Posted 8 years agoSo it's just about a week after my first fur con and AnthroCon experience and I had a blast!
I have never been to Pittsburgh before to actually stay and enjoy the city and it was awesome to be able to walk around and drink in the sights. There's a lot of amazing architecture and a wide variety of styles; not to mention the buildings were able to cast some really interesting shadows throughout the day which made for some really awesome photo opportunities.
I think my goals for the next fur con I go to will be to take more pictures of fursuiters (I have a surprisingly small amount of pictures of suiters; I guess I was just too shy about approaching people for a photo op, whoops) and to actually go to some panels. XD
I didn't go to any panels at all; its a shame but it was also really hot and humid outside and between feeling gross, having uncomfortable shoes (RIP my feet), and needing to re-apply sunscreen every time I wanted to go outside I ended up not really catching much of the other stuff at the con besides the Dealer's Den and the raves at night.
I did make some new friends though, and it was both nerve-wracking and exhilarating the first day meeting people I had only chatted with online before the con. I did have tons of other fun too in the form of room parties, roaming around PGH, and going to a bar so all in all I would say it was a great success.
I'm trying to see if I can save up some money and maybe make it to Furpocalypse, which happens to be about 15 minutes from where I live, oddly enough.
What are some of your favorite conventions (furry or otherwise) you like going to? Any recommendations you might have for future cons I would want to check out?

On Saturday, June 3rd my cat Flynn swallowed a needle and thread! D:
He is doing okay now and is no longer full of needle, but we have a $2k+ vet bill to deal with and we could use some help!

Hey guys! We are so close to hitting the halfway point of our goal! If we can hit the halfway point I will make a short comic about Flynn's misadventures!
We're only $333.50 away from the halfway point, so if you could continue signal boosting this or even if you can donate it would be really amazing!

I've been working on making up some Flynn comics today as a fun thing to share with y'all if we hit the halfway point to our goal. I'll keep you all posted on here as things change, and a huge thank you to everyone that has shared our page or commented on various social media or donated.

Coloring: deep plum, almost black body, bright red plumage, bright blue designs in fur on top of head in shape of skull, middle to tip of tail vertebrae, and on chest where ribs would be located. Claws and tongue neon green. teeth same color as skull. darker bluish/grey color for underbelly, accents in mane and ears. Also appears to have “socks” on calves/forearms in the darker blue/grey color that taper in a triangular shape the further up the limb they go.
Eye color: neon green with no pupils; look like they are right green lights in the sockets on the "skull" design on head
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 140lbs
Tail length: 5'
Other distinguishing features: hair is really made of red feathers that make a flared Mohawk at top of head and follow neck to middle of back. Fur gives way to red feathering on the elbows. Fur is also a thick mane around neck.
Back feet have one sickle shaped claw on each foot (pads of paws are also the same neon green as claws).
Front paws look more humanoid in shape but end in sharp claws like talons. Tongue is also long and dexterous (like a Komodo dragon's). Body looks fairly androgynous and can at any time have either a penis or vagina.

Posted 8 years agoJust wanted to leave a quick shoutout to SKDaffle for drawing up my character for me and to Ace for commissioning them to do it. It was amazing watching SK draw it up in real time on picarto and I'm super pleased with how it turned out.
