So I just learned of this new furry con starting up for the first time in May. Its located in downtown Portland, Oregon. And of course, me being from Beaverton, just 20 minutes away, that makes me go "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHH!" XD Truth be told I don't know much about the con, they only got their website up and running a few days ago: http://furlandia.org/ But they got a hotel and convention center set up, and have opened registration, and is set for May 10-12. They are hosting local meets in Portland for anyone who wants to attend and give their input for panels and what not. So please check it out and spread the word ^.=.^ Here's hoping it will be spectacular its first time!

So I've Just now gotten home really, some time ago my mother decided we should go on a cruise, and that cruise started right after AC. So here I am finally -_- *faceplants bed* I will never understand why I thought back to back trips was a good idea. But anyway, AC was indescribably amazing, met all my friends, spent a lot of time with Xerxes <3, and met a whole lot of new people. I've not been a furry for a long time, and this was my first AC, but having been to it I feel more connected to the fandom than ever. I truly love it here and all the people, its a wonderful community. I just wish I had gotten to meet more people, 3 days isn't that much time to meet thousands of people ;_: I totally hope to attend next year depending on my financial situation. But now to a side topic, Alaska! My family decided Alaska would be a great summer(ish) vacation, although the cruise wasn't really our idea. Anyway, we spent about 3 days sailing from Seattle, Washington, up to southeast parts of Alaska. Once there we cruised into fjord called Tracey's Arm. Its a long water way carved out by a giant glacier. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. After that we sailed from port to port, starting at Juneau, then Sitka, Ketchikan, then finally Victoria on Vancouver Island in Canada. Being confined on a ship sharing a small cabin the size of a bedroom with 3 other people was kinda stir-crazy, to put it lightly. But the food on that ship was unbelievable. It had anything you could think of, all of it high quality, and literally infinite. Best part of it all... it was all free! I must have gained a lot of weight... But alas, however nice it was I'm relieved to be home, in my own PRIVATE room, with my own bed and my own things. Now if you'll excuse me, I have about a million messages to sort through...
