UPDATE, I survived getting the Plague, and other things.
Posted 4 years agoWhoo boy, been way too long since ive posted here.
To make a long story short, I caught Covid several weeks ago, was sick through New Years, and have basically made a recovery, but im still lethargic as hell just from being so burnt-out over the last year.
In the meantime I started diving into VRchat and made some awesome friends, and the online events and socializing have been great at keeping me sane while dealing with crappy retail-job situations~
Of course I opened up for VRchat avatar-mod/reskin commissions [Info HERE: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/39102522/ ] and I was really clipping along getting into a groove for a while~! Until several software issues along with getting sick completely derailed my motivation x.=.x;
I also started streaming more regularly on Twitch for Fursuit-Friday~ [HERE: https://www.twitch.tv/rocknrolldragon ] And anyone is more than welcome to come hangout!
Stream usually starts at 7pm EST and goes till about 9-10pm, and I stream on and off during the week for late night sessions solo or with friends~.
Thats all for now though, I hope to get back on track trying to do 3D work and music in the coming months, but first I just need to catch up across the board.

Im sorry that my FA page has basically become a dumping ground for photos and YouTube thumbnails, but honestly thats all I have to offer as my focus has shifted over the years away from artwork in general. Im glad that over 700 of you guys have still stuck with me (At least the ones that still USE FA these days lol) And thanks to all the new people that have found me recently!
I've been really trying to throw myself into making content for YouTube in my free time outside of working 40-hour weeks, and I know I've been really erratic in keeping up with posting regularly on ANY kind of basis, but im still trying!
On another note I'm a Guest of Honor at Fur Reality in Ohio~!!! http://www.furreality.org/
I'll be putting on another concert involving Citrine Husky so be sure to keep an eye out once October rolls around!
In the meantime over the summer I'll be attempting to post regular gaming-videos to Rock Dragon Gaming, some more Fursuit Friday videos to the main YouTube channel possibly, as well as random fun stuff on my Twitter~!

First of all, im kinda biased, this being my (nearest) home-convention for the better part of a decade, but WOW, I STILL have yet to tire or get bored of Motor City Fur Con~. Granted, this time around it felt like the whole weekend flew by, but this was honestly the busiest I'd been at ANY con before. Arrived there Thursday night with Fireboy224 , his 3rd (I think??) time making the trip all the way to Michigan from Arizona, and met-up with my mate FelineElement and the newly suit-acquired Wolfemasters
Overall was a nice idea to be able to do registration/pre-reg that night to avoid the huge lines! Can't remember much other than going out to eat at one of the local restaurants and generally mingling around the hotel... Oh! And rehearsing that night with Citrine Husky AKA:

Friday was fun, but busy. Tried recording a fancy lil' intro-video that ended up completely failing every time we tried to export it for the Audio/Video team, but thanks "Fireboy224" AKA Taya for helping out! (Still might use it ;3) Checked out dealers-den/Artist alley and met a few familliar faces like

hbruton , and my ol' DnD-group buddies

Suited around in the afternoon and recorded another episode of Fursuit-Friday for YouTube!:

