Drawing meet is going to be happening on Saturday, February 27th, 2016.

The meet-up place will be at Ivy 's place.
Ask me(zefius) for address.

A few stuff:
Artist:
- Bring your sketchbook/materials if you plan on drawing c:

Non-Artists:
- If you plan on wanting to learn how to draw, you can bring pencils/sketchbook or any materials you can use to draw. If you don't have any materials, we'll come up with something on the spot there.
- If you don't plan on drawing, that's fine too. We'll plan something else for you guys. Maybe posing if you're up for it.
- If you're not drawing, try not to distract others when we're teaching them to draw things. That can be very annoying.
- If you plan on being a "poser" you can bring props, such as a foam sword or anything similar, so that at a certain point we can draw themes relating to it or literally grasping objects, etc.

Both:
- Have fun

We have this idea of, first, just doing an art jam and draw whatever comes to mind. Then we would start with teaching certain art skills, if anyone wants to be taught, and then we could come up with other things after those. The order is not permanent. We also have collaboration ideas and whatnot, doodle times, etc. A lot of ideas.

We do need people to bring extra tables/chairs. If someone could bring those, that'll be greaaat. Please send  zefius (me) a message or contact me in any way if you're bringing these.

Anyone else that's not bringing any tables or chairs can just bring snacks/drinks.

PS: If anyone has Facebook, please request to join the group: Los Furries de Puerto Rico. We have an interview process, which I'm usually in charge of. Usually, updates are posted faster in the group page there, and then posted/edited here.

Good morning fellow ricans and the alike! It''s been a while since a proper update here, so apologies all around.
We are gonna try to make more of an effort to update more here as well. I've appointed as a moderator on here just so there can be a flow more consistently. Of course though, most of the updates are happening on
Facebook Group so for those that have not joined, feel free and also reason being for updating here as well its for those that don't have facebook and such.

Things have been really busy for the most of us with work or school or both @__@ but for the most part lets see if we can start of this year with positivity and hopefully more meets.

There is a new meet in the works which I don't it's been done before aiming for just art jamming. So we are planning to a drawing/art jamming meet, and then later down the line we can do a table top/card game meet and other ideas of the sort. It's just to variate from just videogame meets even though we will still have those and hopefully another bowling meet soon. Just putting some ideas out there and do them in different counties.

Any suggestions please feel free to comment, also if you like the ideas in mind and so fort. The hardest part is the coordination where everyone can get the maximum benefit all round where people can be available. We are very aware that most of us work and study so find finding the right time for everything is the tricky part.

Since we've been more active in the Facebook page: .:Furries de PuertoRico:. and just keeping things more up to date.

We will try to make more effort to update here. However, if you wanna join, you can send in a request through facebook and the admins will screen ya and make sure all is gonna and you'll be in. By joining make sure you check out the events posted.

Please be courteous, we are trying make sure the group stays drama free and such.

There's a gaming event taking place at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum on November 1st, called Arcadia.
What is Arcadia? Basically it's a GamerCon of sorts. For more info

They will be hodlding a Cosplay Contest and a Game Competition. They'll also host some upcoming game demos as well.
For those that will be attending the event, post here and discuss what is the best time and place to meet.

Tickets can be bought in the arena for 15$ so be sure to go early.
There's no time of arrival for anybody, so make sure you discuss below so everybody is up to date.

Bring your 3DS everybody!! We could all hold our own little gamer's lounge and duke it out in SmashBros,
Mario Kart and Pokemon, or just hang out on Animal Crossing. :P

Morning! Reminder the bowling meet is going to be this Saturday the 26th! Starting around 6pm -info below-


We've been seeing what bowling ally would be fun and perhaps little bit for accessable so Carolina Bowling Center has a very interning offer
If you guys like the whole "extreme bowling" and it "laser blowing"
Starting at 9pm till onward, there's a 2 for 1 deal and the shoes are $3

Here is the webpage just scroll down and look for "specials" and you'll see the laser bowling thing.

Anyhow, around 6pm we are gonna meet up at Chilli's from plaza Carolina cuz it's the closest land mark to the bowling ally and after dinner we can head out there scope tha ally and see what else the place has to offer we hit the lanes.

That way we can chill, talk getting to know new faces, get reacquainted and just be silly.

Now for one little thing. This activity is to keep in mind, we want everyone to have a good time. Communication is extremely important so now that you guys have the necessary info, do the necessary coordinations if you must. If you are bumming a ride with someone, please I implore you all to be mindful and considerate. Consider the fact that whom ever is giving a helpful hand is going out of there way for you. So please be courteous. You can always help out with gas for ride, that's always welcome.

