It is with sad hearts that we have to tell you that we are closing RainFurrest as a convention. The RainFurrest Anthropomorphics International (RAIn) board of directors has been working hard to secure a venue, but we have exhausted all of our options. Right now, we can't make it happen. We thank all of you for waiting and standing with us, and we are sorry to let you down.

Even though RainFurrest the convention is being closed, RAIn will continue to hold Furlandia in Portland, as well as the summer BBQ and the winter holiday party in Seattle. We will also continue to support and promote the furry fandom in the Pacific Northwest and worldwide, because we want everybody to see the great things that our community, our colleagues, and our supporters accomplish every day.

Thank you, everybody who helped us run RainFurrest—staff or volunteer, many years or few. Thank you, everybody who came together with us to celebrate the wonderful things our fandom brings to life and the amazing community we can create by working together. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

We hope to see you at other RAIn events, and we look forward with you to the arrival of Furvana in Seattle in the near future.

Hello Fans!

As many of you know, RainFurrest has been in search of a new venue since October 2015. We have discussed and explored facilities in many wonderful areas, finding options with a number of excellent venues in Greater Seattle and western Washington state. Our hard-working hotel team has fought for every possible option that would suit what our fans want out of RainFurrest. Tonight, the last of those options has closed to us.

It is our sombre duty to inform you that our efforts to locate a viable convention and hotel space for 2016 have not been successful. We do not feel any additional options will present themselves in time to successfully plan and hold the event. As a result, the RainFurrest Anthropomorphics International (RAIn) board of directors have voted not to host RainFurrest 2016.

We appreciate your support through our very challenging transition, and we extend our sincere thanks to everyone, especially our staff volunteers, who devoted their time, effort, and thoughts to us. We will continue to work on future locations and dates and we will return when we know the situation is right for our fans.

We will be issuing further details regarding refunds and other remaining issues in the near future. Please wait for more details before contacting us about this. Hi Rainfur

So what is going on is the Hilton is packed with furrys and if you use there online system or you call into there 1-800 line to make any changes (i,e, add peoples names to your room) it is taking it as you are making a new reservation and will most likely change your room rate. They are trying to catch everything when it happens, but might not get them all. So the best thing to do is wait until your at the hotel checking in and add the people to your room.

If you are trying to drop a day off your reservations please let us do it, just email hotel[at]rainfurrest.com and I will send your request to our Reservation Manager and she will get it done. If you are trying to add a day our room block is over sold so if you can get them to add a day it most likely will not be at the con rate and sorry to say we can’t do anything about it.

We are working hard with the Hilton to get this problem resolved please hang in there with us and see you in 14 days.

Hi All

So if you are going to make last minute changes to your room (i.e. add a friends name, drop a day) DON’T NOT CONTACT THE HOTEL LET ME DO IT!!!!!!! For some reason there software is taking it as a new reservation and your room rate will go to up to $350.00 a night. i have had to fix several reservation that this has happen to.

We've got a boffer construction panel, so people will get to lean how to make their own foam weapons to accentuate their costumes.

We've got a demo of boffer techniques (non-participatory, outside, no steel) so people can see how to swordfight.

We'll be scheduling a fursuit dance auction for charity, and we're looking into what animals we'll be able to bring back for people to draw.

For the writers, Fangs and Fonts and Unsheathed will both be hosting live shows, and our ever-popular kaffeeklatsch returns. We have someone presenting an oral history of furry, and all of our dances are scheduled to run until 2am

Reg News - Hey all Pre-reg closes September 1st, so get you membership now. If you have already reg’ed but haven’t finished paying you need to do it now. If your not paid by the time reg closes you loss everything in your cart and you will be paying the, “ At the Door Price”.

We have made minor changes to the GoH Dinner, like Turkey instead of Chicken. If you need to change your selection please do so by the 1st.

Pre Registration for RainFurrest closes September 1st 2015. After that date you will only be able to register at the convention.

RF General Anthology:

We would like to welcome you in celebrating the fifth annual Rainfurrest Anthology.  Every year, we release a book of short stories based on the current year's theme, whose profits all go to charity.  Swords and Sorcery is a classical theme that everyone knows from growing up, with everything from The Sword in the Stone to Conan the Barbarian.  This year, we present fourteen brand new stories and six new works of art donated to a good cause, including cover art by Rainfurrest's 2015 Artist Guest of Honor, Jan.

Adult Anthology:

In the last two years, the writers at Rainfurrest presented us with a challenge.  To match our regular anthology, we release an Adult Anthology as a companion piece.  This year, we finally give you Naughty Sexy Furry Writing, Rainfurrest's first After Dark version of our traditional charity work.  Six authors give you six different stories to tease with three artists adding their own touch to the genre, and cover art presented by long-time Rainfurrest supporter Rhari.

Losing My Religion by Kyell Gold

The newest book in the Cupcake line, from Kyell Gold and FurPlanet. “Losing My Religion” is the story of Jackson, a bisexual coyote in an R.E.M. cover band trying his hardest to get laid while the band’s on tour, and Zeb, an ex-Mormon kit fox newly arrived to play bass for the band and trying to figure out his life.

Koa and the Drowned Kingdom by Ryan Campbell 

When Koa was just a pup, a terrible storm killed his family and tore his wings. Adopted by a family of otters, he falls in love with a bat from the world he lost long ago. Forest Gods
