Posted a month agoThanks to the remarkably positive response to the last journal, I'll be launching a server for the game!
It'll be game focused and since that's a relatively small group that's interested in that sort of thing just send me a note here on FA and I'll give ya link after i go over the rules with you.

Here's hoping next week isn't too ambitious to get this think launched! the character creation menu is giving me fits right now.

I'm Making a Text Adventure
Posted a month agoThat's right, another text adventure on the web! I'm tossing my feather in the ring to say I think this one is gonna be a fun one and have some re-playability. I'm also coding it all in python and making the UI myself so it's not pretty yet, but that's all going to change!
The basics are you're a hiker that winds up in a different, hungrier, world than where you started. You wake up in a burned out tree in the middle of a forest glade. You have your camping gear, but where are you? What is this place? How will you get un-lost?
I'm aiming to have light character customization, progression, exploration, a relationship system, seasons, and some content locked to playing certain types of characters (the lake is near impossible to swim unless you're playing a shark or orca anthro).
The question for y'all is do you want another Discord to get updates, lob suggestions, and attempt to bribe me with including your character as a rare encounter or someone in the town? (hmu) Or do you just want releases and everyone to cease creating discord in infinitum?
Oh I should have a playable forest area demo ready sometime next week. Expect UI improvements regularly!

Posted 6 months agoI've never in my life experienced the amount of spam calls, email, voicemails, and general annoyance as trying to launch a webpage.
Thanks to the intolerable burden of this, I took the site down and will be looking into other options.

I've been wanting to do something besides discord for keeping track of my stories, settings, and character ideas, so I launched a new web page tied in to my obsidian vault that i do my first draft writings in.
So far I have little on there, but my email is there, the links are working, and I have the domain configured properly.
I think.
It works for me and a couple of friends that tested it out.

Updates
Posted a year agoFirst off, thank all of you that read the first draft of Eden Forge. It got over 1100 views which is 1k over my expectations.
Now that I've gotten some feedback in dms I'm moving it to scraps. Once the editing process is done and the cover fixed the final version will go back in the gallery.
In the future I'm not going to put first drafts up here on FA. I'll be setting up a website for WIP writings, links to my ko-fi, and a place to aggregate feedback before a final post is made.
This really has given me the encouragement I needed to buckle down and get to writing out some of my ideas.
Looking forward to posting more soon.
