This is just a rant. If you're spiritual, you may want to skip this, but most likely, it wont matter to you, since this is probably fringe spirituality. Also it might get long and horribly personal.

Now, normally, I am quite open to the idea of enlightenment. I have (and I admit, it was mostly in adolescent rebellion) the satanic bible, but was mostly unmoved by its words. After the rejection of both the Judeo-Christian beliefs and the 'satanic' teaching of Le Vay, I briefly touched on animism, the concept of a spirit world and spirits, power animals, that. I soon grew tired of it. Throughout most of this time I engaged in the I guess Wiccan practice of Tarot reading, and later in my high school years the use of the Ouija board to divine spirits and stuff. Mostly it was just for fun. Part of me felt there was something, but there was always my more rational side. As of now I am too busy for all of that. I appreciate bits and pieces of most paths, but am too busy to commit to any specific one. In the future I doubt I will.

And now, as I have told you about my backgrounds in this topic, I will cut to the chase. A friend of mine, possibly one of the only ones I still regularly talk to, who has recently moved in with us, has been searching for his spiritual side. When he first moved in, he was focusing on Buddhism, which I was happy with. He had seemed to really calm down from when I had last saw him, during which he was fucked up on coke and speed and god knows what. We had a small group meditation session, it was nice, calming. Recently however, he switched over to reading my book on power animals and a druidic tarot book and card set I own. He started looking into this due to his celtic and therefore druidic roots. That was also ok. He went to an 'authentic' native american booth at a mall and bought a tooth necklace and a peace pipe. I didn't mention to him that I saw a sticker on half the stuff there that said "made in Guatemala." This was ok.

Now, I am told by my roommate that he has been staying up, turning on every light in the house, barely saying a word other than to tell her that he's seeing angels and demons, and that while meditating he made contact with something that he shouldn't have. Which, while my roommate was trying to ask what was wrong, was speaking through her, and she KNEW what was happening. I wasn't there, and I'm regretting it. He apparently kept her up until around 8 am, keeping the lights on the entire time even though she repeatedly asked him to turn them off.

After she told me this, I was very concerned. The day goes on. He says nary a word to me, a few mumblings here and there. Previously he had mentioned a friend of his whom I know, as one of his spiritual helpers. And as such, I talk to him on The Dreaded FaceBook. And as such, I get into the real reason for my little rant.

This guy, when I ask what exactly my roommate (lets call him Joe) is getting into. This guy (whom we will call Stupid Hippy Douche) tells me "you have to wait for the answers to come to you." This discussion goes on for a while, with him mostly making no point whatsoever other than that I am unenlightened and will never understand. I just say that I am worried about my friend, I want him to be ok in life, and so on and so on. after a while it climaxes in, and I quote, "you, your disgusting, and you call yourself a friend whatever man. make your own choices and decisions, but your selfishness is enough, to make one want to vomit. have a good night." After this he blocked and deleted me from The Dreaded Facebook.

Now, I'm not sure, but really, is caring for my friend really that selfish? We are giving him a fucking place to live, this is more than that Stupid Hippy Douche has ever done for him. We are trying to help him get his high school diploma, and save up so he might be able to not have to depend on people.

It's all fine and dandy to be searching for spirituality, but really, this has got Joe acting like a schizophrenic. Me and Fetus are pretty scared, not only for him, but Joe is into martial arts, could easily hurt either of us, not to mention we saw that he had one of our kitchen knives stashed in his room. As of such, I am concerned for our safety a little.

He had also left a conversation open on Fetus' computer. This conversation had to do with "The Source" and some form of astral projection, as well as Fetus being possessed or something by an evil spirit.

Shit, I'm sorry, I have turned this rant into me just whining about this. Well, as of such, I am sick of these "enlightened" individuals, these people who treat everyone else like they're scum, just because they don't believe in some shit that the "superior" person came up with while they were fucked up on weed, acid, salvia, shrooms, whatever. I'm sorry to all the recreational drug users out there, but I honestly don't believe that drugs bring enlightenment. They may change your perspective, but I don't believe they bring enlightenment. And I'm not some innocent drug virgin who just is all "no drugs". I have made my share of my mistakes. The reason I add that last part, is that SHD is a pretty big user.

