Corpus Christi Comic Con, Otaku Fair x GamExpo, and Alamo City Furry Invasion Presents: "The Furry Furry West"

Anyone else getting excited for Halloween? It's falling on a Monday, which is kind of a bummer, but I have always had a blast helping to hand out candy to kids with my fursuiter friends.

It says something that I'm a handler and it's still fun. It's work, too: filling candy bowls, taking pictures, keeping people hydrated.

Funny things happen: The first year we had a neighbor ask about the fursuits, and he seemed a little too interested in them. Yeah, it got a little weird.

Another time, I was wearing a football jersey (because lazy) and I was standing outside with a fursuiter friend. A kid walking by asks his dad: "What are they?" He points at me and says: "That's the football player," then points to Furbal and says "and he's the mascot!"

I can't wait to see what happens this year! :D

San Antonio's biggest anime con was a blast as always, though Labor Day took a bite out of the attendance. It was still great fun, though, saw lots of friends and we had a nearly maxed-out 200-person room for Furry 101!

San Antonio's largest anime con is happening September 2-4 at the Henry B, Gonzalez Convention Center! There will be a furry meet-up at 7PM on Friday in room 207B and I will be presenting Furry 101 on Saturday at 6PM in room 216. Hope to see y'all there!

I had committed to be at another event (San Antonio Indie Bookfest) that was re-scheduled for the same Saturday as Siesta so I'll be missing it again.

Comicpalooza is taking place this weekend in Houston, and while I had to miss Friday due to work, the weekend should be fun on a bun! It'll be my first time there, so I'm looking forward to seeing the spectacle that is a big comic con. I will also be presenting Furry 101 and How To Publish E-Books there, whee!
