After talking with a friend I've decided I really have... a lot of rebuilding to do.

I have a Carrd in the works but I am not very good at designing a website + I need more examples to streamline it a bit so in the mean time I've fixed this one since it's right here, built-in and convenient.

I'm just sitting at home full-time right now scribbling away on my tablet so all of my focus and attention can go to commissions as I'm trying to use my art as my soul source of income. I put the work in 5 days a week (I take the weekends off) for around 6 hours a day, more if I'm into what I'm doing and that's the schedule I have myself on.

I know my prices got a huge bump for anyone who paid attention and I apologize. I'm trying to make it worth my while and art is not as easy as it once was for me. My ability to focus is very finicky, I'm slower... But on the other side of that I've gotten a little bit better and hope to keep growing in leaps and bounds. Ok so I have a SERIOUS computer problem that started up on Christmas day.
I'm gonna copy/paste a summary of what happened and what's been going on since then.
copy/paste:
All right so. I simply went to turn on my computer Christmas day because I wanted to grab a password for my nintendo account. It turned on fine, but during the loading screen where it shows the HP logo before trying to boot up windows it blue screened with the :( face and gave me the error that windows was unable to start correctly-- so the system restarted itself to see if that would fix the problem. Trying to load windows resulted in a blue screen again-- and that's when it started doing its automatic start up repair function which also could not fix it. The computer brought up a blue screen where I could access options to try to fix the problem via system restore, factory reset, load via DVD or USB, etc. Well the first thing my roommate tried was a system restore to keep all of my files. When it finished it was able to boot windows again. I didn't trust the problem was fixed, however. That same day I eventually turned the PC off and back on to test it. Problem started all over.
I gave in and tried a factory reset. This had seemingly fixed the problem until TODAY. [Last Thursday]
The only difference between Christmas and today is that I had used my laptop just yesterday without problems or any signs of damage, viruses, whatever. I had in fact done extensive virus scanning on Christmas once the comp was able to load windows just to see if there was something hiding that might be the culprit. But nothing turned up. I use Vipre as my main virus program and Malwarebytes as a backup. I ran scans for both. Nothing.
Today, the problem began much the same way it did on Christmas. Innocently powered on laptop. Laptop blue screened when trying to load windows. This time when I got to the start up options screen. I chose the Start up repair tool which is seemingly different from the protocol the system automatically runs after a regular restart does not help. The start up repair tool scans for possible errors [claiming it could take up to an hour] then attempts to repair them.
When it finished this the laptop went back to loading with the HP logo. and went into loading up windows without problem.
Should I just never turn my computer off again to skirt around this problem? Is that unhealthy for my PC?
MMmmmm....I forgot. When checking things-- Chrome would not open I think. Either that or it did but two of my extensions said they were corrupted. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled... I DON'T know if this has anything to do with anything. I don't know if they were corrupted before the PC refused to boot windows. But after doing the system restore to attempt to fix it, I saw those things in Chrome.

TODAY. [last Thursday] I'm clicking on Chrome right now and it won't open.

I've not turned it off since last Thursday. It's an HP Pavilion laptop running Windows 10. I've only had it for about 3 years now. Not turning it off is well and good but what about when things need the computer to restart to update? ;; I believe even restarting the system will make windows tank. I've not tried testing it once I got it back up last Thursday. I don't wanna have to deal with another factory reset if the start up repair tool doesn't work this time. ;
+ Plus I find no options that lets me prevent Windows 10 from doing automatic updates that want you to restart your PC.. BI

I'm not using Chrome anymore-- I'm actually using a browser called Opera which technically uses the same engine as Chrome, Chromium. Hoping it has lesser problems, though.
IS there anyone out there who has some knowledge on this problem? I'd greatly appreciate the insight.

Wowwie... Well I've not really been affected by the attack, just a loss of notifs and a watcher or two.
I feel really bad for everyone who was in the middle of commissions, auctions, etc. though. I sincerely hope the buyers get back to you guys to pick up where things left off.
Having to re-upload artwork also sucks. :c

If you haven't already I strongly suggest having back up plans other than FA OR conducting business strictly through an email and paypal for comms, adopts, etc.
So you don't risk losing your transaction emails and what not.

Life update:

I'm completely done with school. I'm going to be graduating from the coleg on the 26th and after that come the end of June..? .. I'll hopefully be moving with the help of a friend to live together with them in an apartment.

I'm very much praying for it to happen and for things to work out because I'm tired of being in the same space as my parents.

You can specify a pose and a background which is preferred but if your character has some inspiring story and personality behind them
I might be able to wing it as I did for Terra.

Just to give a small update on my situation. I did cave and get a cooling pad. It doesn't necessarily fix the problem but it at least helps keep my laptop running for around 4-5 hours longer than it would have without it. I'm still going to be taking sketchbook comms to raise funds for a new laptop but I will consider coloring/digitizing said sketches if asked for some extra money.
