Avalanche Charity CD
General | Posted 5 years agoEvery year I put together a 2CD compilation of unsigned furry musicians, which is sold for charity. This year's CD is titled Avalanche, and the fourth such release. All proceeds are donated to Secret World Wildlife Rescue, Confuzzled's planned charity this year.
It has a wide variety of original music which I hope people enjoy. You can order the CD by messaging me, or you can stream/digitally download it here:

2018 Recap
General | Posted 7 years agoSo it's now 2019, and rather than make a Twitter post (which would be too limited in space) I figured I'd write about it here. It was my first full year out of work, so it was an odd and often frustrating feeling. A lot of friends got to do things I would have liked to join in on. Such is life. I was very productive with my time, however:
- I completed some courses in programming. I was particularly glad about this because it was a long time since I studied anything (I'm not, generally, an academic learner, preferring to read or watch videos).
- I'm well on the way to getting qualified to drive. I've had a great teacher this year, who is a few years older, though has many similar interests, and that helps a lot. Whilst I did narrowly fail my first attempt at a theory test, I am retaking it soon, so fingers crossed.
- I saw some live musicians that I never expected to see. Microdisney, Mighty Sparrow, Calypso Rose, Gary Lucas, Cindy Wilson (who I saw with
blueygrifter ), Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers to name a few. In particular, the Microdisney show was their first in 30 years, and amazingly, they gave an onstage shoutout to a fan group I admin. After the show, I met the whole group who signed my CD.
- I released a lot of music myself, easily my most prolific year since 2014. This included Another Year EP, the album Square On and its singles, an acoustic EP Powercut, and the Holiday '18 EP. I met
forsetifox, who was a vocalist on a few of my tracks. My local friend
fader-fox added drums to my Tsunami track "Luminaries". I have also collaborated with my non-fur friend Frankreich on several single releases, which turned out really well - an album should follow in 2019.
- Myself and
keenyfox followed up 2017's Wildfire charity CD with Tsunami, which features 30 furry musicians of different genres. We made well over £300 for Confuzzled's charity this year.
- I entered Scotiacon's Dance Competition, and whilst I didn't win, it was a lot of fun and I was glad to have entered, having avoided doing so at Confuzzled out of nerves. Also at Scotiacon, I played some of my Powercut acoustic songs live in the Open Mic as well as doing a couple of Foo Fighters covers with Mattabee (we didn't have a load of time to come up with things).
- Whilst I didn't manage to go to a whole lot of Londonfurs meets this year due to saving cash for CFZ and SC, my local community Kentfurs has grown in size and I am pleased to have a lot of great pals there now. Thanks to all my LFM pals for your patience, I'm sure I'll see more of you this year.
- On occasions I've gone up to Sheffield to visit my friends
pyropygmy and
pilli10 , who are good company, and it was also my first opportunity going to a Sheffield Meet this year. It is a goal to move up there someday.
- Shoutouts to all of Casa De Ras & G.R.U.M.P., you know who you are. :3
Despite the lack of work, it was otherwise a pretty good year, and I hope 2019 is even better.
