So I imagine a lot of you are wondering where I've been and what's going on since I've pretty much disappeared for 6 months. Well, some MAJOR life changes have happened, some huge decisions were made and I thought you guys might like to hear about it :3 So as you guys know I've been aspiring to be feature film animator. Well, not anymore! It took a lot of pain and a lot of debilitating anxiety to come to terms with the fact that the animation career is very different from what I wanted out of being an animator. Technical skill trumped self expression to much because I would have to turn my art into a means of survival it sucked all the fun out of it and turned it into nerve wracking ordeal. So instead, I'm exploring Optometry as a career path that promises to have a much better quality of life for me than being an animator would provide. I also needed to put down the pencil and take a serious break from drawing since it became such source of stress. After 6 months of not drawing and reminding myself its just drawing and isn't the end of the world anymore, I'm slowly starting to become less paralyzed by anxieties and more able to find the enjoyment in it that I used to. I'm still taking it easy for now and letting myself adjust back to real life again with an upcoming internship at an optometrist's office in NYC, but as I start to loosen up and feel better, drawings may start happening again :3 man it feels SO good to be free from the competitive world of professions art! Anyways, that's about it for now. Thanks guys!

Hey guys :3 So I bought this Cintiq about a year and a half ago, and it's great to draw on but it's tooooooo big for me. I put an ad for it on Craigslist, but JUST in case any of you here were interested, I wouldn't want you guys not to know about it. So yeah! Hey guys! It's been a crazy past few months, I'll tell ya! Constant vacationing, places to be, stuff going on, it just never ends! ... until now :3 for like, 1 month :3 So June was pretty dominated by these online drawing lectures I've been taking that are actually SERIOUSLY good - if anyone reading this is interested in learning how to animate, or interested in learning how to draw characters really effectively, let me direct you to this place, Studio Technique

So immediately following the end of those lectures was the beginning of Anthrocon, and as soon as that was over, I went to visit  Scurrow and  Larathelabrat for a few days. What fun! <33 Those two are a really awesome bunch :D I got to get some serious fursuiting in, and THAT was awesome :D And then immediately after getting home from that, it was off to Transformus - a regional burn, essentially a smaller, east coast splinter from the Burning Man festival. FIRE AND GLOWING COLORS EVERYWHEEERRE o___o So I just got back from that at 3:30 in the morning today and now I'm tired as shit. goodnight xDD <3
