A few job changes.
Earning certifications to get into IT.
Moved 3 times within a span of a year and about to move again!
I want things to stay steady, for fuck's sake. I just wanna make art, man. >:C

Posted 6 years agoI'm headed out to Pittsburgh, PA for AC19 tonight. I'm glad I get to take off and go somewhere new after booking everything a few months ago. Sometimes it helps relieve the tension of living my everyday life as a worker in retail because sometimes I feel like there's no end to the negative shit that I have to put up with, but that changes today, at least for a couple days anyway. I'm most interested in branching out and possibly meeting some new people, and definitely excited about meeting a couple of my art heroes. That's all I really have to say for now, I suppose.

Posted 7 years agoJust posting because I haven't posted in a long while. Just focused on my own shit, and have switched jobs while doing some other stuff outside of work since then. I've been learning how to manage my time better as of late, and it's kinna sortaaaa working...ish.

But long story short, I've been tied up at a new job, spent a lot of time just practicing and studying my ass off. I set out to be a great artist, and I'm not looking to half-ass any part of it.

Well, it's that time again!
Posted 11 years agoJeez Louise! I haven't posted anything in word form for months! Anyway, there's been a ton of different things happening within that time period that I'll briefly cover some of what's been happening:
- Obviously the release of Pokemon Bank was delayed, and that drove me insane since I wanted to bring all my bros to Gen 6, not to mention my 6IV Ditto that use for breeding--which is piss easy now, btw. Got that taken care of, but in lieu of that driving me up the wall the following happened.
- Discovered my biological dad is alive and kickin'; he's just been under the radar for a long time, but unbeknownst to me he made a LinkedIn page and my mother who was on the same boat with him in Holyloch, Scotland had contacted prior crew members to track him down a month a month before I knew about it. I had made myself known to him and his spouse, which in response I was promptly blocked on my facebook account. He contacted me on my LI page and I responded a few days after receiving a message, believing I was never gonna hear from the man. No response since then, so no skin off my nose.
- I've been devoting a lot of my time to honing my skills as opposed to posting whatever I begin to draw. Focused practice helps tons, but I'm still trying to manage not to overwork or overwhelm myself in the process. I'd say my progress has gained a bit of traction. I've also learned to be confident in what I draw--it may not be where I want in terms of quality and detail, but it'll get there. May will be a solid year I have spent drawing; and a reminder to keep going to increase the possibility of bigger and better things.
- Oh yes, finished my Pokedex in X version, and I breed Pokemon. 'Cuz it's fun.

Practice, practice, practice!
Posted 12 years agoI've recently begun PencilCat's 30 Days of Improvement aka Improvement Hell. I got about 10 days worth of work into it and decided to take a step back and re-evaluate some things. I've never had any real practice with perspective and figure drawing, so changed up my usual habits to incorporate regular daily arting, drawing from references, as well as the prior two subjects. Feeling like I've got an art block or just no interest to draw anything from my head recently, practice has been substituted in its place; being able to be patient and learn from your mistakes is quite pleasing.
On the gaming front I'm not doing much. Animal Crossing: New Leaf is filling in the gap for Pokemon until the bank comes out next week. I've got tons of mons to bring over and fill my dex with as a remainder for finishing the one on my White version.
Haven't been adding much to this page as of late. Don't worry, though. I should have some more furry artwork up within the next month or so, but don't count on that.
But that's all I have for now. Until next time.