I'm sorry if I appeared to have changed writing contexts during this, I had to hide it when Joe came into the room. Also I should note that even if he came into the room for a bit, he wouldn't say a word. He actually told me to shush when I told him not to wear a wet shirt when we went for a walk a few minutes ago. Jesus, I just didn't want him to catch a cold!

UPDATE: A few hours after this jpurnal was posted we had to take Joe to the hospital. He is still there. We're waiting for a crisis team and a psychologist to check him out.

I'm currently in a town 15 minutes away from Red Deer, at my parents new house, house-and-dogsitting for them while they're up in Fort Mac.

Main reason for my disappearance is... THEY DONT HAVE INTERNET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, well they do, but its in the basement, and its not wireless and for some reason my macbook decided to hate ethernet cables and not work with them.

Emotionally, I'm doing pretty good. Doubled the dosage of my medication, seems to be working very well. However, a few days ago I had a panic attack and became agoraphobic for a bit. But meh. I'm better now. I've been very ... not craving real social interaction, just been content talking with a few people that I really care about, and online friends (WHO I ALSO CARE ABOUT!). There is one thing that has me (surprise!) feeling up. I've met someone that I really like... and who actually really likes me back (holy shit thats a first!). and he doesn't live in like america or anything... is going to be moving 2 hours away from Red Deer :3
Artwise, I've been doodling at work, I've got one picture that I'm inking, was exploring trying to make my 'sona look a little more.. mature. SWEATERVESTS!

Yeah... its been a while
A few things have gone down, I've been really busy and stuff

I haven't had a lot of time for myself, my subscribed lists are so fucking high, its not funny. nearly 900 messages.

Mostly it's been because of the brief addition of another friend living with me, one that I had to babysit all the time. Now she's buggered off somewhere with my camera. Which I kinda need to photograph my portfolio. That whole scenario caused me a lot of stress. But whatever. I wont get into it here.

I've been trying to relax, but I'm always tense. Gritting my teeth and biting my lip all the time, its starting to hurt haha. In a few days I'm going to finish the process of doubling my medication, but the downside to that is, my healthcare runs out in a few months. So I will have to pay for my medication, which is over $200 a month. Combined with my wisdom teeth removal that if I don't get booked I will have to pay for.
Meh, I shouldn't be complaining. Other places have it worse.
Work is... ok. its very tiring, but I like my coworkers, and I need the money. During my break I draw, hopefully I will finish something soon.
Emotionally I'm pretty... unstable. some period of lows, but thats life.
I went back to Red Deer last weekend, and I really miss it. That place has become more of a home to me than the house I've lived in since I was 5.

 tenshisirius has left back home, so I'm now alone... getting pretty lonely, though appreciating having a room to myself again.

I went to the psychologist today, and since it was our first meeting she couldn't really provide much insight, but she thinks I have an anxiety disorder... which I can believe. The dosage of my pills is being doubled in a few weeks to see if I react positively to it. She also thinks a lot of my stress is caused by the fact that I can't tell my family that I'm gay and all that stuff.

As for my mood, its better than it was, but not overly great.

