Posted 3 weeks agoLife update: its october and its a hard month for me over all, this tuesday will make 13 years since my mom died, and this year will be my first year with out my grandma here for my birthday, thanksgiving, or christmas, all these things this year together have been making me sluggish and slower with work, but this is my job, and people have been really kind to me ever since i started doing commissions, even with all the things ive had happen. my life isnt any harder than anyone else but the feelings to what happen in my life are common and i hope sharing my life sometimes helps someone else.
Ive been living alone since april, commissions have been helping me pay bills since, but due to (and i will blame AI for this) a increasing water bill which went up from $50 to $73 dollars. This water bill as far as i know has not risen this high in my life. and its not just me it is town wide. Electric bills will go up next, and soon the gas bill will start to come into play ($200-$350). Obviously these are basic bills not including food for me or my cat, im on the search for another job since everyday i dont do a commission is a day where i bring in nothing vs going to a job and just getting paid to be there. Im hoping that this temporary drop in prices helps me finish off this month, will i wait to hear back from this job.

Posted 4 months agoI know ive been getting some new watchers, and, maybe some people who dont follow me on twitter and have been curious about what ive been up to.
Well anyway, the last few months have given me way to much mental and emotional stress.
My grandma died, she was 90, i watched it happen... idk how to explain seeing that happen.
I was able to leave the place i was baby sitting in, and get a car. Finding a job outside of my house is starting to feel like a scam to just get peoples information to sell it (im really upset i get another job rn).
Commissions havent been coming in for the past few months, its a bit harder now, having a car takes more money then it can bring in sometimes depending on what you do for work.
Ive had some really nice people donate to help me with small things like gas, or food during really tough times between commissions. And if gas wasnt so high id enjoy going out to do things a bit more.
Ive been keeping up with sketching in books when the mood hits me, it feels like good practice.

Added 1/5/22Commissions will now require a 48-hour notice of cancelation, if cancelation happen without 48-hour notice you will be charged a fee.
Wips:
WIPs are for you as a customer to keep up with the creative process and voice opinions on possible changes that need to be made before the piece is finished. Wips are included in all purchases EXCEPT ARTISTIC FREEDOM.
Once the piece has been finished to your liking, and the full file has been sent I will not be making further edits to the piece such as changes to the pose, color, or characters over all appearance. If your characters design changes after the piece had already been completed (i.e. they went from having long hair to short hair), I am not obligated to change the artwork.
I hold the right to refuse or charge extra for changes to finished works that are not a fault of my own.

Keep in consideration: The amount of time it takes to complete a commission is partly up to the commissioner and how quickly a response is given in the WIP stages in order for me to proceed to the other stages, as well as complexity of a piece.
Complexity increases with things such as multiple characters, backgrounds, intricate designs or clothing, wings, ect. As well as things i may not be completely familiar with drawing and contribute to overall price.