And that night I sat-in as a guest performer with Citrine as well as

PepperCoyote at his acoustic music-panel! Hopefully sometime I can get around to posting the recordings of that, (Or at least he might!) the dude has serious talent~.
Saturday was where things got pretty intense, showed up for official rehearsal for the Talent-Show panel that was for Sunday, and at the same time did sound-check for MY OWN performance-panel at 3pm the "Rock n' Roll Dragon ROCKS The 90's"!! STILL can't believe I got this opportunity, as well as being able to get all my recordings hammered out within the last couple months ^^;;;. Participated in the Fursuit Parade and group-photo, once again taken by the amazing
Abrahm and mingled around for a while before I retired to my room to gather myself before my big show.
Due to a couple of technical issues as well as my own silly mistakes the show got delayed for a while, but off it went! I seriously had so much fun playing onstage for all the people that came to my panel, im so humbled and grateful for the crowd, especially all my supporting friends and fans alike~. Having Citrine Husky join me for several songs was EPIC, and I hope to perform with him again next year!!! By the end of the show I was completely spent physically and emotionally, my friends, family, and the staff at MCFC that all made it possible dont know how much of a dream come true it was. BIG shout-out to Oddy and the rest of the A/V-Staff!!! Once the show ended and after gathering up all my equipment I literally passed out back in my room for several hours ^^; Im HOPING to have videos to post sometime in the future of the whole show! (Please be patient, im waiting on professional recordings and I do all my own video-editing ^^;)
Can't remember much else from Saturday after that XD
Sunday was a bit of a blur, I still remember everything feeling like it was... well not like a blur, but time just seemed to pass a lot quicker. Before I could do much else it felt like it was already time to get back on-stage for the Talent Show just before closing-ceremonies, which was STILL a ton of fun~. Thanks again to everyone that came to see myself and the other performers!
Im sure theres plenty of stuff I forgot but... thats what happens when you wait over a month to post anything about it ^.=.^;
ANYWAY! On to the next thing on the Agenda: Great Lakes Fur Con!
I'll be doing ANOTHER full-show there, as well as a Fursuit-Friday panel with FelineElement that will be going up as an episode on YouTube, AND I'll be attempting to make another music video for the con as well! A BIG reason why I'll be going is because I was personally invited by 
lamper and his wife, the 2 main people running the con, and I couldn't be more flattered to be one of their guests!
The Fursuit-Friday panel will of course be on Friday (dur), and more than likely I'll be performing Saturday night at 8pm! The music-video will probably shot over the course of the weekend, though they are going to schedule certain meet-up times to get the most people in-fursuit involved~
Ive been seriously considering other projects for my YouTube channel and im hoping I can keep the uploads coming, but until I start making any sort of income on the side other than my full-time retail job, I'll be severely limited in what I can do...

Anthrocon Masquerade Performance!
Posted 9 years agoFor years I've dreamed of doing a performance like this, and now I finally got my chance!! Hope you guys enjoy it!
To say this has been a life-changing experience for me wouldn't be doing it justice. I can't thank everyone that was involved in making this happen enough!
This was my performance for the "Masquerade" at Anthrocon 2016, a showcase of talented groups and individuals all done in full-costume!
Between hauling my equipment half a mile through downtown Pittsburgh IN-SUIT at 8am, having to cut-down the running-time of my act (The original version includes 3 songs, not just 2), dealing with a wireless guitar-kit that refused to work properly and having to borrow Hamilton Pennywises cable, and then being unable to hear myself as I sang, I really thought the worst.
One of the guys-in-charge "Danruk Rooface" approached me an hour before showtime to present the idea of my act being the "Curtain-Call". Needless to say I was utterly flattered and overwhelmed with the idea. I had never closed out a show like this, let alone this BIG. As the Masquerade kept rolling I was literally jogging and pacing almost the whole time, my only clue that we were getting closer to the end was when performers made it back afterwards (The only act I got to watch was the one right before mine that night)
Of course what the video wont show is the agonizingly-long dead-air as one of the crew did his best getting me setup as quickly as possible, and my internal reaction of dread, realizing the distortion on my amplifier was NOT how I left it.
Too late to fix, and too late to stall, I turned to the mic and shouted to the waiting crowd: "ARE YOU READY TO ROCK??" and the rest is history~
Even with everything that went wrong, I wouldn't trade the experience for the world.
Hope to see you guys next year at Anthrocon!

