The end of 2020 draws near..
Posted 5 years agoIt's been a year for everyone, I know..
It's brought a lot of changes.
It brought me some tough decisions and choices I had to make. It was never going to be an easy choice, it was a choice that destroyed me inside. But in the end I had to choose what makes me happy.
That choice was Solberg. :)
Here's to a new chapter in life. The future is bright.

Good riddance, 2018!!!
Posted 7 years agoHeya, anyone who ends up reading this..
This year has had ups and downs. More ups earlier in the year, and more downs more recently.
In February my husband and I purchased our first home. Its a little 2 bedroom townhouse, 3 stoplights fro the farm so I can be near to my horse and chickens. It's perfect for us.
After 15 years old driving my 2003 VW TDI Jetta Wagon, I finally replaced the Rhapsiemobile. Unfortunately the car just started having a lot of issues. I replaced it with a 2015 TDI A3. At first I believed this car to be WAY too fancy for me. But after installing thick rubber mats to protect the floor, and a thick layer of mud from my boots, I have become more comfortable driving it. It's a really nice car and it's really growing on me.
I turned 30 years old in August, so it's all downhill from here.
I recovered from a injury to my left knee, my left shoulder and a broken left big toe. All injuries were not related to each other, I'm just lucky. Currently I am dealing with my right big toe and my right elbow. More or less I am a mess.
In October, my dad and I completed our largest project on the farm yet. We installed a metal roof on our 25 stall horse barn. It was quite the endeavor, and I have been suffering from tennis elbow (tendinitis) ever since. Slowly recovering from that, but still.
The little 2 year old horse I took on in November is not going to be sound enough to be a riding horse. He had a very bad injury as a youngster, and they thought that he was going to be sound/ fine, but as it turns out, the bones never healed all the way, and there is still infection in the area. The most concerning part is that at any point in the future the compromised bone could fracture. So sadly he has to be returned to where he came from because I can't afford to keep a lame horse.
Big Foot did not survive a surgical procedure earlier this month. He returned home in a box containing his ashes and not a day has gone by that I am not gutted by this. He was a wonderful, yet terrible pet. I do not recommend cockatoos for pets, and he was a good cockatoo. My husband and I miss him very much. He was a member of our family and we are gutted.
Then, Christmas morning our family dog of 14 years became suddenly ill. She couldn't stand, and was in severe pain. The emergency vet quickly determined that her spleen was vastly enlarged and ruptured. The only decision to make was euthanasia. RIP Sable.
So, pretty sad overall. Gotta keep my head up and keep on truckin.
I'll be at New Years Furry Ball tomorrow night though! Hope to see you guys there!

Fellow Fur needs help
Posted 9 years agoShe's in a bad spot right now. Any penny would help her move away, from what exactly I'm not certain, but where she is going she will be near her family and has a job lined up for her. She's asked us to pass along her journal, if you can, please do!

AC!
Posted 10 years agoI got to go to AC!
I drove up with Equus and his buddy Mike.
I roomed with them, Yoink, and Moby.
On the drive up, my car was filled to the brim with all of the things. I packed lightly, but i was the only one!
My car started having transmission problems. It stressed the bejesus out of me. I'm taking it to my normal place first thing tomorrow am.
Enough of that jazz.
Yoink is my hero for bringing the air mattress. And everything else. ILY YOINK.
Moby is now a hoss.
I got to meet firestormsix.
I got to me FURSUIT MOMMA PEACEPAWWWWW.
Uncle Kage came out of his way to come say hi to me in suit and comment on my colorfulness, and he kissed my paw!
oh gosh. Everything so much. can't. The public of Pittsburgh loved us so much. Everywhere I went I felt like a celebrity. Normally being honked at is a negative thing, but these guys were just sayin' hi!
I met so many amazing people.
I saw so many suits that I had only seen in pictures before.
The parade was so thrilling and wonderful.
I had to leave stupidly early because of my car.. I got home at noon and watched the dance comp stream atleast.
I can't wait till next year.

Crazy thought..
Posted 10 years agoSo over the last few days I've had this crazy thought..
Of having multiple characters. All named Rhapsie because I'm not creative.
But like, Okay I have my hot pink and yellow wolf.
What about a hot pink and yellow horse.
and a hot pink and yellow kangaroo.
and a hot pink and yellow chicken?
The hot pink and yellow horse is next, 100%. I'm planning this now.
I like the kangaroo idea too.
And the chicken, I mean, maybe. I unno.
Who knows!
/end ramblings.

What an absolute blast today was!
Posted 10 years agoThe mini golf meetup was without a doubt a fantastic success.
Although it was labeled as "Minigolf Meetup" we did so much more than that, and for that, it made me enjoy the outing all the more.
I arrived about 40 minutes early to make sure everything was OK, but I didn't even beat some people there! XD.
The kid at the front desk assured me that the group would be welcome. At 8$ a person, it was affordable for everyone.
And the weather!! What a glorious day!! The wind was there for us most of the time. By about the 15th hole most of us suiters were dying. But that didn't stop us from enjoying the course and company!
There was a birthday party going on, and some of the kids interacted with us, which was pretty fun.
After the round of mini golf we all followed Cheese's jeep to our next event: Cold stone creamery! I have to admit just the drive over there was fun, 5 of us in a car train!
We stood I line for a while at cold stone because we kind of flooded the place with our presence, but that didn't stop us from having fun, mostly at my expense!! (hiccups!!!) hahah
After ice cream we wandered around a bit until we found a super large chess board with some of the pieces missing. Well, lucky us we were a big enough group, we just filled in the blank spots with people! I got to be a queen!! That was an entertaining and interactive adventure.
After that we wandered over to Five Guys and had a blast stuffing our faces and giggling at things and pictures and stuff. We hung around there for quite a while until we decided that it was starting to get a little late.
Overall- 10/10 would do again.
Thanks NOVAfurs!!

Friend in a rough time
Posted 10 years agoI've noticed that a friend of mine is truly about to go through a horrible time, and her idea to help her through this is to get a canine companion, which I can understand. Here is her journal, if anyone would like some art from her, or if you wouldn't mind just pimping out her journal so hopefully someone else can buy from her.

Full suit!
Posted 11 years agoHerro, so i'm on my lunchbreak at work and i'm thinking about my current project, which I am super excited about. I set out on a mission to make my own bodysuit, mostly because I am running pretty paycheck to paycheck lately, but also because I wanted to prove to myself that I was capable of doing so! Sooo, there are lots of pictures on my twitter (Rhapsie), but I will upload some here too. So far i'd say i'm. 70% done. Both arms are pretty much completed, as well as the legs, I just have to sew the body together and attach the appendages.

NOVA FURS-- Big Hero 6 meetup this saturday!
Posted 11 years agoNew account, yippee!
Posted 11 years agoThanks for everyone who has, and will follow me here.
I'm happy to say that I am confident enough in myself and my fairly new identity as this pink and yellow fuzzy wolf, to be able to ditch my 'hiding' account, and show up here, as me.
You are still welcome to call me Dilly, as I still go by that a lot on WoW (my toons either start with Rhaps or Dilly), but I wanted my FA page to be.. Rhapsie.