Yessir, yesterday (June 12th, I'm horrible technical when it comes to time <3) was my birthday.
How was it?
Well, the beginning of the day, that is, around 1 am, I was horribly depressed. Had gotten into a bit of a verbal scuffle with a friend. Ended up blocking him. Meh. I've had a shitty past few days. Nothings really making me content for longer than an hour. I went to the beach with a few friends, we had fun. After we got back though, the depression sunk back in. I tried to have a good time, so that my friends would not worry, but I ended up just faking it. I do not blame them saying that they were boring or anything (I need to put this out there because they will end up reading it I bet XD), its me. Like, some good stuff has happened too, but I just can't feel it. I just.. always feel down. Partly it's the loneliness I'm feeling, even if I'm surrounded by friends, I still feel... alone. Not only is it "damn, I wish I had a fucking boyfriend" its... I don't feel like I can talk to them, ever since I started getting this way with the depression, I can never bring myself to talk to them about how I actually feel. I'm always afraid that I will scare them away by opening up to them. Faking a smile just isn't to keep my parents from being worried anymore, its to keep my friends from really understanding me. I know it's not good to do this, but I'm scared of what they will do. The first time I ever really opened up to someone, they told me to stop fucking complaining, that I was just being a loser drama queen. I guess I never really got over the fact that no matter who I talked to, nobody cared. I know its not that way now... but still.... I'm scared.
Back to my birthday... I find it a little sad that I got an email from a forum I never go on wishing me a happy birthday before my parents call me to wish me a happy birthday. They were the last people to do so. My siblings did not, but they have families, so they're busy with their own lives. My parents are both out of town. They neglected to tell me that they would not be here until Monday... My mother went for surgery on her kidneys, which went smoothly I am glad, I can understand that she could not be here because she is still in a bit of pain. My dad is in Toronto on a golfing trip.
I'm not gonna lie... it's better to have parents forgetting your name when they wish you a happy birthday, or have them not remember at all, but still be around, then to not have them at all.
I'm thinking of not finishing my Bachelors of Fine Arts and just going to the Vancouver Film School for animation, I've recently had a large interest in it, and it would be quicker, and I would come out with a portfolio of work that I would actually be able to send into an animation studio...
I've been having bad dreams lately... A good nights rest would be much appreciated right now. A few nights ago I was aching really bad, had a fever, and a headache. I went to bed. I dreamt that I ended up actually having AIDS. I was really fucking scared.

Well, I guess it's time for some updates about my lame boring fail-life


Emotionally... I'm pretty depressed.
Not really suicidal or that, but... apathy is setting in.
I just don't care about my own life anymore... In a way that I would prefer it to end, but I don't have the energy to do it myself. My alienation is becoming much more... noticeable to me, I barely feel any connection to the people around me. My relationships with some of my old friends has gone down the drain, but I guess thats expected to happen after high school (though I didn't think it would happen so fast). I'm sleeping more and more, just not interested in being awake. Nothing really... satisfying happens. My tremors have been getting worse, disproving my parents theory that it was because of me not eating. My urge to have violent outbursts is also getting a bit worse (I don't actually have the violent outbursts... its just sort of like... I look at something, and have the urge to tear the fuck out of it, fling it across the room, etc.). I'm worried about the future, as always, not sure what's going to happen, all of that jazz. Worried about dying before I accomplish anything in life, worried that nobody will care when I die.
My doctor forwarded my referral to a psychologist in town and I got in, so I wont be having to travel 5 hours to go to a shrink. My first appointment is on the 16th. I really want some help, I don't want to be like this anymore.
Still lonely as fuck, as always. But, thats to be expected, I am back in Fort McMurray. My sexual drive is going up and down... periods of complete disinterest combined with periods of horniness. It's not very fun.
I'm also still jobless. I've handed out a ton of resumes and shit, to places that have said they were hiring, but I have not gotten any calls. I'm really pissed about that. I came back here to get a job and save up some money... and I haven't made a dime.

I'll try to get on drawing more, I've just not had the inspiration to do it lately.

GOOD NEWS THOUGH
I contacted my department head, to talk to him about the class that I failed, which was listed as a requirement for the classes I'm taking next semester. He said that he would omit the requirement for me as long as I worked super ultra hard. I have to take the class to graduate, but, if everything works out well, I will be able to take it during the winter semester and graduate from this place on time!
And I checked in with the University of Alberta and they seemed pretty slack about transfers.
So thats good

MEH NEWS NOW
I went to the doctors today, this doctor is the one who has known me for a long time so I trust him, I talked to him about my head and my shakes and my appetite and stomach and such, he told me that he doesn't think that the prozac is working anymore, so he's referring me to a psychologist to get re-evaluated and hopefully become somewhat stable.
The only problem is, none of the psychs here are accepting new patients, so I have to go to Edmonton.
That is 5 hours away.
OH WELL, they at least sell art supplies there.
