Life Update
Posted 4 months agoHey everyone, just thought I'd give a little update about myself since I've been pretty inactive as of late...
So summer has rolled in and I'm already over it, it's been so freaking hot where I'm at and it doesn't help that my car's AC is broken as it only blows hot air LOL. My IRL job has gotten a little busier since well, gym time + summer means lots of people wanting to workout for their summer body so yep, a lot of guests and all that.
Aside from that, my father has been experiencing health issues where I learned from my stepmom that he needed to have open heart surgery to clear 3 blockages that were found in a cat-scan and that definitely weighed heavily on my mind because heart surgery is always risky. Thankfully the surgery went well and he was able to go home on Wednesay so that was relieving but now he's dealing with a bad sinus infection. Thankfully he got his antibiotics and should hopefully feel better soon. This all just really grips me because my father turns 75 this year and I just can't fathom the possibility of losing him because once that happens, that's literally it of my family besides my brother. It's just a lot to think about and I dread that inevitable day...
Aside from that, I caught a bad stomach flu on the day that my dad went in for heart surgery and I've been slowly recovering from it. I won't lie, it definitely took me out for a few days, the back pain especially. But today as I write this journal, I'm starting to feel a tad better now and I just can't wait to be back to normal which hopefully will be by the end of the weekend.
I've also been heavily slacking on gaming. I just realized that I haven't sat down and played a game in 2 years... It's like I know that I want to game but I'm too lazy to set things up. But I really want to try because even though I'm lazy as hell to set up my consoles, that hunger to play through a game is still in there, I just gotta kick myself up lol I'll probably just start with my tried-and-true favorites which were of course, the platformers, specifically Crash Bandicoot but er yeah lol.
And last but not least, as far as my art has been. I've been drawing a lot but slowly getting things finished, especially when I got sick with the stomach flu to where I just couldn't work on anything for long periods of time. Again, I'm feeling better now so I'm going to try to get some things done! I have a few new adoptables that I've been working on that have been on the back-burner since February and I really want to get them out because I love how they turned out. I've also been working on some personal art including updating my "Spikey-bear" (Spike lol) design a bit since well, it's been 2 years since I did anything with his design. My OC Gunther has been heavily neglected and I really need to develop him more but you know, small steps.
On the by for those who may be interested in commissions, I do plan on opening up for some really soon as I feel like I'm mentally at a point where I think I can handle doing them again so if you were by any chance wanting a commission, definitely keep on the lookout for a commission journal and/or post where I will open for some slots.
Anyway, thanks for reading if you did and until then, I'll catch ya later!

'Tis My Birthday :D
Posted a year agoWell I officially have turned 33 today and it's so weird how it's on a Sunday xD
Anyway like I mentioned in my latest picture, I'm feeling a bit uncertain with how things have been going in my life as I'm not uite where I thought I would be but at the same time, I'm not too stressed because I know there is still plenty of time to get things done and I just gotta keep pushing forward.
As far as plans go, I'm just gonna have dinner with my family and then depending on how that goes, maybe buy myself a little piece of cake because why not? lol
Anyway I hope you all have a great day and thanks for reading π

Reminder of My Socials
Posted a year agoHey there guys, I just felt I should make a quick update about my current socials for anyone watching me who wants to keep up to date. After FurAffinity' hacking fiasco and the site went down, while I'm sure that the replacement owner is going to try their best to keep the site up for as long as they can, I still feel that just in case something does happen to site, for those who do enjoy my work and want to continue following, they know where to find me.
Besides FurAffinity, the only other place I'm semi-active in is Twitter though I also have BlueSky as well. I also have DeviantART and Tumblr (though not the most active here). If you're wanting to follow me on any of these other platforms, just click on my link-tree and you'll find the links to them. 'Till then though, thanks for reading! π

RIP Dragoneer
Posted a year agoI just learned about the news yesterday right when I was about to leave for work and I couldn't write my thoughts on it until now. I'm speechless to say the least, mainly when I learned how old he was when he passed. 44 years old. That's young, he still had so much life to live but just like "that", it's gone and that is just so sad.
FurAffinity, I still remember when I joined this site back in 2007and met some pretty interesting people here as well as came across a ton of artists who inspired me with my own work as well and I probably would've never found them if it wasn't for this site here. The fact that Dragoneer was able to keep this site running for as long as he did with it surviving a few property exchanges and more importantly, the explosion of Twitter's furry art section, as well as maintaining the website in feeling like an actual website and not giving in to making it run like Twitter or DeviantART Eclipse is just simply amazing.
I didn't know the man personally but his site played a huge role in my own artistic journey and the fact he kept the site up till the very end while not giving into modernizing it to operate like Twitter is one of the reasons why I still continue to use the site even after so long.
Dragoneer, you were legend, an icon, and you really did carve out a legacy that will forever live on. Thank you for all you've done
Rest well, Rest in Peace.
xxxxxxx
There's been talk going on about the future of this site and the possibility of it potentially not staying up. I hope that this doesn't happen and that the new owner(s) can manage to keep the platform up but if just to be on the safe side, you can follow me on Twitter, BlueSky, Tumblr, and DeviantART, I'll leave my linktree below

