Just saw the finale of Samurai Jack
Posted 8 years agoIt was excellent without spoiling everything there was continuity everywhere.
Granted the ending was a touch cliched but thank goodness it ended on a proper note.
One of the best series that was left hanging ended on a proper and in my opinion very satisfying note.
Farewell Samurai, your quest was an arduous and tiring one, but you completed it beautifully.

Oh thank goodness!
Posted 8 years agoThere's only one thing I look forward to on a Saturday night. Toonami's awesome anime cartoons, especially with Samurai Jack and Dragonball Super, when both of those were replaced by Rick & Morty playing on endless loop I groaned thinking toonami was going to be replaced!
Thank goodness it stopped at Midnight so I can see all of my other shows.

It's 5:45 ......AM!!!
Posted 8 years agoGods I'm not sleepy, started commenting on a year old comic from some artist who i've already forgotten the name of (I highly doubt that sentence was grammatically correct even in the BASIC sense! It doesn't sound right!) I'm counting calories, playing Pokken tournament and doing ok. Wished one of my friends a happy birthday and getting ready for my Dad's birthday tomorrow.
Ugh, there's this story idea for a pokumans group on DA but I'm terrified to start it off. I have two half finished stories on my laptop that I'm not sure i'll finish (one person ran off without a trace before I could complete it, the other I have a serious writer's block on how I should proceed!)
Anyways that's my life which is boring. See you later tonight!

Digimon tri's fourth set of episodes is out
Posted 8 years agoI get crunchyroll premium, I've been waiting forever since the third set of movies and here is set four. I hope to see all of them heh.
Internet's slightly messed up
Posted 8 years agoI still have internet but it's slower. My dad was messing around with the DVR since that was malfunctioning. Long story short the wireless connection that runs at great speed was essentially lost so we're stuck with the second best connection which has a rating of two out of three bars instead of a full three. In other words we have internet but it's not as good.
To top things off we can't get it back until we watch ALL the shows in the dvr recorder. There's roughly 53 hours worth of shows including movies and one-hour show programs and those aren't even mine.
All recorded programs connect to the same hard drive so they can be watched from any tv in the house but the problem with THAT is that any recording that someone makes fills the dvr up regardless of who's recording.
Meaning even if I just want to record one program it still goes to the shared DVR. To make matters worse the DVR can predict the schedules up to 11 days in advance! Meaning when we record a series the DVR takes that into account before anything else. Last I checked we had up to 48 series scheduled to record. Only ONE of those is mine. The rest is from my family, we could get around this by cancelling some series recordings (some of them aren't shown anymore) but the problem is I have no clue what's being shown and what isn't...ugh what a pain.

Watching the Nintendo Switch presentation.
Posted 9 years agoI've only seen the price point thus far here's what i'm thinking...$300 sounds about right, especially since you're going to be able to connect your smart phone to the switch and there's a screenshot button which will become a video button which sounds cool. On top of that they're loosening their grip on region locking. From the sound of things that's going to be gone. The only issue I have is the size of the buttons. They're much smaller than the ones on the Wii U and when the sides were detached they looked even smaller. I'm not sure if that'll work, maybe offer a version with larger buttons for an additional charge? 2 to 6 hours non-stop playing SOUNDS ok but most tourneys go for much longer then that. Currently looking at some software lineups.
edit: 1-2-switch looks like WarioWare, I can already see the comparisons being made
Arms.....tbh it looks silly. Though I am thankful they're at least trying something new.
Ah they called it Splatoon is getting a sequel! Tbh some of the new special weapons look OP but it's hard to tell until the game comes out. Looks cool though.
Hrm Mario is in the city riding sphinx and throwing his cap ala oddjob? I think they're running out of ideas for the plumber but the city exploration looks fun! At least the title Super Mario Odyssey sounds unique.
Another Xenoblade meh this one looks alright but tbh I think two was enough.
And it looks like Fire Emblem is going to get the dynasty warriors treatment. How many franchises does this make thus far?
Four new dragon quest games...at least the lineup looks fairly diverse....
Too bad I can't read japanese, looks like another Shin Megumi Tensei game is in the works if the atlus trailer is anything to go by.
Project Octopath Traveler hrrm looks interesting.
Skyrim is coming out for the switch?!? Ok I'm surprised!
Hrmm a No More Heroes game on the switch as well. Ok....
Ah also that Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. With how much they are hyping it up I hope it meets expectations.
However I am glad they're getting some third-party support.
The biggest drawback for the Wii U was the lack of games. Hopefully with the third-party support Nintendo is managing to drum up for the Switch that won't be an issue this time around. The only things that could mess this up, is undersupplying and no backwards compatibility. That's something they didn't touch on.