Motor City Fur Con was AMAZING... had such a fun time going around playing music in-suit!!!
Got some KICK-ASS arts from
Lizardbeth and Gravewalker (Check gallery, too busy packing to link ^^; ) and got to meet a whole bunch of cool peeps old and new X3~
SO damn much happened this past month... moved for the SECOND time into a new house, been working overtime for the last 4+ weeks, barely had a chance to catch my breath to unpack!
Wanted to get right back on the horse making "Fursuit-Friday" posts, but been so damn busy I haven't been able to....
BUT, with some new camera/equipment I was actually thinking of doing a "Fursuit-Friday"-related series for YouTube! And speaking of YouTube, I've been actually thinking of starting a new channel just for fandom/music-related stuffs, so keep on the lookout :D
On a side-note, if ANYone has pics/footage of me from MCFC this year, I would LOVE to get my hands on it!
...oh yeah, almost forgot I had yet another one of those Birthday-things on the 11th XD
Got to go out with friends for dinner at least!.... but was too damn busy to spent much time with anyone x-x;;; Though, was surprised with some naughty-funz art from my Dragoness by

I've been going absolutely NUTS with all the preparations for this con... its the same one ive gone to for the last several years and the CLOSEST one to where I live... and im trying to pull out ALL the stops.
Fursuit renovations and additions,
New audio/electronic equipment,

Posted 9 years agoGood lard'.... over half a year since I've posted a journal... would probably have sooner if I felt there was something worth posting I guess ^.=.^;
But I guess thats been my problem lately, after mostly completing my suit I've had such a hard time getting any momentum going... I've got all sorts of ambitious ideas and projects bouncing around in my head, but when I have the chance to start putting time into it, I lose all focus and basically give up before I even start...
I guess its always been the problem for me, even back in art-school my best work was almost EXCLUSIVELY done while working with a whole room-full of other artists... Just wish I wasn't cooped'-up down in the basement... but at the same time im not sure how comfortable I would be trying to work closer to where my roomie and mate would both be relaxing or doing whatever...
I dunno, just wish I could be around people on the same level of working on things... maybe thats why some artists/suit-makers do live-streams with other artists at the same time? *shrugs*
The good news at least is that I've been resting better than I have for the last SEVERAL years just thanks to simple ear-plugs... who knew right? ^.=.^; and most of my depression/anxiety only flared up around Christmas, (damn you repetitively-sickening holiday music at work x.=.x; ) and yeah, getting better rest helped IMMENSELY.
I guess another big thing that happened over the past chunk of months was that I badly injured my right wrist playing drums one night, and it turned out to be a pulled tendon + damaged cartilage @.=.@; (I have to remember to not go overboard when playing to System Of A Down Tracks ^^;) I was out of work for 2 months straight, and couldn't collect unemployment because my job was holding on to my position for me to come back to work.... aaaanyway, long story short, after wearing braces and babying my wrist I finally feel 99% back to normal now (and only after roughly 5 months!) Hopefully it keeps getting better so I can continue LARPing in the spring X3
Oh, yeah, and having 2 jobs over the holidays is INSANE... Not only did I have the pleasure for the 3rd year in a row of working at a downtown grocery-store for the whole holiday-season, but I work at the same Game Stop location that Wolfemasters also works at part-time (I maybe get 1-2 shifts a week, and dont know if I was just holiday-help or a more permanent part-timer) but yeah... day AFTER Christmas was insane... nothing but kids with holiday-money, gift-cards, forgotten accessories... the works @.=.@;
After all is said and done I really look forward to what I can accomplish this year, I just hope I can figure out how to set myself up into a more encouraging work-environment to get things done ^.=.^;
Oh and, Yay Star Wars :D

Posted 10 years agoI had such a fantastic time at the convention, arguably the most fun I've had at a con so far, just so much stuff happened, met so many people... I've been putting off doing any sort of update-journal just because I was so burnt-out from the rush of finishing my partial fursuit, and afterwards I had such a relaxed change of pace that I've just turned into a totally lazy-ass over the last month :P
Not to mention I wanted to be able to accurately recount all the awesome stuff that happened, but I know now that it's not possible. ^^;
First off, a big shout-out to Sharpe19 for being my biggest inspiration for fursuit-making, something about her unique style made me look at suits' in a whole new way :3
Another big shout-out to Padunk for a crazy-sexy commission for myself and my mate (I hope to commission again!)
And finally, a huge HUGE thank-you to anyone that chatted me up and complimented me on my first fursuit, both at the convention and derping around on Omegle :3
All the positive reactions and fantastic feedback have really lifted my spirits lately, and I can't thank you guys enough for showing your appreciation ^///^
It was awesome to meetup with some old pals like my college-bud crisosphinx , the tallest chibi-dragon ever:

