PLEASE DO NOT NOTE THIS ACCOUNT.
Posted 13 years agoHey there everyone, just logged on to this account for the first time in about six months, so I wanted to say:
PLEASE DO NOT NOTE THIS ACCOUNT.
If you have any questions about possible fursuit work, please either email them to redtavern[at]gmail.com or note me over on my main account,
czgoldedition
I do not log into this account often and will not respond to you efficiently here.
Also, please note that due to fursuit work winding up rather unprofitable as compared with my normal drawing and painting work (ie, I was making less than minimum wage per hour), fursuit pricing has gone up. Partials now start around $1,000 for head, tail, hands, and feet. Full suits start around $1,500. I do not accept fursuit commissions very often, but if you are interested, email me and we can talk.
Thanks muchly for reading!

Commission Terms of Service.
Posted 14 years agoPosting this here so that I can direct commissioners to it!
Commission Terms of Service:
By commissioning Red Tavern Creations (artist Anya Rose “Chinny” Ewing), the customer (henceforth known as the commissioner) agrees to these terms of service in full.
Fursuit (Costume) Commissions
Pricing
When the commissioner provides a description of the costume desired, Red Tavern Creations will provide them with a price quotation. Once the commissioner makes the initial payment deposit toward this price and materials for the costume are purchased, this price is locked and cannot be re-negotiated by either Red Tavern Creations or the commissioner.
Materials Deposit
An initial deposit consisting of 30% of the total price of the costume must be paid by the commissioner to Red Tavern Creations before any work will begin on the costume requested. Once paid this deposit is non-refundable for any reason. This is to protect Red Tavern Creations from losses, as the initial deposit is used to purchase the materials intended for use on the costume. If the commissioner cancels their costume purchase after materials have been purchased, Red Tavern Creations is free to use these materials in any manner or for any other project.
Payment Time-frame
After the initial deposit is made, the commissioner may make payments in agreed-upon increments until the full price of the costume has been met. The costume price must be paid in full before the costume will be relinquished to the commissioner. Completion date of the costume will be agreed-upon between Red Tavern Creations and the commissioner. The commissioner has up to 60 days after completion of the costume to finish payment, and if the commissioner has not paid in full by that time, Red Tavern Creations has the right to sell the costume to any willing buyer. After the sale of the costume, Red Tavern Creations will refund the commissioner any payments excluding the initial materials deposit, which remains non-refundable and will not be returned to the commissioner. Red Tavern Creations may also make any alterations prior to re-sale of the costume, but reserves the right to sell as-is.
Commission Cancellation
If the commissioner wishes to cancel their costume and construction has already begun, Red Tavern Creations may complete and sell the costume in any manner. Red Tavern Creations will refund the commissioner any payments excluding the initial materials deposit, which remains non-refundable and will not be returned to the commissioner.
Warranty
Red Tavern Creations offers the commissioner a full one (1) year warranty from the day of costume completion onward. Repairs are free, as are initial alterations if portions of the costume do not fit as desired. In order to receive a repair or alteration, the commissioner must ship the costume to Red Tavern Creations at their own expense. Red Tavern Creations will ship the costume back to the commissioner free of charge once the repairs/alterations are complete. Costume must be cleaned prior to commissioner shipping to Red Tavern Creations for repairs/alterations. If the costume is found to be unclean (dirty or possessing strong, unpleasant odors) upon arrival, Red Tavern Creations will ship the costume back to the commissioner without making repairs/alterations and the warranty will be invalidated. Commissioners also may not make alterations to the costume on their own if they wish to retain the warranty. If upon arrival a costume is found to have been altered by the commissioner, Red Tavern Creations will ship the costume back to the commissioner without making repairs/alterations and the warranty will be invalidated. Commissioner repair of per-existing seams and other damage incurred by incidental wear and tear does not qualify as an alteration and is permissible. Commissioner add-ons to the costume that involve additional materials or the creation of holes, flaps, or zippers that did not previously exist on the costume do qualify as alterations and will invalidate the warranty. Any evidence that the costume has been used for adult activities immediately invalidates the warranty.
Appearance of Costume
Red Tavern Creations will build costumes based off of both reference artwork and/or description. However, if reference artwork is not provided, the commissioner may not request free alterations of the costume based on appearance, only physical fit to the commissioner's person. If accurate reference art is provided and Red Tavern Creations has neglected to follow it (in terms of coloration and patterning of fur) then and only then may the commissioner request free appearance-based alterations. Coloring may vary slightly from artwork based on the faux fur fabrics available. Once the deposit is paid and work on a costume has begun, the agreed-upon design of the costume is locked and Red Tavern Creations reserves the right not to agree to any changes in design requested by the commissioner.
Singularity of the Costume
Every Red Tavern Creations costume is individually hand-made and no exact duplicates will ever be produced. The commissioner may not cast from or otherwise attempt to directly duplicate any portion of a costume received from Red Tavern Creations.
Image Reproduction
Red Tavern Creations reserves the right to re-post, print, advertise with, or otherwise publish images of costumes it has created.
Actions of the Commissioner/Performer
Red Tavern Creations is in no way responsible for the actions of the commissioner or any other party wearing a Red Tavern Creations costume.
Shipping
Red Tavern Creations will ship the completed costume at the expense of the commissioner. Red Tavern Creations is not responsible for any damage or loss of costume resulting from shipping. If the commissioner wishes to have the shipment of their costume insured, paying for shipping insurance is the commissioner's responsibility. For international orders, Red Tavern Creations is not responsible for any customs fees, which are also the commissioner's responsibility.
Red Tavern Creations reserves the right to refuse any costume commission for any reason.
Other Artwork Commissions
Pricing and Payment
Price will be agreed-upon prior to the creation of the artwork requested and must be paid in full prior to the creation of the artwork. Once paid for the price of a piece of artwork is locked and cannot be re-negotiated.
Refunds
Once work has begun on a commission the commissioner may not receive a refund. Any time prior to work beginning on a non-costume artwork commission, the commissioner may request and receive a refund, but only prior to work beginning. Work is defined as any physical time spent by Red Tavern Creations, including a preliminary sketch.
Adjustments
For full-color commissions, Red Tavern Creations will present the commissioner with a preliminary sketch prior to finishing the artwork. The commissioner is limited to requesting one (1) major re-draw of the image. A major re-draw is defined as changing the pose, physique, composition, or other large aspect of the image. If Red Tavern Creations does not achieve the image the commissioner desires after the first major re-draw, the fault lies with the commissioner for failing to adequately describe their request. Additional major re-draws can be requested but will cost the commissioner additional payment to Red Tavern Creations for time spent. Red Tavern Creations offers infinite minor re-draws/corrections, but Red Tavern Creations reserves ultimate jurisdiction on what qualifies as a major verses minor re-draw.
Image Reproduction
Red Tavern Creations retains all rights to the image/artwork created and reserves the right to re-post, print, advertise with, or otherwise publish the image/artwork. Red Tavern Creations also reserves the right to print copies of the image/artwork and sell these prints and/or any other reproductions of the image/artwork.
Red Tavern Creations reserves the right to refuse any artwork commission for any reason.

