Article 13 - Election Month
Posted 6 years ago LINK TO PETITION FOR NEW DIRECTIVE TO REPEL THE COPYRIGHT DIRECTIVE
Link to StopACTA2 Discord Server
Alright, it is May and thus it has begun.
Yes, the Copyright Directive was voted in by both Parliament and Council in the EU. Yes, they ignored all our protests and warnings, they shrugged us off while calling us everything from bots, mobs to freaking jihadists, while catering to their own private profit and agendas. They forced in the TERREG which is just the demand of censorship and filtering they lied to not be included in the Copyright Directive, just using new taglines for excuses to try and control the public's outcry. They proved their hold on the newspapers and public press to try and silence us.
They did all this... while ignoring the most important of our warnings.
We are not bots. We are not a blind, angry mob they can insult and ignore.
We are... VOTERS.
We told them that from the very start! We are the public, the people, the citizens. They proved to us, they are not our representatives. They got used to the ideas of being representatives in the EU made them invulnerable, that they are untouchable dictators as long they bow to the Council. But now it's our time to remind them, that it is not so.
It is May. If you are European Citizen, and of voting age, this is your time. All over the Internet you can find lists with the names of MEP's who was in favour of the Copyright Directive and its broken articles. It is time we make truth of our threat. Members of the EU Parliament we at least get a say over. Time to kick out the traitors who sold us out for personal gain and a freaking Russian gas pipeline. Time to vote in people we have a better chance of listening to us. People who can help dismantling the broken Copyright Directive and TERREG before it is given a chance to do permanent damage to free speech as we know it on the Internet.
For once, go vote. For once, don't vote blank. Actually go and VOTE. All of our effort so far hasn't been in vain, despite what some people will try and claim, considering the results. We still had been heard, and the more they try to silence us, the more it proves we need to keep speaking up.
Not European Citizen or of voting age? Keep on spreading the word. Keep reminding people the fight is still going on. This is something that WILL affect us all over the long run. We are talking about the freedom of the GLOBAL Internet here. We are all into this together.
Thank you for taking your time to read this. I might be getting tired myself, but the fight isn't over just yet.

Article 13 - Our Fight Was Not In Vain

NEW PETITION TO DEMAND A REVOTE
The Copyright Directive was passed by both Parliament and Council in the EU. One of history's largest petition was ignored, the protests in the streets shrugged off, all for personal agendas.
But we have NOT lost, our efforts WEREN'T in vain!
LINK TO ARTICLE BY JULIA REDA, which explains well where we are now and why the fight wasn't in vain despite the EU's final decision. We did force them to make changes to lessen the blow, we did put on a show to prove we do not accept this dictatorship!
May is big election month. If you are European Citizen, and of voting age, it's time to go to the booths! We can now kick out the MEP's who betrayed us for personal gain, and vote in those who supports the people they are meant to represent. With enough on our side, they can start the process of dismantling the broken Copyright Directive and work on an actual proper copyright reform without the everyday Internet user paying for it.
There are lists online telling you which of your representatives are traitors and which are worth keeping. THIS is what they should have feared when we protested in the streets. We told them, we are their VOTERS. No excuses can change our course, they have shown their true colours.

Sexy Suggestions
Posted 6 years agoWelp, tumblr is no longer an option to ask for NSFW ideas to draw because I don't have enough imagination myself for it, just 'cuz tumblr decided it must be family friendly and now allow any competition for the pornbots.
Gonna try it like this. No longer a dedicated day for Saturday, this will just be whenever I feel like I wanna draw something saucy. These will be merely SUGGESTIONS not requests. If I don't pick your idea, then that's it. I draw what I want.
Rules:
- SUGGESTIONS not REQUESTS. Deal with it.
- No impatient "when you gonna draw..?", I draw whatever and whenever I want. I owe you nothing.
- By personal bias, suggestions including canon characters and/or my own OC's or OC's belonging to others I've already been shown drawing before, are most likely to be drawn. "DRAW MA OC" will be a limited success depending on the accessibility of any refs and whether or not I can actually get a feel of what kind of character it is through minor, shallow research. These are not commissions, so I'm allowed to be lazy.
- No need to be character specific though, can also just be asking for certain kinks. But I'm free to not draw something I find unpleasant.
So far, that's pretty much it. Suggest away whatever stuff you might wanna see.

CONTACT YOUR MEP's
On March 21st, several websites will blackout in protest of the Directive, such as Wikipedia.
Then on March 23rd, everyone who's following groups such as STOPACTA2 or SaveYourInternet will take to the streets and let their voices be heard, all over Europe. Proving we are not bots, but actual, real people in large numbers dissatisfied with being ignored and dismissed. Check the sites to find any demonstrations nearby that you can join.
This coming week will be what determines the future of our Internet.
Give them hell!
#SaveYourInternet and #StopACTA2 once and for all!
Clocks a ticking. Contact your MEP's and get them to join Pledge2019 , we need to ensure the Copyright Directive gets voted down before it does lasting damage to the Internet! This is and will be a global issue, as American leaders are eyeing and supporting the directive in hope to get to destroy net neutrality finally, for sake of censorship and profit. This is our push to be heard, to tell these officials that they CANNOT push their own agenda over the heads of the people!