Posted 2 years agoAll commissions are postponed until further notice, after five years of being with the same person they have decided to leave me... im not okay. I have to move, i cant still live here with them if we arnt together it would hurt to much, im so so so tired and overwhelmed with everything right now.
worst day of my life so far (story)
Posted 5 years agosince last week, my car has been having trouble, it already had an oil leak when i got it but it wasnt super bad, its been going on for a year and im just now having the worst of the trouble with it.
So im also looking for apartments, and its like everything i have planned gets attacked. As i got my birth certificate for one of my applications, on the way back home my car battery died, a police officer offers to jump the car but that doesnt work so its the alternator. I have to leave my car parked at this church over night, hen get towed the next morning. I dont deal with mechanics alot so i always worried imma get cheated. But lucky me, my fiance (who knows nothing about cars) and my brother (who just sorta helped with observation) managed to put a new alternator in the car, it took a week, and had to get a new battery the very next day.
We took it for a short test drive, and everything was good and we are happy and dancing around, so we decide to get up early and take the applications in for the apartments (yesterday). So we are riding and i notice the car is moving weird, im thinking the cars gonna stall out on me, but as i pull over to a gas station, i noted we have a flat, at first glace we didnt see in puncture of tear but when my finance put air in the tire we noticed one. we tried fix a flat and some thick duck tape but nothing worked. so then the panic sets in because my tires are locked on and need a special "key" to get them off.
Now the key to do this was in the car the whole time and i didnt know that was what it was, it was just a weird metal piece to me. so im calling towing places asking people for rides because i think i have to buy one of these keys, not knowing i had it the whole time, my fiances dad even came and helped. after we figured out we had the key the whole time to put the spare tire on.
I had called 2 tow places both of which was busy and one of them was under police investigation, but they directed me to another guy, he came anf finished changing the tire for us, and offered to get us a new tire put on at his shop.
Things were looking up, until they feel down. I told the tow guy to head to the shop and we will meet him there, we had to put air in the spare tire but it was almost like new. so we ride and we get 5 minutes up the road before i notice the car is over heating, ITS NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE!! so i have to pull over again, call the tow guy back, and now get the tow. he takes us to his shop, and looks at our car and tells us the radiator is gonna have to be changed.... im in full panic because from 10 am to almost 5 pm i have been stranded 2 times, had a tire replaced and need actual work done on the car. the guy and his crew were very nice, but i had to make sure be getting this done was gonna be worth the money because ive been saving up for an apartment, so im calling my god dad and my brother because they know about cars, so i can get advice. my dad tells me to go ahead and pay for it, my brother wanted me to wait til he got there cause he was at work. I knew as soon as i told the guy to go get the piece and put it on my brother was gonna call. and thats EXACTLY what happened, and through all this other miscommunication and back and forth they ended up fixing the care and changing the radiator, by 9:30 pm. i hadnt eaten any real food until 10 pm, but the car works, and everything we had to get done, the tow, the tire, the service, the radiator, all cost me about 500 dollars, which is great for the round about way we had to get everything done. but now im almost flat broke, and will be doing commisssions until i make the money back up and may even do some raffles

Leveling up (a long journal i dont expect anyone to read)
Posted 5 years agoHi everyone, it's your favorite reclusive eevee coming to just type up thoughts and stuff i have, feel free to read or comment but this is more so just me, talking to a wall really, about my art, and style, and future development.
alright so i REALLY want to level up my art, ive noticed ive gotten better, faster even, at some of the commissions i do and even personal projects, but im gonna let you in on a secret, other than pokemon, i really dont have alot of inspirations for my art work, like i dont really watch anime anymore and i hardly read manga now, (but beastars and kevin and kell are amazing, also made in abyss, i need to find where to read that), and even artist i follow on FA or IB ok E6 even IG (furaffinity E621 inkbunny and instagram) i have the hardest time being like "wow thats a style i wanna emulate and make my own". like i can name some artist i love to see work from but i think im so lazy to study them and their work, which is hard for some people to say, but i say it about myself cause i wanna change that. I was really into
slugbox and his work, i find myself on IG looking at carles_dalmau, s0s2tagram, ibu_chuan, lanajay_art, peachcosmos, so on so on, i follow less than 200 people on IG hahah. As far as FA i really love

IVAN-JHANG like theres more, but these people do things in their art that i just love, between keeping it simple to doing the most extra stuff with fur color lighting or background details, i love it, i live for it, they'll probably never see this but omg youre awesome.
I wanna over haul my art style, i wanna do something new for me, not sure how to start or go about it, i wanna start going back to the old way i developed my comic, which i actually did traditionally, and finally after almost 4 years i got to 50 pages, which isnt that great hahaha. i want to find a more sustainable way to do my comic, like keep it in that happy medium of detailed but not complex.
I'll probably be doing studies, i might even start doing commissions for peoples characters in their favorite anime style or cause i want to practice, but i also need money cause i may quit my job soon im not sure yet (hate fastfood work~)
I have no idea how to get started, but im probably gonna spend alot of time watching the above names work for ways to simulate them into my own work.