Depression, Anxiety, Procrastination, Unproductivity...
Posted 10 years agoPLEASE, I know this is a long read, but I feel it's something that everyone should know about me.
So I've been doing some thinking recently... It's the thing you do when a back-strain injury from work lands you in bed on pain medication for a whole day (Going on 2) . Ever since I started my current job I got less and less sleep, for roughly 2 years straight I averaged about 3-4 hours each night. And over those years I grew more and more disconnected with my friends and family. My anxiety and depression were constantly nipping at my heels and the crushing sensation of feeling worthless firmly rooted at the back of my mind. Ever since I had to stop going to art school for lack of funds, without that constant push for productivity, I was left to my own motivations for creative outlets. It wasn't enough, every time I would try to push myself to create, my self-doubt and procrastination would snuff out just about all of my attempts. Day by day the things I loved like gaming and music were more of a distraction than an enjoyment. I'd dug myself so deep that I just wanted to forget everything, staying up almost all night just so I wouldn't have to be fully conscious the next day, just to run on auto-pilot at my job and simply get by trying to forget how much I felt I let myself down.
I have been getting better though... I started seeing a therapist, something I should have done years and years ago, back in High School at least... I've done a lot, reflecting on my problems and discovering where they come from, what they're trying to tell me... But I've still got a long way to go... When I first started therapy sessions I started feeling tremendously better! But, the more aware I became of my anxieties and emotional difficulties, the more often I recognized them. Every day I could see how negativity would latch itself on and I'd struggle to not spread it around. More and more, I'd watch in horror as I could see myself slide right back down the same hole that I had just climbed out of. It's gotten bad enough that I let my anger and frustration boil over, burning the ones that I love with hateful words... And as the sparks flew my horror only grew, knowing I could never take those words back, knowing how much of a mistake I made.
I'm so sick of this person I've become... so sick of falling into the same bad habits, so sick of wasting my time on meaningless escapes, so sick of isolating myself from my friends and family, some of which I haven't spoken to in years... so sick of feeling like I have nothing to share, no progress to show... so sick of worrying about money problems and debt that basically had no benefit, so sick of holding myself back, and so sick of dwelling on my past mistakes.
I've put my loved ones through so much over the years, I know I'd probably give up or go crazy if I had to deal with someone just like me... I can't thank them enough for at least keeping themselves open for me. I feel so sorry for the ones that had to deal with all of my negative emotions and outbursts... especially Cara...
All I want is to move forward, to cross those bridges that I kept telling myself were long gone or forgotten... and to repair the ones that I burned on my own... Its funny how, missing so much sleep lets you forget about things, and how a simple rest away from work can make things so clear, the good and the bad...
If you read all of this I can't thank you enough, but please, if you did, please don't stay silent... I've tried that, trust me, it doesn't work.

Godzilla ROCKED MY WORLD! :D
Posted 11 years agoI went and saw the movie just the other night with felineelement and a few friends, and by sheer luck go upgraded to get "D-Box" seating, (The ones with the hydrolic pistons that rock and shake in sync to the film)
The first big reveal blew me away so hard I was nearly in tears from sheer awesomeness!!!
Seeing, hearing and FEELING Godzillas' first massive roar LITERALLY blasted me back in my seat and shook me like an earthquake! In my opinion, the only true way to experience the film :3 (Though I'll admit, im sure adding 3D into the mix would make it that much more amazing!)
This was like two days ago and I STILL get goosebumps and excited just remembering! ^.=.^
In other news was awesome that I got so many friends to show up at my birthday party last week, thanks to all who came, and especially thanks to wolfemasters for being the moderator for the Werewolf card-game :3
