When I was little...
Posted 14 years agoI wanted to take supermarket lobsters home and rescue them.
I was morbidly curious of dead and dying animals my cats would leave in the yard.
I held no mercy. Few children do.
I tried hardest to fit in with the boys.
I was always the animal, the monster, when I played make-believe with my sibling or friends.
I was a master at hide-and-seek.
I was the "weird" kid.
I had an unwavering adoration for Savage Garden.
My mother was (and still is) my favorite person to hide within.
I thought we bowed our heads and closed our eyes during prayer because we weren't allowed to see angels that might appear.
I was more afraid of walking through the house at night than anything else.
I thought a sheep could be kept in a suburban back yard like a dog.
My bike was my best friend.
I was a Pokemon Master.
No one was quicker than I at Frogger.
I loved board games.
My room was pink and mint green.
I collected unicorns and dragons.
I enjoyed gathering slugs at night.
I lost faith.
I was tougher than my brother.
I saw a ghost.