Additionally, after Anthrocon 2011 is over I will be opening up fursuit commissions for THREE new slots. If you were directed to this FA account by my business cards and have interest in nabbing one of these slots, email me at redtavern[at]gmail.com
Hope you guys are all having a rocking con!

Pricing information.
Posted 16 years agoHello! This is the fursuit work showcasing account of
czgoldedition.
I am currently OPEN for suit commissions and pieces. See the journal on my other account for my current work queue.
A partial from me will usually cost around $600+ and a full suit is $1000+. Here's a specific price breakdown:
Head: $500 (comes with articulate jaw and following globe eyes, vision through tear duct).
Modifiers:
Toony style eyes: +$15
Glass doll or taxidermy eyes: +$10
Head hair (wig or hair extensions): +$40
Head hair (shag fur): +$30
Body suit: $400 (can be either two-piece or jumpsuit style).
Modifiers:
Padding: +$150 and up (varies depending on the amount of padding desired, contact for quote).
Hand-paws: $30 (basic "glove" hand paw with arm fur).
Modifiers:
Toony padding: +$15
Claws: +$15
Paw pads: +$15
Feet paws: $75 (feet paws with claws)
Modifiers:
No claws: -$15
Paw pads: +$15
Tail: $30 (stuffed, limp-hanging tail)
Foam core: +$30 (necessary for curly or stiff tails)
All prices are fluid and ultimately dependent upon the specifics of the suit you would like made. For example, if you're looking to get a rabbit fursuit made, I'll obviously charge you much less for the tail than if you desired a lizard with a tail that drags several feet behind your person; a body with spots or other markings sewn-in will cost more than a much simpler body, etc.

Vote Beef!
Posted 16 years agoYeah, so that fursuit tourney thang running over on LJ? Normally I don't pay too much attention to it, but Beef Jerky, created and worn by Matrices, is up in the final four and desperately needs moar votes to keep in the running!
Go vote for him here: http://community.livejournal.com/fursuittourney/
The reason I care is that Matrices was definitely a big inspiration to me when I first tried my hand at making fursuits. She generously stocked her personal website with a whole host of fabulous tutorials and hints to help newbies get off the ground with their projects, and I followed her mesh head how-to in building my very first. I no longer personally use that method of construction, but all the same, I feel like I never would have ever attempted it in the first place without her. And I'm not alone in following that very same tutorial! I know a few other furs with a similar story. For her generosity and contributions to the fursuit making community, I feel she and her suit should be given recognition. That aside, Beef himself is an adorable character, a well done suit and she does a great job hamming it up and giving him tons of personality when donning him.
Go Beef!