I say this due to other meets. We don't want any other squabbles that can get out of hand.
These meet are meant for fun.

Hola a todos! It's your friendly out of touch round green cat here dusting off this account to make a post. It's been so long since I've made a journal post here. My biggest apologies for really being out of the loop of everything. But thought I'd take a chance and perhaps see where this goes. So yeah, onward with the post.

Well since comic con had come and gone 2 months over,
Well....shall we do a new meet...HMMMMMMM!?!?! O--o

There hasn't been a big meet in some amount of time, so why not!?
Now that even though there is a good chunk of us that are working, as well there are a good chunk also in summer break.

We are looking for suggestions for next week possibly a Friday, Saturday or Sunday as a meet day!

It's been a while since we done one going to one of the botanical gardens
(The one in caguas is rather nice) and we can do a coffee place right after to cool off under some nice air conditioned roof.

Something along those lines. If anybody has any suggestions, are very welcome.
Also there is a nice book store in santurce called AC libros
Very plensant, however it is rather small and parking can be an issue so..


Whatever you guys can come to a nice compromise
And we can have vote.

So yes!! Let's have a go! :3

First of all, let me give a warm welcome to all the fellow furs
who watched us, we are very happy to see the community growing!!

Its been quiet, we know. I, Azkridth, want to speak for a moment
in behalf of those of us who maintain this group. We have been
busy with different events that are slowly changing our lives beyond
what we have expected, and it is no easy feat. We, as much as we'd
like to participate in so many things, are limited in time.
We are glad all of you guys understand that, and we love you for it~

Now for the header of this journal, I'd like to announce, although in short notice,
that Comic Con 2014 is barely days away, and we would be glad to meet all of you
newcomers who are able to assist the convention.

Here are the details:

We will meet at 3:00PM in the lobby. Just look for the grand piano to the right
as you walk into the convention center. There will be nobody in particular to address yourselves to,
we are all a family and we all have a place, so don't be shy and just approach the group,
chat and have fun! I'm sure we are easy to find... extremely easy. :3

As organized as we would love this to be, it's a bit of an unplanned thing,
but it's still very possible to make with your collaboration. If there is any prerequeisite for this,
it would be to have something to identify yourselves as so that others can recognize or acknowledge you
(A badge, ears or tail and things like such). Not to worry, if you do not have any kind of badge, it's still okay,
just ask around for the RicanFurs, someone is bound to point you in the right direction.

As always, be safe, and see you all at PRCC 2014!!

Hey how is everybody? Here's to announce an official date for the Furicuas Furmeet. It will be held in Plaza Del Sol on Saturday 27 of this month. We will meet at the food court, 2nd floor.

It will be a movie night (Pacific Rim), so a good time to get to Plaza Del Sol would be between 4:30/5:30PM to make it more accessible if some can't get here early because of distance, work, and in case of setbacks.

Wepa! How is everyone? We know that it's been quite a while since we we've been actually planning and hosting another meet soon. So, here's what's up:

As usual, you'd all know that most of us are very busy due to school, college, work, and so on... Summer is here, and it's already leaving! So we've got to do something about it. We've discussed places of interest that would be best for a meet, and due to convenience, a mall meet would be most appropiate.

This is only a poll, to discuss the following: Place where the meet will take place (eg: Outlets de Barceloneta, Plaza del Sol (Bayamon), Plaza las Américas (San Juan), Plaza del Atlántico (Arecibo) and so on.

This journal will be monitored and updated regularly to let everybody know of the places, and to let everybody know who will be attending and who can't and so on.

Where?:
Most people suggested Plaza Las Americas, or Plaza del Sol in general. I believe it's possible to suggest more places that could ease access to other furs from other places farther from the Metro Area.

When?:
Probably a week from now, everyone's been suggesting to go to a place where a Cinema is easily reachable to go watch a movie during the meet.

This sounds like a great idea!!

Wepa everyone! How was PRCC 2013 for ya'll?! Hope everyone had fun. It was nice to see the group come together at one place to enjoy each others company.

If you have pictures/videos of the group, don't forget to link/share it with the ricanfur group so we can all see it!

Alrighty guyz and gurlz, PRCC will be our next encounter. We are expecting most of you to attend so please 'check in' by commenting on this journal. Tell us what day you're coming if possible. We will be most likely meeting at the same place as last year around the lobby/kiosk/piano area around 2pm-ish. Wear your tails, ears, costumes, cosplay stuff, whatever. Also, bring your badges and/or RicanFurs pin so we can all identify easily.