Pain in my arm and Pokken tournament.
Posted 9 years agoMy right arm was strangely paining me all of last night (not bad pain more like it was sore) the pain is still there today and i'm unsure if I should be worried because it isn't that bad at all (like I said it's more like it's stiff and sore more than anything else.)
On a side note playing pokken tournament, only lost twice in online matches (once was legitimately my fault, I let my guard down in the final round at the absolute worst time....yeesh) I started yesterday and already went from E to D rank (kinda helps that most of my opponents up to this point have no clue what they're doing.) Stopped though, worried that D rank I'll run into guys like a lucario user who crushed me for my first loss.

Some thoughts about misplaced aggression
Posted 9 years agoI'm beginning to notice that some artists lash out at the latest person to trigger their pet peeve, now this journal isn't aimed at anyone in particular first off because I haven't noticed this that often and two it violates FA's 'stop the drama llamas' policy. The problem I see with this is that the person who does it often has no clue that what they're doing is a pet peeve until they're informed (shouting 'get bent' is likely to provoke a nasty response in exchange but saying that a painting by Rembrandt looks like a Picasso isn't as likely to get such an angry response).
Also typically the aggression is misdirected, yes that guy was the umpteenth one to hammer your pet peeve but why are you taking out the anger that you should've vented at those fifty something odd guys first rather than have one person take all the punishment for their mistakes.
I've gotten yelled at on Youtube a lot for 'stating exactly what's going on in the video', I then point out the oodles upon oodles of people who were doing THE EXACT SAME THING, and none of them were called on it so why am I the one to be punished for that? Do I have a target painted on my back or what?
I can get how frustrating it is when something that you don't like happens over and over again, in my case it was elitist players in Tekken Revolution. However, instead of blowing up at the last person who said 'U SUK' I simply uninstalled the game and walked away, much better for my blood pressure (and social life) it also had the nice fringe benefit of making me look more patient.
I found out what this was called in an episode of Danny Phantom where the box ghost crops up after Danny got a piddly reward for hard work 'misplaced aggression'. Where you aggressively go after a single person because the other people you were angry with have run off somewhere. Unfortunately that makes YOU look overreactive and angry. It also makes the aggression look unjustified maybe resulting in yells of 'break it up' or 'play nice'. (though in this day and age it might just get a question of where the nearest popcorn vendor is at).
Anyways this was on my mind and I needed to vent, to whoever comments, thanks for reading the wall of text and listening to me babble.

Went to Firekeepers
Posted 9 years agoFirekeepers is a casino over in Battle Creek. The room was really nice despite being bare bones. I mean for less than $200 we got a tv, a coffee machine, bathroom with automatic showerhead, two beds, lights everywhere. Due to the price it was booked solid, thankfully we reserved a room first so heh.
I heard Charem moved here but we just went to Firekeepers Casino we didn't explore. Compared to where I live....Battle Creek is....empty. Lots of hills, farmland, and other stuff but besides firekeepers the only other thing there was a McDonald's/Gas Station 2 in 1, not exactly where I'd live. In big cities like Detroit it always felt too crowded and packed. In my area where I live it's not too empty and not too packed so heh.

