As a gamer I thought I start the year with a look back, do note my bellow nominations is based on what I played, not on reviews or others opinions.

Top game 2013

Metal Gear Rising: Revengence: Oh my this game was a thrill ride, A Devil May Cry for the Sci-fi nerd andthe jolt the franshise needed, while being respectful enough to never claim to be anything but a spin-off.

With fun, tight controls, cool moves, a gloriusly over the top cutting mechanic and a plot so bad its good, I still dust of this early 2013 and take it for a spin. Here to hoping Platinum and Hideo gives us a sequel.

Disapointment

Starbound: okey before ya roll out tar and feathers, know Im not disapointed with controls, or gameplay, or graphics, and I know its beta. But my grief will never be patched away. I expected Starbound to be the sci-fi, space faring cousin of Terraria, with tricorders and guns and super computers.

What we gott, a spaceship...and thats it, rest it whacking aliens with ye old swords and mine with ye old pickaxes so we can make more better old swords and pixaxes. Oh sure modern tech does come along...much later, like it does in say...Terria. In the end it is a well crafted game and I give the devs my well wishes, but to me, it was the biggest gaming letdown of 2013.

Hi there folks! Hope you have or will have a happy Holiday with good food, good company and nice gifts, I already had mine and enjoyed it very much.

was dog sitting granma and grandpa dogs today and once done hauled home a old school classic from my childhood, the families 8 bit console, once me and my siblings grew out of it my parents decided to give it to my grandparents, since we had younger cousins who could still enjoy it when they where visiting. But now no one in the family is really young enough for that, so as a gamer I convinced them to let me take it back.

Just a think I wanna throw out there, being the curious kitty I am, local news here in Sweden talks about how in turn American media is turning there gaze on our country, due to the President landing here for his short visit before off elsewhere. Just wondering how big is this coverage? Have you seen/read/listen to any such media? What do they say?

Just thought it be fun to hear it straight from ya average American, and of course if you in turn have curious questions about Sweden, I be happy to answer ^^

Well new and new, it´s my brother-in.law old one, but hey it´s muuuuch better then my old tower, best of all, it can run GW2! Been wanting to play since it was announced.

Sooo, it´s damn fun game, sure combat still to uninvolved for my taste, but surprisingly still fun and the dynamic event system is so fun for a curious explorer kitty like me.

If I have to point out one major disappointment it´s the crafting system, especially when some of the material is darn hard to get, seriously, to get leather I have to hope for a semi rare loot drop, from a select few animal mobs, while crafting weapons is as easy as finding ore veins in the wild, veins that respawn with decent regularity. Anyway it´s a minor nitpick, so far I´m having a blast.

PS: if anyone is curious about hanging out in game my character is on the server Piken Square, just leave a comment here and I´ll note ya my characters name.

Hope ya all have a good time singles and couples, mine has been both boring and joyfull, boring because exam, go figure, but it´s nothing to the joy of all the gifts my love spoiled me with, later today I shall upload them all.

4pm as I type this, only 8 hours left of the old year, and damn it been a good one, well okey 90% of it been either dull or a little exiting, but it definatly picked up these last months, if things go well I´ll finally get out of this life long rut and get a life done for myself.

But if I may be cheesy, the best thing with this year, hands down is  firetally my beloved, a bright light, a splash of colour in my dull life.

so yeah, decided to get back into skype, I gotten myself a new account so I start with a clean slate, just like with my steam and yahoo I´ll give it on a note and ask me bases, I found it to be the best way of having a border patrol against spammers and straight out not having to deal with random folks I may or may not really wanna know on a chat bases.

Tho of course I may add folks on my own if i know there skype, I´ll make it clear it´s me when I do send requests ^^

So I been enjoying Dragon´s Dogma for a few days now and it´s a right blast, thought I just throw together a dot list of a few comments i have about the game, since I´m sure you all read/watch the pro reviews of this out there.

● The Story tho not epic so far isn´t eye rolling bad, all in all meh, it does its job driving your character, nice touch tho having cut scenes show your character as made and as he/she is equipped at the time the cut scene starts

● I must say I love the art style of this game, for being a Japanese game (from Capcom no less) everything is very down to earth, heck strip away the magic and the monsters and it could almost be set in RL history, very refreshing to todays flashy, brightly coloured mess some games can be.

● The games class system (called Vocations) are enjoyable flexible, akin to the job system of a few Final Fantasy games you can jump between these different classes, in turn each class files a role, it´s fully possible to stick to your starting vocation from start and go max level as only that.

● Your AI companions, called pawns are something to note, they are surprisingly smart and arent just pack mules with weapons, they work as a team and use tactics to best there foes, tho they arent flawless, they do sometimes jump into a fight to eagerly, and sometimes you have to babysit mage pawns, but all in all a refreshingly little amount of bother.

● The game has a refreshingly good level of difficulty, not ball crushing hard, but it doesnt hold your hand either, you quickly learn to become paranoid, and few games makes you dread the setting of the sun like this game does. can get a bit silly sometimes how much it packs foes into a area, but all in all you never feel like you die due to unfairness, you almost always can blame sloppy fighting or sloppy preparations from your side.

Just been chatting with my now ex-pet  wolfskull and after a quick talk we both agreed to just go back being friends, her life has been keeping her busy, making it hard for her to be around, and if I can´t keep a social connection with my pet, what´s the use?

Don´t worry tho, she is still a dear friend to me and still chat with her, just now neither of us have to burden ourself with the whole master/pet thing. The art will stay up too, be unfair to remove it and she is okey with it staying up.

Yep, another out of the blue pet finding, it´s the cute and oh so affectionate  Kinala whom agreed to be my pet, just like with wolfskull, it´s just for fun between two adults, so Kinala still be the same girl she always been, just with a nice collar around her neck ;3

So I hope my watchers and friends give her a warm welcome and treat her right ^^
