I've been walking into livestreams and it's so intimidating in each one. It's just full of close friends of the moderator who simply make a circle and no one but a few select people are a part of throughout the entire stream. They literally go out of their way to ostracize other visitors by not interacting with them or simply going silent.
I watched as like 7 randoms came in a stream and said hi and the main friends of the host simply white noised em out. I couldn't help but think the livestream social media is just a facade.
I'm understanding of it being about the drawings, but i believe a larger social environment would facilitate a much better stream.
People like having a good time when they're at a place, and no offense, but seeing a drawing get made isn't the most exciting thing in the world. When you have the artist talking to you, and other people talking to you and the artist about fun things, it's a totally different world. I've seen these successful streams where because it was so fun the artist decided it would be a great idea to stay up for an extra 5 hours to keep the fun running.
But this is merely insight from a watchers point of view.