My birthday is coming up
Posted 9 years agoI'm going to be thirty, my dragonsona doesn't have a proper ref sheet (still i'm just to cheap to plunk down 100+$ on something like that) or a proper showing off of his shapeshifting abilities. Not to mention I feel super old....ugh.
The finals from the most recent pokemon anime were decent
Posted 9 years agoMega charizard x has been around for awhile so it's not like they pulled it out of their butts (and ash-greninja was in there too so it was pretty even what with the type switch eliminating that pesky water-type weakness).
Pikachu had crappy endurance so of course taking solid hits from THREE DIFFERENT POKEMON was too much for it regardless of level. Greninja could've come out of the gate with an advantage if it had used water shurikan instead of cut when rain dance was still active (that move one-shot bisharp for crying out loud! Did Ash have a brain fart there or was it just him hating it when things aren't a challenge? Meh whatever setup for a good fight).
The fight there was certainly better than the league before that (losing to a trainer who brought five pokemon instead of six?!? Seriously?!? And that guy didn't even win the league anyways!) or the league before that one (a trainer who had not one but TWO legendaries) The fighting was properly tough, Ash put up a good showing knocking the trainer down to his last (and best) pokemon and whipping out an evolution that wasn't supposed to be around until the next league.
The other trainer had been taking on mega-evolutions with his own before Ash had hit the fourth gym (giving him a craptop of experience), and pretty much had Ash beat strategy wise (spirit wins gym battles strategy wins leagues).
Overall though the only reason Ash keeps losing is that he keeps going after new friendships and resetting his team rather than maintainingand cultivating his existing ones. I'm pretty positive if Ash had gone back and used some of his pokemon from the previous leagues...he would've won that fight because the experience his pokemon would've had would trump the experience from the other team....I have to admit that Ash IS learning though. Aside from using cut instead of rain dance I didn't see too many strategic mistakes on his part.

Dreams again heh
Posted 9 years agoMy dreams have that one song called 'Circles' by Soul Coughing.
The only reason I know about this band is because I used to watch Cartoon Network in the 90's (where it was arguably better than it is now) they had these things called 'Cartoon Network Groovies' I used to watch those constantly and the songs used for them was always catchy.
In any case I kept trying to sing the chorus and the results ranged from singing it well to not being able to sing at all ugh.

Spirits run rampant on months like today so I thought why not?!? (I really wish he invented a better name for himself, heck he could've taken MY name if he wanted to!)
On this month we're going to be as selfish and vorish as possible!
NOONE WILL ESCAPE OUR BELLY!
*pulls out roasting spit and pans* Now who should we roast and eat first?
*pats second head which is sound asleep*

Posted 9 years agoI've been having an amazing RP with
blackbeast13, it involved a mass tf of humans (and anthros) into pokemon by mewtwo then mewtwo willingly feeding himself to a charmander to make a charmander/mewtwo hybrid!!! Gods I want to see that vore, absorption, and hybrid in a drawing sequence (especially since the vegas vacation looks to be out. Can't find a travel partner with previous experience) My rps with him now instead of being boring have been gold, mainly because it's hitting areas I love! Throw a machop absorption into the mix and I'll be in heaven!
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY VORE, TF, AND MUSCLE ARTISTS WAAAH!!!!!

To be on the safe side i'm not going to download ANYTHING until my dad who fixes laptops in his spare time, gets home....wait my background is still on here...hrmmm...oh good all the other apps loaded just fine phew. As I said though no new downloads until dad gets home!
Finding games from different stores at different prices
Posted 9 years agoA.K.A The Benefits of Shopping around.
Back a while ago, when the PS3 was still relatively new I had a basic PS1 and a crapload of games.
However when the PS3 and Wii came out (wiiU wasn't out yet) it began to gather dust. Using the flawed logic that since the newer versions of the PS3(which was the one I owned) couldn't play PS2 games and that the PS1 (playstation) was older than the PS2 than the PS3 couldn't play PS1 games.
I sold off my PS1, games and memory cards at a garage sale along with my collection of games, I didn't care for most of them but there were at least seven which I owned which became cult classics and are now worth a lot more money NOW then they were when they first came out.
After I realized my mistake (the PS3 can play PS1 game disks just fine but not PS2 disks which doesn't make much business sense) I've been going after the games I didn't want to let go of, that includes both megaman legends games and all three digimon world games. Thus far I managed to get my digimon world one game at a decent price. And also snatched up the Legend of Dragoon used.
Now here's where the title of my journal comes in. On amazon I was aiming to reclaim my monster rancher 2 game, big surprise the game at any reasonable condition was roughly around $50 not including shipping. Then I remembered Gamestop sold retro games. Turns out they have it at $30 and I get a $3 discount for being a rewards member. They also have all my Spyro games at $20 a piece+ discount.
So i'm going to be busy rebuilding my game collection from the ground up....this might take awhile as i'm leery about cost even with these good prices I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Heh buddyfight may be for kids but it's hysterical!
Posted 9 years agoI watch the thing as a guilty pleasure/laugh riot. One of the main characters is named bal dragon, typically he's a third the size of the other main character a sixth grader, after some serious eating not only has bal dragon grown fatter he's also grown in such a way that he's ten or a hundred times the sixth grader's size! I'm cracking up here!
Just saw the end of homestuck *spoilers ahead*
Posted 9 years agoFinally saw that homestuck was on it's way but one question still super nags at me, that one guy that the ghosts and everyone names Lord English they were supposed to beat....wasn't beaten, even though the weapon was dumped out and that one other guy completed his quest to complete the stable time loop. Was Lord English beaten after all? Because I'm super lost.
Interesting classic Spyro dream.
Posted 9 years agoI don't remember the whole thing obviously but...heh I was a spectator watching spyro (from the PS1 version of Spyro the Dragon) do his thing. Then I was mentioned, surprisingly despite the fact that the dragon that mentioned me described me as a complete nutcase when Spyro came over he was surprisingly friendly. We had a nice chat and my area became unlocked as a portal location.
Time skip in dream Spyro is looking up my location, apparently you can visit it season by season (spring, summer, winter, or fall) Spyro chooses summer. The dream ends with Spyro offering me tea (er ok) me drinking it (ok....) and then my skin breaking out. I instantly tell Spyro I have dry skin problems. Spyro, in his classic PS1 animation gives me the universal facial expression for 'wtf' and responds thusly "since when does 'dry skin' break into perfectly even patterns?" That's when I woke up.

