyone is talking to me before I go to bed and I sound off it's cos I'm extremely tired so plz do not judge too hard lol

Like omg what is wrong with me lol I'm going to try and avoid petting english muffin mice as best I can haha Need more energy drinks!!

And now onto suit stuff! I made a similar journal before but things have changed just slightly! Instead of leaving it up to people with guarunteed slots to contact me when I open later I instead have contacted all of them ahead of time and have started to form the waiting list! Which means the time which I publically open is completely undetermined but no worries! Once I hear back from everyone and get the waiting list completed, which will be started once my current queue is done, I can work through each of them and after those projects are done I can start taking on new custom projects! I will also have pre-made designs posted if anyone likes any of them!

I am pretty eager to complete my current queue since it has been taking so long! Not that I am tired of it or anything, I am having fun bringing these characters to life and seeing them come together! I'm just excited to get back to working more and fixing my sleep lol I unfortunatley had to sacrafice my real source of income and my sleep schedule to keep up with suitwork. I work only 24hrs a week when I could work 40, and I stay up all night before work to ensure I'm not late. So the next night when finally I get to go to bed I'm up at least 36hrs most of the time. It sucks but it's what I have to do right now.

Hey guys! I won't be naming the maker since I don't want this to be a call out thing I just want to see what other people's legit thoughts and opinions are on this situation! For the sake of simplicity I'll just be calling the suitmaker "Maker" instead of their name.

Okay so 3 years ago you got a slot with Maker with your OC. Suit cost was a little over 2700 for a digi fullsuit. You paid your suit off fully within a few months so it's currently ALMOST been 3 years fully paid off and there are some on the queue who've been paid off longer.
Here are some things you notice over the years:
-Maker opened for more slots at one point and their queue wasn't even worked down a little
-Maker keeps making/designed pre-mades more and more and selling them over working on commissions work
-Maker posts wips of commissions but completed work does not happen very often and is all over the place
-Maker allowed customers to pay a large percentage of their original price to get pushed ahead in the queue, they call it the 'rush fee' BUT the suit itself is not 'rushed'(as in working overtime to complete it quicker), it's just literally pushed ahead of everyone else
-Maker once promised your suit would be done before AC one year. Totally didn't happen.
-Maker recently changed their TOS and you don't have the original TOS from when you commissioned them
-TOS says your original deposit cannot be refunded if you cancel but you've been waiting almost 3 years fully paid off while Maker continues to just stall on the actual queue which has over 20 projects and Maker keeps making pre-mades, planning pre-mades, and selling random things like fursuit charms and custom handpaw pairs, etc..
-You waited so long at one point you changed the character cos you fell out of love with your own OC you originally applied with
-Maker clearly favors certain projects and seems to sneak them in front of others, especially if its their own original species or design

Thoughts?? I think at this point this maker should definitely give a FULL refund to the customers who have been waiting years cos for them right now this situation is very frustrating, sad, and it's just at a point wehre no one can truly be certain when they will get their costume. It's almost looking like a scam on the maker's part cos they are just NOT working on the queue. It's like their queue is too boring to make so they have to make random pre-mades and parts etc.. This maker has good quality work. It's dissapointing to see them basically stall on their paid-off customers who've waited years, watching as pre-mades are sold and people get pushed ahead of them just cos they could pay an extra $700+ etc..

I think the way this maker runs their business needs some tweaking and customers need to be treated better, and the queue should be worked on in order of who applied/paid off and the rush fees should never push a slot ahead of others. A rush fee is supposed to be like working overtime. That's why you get paid more in the first place for one! It's paying you for overtime work, not paying you to just digitally push a slot in front of others. That takes 2 seconds and is just hurting people's view on this maker.

I know wait time for a fursuit can be long but if you followed this maker's actions over the yeras like me and others I know have then you'd understand the frustration and disappointment. Serious thoughts/opinions on this issue plz and how the commissioners could go about handling this and what Maker could do to fix this and make it better for their customers! Thanks for reading!

Hello! Tonight I figured out what I will probably do regarding fursuit work!

After my current queue is finished(2 fullsuits and a bodysuit) I will try to up my work hours at walmart to 40hrs(full time). I usually worked 32 but I dropped a day so now it's 24 and I NEED to be able to make more and fursuits are not the answer. What I've charged so far for suits have mainly been material costs and if more it has covered spending on additional furs or supplies but it's never been enough for me to pay for big things like car, or living expenses if I was moved out.

SO here is my plan! I'll be working full-time at walmart and make suits slowly but only one at a time. I won't be taking on custom slots like before. I guaruntee slots for certain people though! But of course only if I am open. Those people include most of those who I have cancelled and refunded on as well as Pyre and Rain if they ever wish to get 2.0 versions!

Since suits at this point will be made for fun or for trade I will be charging material costs only, if anything maybe just a tiny bit extra so I can fund personal projects or slowly add to savings for a fursuit commissions or something!

I am sorry if this disappoints anyone who may look forward to getting a slot, it'll be more difficult to get a slot now or it'll take longer for some people to get their suits made but this is what I think will work best for me for awhile. Sorta like what wild-life does they take time on one suit at a time and each suit comes out awesome! I kinda wanna do that instead of fill up a queue and robotically build each costume with the same patterning/construction techniques cos that developed originally from being heavily inspired off Phoenix Wolf and I still feel my work may look too similar in some ways. So taking more time to carve and craft each character might help me work out new stuff or at least I'm hoping so!
If I had to make a guess it'd probably take me 2-4 months to costruct a digi fullsuit so that's how frequent I'd make a new costume or accept a new slot. It depends on markings and detail!

I just don't post THAT many fursuiting pics so I don't see much of a reason to use my fursuiting account X3 But I just wanted to post a journal so people know and don't get confused why my fursuiting account is dead lol

BUT ONLY IF I can get this tax stuff figured out. I jsut don't want to get in trouble! I've tried for the past week on different days at different times, even the times/day they claim to be open/available to contact the tax prep places around here. But no one ever picks up since it's not tax time uuugh I just need info! I dunno what forms to fill out, I dunno if I need to do anything more complicated, etc..

But I figured in case I do suddenly get stuff figured out soon I'll post this little ahead-of-time warning here anyway so people can save up! I'm aiming to put my two weeks in as soon as I can figure out tax stuff! And once I put in my two weeks I will accept only ONE digi fullsuit a month to cover monthly expenses while I finish up my queue, so the digi suits I accept will have to be pretty simple cos I don't want them to take too much time each month from my already existing queue! I'll have a few pre-designed suit options available for these spots too in case anyone is interested! But again this is all if I get the tax stuff figured out.

SO I did a tiny bit of math and as long as taxes don't take away more than I estimated then these will be my base prices:

Head-$700

Partial-$900

Plantigrade fullsuit-$1500

Digitigrade fullsuit-$1800

Those prices should work okay but they're base prices so more than a couple colors, more expensive furs, etc.. will increase the price.
I won't be giving out quotes right now so please don't ask! I'll post if quotes are open!

If anyone knows anything that may help me figure out tax stuff please let me know! I'll get it eventually lol