Buy your tickets! (if you haven't so). I've been told there's a few left or something like that (who knows). If you want more info about PR Comicon and how to get tickets then visit:

Bueno pues hemos escuchado (muchas veces) que el grupo esta inactivo/muerto/cremado/en el carajo/etc y pues por tanto aqui un nuevo post (finally). Pero como deben imaginarse, las razones de la ausensia son bien obvias. Muchos estan en clase o trabajo (o ambas) entre otras cosas personales y pues se hace dificil planificar cosas.

However, ya se acerca el verano (NO MAS CLASES YAY!). Sou, puede ser que se planeen pal de cosas. Pero lo mas obvio es lo proximo, PR ComicCon Mayo 25 y 26. Asi que ahora tienen la oportunidad de decir quienes van o no para ComicCon. Solo dejen un post, den ideas o cualquier cosa que les gustaria hacer. Solo comenten y vamos a ver si se logra algo...

By vote, it has been decided that we will be going to Krash on Halloween night. Krash does an open Halloween party in the whole street with costumes, music, drinks, etc. Here is what's gonna happen:

- We will be meeting at 9pm at Plaza las Americas in front of Ponderosa.
- We depart at 9:30 from there to Krash
- Bring costumes, tails, ears, paws, wings, etc

So if you wanna have a great night, come on over and party!

So yeah, planes han sido un poco dificiles de hacer ya que empezaron las clases y estamos muy ocupados...blablablabla BUT...who is up for hanging out during halloween night Oct 31st? Seria cool if we make a small/medium group of people to go out trick or treating somewhere or party somewhere. That way we can wear costumes, tails, ears, etc etc y caminar por ahi. So what do you all think? Comment below with ideas or contact  Azurel_Husky (thru skype mostly)

P.S: Para aclarar, esto es solo una idea para q se hagan grupitos por area para ir de halloween. Por ejemplo, los del sur hacen su grupo si quieren, area metro tambien, so and so. It's not like "OMG, every RicanFur meet at San Juan and hang out on Wednesday night thing...". Solo para q no se confundan

Epales chikos y chikas, esperamos que hayan disfrutado los ultimos dos furmeets Bolera Cupey y Ponce Imagination Cafe.

Estamos haciendo planes para el proximo furmeet y queremos sus opiniones/sugerencias. De veras quisieramos hacerlo en algo del area oeste si es posible para poder darle oportunidad a los furs de por ahi y ver caras nuevas. Asi que tenemos varias opciones por ahora como:

1- Aguadilla Ice Skating: Aguadilla Website info
2- Mayaguez Zoo: Mayagüez website info
3- Playa (either Rincon, Isabela, Aguadilla, etc)

Para la fecha, tenemos un día feriado el 3 de Septiembre (Dia del Trabajo) en el cual esperemos que quizas la mayoría este disponible ya que estamos en 'back to school' asi que los días son mas dificiles de escoger. Más adelante estaremos planeando mas meets como otro Furbowl por ejemplo en los weekends.

Por ahora, sugerencias. Que quieren hacer? Les gusta la idea? Comenten!

Epales gente! Que tal a todos!! Well it's fun to know that this month has a couple of days off and so, why not use them, no?

Sunday July 15th: Furbowl! We can try to go either Cupey bowling, Carolina or caguas bowlera. (we are trying to coordinate which can hold us)

Wednsday July 25th: imagination (anime) café in ponce! It's a nice little mom and pop place with cosplaying servers and very nice atmostpher.

Hola gente! It's been a long absence and apologies for that. Our group has been busy with their own thing individually, so we seen your requests and such and so the time has come for a new "encuentro" furmeet. However, PR comic con is also approaching which would be a great place to find new peeps and familiar faces alike. The comic con will be held in the New convention center in Old San Juan on May 26-27. So, I know plenty will be there and it's gonna be fun. So it's up to you guys, do you want a meet before the PR Comic Con or soon after, either way we would like to hear suggestions in places that's Not Plaza las Americas please. And we will vote.

Let us know what you want since it's overdue and there's some new faces we've
been seeing around.

Epales gente! Us at Ricanfurs would like to wish you all a very happy holidays and and exciting and good upcoming new year, for all of you.

We would like you guys to comment and tell how ya'll sped the holidays and how you're gonna spend new years and what resolutions you have for the new year. We would love you guys to share the warmth and spirit.