Saw today's E3 for Nintendo
Posted 9 years agoI think my opinion will be similar to many others, there were a lot of 'yays' a few 'mehs' and maybe an 'ugh' or two. Let's start with the yays:
Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild. Kinda reminds me of monster hunter where you have to find weapons, items and armor yourself, huge world though no wonder they used it for an entire day's segment.
Paper Mario: Color Splash. The koopalings are in this one so it's an instant yay in my book, though when the game was demonstrated I cringed because the play style reminded me too much of sticker star, seriously hoping they aren't going that route.
Rhythm Heaven Megamix. I played the US rhythm heavens up to this point and it looks like this one won't disappoint either. Games from the two US versions and the one Japan-only version will be on this one. Which makes me happy.
Now for the 'mehs'
Mario Party Star Dash (I seriously hope that's the title). Looks like a better version than the DS version and Donkey Kong is playable but the demonstration made it look like any other Mario Party game, I don't have anything against it but don't expect anything drastically new.
Ever Oasis: Saw the demonstration and....I don't know what to think about this game, it looks like a combination of exploration, shop managing, and dungeon crawler. I guess it's ok but I still don't know what to think.
Yo-Kai Watch 2. I didn't mind the first one and it looks like it's getting a sequel, good for Level 5 Studios.
Pokemon Go: Loved the accessory that went with the game, sadly I don't own a smart phone but it's great they're trying to get people to move around.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions: This game looks beyond interesting, but it also looks really complicated and all the songs they're using are in Japanese which confuses the heck out of me. Still, I might try it out.
Finally the 'ugh' for me:
Pokemon Sun & Moon: Honestly I lost touch with the franchise after the Johto region, even if they touch up the graphics and add new pokemon it just feels like they're running out of ideas. On top of that they have pokemon that if the typing is right are weak to elements that logic dictates they should be strong against. Definitely a pass from me.
I know i'm missing a few but I forgot the names of them so I couldn't give an accurate assessment of those.

Finally decided to get a ref sheet need a referral
Posted 9 years agoI've been running my site without a ref sheet or even a basic ref pic for awhile. I think I should get a ref sheet thing is:
1) They'll have to work off of a description only, I have pictures other people did for me and whatnot but I seriously need a detailed sheet showing off RD.
2) I need to bite the bullet and stop fretting about price so much, a good ref sheet should cost between $60-$70. Around there, and that's if I don't include alternate forms or a description of abilities.
3) Yes I should put my human form in there too, I mean I wanna be like vectordragon and have several instances of my human form being tfed, a good human ref would be a good start...though that does cost extra.
I think one artist named shikaro does excellent refs but i'd also like to know about any others.

I know it's aimed at kids but still...
Posted 9 years agoSo i'm watching buddyfight triple d, it's supposed to be aimed at elementary school kids. But then there's a pregnancy joke and after that gao's shown as a girl! I'm seriously laughing my tail off over here. Stuff like that would never fly over here in the US, Japanese kids are so lucky!
