A nice, grim story that started an era of Cthulhu based stories. Quite an excellent achievement, even if it was a bit racist of a book.
9. Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Lord of the Rings is basically a nerd's bible. I love lord of the rings because it started an epic time of fantasy, and chronicles an amazing tale. The movies weren't half bad either.
8. The 13 and 1/2 lives of Captain Bluebear
Walter Moores's First book set it Zamonia, this is an amazing book. Filled with adventure and comedy, it doesn't disappoint, and I recommend you get it.
7. The Spiderwick Chronicles
Another amazing book series, one I particularly enjoyed when I was younger. They were great. The movie lacked in some places, but overall, this was a great series. Great adventure, a "world within a world" scenario that I love, and great writing, and superbly funny places.
6. Artemis Fowl
Artemis Fowl is a great book series. I haven't read them in a while, but they are fantastically written, humorful, and have a great plot.
5. Animorphs
I love this book series. I do. It is great. Read all 54 book, you won't regret it. Has iconic things from late 90's culture, great story, funny moments, tragic one, and it's all meant for kids between 9 and 13. It is amazing.

City of Dreaming Books is the best book ever written about books. Once again set in the world of Zamonia, Walter Moores does not dissapoint. I love this book, and I urge you guys to read it.

A great tale of epic proportions, even if Battle Royal beat it to the idea. The story is different enough so that they are different stories, even if it is the same basic concept. I love the characters, the movie, and everything about the world and the idea. I mean, who wouldn't want to read about teenagers killing each other?

Probably not surprising. I grew up in the potter age. I was born when it first came out, my mom read them, I read them, I saw all the movies, and I cried when it was over. I don't need to explain why it's awesome. You all know damn well why it is.

5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of marriages like Britney Spears' would be destroyed.
6) The only valid marriages are those which produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children.
7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.
9) Children can never succeed without both a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.
10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy or longer life spans.