Happy New Years! + 2024 Plans
Posted 2 years agoHey there everyone, I just wanted to wish you all a happy new year and I hope that 2024 is a great year for you all!
It's very funny because it feels like 2023 was a blur and went by pretty fast even though I know that's not the case lol. 2023 was definitely a good year for me in terms of art consistent, I noticed that I was drawing a the whole year and that was pretty nice. The only drawback though was that I noticed I was drawing a lot of fanart which don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with fanart and I certainly enjoy doing it but aside from my character Spike who is a fan character, I noticed that I didn't really draw much of my original character Gunther nor did I really work on his story. For those who don't know, I have plans of making Gunther into a video game character, 3D Platformer to be specific, and I have yet to truly flesh him out beyond his design and a bit of his personality. So for 2024, I do want to try and work on him, flesh out his world and all that.
Aside from art, 2023 was an okay time for me with gaming because I finally got myself to play some games again. I finally got around to playing Primal and Medievil, two games that I was meaning to play for some time now and it felt good to finally have played them and I enjoyed them quite a bit. I got a PS5 for Christmas and I know have the chance to play Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart after putting it off for so long so I'm looking forward to finally playing it though I think I'm gonna replay the old games first since it has been a hot minute since I touched the games π I'm just hoping that I can continue getting back into gamingafter so long, it's just a matter of trying to fit it into my schedule again.
And finally, the only other plan for 2024 is opening up my own merch shop. I'm still debating on this but I think it might go through with it with Etsy and see how it goes. I'd mostly be doing some darkly-inclined and gamer/nerd type stuff, mostly stickers and charms so if that sounds interesting to you, definitely keep your eye out!
Anyway that's really all I've got for now and again, I wish you all a great New Year!
'Till then, I'll be seeing ua later!

New Drawing Tablet (sorta lol)
Posted 2 years agoHey there guys, just a little update on the art side of things. So my old tablet that I've had since 2009 has finally been showing signs of dying. The problem was that it would always disconnect every few seconds which made working on art a bit cumbersome what with always having to re-plug in the tablet and sometimes even having to reinstall the stabilizer drivers if the tablet disconnected too many times. It had actually been having this kinda problem last year but it was not as frequent as it had gotten now.
Long story short, I felt that it was time to get a replacement graphics tablet. I've had my trusty Wacom Intuos4 for almost a decade and I'm very impressed with how long it lasted but I was curious to try a different tablet as there are so many choices out there now compared to a decade ago and I've heard plenty of good things about these cheaper alternatives.
So I first tried out the Artisul M0610 and though the tablet was nicely constructed, II wasn't able to utilize the pen stabilizer in Paint Tool Sai which is the program I use to ink and color. I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong but whatever the case, it just wasn't gonna work for me because I've come to rely on the pen stabilizers to keep my inking and shading crisp. I know it's a crutch but it's the only thing that helps since I have a shaky hand and I don't have the time to try to teach myself to control my hand's shakiness
So in the end, I decided to just buy a replacement Wacom Intuos4 but secondhand as I wasn't looking to spend a ton of money after buying the Artisul. I know buying things like tablets second hand can be a gamble but I was willing to take that chance and the tablet had come into today and everything seems to be working just fine! It feels weird to obecause the tablet feels like it's new (the ad said that they didn't use it much) so the crisp texture does feel weird but I'm just so grateful that it works! So that said, I can finally get back to working on art again so expect some new stuff dropping soon, I still have some Halloween-themed pics that I'm hoping to have finished before the holiday so stay tuned for that!
Anyway thanks for reading and I'll talk to ya later!

Posted 2 years agoGenuine question. I've been trying to hone in on character design (among other things) and I'm curious what any of my active watchers think of my art and where I should try practicing more.

Female Adopts?
Posted 3 years agoHey there guys, so I'm pretty sure that most of you who have been watching my account are mainly interested in male characters and I will continue to keep making them because of course I will (haha) but I was curious if there was any interest in female adopts? I've had some ideas in my head but I wanted to be sure if there was an audience among those who watch me who would be interested in that.