Yeah, still going on with the #SaveYourInternet. EU is still working on processing Article13, making plenty of the other articles pretty terrible deals too. The rewording they have been working on NOT making things better.
What is needed is to keep putting pressure on the respective MEP's representing you, to make them understand this isn't what they people want nor needs. What is needed is to stop this crazy copyright directive, as it'll be a disaster for everyone. The Internet doesn't just consist of Google, Amazon and Youtube, it's a huge web of MILLION tiny bits making a whole. It's a free forum for EVERYONE not just some one sided business.
Pledge2019 is an initiative to pressure the MEP's further. Adding their names on the Pledge will show they people they are on our side. If emailing or tweeting them hasn't been helping, it's time for more direct approaches and call them. Which that link will help you with. Make them understand the Internet is a place for the PEOPLE and will not work under the bad algorithms and underdeveloped filters the EU wants to enforce.
And again, even you are non European? This is still affecting you, these rules are to be enforced upon global sites. Either they'll have to follow the new directives, or be forced to block out all European content and users. Including content and friends you enjoy.
You can still help, by spreading the word, to reach out to all Europeans and help give them the means to stand up and join the cause. Every effort counts. Time is running out!

#Article13 is being tweaked as we speak, but not for the better. To #SaveYourInternet from #EU we still need to get through to the supposed leaders that the Internet is not broken and very definitely not to be "fixed" like THAT!
Spread the news, sign the petition, voice your concern and let us hope we can force the EU to actually LISTEN to the people and not just the echoes of their own voices!

EU is still working on passing Article 13, even though they have moved the deadline. The current revisions they are doing are just to sate certain businesses while still making a terrible deal.
We still got time to gather enough voices to let the EU know they can't fix something they don't understand through terribly vague filtering that'll benefit nobody.
Even if you are not European, it can still effect you. Sites risk being blocked or just taken down, content creators disappear as their livelihood gets copyright slammed by bad censor filters, there are many bad outcomes this can bring. Even American sites can be forced to follow Article 13 to stay International, or they'll just lock out the European users and you'll then learn what sites and what creators you never realized weren't American.
Sign the petition if you can, or just help spread the word.
Thank you

Blood Bank Myths
Posted 14 years agoHey, I am a typical curious person. My mom took back her "there are no stupid questions" ideology years ago, as a result of my curiousity about all kinds of things. So, now YOU just have to suffer for it!! :evillaugh:
Ahem, the curiousity about this subject was started by my teacher. I'm a proud blood donor and always try to recruit more people to donate blood to the blood bank. Since I changed school building this year, I asked my teacher if I could put up some posters about blood donation to try catch people who were interested.
Her first reaction was to refuse. Because she somehow imagined such posters would be gorery and bloody with needles and all the kinds of things people find unpleasent about such a subject. I was really surprised. That's not what blood donation is about and definitely not how the blood banks would try to advertise themselves to get more donors. And we are talking about a teacher here, who has been working as such longer than I have lived. She did allow me to do it in the end and had to admit the poster in question was NOT an unpleasant sight at all.
But it made me curious. I have yet to find someone willing to donate blood as I do among the people I meet IRL. Everyone seems to find it too unpleasant to consider. I can't help but wonder what people actually think about it and what parts they might imagine on their own. I wonder about the myths.
So.. you people wanna share that with me? If you feel an unpleasant chill at the mention of Blood Banks and donation, tell me what your first thoughts are about it. What is it you imagine about these things, what makes you comfortable about it? Help me understand and I'll try see if I can clear some things up like with my teacher.
Thanks!
Blood Bank Chills:
I'm afraid of needles.
What I mostly hear as reason why people don't like the thought of donating blood. Yes, needles are scary, but not worse than getting a shot or tattoo. Okay, the needle is a bit bigger than an injection needle because they want blood to flow through it. But it only hurts at the first prick and the people handling the needles are all trained nurses. They are trained to keep you calm and comfortable through the process. You maximum get pricked twice at a donation. One smaller needle for a quick blood sample if you got a history of low percent (like me) to make sure you are fit to donate. And then the drain needle if you are accepted.
I might faint, I need to lie down.
Fact: You DO lie down through the whole process. You'll be asked to lay down and get comfy and most importantly to stay put. You are also told to stay down for at least 10-15 minutes for your body to recover, before getting up and going. And still, professional nurses will be watching over you through it all.
The thought of having my blood removed makes me nervous.
But it is not dangerous. They only take maximum half a liter of your blood and only from the most healthy people. They test your blood percent as mentioned above to make sure your body can handle the drain without getting sick. If it is too low, you are sent back home with advices on what you can do to get it better. They also offer free treats of all kinds through the donation to keep your body balanced as they drain that half liter. So it's nothing dangerous or they wouldn't do it.
