Posted 9 years agoSo, I have been thinking about getting a webcam for a while now, one that attaches to my laptop via USB preferably, so that I can watch movies and TV with my girlfriend.... without needing to turn my laptop around, because it's kind of annoying.
So, my question is, Does anyone know of a good (relatively cheap) webcam that I can buy/whatever?? as it stands I've only got the built in camera on my laptop and it can be annoying to watch movies with, lighter backgrounds get whited out and she can't see anything until a darker picture comes up...

feel free to come check out the stream, chat, lurk in the shadows (just be wary of stray rockets... if I don't know you are there I can't protect ya from them sorry XD) or just watch and enjoy the commentary XD I do actively respond to most questions in chat since I have it pulled up on my laptop while I'm playing.... small rant/whatever
Posted 9 years agonot really sure I would call this a rant though.... guess it's more along the lines of complaining I guess......... or just wondering "why bother" ..... so anyway... I like streaming and stuff... watching other people and talking with them and such.... but lately I've noticed......... my streams are like... completely dead, it's usually only my girlfriend who watches anymore and in the entire 8-9 hour stream.... MAYBE 1 or 2 people come in and they never stay long. Am I doing something wrong? is my stream lagging and unwatchable?? I honestly don't know. Now I know I'm not streaming huge popular games like Call of Duty and things like that, but I'm not streaming completely unheard of games either. lately it's been a game called 7 days to die, it's not super popular like CoD is but it's not even close to being unheard of, however.... it goes back to what I said before... I'll stream for multiple hours and there might be 1 or 2 people that stop by for a minute or two and then nothing. it wasn't like this before, I know I haven't streamed for a while and I can be kind of inconsistent with my stream times and such (pretty much whenever I feel like turning it on), but I used to have 3 or 4 people who would always pop in and hang out, chat, goof off, whatever, while I was streaming... which makes it more enjoyable for the streamer.
I guess I'm just starting to wonder what the point is.... as an example... at the time of writing this journal I've been streaming for roughly 2 hours... I will admit, I was away for probably about 30 minutes total, but even still. I've had maybe a total of 5 people show up and the counter never got above 3 (1 person is myself since twitch counts my account as a viewer on my laptop so I can keep an eye on the stream and actually respond to people... without having the game squished due to the twitch app being snapped).
edit: Am I scaring people off by actually talking??????????? what, should I unplug my headset and ignore the viewers like I've seen some popular streamers do? I've seen a few who completely ignore the viewers and anything that's going on in the chat, like... is that what I'm supposed to do to get people to actually stick around and stuff????

XD helpful would be nice too since I tend to suck at explaining things and I am useless when it comes to making stuff with redstone XD

it took them HOW LONG to get Heists content released for online play...... and actually rather shockingly... THEY DON'T FUCKING WORK.... I've spent the last 2 hours trying to get past the first fucking lobby..... basically you get on... you get like 6 phone calls from various people since they added a bunch of new stuff as well as broken Heists.... and one of the calls is Lester (big shock there right?) so you go over to Lester's warehouse and he's creepy and weird as always but then he sends you off and tells you to go to your apartment where they have changed ONE WALL of the previously unused room in the more expensive apartments (we all knew they were the Heist room already but really.... such a tiny change to the room) anyway.. so you will see a big green H on that room... go in and hit right on the D-pad to start the mission...... or should I say.. ATTEMPT to start it since it doesn't actually start.... your character pulls out their phone and pokes it a couple times then the screen shifts and shows you walking over to your couch... and then you get a pop-up window saying "failed to join a lobby" or whatever it says
oh ... big surprise... as I'm typing this up.. I go to try again and it decides to let me through....... but seriously what the fuck Rockstar... you promised us with the FIRST UPDATE we would get Heists... and it's been what? a year... a year and a half??? and there's this much trouble getting into the LOBBY .... and actually earlier it just flat out told me the Rockstar servers were offline and GTA Online wasn't even accessible .....
I'll post another journal if this actually goes through and let you guys know how they are ^_^

Guild Wars 2 race help

I picked up Guild Wars 2 and haven't gotten into it just yet (takes me forever to make a character normally... so I doubt I will be very far along by the time people reply to this journal.... if any do at all... it's usually just my girlfriend who does) but anyway I am wondering what (if any) do the different races have going for them? I've looked at the website but it doesn't give much detail other than "this race gets unique weapons or racial talents" ..... doesn't say WHAT talents or WHAT kind of weapons..... and I'm too lazy to dig through the forums XD .. also not being one to conform to what every one else says is the best combination ... I play how I like... I just like to learn about the game and such so I can help others ^_^
so basically.... what do the different races get? and preferably more detailed than the websites racial description.... which is more of a backstory than "this race gets this stuff" kind of thing

Posted 10 years agook so my friend got me into playing this phone game called Plague Inc. .... well while waiting for UFC to install on my xbox.. we are playing it... him on his phone... me on mine.... he just started a new plague and has called it "Furries" ......... he said it's going to be a neurological disease XD

I am curious about the dagger Margyr .... the description says "To unleash the power of this weapon, one must trust in it complete, and not use a shield." ..... is that just some stupid game description or is that an actual thing... like the weapon is stronger if you don't have a shield equipped......... also I just decided I'm going to stream it because why not and I'm bored XD

Posted 11 years agowell nobody said anything in my last journal about looking for a minecraft server and I'm bored again and wanting to play... I have more fun when playing with other people since I like to have someone to talk to and get their opinion on things when I'm working ^_^ and I'm not very good with stuff like building big redstone chains to make things work and stuff.... so I usually end up asking for someone to help with that...
so.. anyway I play on Xbox and PC... but I am looking for a friendly and active PC server to play on... I have a couple friendly servers already but they are so small that nobody is ever on when I want to play which does kind of suck.
whitelist servers or public servers I'm not too picky ^_^ long as if it's survival... my stuff doesn't get stolen when I am not online XD

Posted 11 years agoI'm trying to make an emblem on Armored Core Verdict Day and I would like to use the Chinese characters for Sparrow and Fire... I think I found Fire... but I don't think I see Sparrow... and I don't really trust Bing translator...
Bing translator says the following
Sparrow is 麻雀
and Fire is 火
I found what looks like Fire ... although the more I look... it's not the same... but I can't find anywhere online that tells me what the ingame Chinese characters are.... if anybody can find something like that <3 I would be VERY grateful... or if you have the game and can like... post a screen shot or can write them and what their English translation is .. and post it here <3 I know it's probably a lot to ask but I have looked for over an hour now and can't find anything... maybe somebody else will have better luck