Preferences On Art Uploads?
Posted 3 years agoSo I was curious to hear from those who watch my account on whether they prefer just seeing my usual muscle and femboy type art or if you don't mind also seeing my non muscle or femboy related art like personal projects based on concepts and whatnot. I've been debating on whether I should keep my acocunt varied like it is or if I should just keep it streamlined to the usual themes I draw
Any feedback is greatly appreciated

Anyway things have been okay I guess, just still trudging with life balancing the work life and art so can't really complain lol.
I would've done a birthday themed picture for myself but I've been so busy with things that I wasn't able to but ah well, maybe next year heh.
Anyway hope you all have a great day!

Are you still interested in Femboy designs?
Posted 3 years agoI've been working on a few femboy type character designs for adopts but I was curious if anyone still watching me are into that. I realize I've been drawing a lot of muscle art for a good while and I've been wanting to dive back into femboy type stuff for awhile but was curious if anyone was still interested in that haha.

So I watched Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2022) And...
Posted 3 years agoSo I saw Sonic the Hedgehog 2 last night and I gotta say, despite going in thinking that it wasn't gonna be all that good, I'm actually surprised to say that I actually did enjoy it quite a bit! I gotta admit that I honestly wasn't a huge fan of the first film, it just felt too... Well I dunno the right word to describe it but I just wasn't really into it as much as others were. I saw so many people hyping that movie up, saying it was the "best video game adaptation" movie ever made and I just couldn't get behind that sentiment at all, to me it was average at best and a "meh" at worst.
However the sequel? Boy was it a huge improvement over the first film. I think what really helped make me come around to enjoying it so much was the inclusion of Tails and Knuckles, it felt nice to have more familiar faces alongside Sonic. Tails and Knuckles were both portrayed nicely, the voice actors did a great job with them and it was awesome that they kept the characters in check with their video game personalities and they surprisingly really jibed in well with the live action universe. I also thought it was cool how they were able to write plausible background stories to work with this universe, especially with Knuckles the Echidna tribe. Knuckles though was an adorable delight and he acts how I would've expected him to act in Sonic 3 as being a person who isn't very versed in modern culture and slowly tries to adapt in his own way.
I wasn't too wild about the mini side plot with Rachel's wedding and the whole Madea Tyler Perry antics but I will give a nod that the twist with her fiance to-be was a neat little spoiler nod to the next movie where I'm sure he's gonna play a part in. I admit thought that while I wasn't too wild with having humans being so involved as main characters, I have kinda came around to Tom and Maddie being parental figures to Sonic. It still feels weird, I won't lie but it doesn't really bother me as much as it did in the first film where everything felt a bit forced.
Jim Carrey as Robotnik once again did a decent job. It's still weird not seeing Dr. Robotnik as an overweight man but Jim Carrey does have some charisma so it's not the worst portrayal that it could've been. It was also VERY COOL how they incorporated the Death Egg into the movie, I was expecting they would but holy heck did it look rather awesome, kudos to the CGI on that monstrosity. In fact I think it's cool that they were able to have this movie try to blend both Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 into one movie because it flowed together rather well and I understand why they went this route instead of doing Sonic 2 as a full on tribute film as they were able to knock out two game plotlines with one stone.
My only complaint with this movie is the lack of more Sonic music which seems to be a popular opinion among many who watched the movie. But it's true, there were so many missed opportunities for some Sonic VGM songs. The one that really stuck out to me from the get-go was during the snow mountain snowboard scene, I was totally expecting that they were gonna play the Snowboarding theme from Sonic Adventure. Heck even if it was a remix, that would've been perfect! Or in the ruins scene, they were gonna play something like Rock Chase Lost World theme from Sonic Adventure or Aquatic Ruins theme from Sonic 2. Or in the confrontation with the Death Egg, the themes from either Sonic 2 or Sonic 3. Even if they were remixed composed, that would've been so awesome to have instead of the generic orchestral scores we got or the pop culture reference songs. Sorry but the Green Hill Zone theme is not the only iconic Sonic theme and I wish they would acknowledge the other great songs from Sonic's music library. So yeah, total missed opportunity in the music department there.
But oh man that ending credits scene. I was tearing up during it because they totally nailed the feeling of what it's like playing the classic Sonic games for the first time. I'm not gonna act like I grew up with the classic trilogy because I didn't, I didn't have a Sega console in the 90s and my first Sonic game was Sonic Advance but still, I remember how excited I felt when I first played the classic trilogy and that ending credits scene, BOY did it hit the feels in such a good way. And boy that ending scene... I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda scared but I'm also kinda excited for it too.
All in all, while the movie isn't perfect, I actually had a lot of fun with this one and for once I can say I actually liked it and that I think it's a rather great Video Game adaptation film. I'm so looking forward to the third movie!
